It was midday when the ferry came to the dock to the mainland. The sun was high in the sky and there was a slight breeze that kept the air a comfortable temperature despite the heat of the day.
Saige stepped off the ferry and onto the dock, taking in a deep breathe of fresh air. "It's good to be back," she said to no one in particular. Taking a hold of the handle to her trunks handle that was set on wheels she started down the dock to work her way into town.
She was on her way back to her and Darsh's house after a long trip to the little mysterious islands that her keeper lives. It had been to long and she couldn't wait to finally be home again.
Walking down a side street she noticed a small little shop that she hadn't noticed before with the most precious of stuffed toys in the window. So stopping in she purchased the stuffed tiger for her adoptive daughter Adelae, as well a studded bracelet that she thought that she might like before heading along her way once more.
Finally, reaching the gate to the walkway to her home she sighed a happy sigh and pushed the gate open closing it behind her before proceeding up the walkway to the front porch.
Heading up the steps she went to the front door and opened it, "Darsh? Adelae? Anyone here? I'm home." She called out as she closed the door behind her and waited for a responce.

Life without Saige around found the great wizard Darsh, just lounging around as of late. Perhaps he shouldn't had said it was okay for her to go if he knew that this were to happen.
Yes, he had his now teen 'daughter', but Adelae didn't seem to want anything to do with learning spells or things of that nature. What was the point of having offspring if they didn't want to be a part of their parent's legacy? But, he wasn't going to force her... too much... if she didn't want to do it.
Unaware of his love's arrival on the mainlaind, Darsh was holed up in his room, a demonic feather-tailed cat curled up beside him. His thoughts often found himself either back at Meta-Rikana or with Saige, especially the day of their battle and when their true feelings burst from them.
It was hearing the door open that his ears perked up. Who could that be? He wondered, not knowing of anyone else who had the key. Sitting up, he stepped out of his room and heard a familiar voice, blinking. Lady Saige?! Quickly, he made his way down the staircase. "M'love?! Is that you?!"

Saige looked up from her luggage when she heard Darsh's voice, a smile beaming across her face at the sight of him finally after all this time. It had taken far longer then she had expected to help out Dark with thing on the islands.
"Aye it's me m'love." She said eyes sparkling, thrilled to finally be home. "I'm sorry I've been gone so long. But I'm back now, promise."

A wide toothy grin appeared on his face upon seeing the familiar face of the woman he deemed as his. Not wasting any time, he easily hurled himself over the banister of the stairs and easily landed on the other set of stairs just below. He went down the remaining steps and quickly made his way over to her.
Once to her, he scooped her up into his arms and spun her around before pressing his lips to hers in a deep kiss. He murred deeply within his throat before slowly pulling away and looking deep into her eyes. "I don't care about how long you have been gone! I'm just happy to have you back M'love, I've missed you so."

Saige squealed happily when he whirled her around. When he kissed her, her heart pounded in her chest and her eyes closed savoring the moment, how she had missed him so. Her arms wrapped around his neck she looked at him and smiled when he had pulled back and looked at her.
"I missed you too," she said with a soft smile and then gave him a tight hug, "I'm back now though and I'm not going anywhere. Home is where the heart is and well home is with you."

He nuzzled the one he chose to be his special mate, giving a deep murr as his tail swished softly. He pulled back some after she had given him a tight hug and gazed deeply and lovingly into her eyes.
"M'love... you will not believe how happy I am to see you and hear that you will not leave my side again." He told her, nodding in agreement at her last comment, "My heart is with you as well, so my home was far from me for some time."
