Jina slept next to her mate and cubs in their small cave. Since the six cubs came along, the space became a little cramped, but Jina didn't mind. She was finally with a family of her own and she couldn't be happier.
Her red eyes fluttered open as she looked around the cave and saw that everyone was still asleep. She slowly and carefully got up, trying to to wake anyone, and made her way out into the bright sunny day.
She stretched when her body was fully covered in sunlight and let out a large yawn. She shook her body, fluffing out her fur and getting rid of any other thoughts of sleep.

Zoran's ears pricked at the sould of quiet shuffeling. Half asleep, his little head shot up, and sleepy red eyes blinked open to watch his mother's retreating form. Zoran was always a bundle of energy, ready and rearing to go so it was no supprise when the golden cub sprang up, jumping over his siblings, to run after his mother -- almost ripping over his own stubby paws.
"Maaama!" greeted Zoran, as he lept at his mom, trying to catch her around the neck, and n** playfully at her ear.
"Mornin' Mama!"

Jina's head turned when she heard the familiar voice of her first born son. A smile came to her face as he bounded over to her.
"Good morning dear, what are you doing up so early?" She looked over to the horizon to see the sun just a few feet from the ground, and then looked back to their den. The sun was still far from the inhabitants.
"Did I wake you?" She asked apologetically as she sat down in the soft grass and started to groom herself.

Zoran tended to be a deep sleeper, but it wasn't his mother that had awakened him.
"Naaaaah~" Zoran replied, little tail swishing back and fourth. "I just slept a lot yesterday,..since the others were being boooooriiiing." The bright cub flopped over onto his back and pawed at his mother playfully.
Normally Zoran would play, and find all sorts of ways to get into trouble, but every so often he'd sleep the day away, to greet the dawn the next day. His name meant "Light of Dawn," a peaceful time, full of expectations, and serene excitement. And that was Zoran. Well, maybe without the 'serene' part. Zoran liked to play win the newy grass, and hide out in the fog, trying to catch crickets, without anyone coming along and messing up his concentration.
Just as much as he loved to play with others, he loved his own time too.
"What 'bout you, Momma?" He pawed at her again. "Your up early too."

The cubs mother lie down and flicked her tail from side to side in front of her son.
"I like to get up and greet the sun." She said softly as she looked back to the sky. "Your grandfather would take me out in the mornings and teach me everything there was to know about the wildlife."
She looked back down to Zoran, "Maybe I could teach you one day."

"I've never seen you up when I've been up," Zoran said, tilting his head to the side. Then again, he never really stayed in one place to actually watch the sunrise. "I like to see the sunrise too!"
Zoran eyed Jina's flickering tail, and, quick as a cricket, went after it, as she spoke. "Really? That'd be aweeesooooommmmmeeeee!"

She smiled as he attacked her tail and quickly grabbed him by the neck and brought him between her paws to give him a morning bath. Better to get one done early.
She loved the small time she had along with each one of her cubs for them to bond on a personal level. Having six rambunctious children running around all day wore her and Feo out. Quiet times like this were treasured.

As Zoran was grab, he flailed a litte, knowing what was to come. "Awwwwww, moooom. Not a baaaaath. I'm just going to get dirty again," he wined. After all, what cub likes a bath? After a white though, he just sat there, tail twitching. Ooooh, he'd get his momma back. Yeeeeeaaah -- right.

She laughed as she continued to lick his fur, "Then I'll just have to give you another bath." She said.
When she finished cleaning him, she nipped at his tail and tugged lightly before she jumped up and crouched low on her front feet while her rump was high in the air, her tail swaying from side to side.

"Heeeeey~!" Zoran swivveled around to paw at his mother's nose as she tugged on his tail. Then, when she crouched down, he blinked once or twice, before grinning mischieviously, and imitating his mom. Nothing like playtime with mom.
With a little leap, he zoomed towards her leg.

She laughed as her ears lie flat against her head and she let a playfull growl from her thought. She watched her son carefully and as he attacked her leg, she rolled to the side and tried to shake the cub off her. She reached her head down and nipped at his ear.
Even though she was a mother, that didn't stop her from acting like a cub.

Zoran play-fought happily with his mom, laughing and growling alternatingly, truely enjoying himself. After a while of this, he had a hold of his mom's ear, and just lay there, regaining his energy, lightly batting.
"You're so funny, Momma."

Jina lie on her back after their play battle and tried to regain her breath. She was old, she just didn't want to admit it.
"You think I'm funny now? You should watch me try to juggle you brother and sisters around." She laughed lightly. She'd do it all over again. She loved having cubs around, and the more she thought was the better. Sure she'd be happy with one or two, but she wouldn't have as much fun as she does with the litter she had.

"Yep! ..I'll tire 'em out for ya!" Zoran said, ironically still regaining his energy. He was supprised they weren't all out here already. Sleepyheads! Oh how he loved to pester them!

She laughed, "Oh, so it's all your fault!" She said as she licked his nose.
She glanced back to the cave where the rest of their family slept. "Tell you what." She said as she looked back to her son, "Why don't you go wake everyone up, and I'll go get us some breakfast." She said, she didn't want to go hunting too late, risking the change of coming back later in the day.
