 Alyna sighed. It was another day...another day of exactly the same as the day before. True, the landscape changed on occasion, but the life of a wanderer was much different than she had thought it would be. Perhaps this wasn't the best decision, to leave home and travel the world. Even though Alyna was glad that she had met so many new Soquili, most of the time she was alone. That was why she was headed back home, so she could be with her family again. She wondered if she might have one more adventure before she got back. After all, anything could happen!

Ah, what was this? Glitter saw a flash of color against the bland scape of the land and watched it for a few moments. A mare, from the looks, and an interesting looking one at that. Glitter picked her way carefully across the rocks she had been perched on as she'd surveyed the area. Many of the smaller stones were knocked free and tumbled down the short hill to the grassy bottom, but Glitter kept her footing just fine. She reached the bottom and started making her way to intercept the other mare, angling her approach to meet the other in the front.
"Greetings, Traveler!" She called out, giving the spotted mare a friendly smile. "Are you all alone out here? A bit of a shame to travel alone, don't you think? Not to mention dangerous." She stopped when she was near enough to hold a comfortable conversation with the mare, but stayed off to the side of her path in case the spotted mare was in no mood to talk. Glitter would rather avoid the confrontation it might cause to get in someone's path.

A lovely sort of voice fell on Alyna's ears, prickling at her curiosity. Turning, she saw a very colorful mare, more colorful than any Soquili she had met thus far. She seemed friendly enough to approach, given her warm smile and heartfelt greeting. Besides, she thought this could turn out to be the adventure that she had wished for.
"Greetings to you as well!" Alyna responded, smiling back at the mare. "I'm afraid I am alone, as my familiar left for home quite some time ago." Grinning mischievously, she said, "Perhaps it is dangerous. I have had little trouble as of yet, but I like to think that it is well worth the danger to seek the knowledge of the world. I may change my tune, however, if I ran into a more threatening foe than bumblebees and thorns." Glancing around, she noted the general quietness of the area. Other than her and this new mare, Alyna couldn't see a soul. "What about you? Are you alone?" If it were dangerous for her to travel alone, surely the same would apply to this mare. If so, it may be beneficial to both of them if they traveled together. After all she had been hearing howls at night recently.

Glitter chuckled heartily. "Yes, bumblebees and thorns are quite the adversaries!" She shook her colorful hair out, letting the wind catch the locks and send them dancing in the air. "I am here alone, yes. I too am an adventurer and agree that the danger is worth the experience. Though... I also am seeking the danger that I might better understand it. My purpose is to protect others from these dangers. To better understand my enemy is my goal, though coming across friendly faces is always a welcome thing." She flashed the mare a friendly smile. "My name is Glitter Rock. What's yours?"

"Oh, really? And what sort of danger are you looking for?" Alyna asked, curiously. True, she knew of the typical dangers, Kalona, Skinwalkers, wild coyotes, etc, but she had never gone looking for them! "My name is Alyna. It's a pleasure to meet you, Glitter." She said cordially. What an interesting mare Glitter was. To go looking for something that most others would run away from...Alyna couldn't understand it, although she thought it most honorable.

"Any and all kinds of dangers. The worse the creature, the better for me. Though, it's not always the most prudent thing to be going it alone," she chuckled. "My mother's herd has a dedicated purpose in protecting the two leggers, so I want to be prepared to help by understanding the potential enemies." She smiled, proud of her mother's cause. "And you? Why do you travel?"

Alyna's eyes widened. "Such an honorable reason to travel...I wish I had such noble intentions." She chuckled, shaking her curly mane out of her eyes. "I travel because I have it in my blood. A touch of the wanderlust that prompts me to leave my home and explore the world. Nowhere near as glorious as protecting my herd." She laughed softly, smiling at the pink-colored mare.

Glitter laughed amiably. "The desire to travel is just as good a reason to do so as any other," she said kindly. "For the moment, I'd be happy to travel with you. We seem to be going in the same direction." She smiled and shook out her colorful mane. "Are you seeking out family?" Glitter smiled at the thought of family. She missed hers, and hoped to see them again soon. "I can't wait to return to mine."
