so what's a good book that has a variety of levels of Go problems? something that wouldn't be too hard to find online or, preferably, in a bookstore.

I'd sugget you these books:
•Graded go problems for beginners vol 1-2-3 by Kano Yoshinori •501 Opening Problems by Richard Bozulich •Get Strong at the Opening by Richard Bozulich
Than, if you want, there's the "Elementary Go Series" in 6 volumes that is really good as well!
I don't know if you can find them in "normal bookshops", but you can surely find them on amazon.com or on the Kiseido we site!
Hope they'll be useful for you!

I don't have any books, but I found this great site. www.goproblems.com It has 5 thousand + different problems from 30 kyu to 6 dan I believe, plus all types from Life and Death problems to end game problems and all the stuff in between. You can even submit your own Go problems if it isn't currently on the site. I've found it really helpful.
