The sky held onto the crimson light of the sun a few moments more, the lingering light casting a glow upon the colorful mare that stood witness. The soft trickle of the stream behind her was comforting as the full moon settled into the sky. The pale light illuminated the small clearing that was surrounded by thick woods on all sides. The stream cut through it, disappearing into the trees on either end. Glitter Rock turned towards the moving water and bent her head to drink, savoring the cool, clean taste of fresh water. As the world settled into the quiet of evening, so too did this energetic mare seem to sink into a state of calm.
She was alone, but she didn't mind. This spot was calming and secluded enough that she had no fear of any unsavory characters finding her. She rose from the stream and stretched her muscles. It'd been a long and eventful day and she was happy to relax for a while. One by one fireflies began to light up and Glitter giggled, chasing the fleeting lights and trying to catch them before they disappeared back into darkness.
