Battlefield...RANDOMIZER! >O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial slows...
Finally, it comes to a complete stop.
The field of choice is....THE WATER FIELD!
Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool, four forming a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it was mainly built for water-types. Rules prevent the freezing of the water.

Luna walked up to her trainer platform, putting one hand on the rail and inhaling the air of the battlefield. "YES! It's not that street field!" She cheered. She had the unpleasant experience of landing on that field twice and enduring it's horrid stench. Not a very fun experience.
The minature raichu on her shoulder mimced its trainer and let out a "Chu!" of relief as well.
"Okay ChuChu, get out there!" The trainer punched her arm outwards, letting ChuChu run across it and jump onto a platform of the waterfield. The platform barely shaked because of ChuChu's light weight. Luna waited for her opponent on the opposite side of the field, holding her breath unconsciously. Even though this wasn't an official battle, even though the stadium was empty of onlookers, and even though Luna had been in several battles already, the start of a new one always excited her and sent a rush of adrenaline through her body.

Kira walked out onto the field, grinning when she saw what she was going to fight on. Her grin then proceeded to widen when she saw who she was fighting against. "Heeeeey Luna! How have you been? And a hello to you too, Chuchu!"
She grinned and pulled out her master ball, the one that held a Suicune named Fuyuki. "Fuyuki, c'mon out and say hello!"
The ball glowed and shot out the red beam and soon a Suicune stood, quite literally, on the surface of the water. He cast a glance over at the competition and snorted. "This is a waste of my time...."

Luna smile and chuckled a little as she saw Kira appear. "Hello again!" She said, waving cheerfully. ChuChu even let out a friendly "rai rai!" And the Fuyuki came out.
ChuChu growled at the suicune. "Chu!" She shouted, sparks flying off her cheeks. She had no clue what the big blue fourlegged pokemon was, but it was going to go DOWN! If it underestimated her, it would only regret it.
"Whoa~! That's a suicune, isn't it?" She asked. Luna stared at the blue dog for a minute, thinking over her competition. Well, ChuChu had the type advantage, but that didn't mean anything. And the water was Suicune's home turf. Well, either way, ChuChu looked pretty fired up.

Fuyuki walked cautiously over the water, taking in his surroundings, then his gaze rested on the electric rodent and he growled. "Oh shut up, you annoying pipsqueak..." It was evident that he didn't want to be there. Of course, his words sounded like growls to any human listening... like his completely clueless trainer!
Speaking of clueless trainers, Kira was grinning from ear to ear as she nodded. "Yep, he's my-" She was cut off as the flags went down, signaling the begining of the battle. "FUYUKI, Lets go, Aurora Beam!"
Fuyuki lept quickly into action, charging up and shooting the Aurora Beam at Chuchu before the annoying little thing could have a chance to react; that was the plan at least.

Unfortunately for Kira's plans, ChuChu was trained in doing last minute commands and Luna managed to shout her attack order immediately after the other trainer spoke. "ChuChu! Thunder punch!"
ChuChu's right paw instantly glowed and cackled with electricity and the electric mouse ran straight at the aurora beam. She built up her speed before she came into contact and punched the aurora beam right at the center, scattering fragments of the attack everywhere. ChuChu was pushed back a little after contact, but she stood her ground. Her arm was starting to ache, but she ignored that.
"Com'mon ChuChu! Right through it as always!"
"CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" With a new determined face, ChuChu pushed off the platform with all her might and pierced the aurora beam across the center, continuing towards Fuyuki's face.

"Fuyuki, look out!" Kira bit her lip, unsure if he'd be able to dodge the attack.
Fuyuki reacted faster than Kira had anticipated, but had waited just to make his trainer panic. The last second before Chuchu's punch would have hit him, he lept out of the way.
"Oh thank goodness... Fuyuki, now use Metal Coat!"
Fuyuki, however, had other ideas and he opened his mouth as a Hydro Pump attack came from him. He knew better than to keep too close or to far from the little mouse, making it slightly difficult to judge distance for attacks.

ChuChu managed to land onto another nearby platform when the suicune avoided her attack. She immediately turned her head towards the legendary.
"It's alright ChuChu!" Luna comforted her pokemon. Paralyzing wasn't an easy task to do, but they just had to keep on trying. Persistance always pays off, right? "Another thunder punch!"
"Chu!"
ChuChu ran towards the hydropump, nailing it again with a thunder punch and splattering water all over the place. But what Fuyuki forgot was that water conducts electricity.
"CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
ChuChu lit up with electricity cackling around her. The electricity immediately darted across the hydropump at quite a rapid pace.

(*snugs Moz* Someone's only having slight technical difficulties!)
"FUYUKI, LISTEN TO ME DARN IT!" Kira yelped; she'd wanted to avoid using water attacks for that very same reason; while pure water wasn't a conductor, if it was mixed with something, like salts or oils from the body, it became conductive. Water also did nothing to slow the electric currents and she smacked her forehead as the attack sped through the Hydro pump.
Fuyuki had other ideas, however, and quickly ended his attack, using Protect; the barrier went up just in time to intercept the attack. Without fail, he then turned his head to Kira, waiting for her orders.
Kira sighed and nodded. "Hyper Beam, now"
Fuyuki opened his mouth and the ball glowed in the back of his throat before shooting out at Chuchu.

"Drats!" Luna said, slamming a fist into the rail. The pain only aided in giving her another boost of adrenaline. "M'kay ChuChu! Let's deflect with volt tackle!"
Upon hearing the slightest "v" sound for an attack, ChuChu knew she could waste no time and launched at Fuyuki's attack. White glowed around ChuChu, soon followed by electricity. She launched into the hyperbeam and went through it without pause, her momentum overpowering the force of the hyperbeam. ChuChu's head felt a bit numb as she soared through the attack. Her momentum continued all the way towards Fuyuki.

Kira didn't even bother telling Fuyuki to move, he knew far better than she did. Once again, he waited until seconds before he'd be hit before leaping gracefully out of the way, landing on the middle of the water in the field. Rippled blossomed under his feet as he stood on top of the surface, his mane and ribbons floating magestic behind him.
"Good Fuyuki, Use Ice Beam now."
Fuyuki nodded and opened his mouth, sending the chilly blast strait for Chuchu.

ChuChu panted as she skidded to a halt at another platform.
Luna gritted her teeth. They were in quite a bad situation. "ChuChu! We don't have time, thunder punch!" But they would have to endure the best they could.
"Nyuu!" ChuChu's arm glowed again and she jumped off instantly on her trainer's command at the icebeam. She continued with her usual pattern of attack. She had to break through eventually!
In her mind, a small corner of her mind, she recalled an old song of a TV show she used to watch with her trainer. 'To be a master is my dream~All I've got to do is believe in me!'
