The neatly groomed Goddess sat upon the ground, dark blue eyes drifting across the plains in obvious boredom. Where was her precious rain? Then again, she hadn't felt anything strong in the past few days, and preferred it to be a natural event. Forcing it just wasn't as rewarding.
Her beautiful wings twitched as she moved them gently and she longed for the refreshing touch of the rain... Tilting her head back, the beads of her delicate headdress came to rest about her neck, crystals dazzling in the sun. She was a sight to behold, her blue-grey body stretched out on the sandy ground, white delicate swirls climbing her forepaws.
And then, as if it had heard her call, and was simply responding to her longing, it came, gentle and cooling, the rain fell on first her nose, then her face. Grateful, a smile grew on the lionesses face, as she sat in the wonder of her own domain, exictement and contentment warming her heart.

Not far from where the Goddess was sat, a God named Bahari'nswi was slowly walking along, his eyes fixed on the ground. He was making his way towards a small river nearby, just to check on his creations there. He had soon gotten tired of flying though, and now he was tired of walking. The sun was very high in the sky and there wasn't a cloud in sight. This just wasn't his day.
"Stupid sun." He muttered, before lifting his head up to look around for the river. It was around here somewhere, he was sure of it, yet his eyes only saw sand in all directions. That was until he spotted a figure nearby that caused him to smile. It was another God. He could tell because of the magnificent blue wings that were extending from it. Deciding he deserved a break, he made his way over.
"Good morning." As he got closer, Bahari'nswi noted that the figure was infact a Goddess. She was a very pretty shade of blue, and of course, he was a big fan of the colour blue. Her wings were something else though. If he wasn't so fond of his own, he would say that they were the nicest wings he had ever seen.

Then, as her concentration fizzled out, so did the rain, but then the lioness realised she wasn't actually concentrating at all, blinking her large blue eyes and looking rather confused for a second. She realised another form was headed her way and pulled herself up onto dainty paws covered with cutely curled fur. It looked like another god, and she worried a little. She'd never really held a conversation with a god before, she'd only really seen them in passing and cause she was a little shy she tended to avoid them sometimes. But polite as she was she answered his greeting. "Morning." Her voice was soft and high pitched, soothing to listen to. Her large eyes possessed a childlike innocent but such deep emotion as she looked over Bahari, slightly in wonder. He seemed to possess fins for wings, and his mane was long and curly and beautiful, and his pelt seemed to shimmer with different beautiful colours.

The rain had disappear by the time Bahari'nswi reached the mystery Goddess, so he didn't even realise that it had been there. When he reached her, he quickly positioned himself in the shade and flopped into a sitting position. He usually made more of a show than this when meeting others, but he was just so fed up. Bahari being Bahari though, he managed a quick flex of his wing spines, showing them off a bit before folding them back down again.
"We are not a fan of the sun." He said finally, with a small shake of his head. "It's warm and unpleasant. It makes Us sticky, but not in a good way." The way Bahari'nswi talked was certainly strange to most, but not to him. "Oh, where are Our manners? Our name is Bahari'nswi. Pleased to meet you."

"We?" She tilted her head for a second, before supposing that was just the way the god referred to himself. Unless he meant his domain, which was obviously something water related, and made her smile. He did look rather like those creatures you found in the sea and rivers, except he had legs and a mane. What were they called again?... Fish? "My name is Nyesha'Densi, nice to meet you too" She nodded gently. "You can call me Nye, however."
In thought for a moment the Goddess started to speak again, blue eyes admiring Baharis thick mane and shimmering almost prismatic pelt. "May I ask of your domain? You see I may be able to help you. I much prefer rain over sun." She smiled happily.

Hm, yet another lioness who was confused by the way he spoke. He was used to it by now though, so as long as the Goddess didn't pursue it, he had no need to tell her that that was simply the way he spoke. "Nye. That's a nice name." He smiled. "You may refer to Us as Bahari if you wish."
When asked about his domain, Bahari'nswi's grinned widened somewhat. He was extremely proud of his domain, and loved to tell others about it. "We are the fabulous God of Fish. We are responsible for the creation of all fish." He then raised a brow, curious as to how the pretty blue Goddess would be able to help him. "And what might your domain be?"

"Thankyou" The lioness then chose to accept that it was simply the way the male spoke, she knew alot of lions had their own personal traits, she was sure it made him distinctive. "Bahari" She repeated. "Nice to meet you too" At the mention of his domain she felt a little swell of pride in her stomach. She'd guessed right. "Fish! What a fabulous domain indeed!" The little water dwellers fascinated her, she spent time watching them sometimes, their fluid and sometimes dashing movements. Tilting her head she grinned. "Mine, would be rain."

"Rain you say?" Bahari'nswi then looked up at the sky, eyes narrowed as the sun greeted him. "That's certainly a very useful domain, especially on a day like this." Saying that, he turned back to the Goddess. "We would love for you to use your domain to help Us cool down."
Saying that, the God of Fish continued to look over the Goddess of Rain. "We are such a fan of the rain, We are surprised that We have never met you before. Do you live in this desert?" That would explain why they had never met, as Bahari rarely came here.

She smiled as she understood that this magnificent God appreciated her domain. It was always nice to know that someone appreciated her work. "I suppose since you long for it, and your domain is so closely related, I can help you." Her crystalline wings fluttered slightly as she looked into the horizon, and by her willing fat droplets of rain darkened the dusty floor. In answer to his question, after eyeing the weather she adored, she turned to Bahari and shook her head gently, her headdress making the faintest sounds. "I just wander, really, I don't tend to stay in one place for long."

"Thank you." He said with a smile, before looking up at the sky in anticipation. Dark clouds soon rolled in, and it wasn't long before a large droplet of rain hit his nose, followed by a full on shower. The God purred deeply as the rain massaged his body, causing her silvery coat to shimmer with many beautiful colours. His mane soon began to take on water, but since he was the God of Fish, his mane remained thick and curly. "Wonderful."
When he was finally content, his attention returned to Nyesha. "Your domain is truely fabulous, like Ours." When she revealed that she was a wanderer, he nodded, seemingly being able to relate. "We live in the sea, but the sea is an incredibly large place. We move about a lot, to check on Our millions of creations."

She gave a small smile and lowered her gaze, flattered by the Gods appreciation of her gift. It actually wasn't very often that she came across someone that told her that they loved her domain. She always assumed that everyone loved the rain, as she did, but recently had realised that to some, it was a mere annoyance. Alot of lions didn't like getting their fur wet. But here before her, was a magnificent God, with an interesting domain which meant a love of water. She thought their meeting rather lucky, and as he spoke, was drawn to learn more about the God. He too, didn't stay in the same place for long. "Theres a certain beauty to freedom." Nyesha said simply. "Millions of creations?" She'd never really learnt about fish, she knew there were big ones, small ones, and ones of different colours, but were there really that many? Did they all look similar? Withdrawing the urge to bombard Bahari with questions she simply tilted her head in thought.

Bahari'nswi chuckled as the Goddess lowered her head, seemingly a bit shy about her domain. "You shouldn't be so modest. You, like Us, are the ruler of a domain that the World couldn't possibly live without. Can you imagine how dull the sea would be if it wasn't filled with Our brilliant creations?"
At the Goddess' next comment, the large God slowly nodded his head. "It has taken Us many lifetimes to explore the sea in its entirety. We have never grown bored though, not one bit." She seemed unsure how to react in regards to his creations comment. Lucky for her, he would be more than happy to explain. "We are responsible for the creation of every single type of fish. Because We are so great, We made them all very different in colours, size and shape. Without Us, the sea would just be filled with marine mammals, and they're just icky."

It was hard not to notice Bahari's vanity, but Nye understood. She had never thought herself essential before, that she was responsible for something the Earth really needed. She thought carefully about the Gods words, and then realised that she had never truly appreciated the sea, or admired the beautiful creations within it. Every fish? He was responsible for that much? Oh how she would love to see. Shyly she spoke quietly. "D-do you think perhaps you could show me?" Nyesha paused. "I've never really seen that many fish."
Oh, the Goddess certainly wasn't helping with his vanity.

"Of course We could show you." Bahari'nswi beamed. "One of Our powers allows Us to gift others with the ability to breathe and talk under water, so that they may explore Our fabulous domain in more detail." Saying that, he looked around. "We were actually on Our way to a river that is somewhere nearby, to check on the fish there. We don't get to see Our fresh water creations as much as Our salt water creations."
When he turned back to the Goddess, he shook his head. "We don't see the river though, so perhaps We have come to the wrong desert." He frowned, unhappy that he had spent all this time in the wrong desert. "We suppose it could be worse." His frown was soon replaced by a smile. "At least We got to meet you, and experience your wonderful domain."

"Oh, Wow," Breathed Nye. In all honesty, she had little to no experience with other gods, and specifically their powers. She had never even began to imagine what other gods could do, what their powers were. Baharis abilities seemed absolutely amazing and the Goddess could barely control her exictement. Breathe and talk underwater? She would have never thought it possible! Which was a strange thought for her naive self. "A river, I don't see a river.." She watched him frown, and wished she could lead him to a river so he could show her all the amazing fish that she had really never appreciated before. Nyesha believed Baharis domain to be much more wonderful than her own, and wasted no time in telling him. "Yours is absolutely amazing! You're domain, I mean." She gushed.
