((Info taken from the Recruiting Thread! ))   Wikipedia The Azure Dragon (traditional Chinese: 青龍; simplified Chinese: 青龙; pinyin: Qīng Lóng) is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is sometimes called the Azure Dragon of the East (traditional Chinese: 東方青龍; simplified Chinese: 东方青龙; pinyin: Dōng Fāng Qīng Lóng), and it represents the east and the spring season. It should not be confused with the mythological yellow dragon that is associated with the Emperor of China. The Chinese constellations were not only used by Chinese cartographers, they were also used by Korean and Japanese cartographers as well. In Japanese, the Azure Dragon is called Seiryū, and it has been depicted in numerous Japanese comic books and animations. In Korean, it is called Cheong-ryong (청룡). In Sino-Vietnamese, it is called Thanh Long (Pronounced by "Tshaeng Long"). 
East House of the Azure Dragon
Opposite of the House of the White Tiger next to the Central pride on the East side lies the House of the Azure Dragon. Following no trend of opposing traits, and instead a trend of complimentary traits, the East house tends to represent wisdom and the element of wood. This pride is open to all who wish to learn or teach, as well as to teach open mindedness.
Physical and mental weakness is not pushed away from this house, seeing as it's lord tends to not be all there at times in both categories.
The house of the east focuses on giving all who enter the pride, especially the young, the opportunity to learn, focusing mainly on the training of philosophers, teachers, historians, informants, and scribes, on top of other occupations that are necessary to the foundation of the pride. The lord of the house is Yi Min (Otherwise known as Yua'Lopoka Mila) and his Lady is Lei Ming (Tui'lian to the outside). The pair focus on understanding and logic as a way to solve problems and are as civil as could be, being open minded and caring.
Currently the pair have six children, none named to be heir yet. |

This thread is being used to find members specifically interested in joining the Eastern-house of the Chinese-Compass pride. We have the lady, lord, and the prospective heirs (unless Yi and Lei decide they want a male heir). So We're mostly looking into Historians, teachers, nannies, philosophers, scribes, and other various ranks. Other education or intellectual ranks may be considered upon being suggestion (I'd have to ask about it, though..)
*Note: Some ranks will require RP. Also, please note that deceptive characters are NOT likely going to make it into positions of power, both for OOC and IC reasons.

Lord - [1/1, Male] - The ruling male of the house, currently Yua'Lopoka Mila. He is in charge of looking after the house alongside his mate. His position alongside the lady of the house, makes him a primary sage and source of knowledge. He's a reflection of his mate, children, and their house, and tends to be peaceful and logical in problem solving as possible.
Lady - [1/1, Female] - The ruling female of the house, currently Tui'lian. She holds the highest rank of the females in the Southern house, and is to be looked to as such. She bears the ruling lord's heirs, but more than that she must also be wise and versed in the ways of knowledge. She is an extension and reflection of her mate and their house. She holds influence and voice in her mate's ear, and most choices are decided together, but in the end if the need arises, the mate ruling by sucession will have the final say. In the case of the heir being female, final choices would be hers.
Heir - [1/1, No Bias] - The selected offspring of the Lord and Lady's litter who will be expected to take on the position of Lord or Lady in their parents place when the time comes. Currently held by Milika'Sakata Mila. In childhood, a suitable mate may be chosen from the rest of the house, or another should both houses agree to it, to act as their mate and co-ruler of the house. This means that their mate may be selected for them, though they may choose to take other mates who would hold lesser positions, such as a mistress or consort.
Dukes and Duchesses - [5/-, No Bias] - The other children of the Lord and Lady's litter. They're still considered members of the head family, but have the freedom to choose to take on normal ranks if they wish. They can be selected for arranged marriages as well, and should anything happen to the heir another of them will be chosen to take the heir's place.
Consort - [0/1, Opposite of Heir] - The chosen mate to the heir of the House, picked from either their own house or the House of another in Tianxia.

Head Guard - [0/1, No Bias] - Is the right-hand of the Lord. Currently OPEN. Reports to the Lord and Lady about everything that is requested of them. Males normally fill this job, though strong females would not be turned away if they could prove themselves.
Guard - [0/5, No Bias] - Generally watch out for the well being of those in the pride and make sure to keep any stray children from wandering too far, as well as pick up any unattended children that wander in, holding onto them for a day or say in case a parent comes to fetch them, before taking them to the Lord and Lady of the pride for them to make a ruling on the child's fate.
Head Adviser - [0/1, No Bias] - The one that acts as the lord and lady's right hand in most diplomatic matters. Currently OPEN. She or he leads the council, and acts as a bridge between them and the leaders, so that the leaders are not constantly overwhelmed by a dozen or so voices seeking their attention all at once. She or he can and will act as one of the ambassadors for the pride when the need arises.
Adviser's Council - [1/4, No Bias] - These creatures are those trusted by both the head adviser and usually the lord and lady of the house as well. They gather with the head adviser, lord, and lady to discuss pride matters or matters concerning them and the other houses. Outside of this they may speak directly with the lord and lady, regarding these matters themselves, but generally their interaction in this department is with the head adviser.
Head Informant - [0/1, No Bias] - The leading messenger above them all within the house. Currently OPEN. They can assign specific house-members/messengers to specific tasks, and are reported to for news. Only the head messenger is entrusted with delivering news and otherwise to the Center-hold of the pride, or directly to the leaders of the other three houses.
Informant - [1/6, No Bias] -When news, requests, or just information needs to be delivered to either the outside or one of the other houses, the messengers are on the job. They are sent out to speak directly with the head messenger of the other houses. Within our own house they also answer to the head messenger, but MAY answer directly to the lord, lady, head guard, or head adviser in an emergency or if urgent news is found.

Historian - [2/2, No Bias] - Historians keep track of everything that goes on within the House, including births, deaths, marriages, etc. They sit in on many of the meetings, taking note on everything that is said. They may be spoken to, in order to check various facts of the pride and are never found without a scribe.
Scribe - [0/3+, No Bias] - There is at least one to a historian who properly notes all happenings in the pride to make sure it can be passed down in an orderly fashion. As well, they care for any noted documentation of pridal happening.
Scholars - [0/3, No Bias] - Those whom seek higher knowledge than just teachers, as well as those who pass down higher knowledge. Often older lions whom can't do much else in the name of the pride but be vessels of wisdom. They can pass on general or specific knowledge on many topics.

Teachers - [0/*, No Bias] - Those who teach our young. They don't just know things, they know how to share it with those who wish to learn in a way that they can understand. When the lord/lady have children, there may be a 'special' position opened up to tutor their young.
Apprentice - [0/*, No Bias] - These are in small to medium number, learning from one who currently holds the rank they wish to attain. They learn from teachers and historians, or even the guard, how to handle this position. Often this rank is attained at the age of Juvenile
Head Nanny - [0/1, Usually Female] - The Head Nanny is in charge of all the nannies and reports to the Lady or Lord (often Lady. I'd imagine mommy is in charge of babies..) of the house directly. She may or may not be in charge of the Lord and Lady's children, unless they pick to have someone else specifically watch their young.
Nanny - [0/3+, Usually Female] - Nannies are normally used for the working class of the House to help take care of the cubs and teach them well. They are led by a head Nanny. They are well versed in story telling and crafting, helping the children gain general knowledge of the world, and sometimes double up as a teacher as well.
