So, someone hacked my account. No items were stolen, but:
1. 1000 gold were stolen from my account.
2. A fake comment was written on the Rich People of Gaia's guild:

Not only this sentence is total bullshit, but I would never write "idea's~". Now people think I'm the one who wrote it! I've written a comment in the same thread explaining the whole situation, I really hope people are going to believe me crying
I've changed my password again for the 5th time this year.

Wow. I've had Gaia send me e-mails that someone's tried to get into my account, but luckily it's a nice strong of random letters. Might want to try that.

The good news is that was all the damage.
I've had a couple e-mails, but that's it. On the other hand I also haven't changed my password in ... probably way too long.
A favorite way of mine to generate passwords is to do multiple translations and transliterations till I come up with something. One of mine is about 13 characters long.
Another possibility is to make an acronym. Then it can be seemingly random, yet easily remembered.

Why would someone go through the trouble of hacking someone for something so minor and stupid? *sigh*
I haven't been hacked ever. My password isn't even a real word. I just hope that never changes. sweatdrop

I've received random letters from Gaia about hackering attempts, but that's the first time someone actually hacked my account... I change my passwords a lot since someone already tried to hack my DA account (the damage of hackering my DA account is much bigger) two years ago.
Don't worry, Els, I don't know who actually did that, it could be anyone from Gaia, even someone who is not from the guild. The people there are really nice, I don't think any of them are related to this incident. I bet it was a n00b.
