"THE PAST"

is the portion of time that has already occurred; it is the opposite of the future. It is also contrasted with the present. It is also regarded as the conglomerate of events that happened in a certain point in time, within the Space-time continuum. The aforementioned conception is closely related to Albert Einstein's relativity theory.

Humans have recorded the past since ancient times, and to some extent, one of the defining characteristics of human beings is that they are able to record the past, recall it, remember it and confront it with the current state of affairs, thus enabling them to plan accordingly for the future, and to theorise about it as well.

Laille -"Hey Rinn, need to ask you a favour."
Rinn- "What is it this time??"
Laille - " I got this thing from my mom, i think it leads to some world of some sort.."
Rinn- " Okay.. what do you want me to do??"
Laille- "I need to know more about the plant life there!"
Rinn - "No way, Cant you do it yourself or ask your sister??"
Laille- " I would but I'm kinda busy figuring out the rest of the stuff my mom randomly sent and she is kinda occupied with it too! PLEASE?"
Rinn- "For how long?"
Laille- "Say about a week! I give you more details later!"
Rinn - "Alright you owe me big this time!!!"
Laille- "Thanks!!! I know I can always rely on you, meet me at my house at 10!"
Rinn- "Right! See you then!"

A gentle breeze drew pass and my arms stretched out to catch it. I had arrived at Spiraglade through Laille's weird jelly-like portal, fresh air was blowing against my oilly face leaving me refreshed. The lush green grass in Spiraglade was the purest I had ever seen and the longest at that. I attempted to step forward from where I landed but retracted my actions seeing I was standing on a cliff in the middle of nowhere? I looked beyond the grassy cliff. There lay the most beautiful morning sun I had ever seen. A shetch of plain land lay like a carpet leading towards the horizon with snowy caped mountains on either side. The view was not only unique but breath taking as well. Not far from there, I had spoted a bubbly, melodious river rushing down the other side of the cliff. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me striaght to that shiny river to get a drink of refreshing water. Next to it grew a majestic, beautiful, greeny forest that just left me amazed! I've always been a plant person all my life, a fasination for them had given me a career as a botanist. My second observation was that there did not seem to be wild life around.

As I was relaxing next to the noisy river, I heard a voice call out to me, it did not seem like any voice that I've ever heard. It came from the mysterious forest. Forgetting about my main mission in Spiraglade, I dashed towards the voice longing for advantage and a chance of new discovery, my insides tingling with excitement! In the middle of a glade in the forest, I spotted WATER FLOATING IN MID AIR!!!! I blacked out. When I woke up the water was still floating there. Curousity got a hold on me and I went near it to investigate. A soft glow came off the liquid and faded. I scooped it up with my somewhat small hands hoping that it would not spill. When I finally manged to pick it up, the liquid denied the law of gravity, literally floating on the palm of my hand. I tried to touch the liquid but couldnt seem to do so because it would evade my fingers. For emploration purposes, kept it to show Laille. I did not have a container so i had to carry it by hand.

"Friends are interestly found in the weirdest places! "

[08/05/08]
It's been awhile since I arrived at Spiraglade. Its raining now so I figured why not write down what's been happening. I had been traveling around Spiraglade, but I have not discovered any new species of plant! This is truely quite disappointing, I expected more from this place. Well, it's raining now. I'm currently looking at the purple two floppy ears laying next to me so comfortably. The owner of those soft ears just peered out from below the blankets! It's pretty cute!

Yummy tummy full of cookies
Makes me feel funny
*Yawn yawn*
Sleepy time

"Puu?"

Its looking at me now questionably. I think its trying to figure out what I'm thinking. Rubbing its head hard, Cubbs as I have come to know it as seem to giggle joyfully, this was esspecially true when i tickle its warm tummy. That liquid I found had been a burden to carry but had transformed into an animal, just yesterday. The liquid had lifted off my hands swirling in mid-air before emitting a blinding light and then vanishing; in its place lay Cubbs.

----~----

The angry wind is howling and blowing hard but our tent seems immune to it and is still standing its ground. Its refusing to budge and continues to protect us from the heavy rain.

The rain stopped awhile ago. Cubbs has helped me to pack my stuff by dragging them over to me. He fell over himself again. Our destination was where I had landed in Spiraglade. Today we were going home! While we were traveling in the forest, we came across an usual tree. It was small, yet looked like a huge berry unside down. Cubbs' little nose wiggled as it searched for any threats surrounding the unique tree.

*sneeze//sneeze*

Cubbs appeared to be bewildered It just couldnt stop and I giggled. That fluffy ball of fur looked at me with its big pleading eyes, begging me to stop it from sneezing. Laughing, I approached the plant to examine it.

"Ei...ei...eichuu!"

My eyes widen. I turned back and faced the now giggling Cubbs. A minute of silence and we burst out laughing. We had encounted a one of a kind tree.

"What an ei..ei....chu treeee!"
"Puu...chuuu."

That sneeze sent him flying towards a big thick oak tree. With quick reflexes, my instincts caused me to jump between Cubbs and the tree, catching him in time before he banged into that giant tree.

"Are you okay??"

My concern for that little thing caused it to lick my face as a sign of its health. Cubbs' huge eyes twinkled and I smiled back brightly. Putting him down gently, I started to talk some notes on the interesting tree we had found.

NAME OF TREE: The Sneezer The Eichu
SPECIES OF TREE: Sneezing Tree
HEIGHT: 10cm
DETAILS: It releases its pores from a top hole in the center of the plant to irritate the noses of its predators to keep it from harm. Their pores are however not used as seeds. The tree itself has only 1 fruit located inside of the tree, containing 2 seeds. Its oorespores although irritate our noses produce a relaxing smell that is somewhat pleasing to the rest of the senses. It maybe used to create high quality perfume.

That day, I made a new discovery and I was happy about it. Me and Cubbs had arrived at our destination, the land there was as green as ever since the day I had arrived. It wasn't long before a big big jelly-like portal opened bringing us back to Laille's dusty old place. I explained to Laille about everything that had happened and passed her the notes on the plant. She didnt seem so surprised about Cubbs though and I was allowed to keep him. Of course I couldnt bring him to our world so I decided to pay him little visits here and there. Anyway, life is back to normal now. By defination of normal I mean "plantastic"!

What an advanture.

Bae'ala looked around at the vibrant colors, smells, and just feel of the world around her. The young pup wasn't sure if it was because she was in the Glades and everything was just more alive here or because it was the first time her surrogate mother - Luanolu - had allowed her to frolic around without a leash or Luanolu following after every step. The kitten-sized Glacier yipped happily, more like a pup than a cat, spotting a large pile of pink and yellow Tulips that were just begging to be jumped and rolled around in. With a quick glance at Luanolu to make sure it was alright she took off running down the mild incline, goldenrod wings flapping on her back to add to her speed. Reaching the speed she wanted Bae'ala jumped, ears fanning out as she caught a breeze before she fell into the mess of flowers, rolling around in them and getting her lilac coat all dirty. It just felt so much better that way, why Luanolu always insisted on bathing her before bed the Glacier would never understand.

Spotting a huge orange butterfly Bae'ala lowered herself until her belly was dragging along the ground, the tulips tickling her and making her want to sneeze. She wiggled her nose and refused to give in to the urge and scare the butterfly off. The winged insect landed on a white tulip causing the flower to sway lightly before settling still once more. Bae'ala crept as slowly as she could towards the bug, keeping low to the ground. Finally she was so close to the bug that she could see that its black body was spotted with white much as her own purple one was with goldenrod in some places. Shaking her tail she shifted her hind legs to gain more balance before springing out from the undergrowth (if you could call a flowerbed that) and launched herself at the butterfly intent on catching it in her mouth. Unfortunately, the bug proved to be too fast for the pup and flew away before Bae'ala could catch it.

However the pup was not discouraged in the slightest. Oh no, just as the butterfly got away she spotted another insect, this one was black stripped with a soft brown-gold much like Luanolu's eyes, and it was fuzzy and made a buzzing sound. Resuming her stalking position, Bae'ala crept closer to the second bug, intent on catching this one since the first had gotten away. It would be her consolation prize and maybe Luanolu would scratch her behind her right ear just right when Bae'ala showed her what a wonderful hunter she was. She sprang once more and closed her mouth, not over air, but over the bug! She managed to have a second of triumph before an acute pain caused her to open her mouth. The bug had stung her! She whimpered, tears springing to her eyes as she ran back to Luanolu, crying and sending her mother images of the bug and the feelings of pain it caused her.

"Oh my silly little Bae'ala." Luanolu crooned, though not understanding the words spoken Bae'ala recognized the tone as comforting and her own name. Images of warmth and love were sent through the pair's special link and it calmed Bae'ala enough to allow Luanolu to open her mouth, but when she touched the bump in Bae'ala's cheek the pup cried out and spit her mother's finger out. "Its a bee string, little one, nothing more." Luanolu sent the images of the bee along with a feeling of minor danger through their link, using this as a learning lesson for Bae'ala. Reaching into her cup, Luanolu retrieved a bit of ice and held it out to Bae'ala sending her the images of sucking on the ice and feelings of the stringing hurting less and the swelling going down.

Bae'ala took the ice in her mouth and let it rest on the sore spot, feeling a little better. The pup still whimpered a bit, more from hurt feelings than anything else. "Come here little one." Luanolu scooped Bae'ala into her arms and placed a kiss on her forehead, making the hurt go away instantly. Bae'ala felt bad for some of the other Glaciers because no matter how good their mothers were none of them could bestow the legendary healing kisses that Luanolu did.

( Hey i don't have one of these things so ill call myself Autumn the Glader XD )
( Roll 1 rolled: 9;Past )

Autumn ( Me ) sat on the edge of the rising ocean. Her eyes sparkled as the smell of salt flooded the air. Memories scanned threw her head real or not. The tide wisped at her paws but she did not move. Yells were heard in her ears and wimpering. As the tide got its way Autumn fell to the beach and she was snapped out of it. She woke up in a ball dwenched in tears under a beautiful palm tree.
Autumn shivered as she shook away the thoughts. Though it was strange. She had no idea were she was. She had never been here.... But in the knick of time in front of her were small paw prints. She smelt the sweet and tangy smell of salt water and gasped. Her heavy body followed the small foot steps until she stepped in a larger foot print. Remembering her parents drowning in the ocean she sobbed letting the tears make the foot print into a swimming pool.
Her paremt's screams ,her frightened whines , and the swarming of the clouds. She touched the sar necklace on her neck with her muddy paw and told herself to let it go. Pain struck her but she would live and in her heart her parents never died.

One Careless Day

Iniex yawned as she strode through the glad towards the mountains. She was having a very carefree day. The sun was high in the sky and the grasses seem to dance in joy with the wind. The glad was full of beautiful wild flowers and the bees buzzed from one to the other it was all in all a wonderful day to be outside. Reaching the edge of the trees Iniex lay down and began to daydream. Wondrous birds flew overhead singing happy little tunes as small mammals scampered around under the tall trees. All of a sudden an almost mewing sound filled her ears. Iniex jumped slightly at the sound it had come from close by. She stood and looked around her finding nothing out of the ordinary but the strange sound continued. Iniex thought for a moment it sounded like whatever it was, was distressed. Feeling compelled to figure out what was going on she followed the sound. It led her deeper and deeper into the woods until she came across a river. In the center of the river sat a stone and on the stone sat a very wet pup Gladier. “Ohh you poor little thing. Here let me help you.” Iniex jumped into the water without even thinking. She was at the rock soon picking up the small creature and holding it to her chest. She stumbled and tripped her way back to the grass. Sitting the creature down she laughed and pulled off her jacket and sat it in the sun. “Now how did you wind up in the river?” Iniex asked stroking the small creatures head. Soon pictures appeared in her head of the little on climbing up a tree and then falling in the river and flowing downstream until she hit the rock. “You silly little thing that was very careless of you, you should learn to be more careful.” Iniex scolded the little animal. “Well nothing better to do now then take you home with me and dry you off. First you need a name… how about Lathal?” Iniex asked as she retrieved her jacket and picked her back up. Lathal nodded in excitement she had given her trust to Iniex immediately for saving her. They would become the best of friends of that they were both sure.

[entry 01- Legend]

Legend of Frea

Frea wandered into the glade. "Where am I?" The trees had changed and even the world around her was different. "Hmm." She gently touched the chocolate colored tree next to her and giggles when she runs her hand over the moss. At the base of the tree she sees something shine. Not sure what it is, she digs it out of the moss. "Oh a Green and purple crystal!" She exclaims. She marvels at it for a bit and then walks toward the stream. She had seen it earlier, but was too stunned to wonder about it. Now she had a reason to see it. She kneeled down and put the crystal near the water.

All of a sudden she heard a rustling sound. She ignored it at first and placed the crystal in the water. It was warm and felt wonderful on her skin. She watched the grime disappear from the crystal and smiled. It was beautiful beyond words. Sparkling under the water with an unearthly shine.
It was then she felt something brush against her. She looked down and noted the strange creature. She smiled and pulled the crystal out of the water. "Hello!" She said to the little Fluffy dog like creature.

The creature rubbed up against her and then walked for a bit and waited.
Frea stood and smiled. "You want me to follow you huh. Alright." She smiled and walked after the creature.

The creature stopped in a glade and it was full of sick and dying creatures. She gasped and ran to the first one and cradled it's head. "You poor thing." She kissed it's forehead and checked it. "You are sick." She announced to it. She looked at the crystal. It glowed. She concentrated and the glow increased. She heard the one who had brought her Chirp. She thought on healing the one in front of her, and then she felt it wriggle in her grasp. She did't know when she had closed her eyes, but she opened them now. The one in her lap jumped up and made chirping noises. Frea laughed.
The one who had led her there was chirping happily and moving on to the next sick one.

It took her some time and a lot of her energy, but all of them were finally well. She was tired and fell asleep under one of the trees. She awoke some time later and all of the creatures were gone. "It figures." She laughs and gets up. The crystal was still in her hand. She walked out of the glade and started back toward the stream. She enjoyed the tinkling sounds in the air. She closed her eyes and heard a chirp next to her.

Her eyes flew open and looked down at the creature rubbing her leg. "Oh it's you!" She felt it was thanking her and wanted to be friends. "Ok." She smiled and walked to the stream with her new friend in tow.

Among the others it was spread that a mass plague had felled them and a strange woman from beyond had healed everyone. She was a Legend among them forever.

[Entry o1 - DISGUISE]

He had never noticed how brightly the stars seemed to shine overhead while he was in the Glade. They twinkled overhead with an almost unnatural brilliance, the rainbow nebulae and planets that floated in the ether with them looking toy-like and fanciful. The Glade's night sky reminded him of a child's mobile with playfully enlarged heavenly bodies and colors unseen in the inky black abyss of space in the world outside of Laille's orb. Then again, the Gladiers themselves might as well have been toys, delicate and charming with downy-soft fur, large bright eyes and dispositions that could make the hardest heart melt. He imagined a Gladier sitting next to a toy rabbit and was amused at how similar they were.

I ...not... toy, Pirripi informed him primly from where she was sitting in his lap, sensing the gist of his thoughts and answering with disgruntled images of her own. Lei jumped, though by now he was used to the Gladiers' way of communicating with their human handlers. The touch of her mind to his had become as natural as speaking aloud. But she had been quiet for so long that he hadn't expected it.

"Of course not," Lei soothed her, stroking the orange fur lining her long ears. Pirripi purred softly and unfolded and folded her star-tipped wings. Lei wondered when she would fly. She had barely reached maturity. And while minutes ticked by in the Glade, time had slowed to a crawl outside of the orb.

Pirripi was amused with him, her great orange eyes sparkling up at him so adorably that Lei was reminded of how she'd been as a child. He'd only just baited her and he was totally disoriented, having spent only a short while in the Glade. She had made sounds that he recognized as laughter, tumbling around, making him turn in circles as she teased him relentlessly. The sun had been so bright and his surroundings so fantastic that Lei hadn't grasped what had happened at first.

Lei had spent longer and longer in the Spiraglades with Pirripi, teaching her human language slowly, playing with her until she tired out, and pulling her tail when she tried to sit on his face.

"What happened to that little pup?" he asked fondly.

Realized... Lei... stupid. Pirripi was so amused that Lei cracked a smile. It was marvelous. He could spend hours here with Pirripi and barely any time would pass in his other life. The thought startled him, that he referred to his life beyond Laille's orb as his "other life". Wasn't that his "real life" and this place just a fantasy?

Pirripi coughed derisively and fluttered her wings, flicking her ears back. She was a little offended that Lei was thinking that perhaps she wasn't real.

But of course she was. She was better than any dog or cat or toy. Lei flattered her shamelessly with his thoughts and laughed when Piri started to preen.

"Sometimes I think that this cute and fluffy exterior is just a disguise," Lei taunted her, turning her over and tickling her belly even as she pawed his hand away. "I think I've befriended an egoist."

"Other life" is disguise... this real, Pirripi retorted, and Lei smiled. As usual, Pirripi was right.

[Entry o1-Legend]

((From the view point of Rune, and it doesn't really describe the spiraglades, but more of how it came to be.))

A cool spring breeze blows softly through my fur as I look at the sun, peeking shyly over the horizon in the early hours of the morning. The sight of the bright orange light brought unknown memories of how the spiraglades were formed to mind. It all began a long, long time ago, a time when magic was the source of life. I close my eyes and let the story wash through my mind.

Long ago, in a castle in the clouds, a fairy king reigned wisely with his court. They brought peace to the land, and everything was at ease. One day, the king brought his magic sphere, the source of happiness for everyone, to a banquet with the lord who owned nearly as much land as the king himself. The lord politely greeted the king, all the while secretly plotting to gain the sphere for himself.
When the king and his court was seated at the feasting table, the lord toasted the king and they all drank deeply from their goblets and soon fell asleep except for two living beings, the lord and the king’s beloved pet, the first gladier.

The lord did not notice the gladier and took the sphere. He then transported the sphere to a secret location that nobody knew of other than himself, but the effort killed him in the process. When the king came to and saw that the lord was dead and his sphere was missing, he needed no explaining to understand what happened. He ordered his guards to search all over the realm for the sphere, but none ever returned, as the unexplored parts of the kingdom were full of dark creatures with a passion to kill. Without the sphere, the kingdom soon began to fall into ruin as the fairies began to live shorter lives filled with less and less happiness.

At this point I stopped the short film going through my head and took a good look at my surroundings. It was difficult to believe that this peaceful land was once thrown into despair and havoc. I shook the thought out of my head and continued to review the story.

The king was getting weaker and older, so he told his gladier to go seek for the sphere. The gladier nodded as if it understood exactly what to do. It then transported itself to a secluded and dark region of the kingdom, and spent many weeks searching through the woods. By the time the gladier found the sphere, the kingdom was disappearing into a memory, nothing more than semi-transparent buildings and crumbling walls. The king, with his dying breath, blessed the gladier, and the kingdom in the clouds vanished completely. The gladier fell towards the deep sea, clutching the sphere tightly. A mysterious mist covered the sea, and the gladier plummeted towards it's death.

Suddenly, the mist cleared and a small island appeared out of nowhere, and the gladier broke its fall by landing on a soft mound of earth. As the gladier looked around the clearing, nothing other than the trees and flowers were there, but the sphere glowed brightly, and another gladier stepped out of thin air. The sphere then floated up into the sky, never to be seen again. The two gladiers introduced themselves and the first generation of the gladiers was started, living their lives out contentedly on the island.

I open my eyes as the sun continued ascending in the sky. I look up at the fading stars and think about the legend again. This is the land I belong to, although I came from another one a long time ago. The stars are the ones before me, using the magic sphere to guide me through my life without conflict. I feel warm inside and I lie down for a short nap on the springy grass before someone come to wake me up again.

[entry 01 ; roll 1], [entry 01 ; PAST] p485

I was going to the movie theater, today. It was swelteringly hot and I thought the AC would do wonders for me. I walked out of my house and headed along the cobblestone path to the theater. I didn't have enough money for even a matinee at the big cinemas in the heart of Barton Town, so I was headed for the dollar show in 2128 Barton, which was right in the neighborhood.

In the past, I remembered going to the movie theater with my parents, older brother, younger sister, many of my uncles, aunts, and cousins, and more often that not, some friends of the family. I came from a tightly knit family and my family was the sort that liked to make a whole day out of just going to see some movie. I put it lightly, but really, I did enjoy the whole thing! I remembered seeing The Lion King and choking up when Mufasa died. I remembered Dragonheart too and being very amused when later on in life, I learned that Sean Connery did the voice acting, though, at the time, I just felt really sorry for the dragon. I also remembered seeing Space Jam and my family were the only people in the theater. I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread! I remembered the greasy, buttery popcorn, saccharine sweet fountain drinks, and candy that came in a rainbow of flavors too!

I wonder when the change, from me being moved at the theaters to me just seeing them as a place to cool off, occurred? Maybe I just got disillusioned. That's all movies are, in the end, after all - illusions. A bunch of pictures moving by so quickly that your eyes think they're in motion, hence the name - motion pictures.

While I was walking to the dollar show, I figured I'd drop by some local shop and get some candy, so that I wouldn't have to deal with that overpriced junk food at the theater. I noticed some mom and pop shop - it must've been new, because I've never seen it before. I walked up to it and stuck my face in the glass. It looked promising. I could make out some rock candy, pulled taffy, and - oh, ho, ho, I'm leaving the best for last! - the most awesome looking jawbreakers I've ever laid eyes on. They must've been gourmet or something, because some of the colors of these were really out of this world. I started salivating, but fortunately, I didn't drool out of my mouth.

After that, I backed away from the window and turned the door knob. While I did so, I noticed a funny, hand-written - mom and pop, indeed! - sign on the door. It read, "adventure inside." "That sure is weird," I wondered out loud as I swung the door open.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I entered the shop. Its name look painted and there was that handwritten note... None of these were out of the ordinary, but the shop's name, "Star*Chasers" combined with the odd message on that note really got me wondering.

A woman's cheerful voice broke my train of thought. "Welcome!" I stopped a few stops into the shop and looked up at her. I shaped her up. She had blue hair - there's nothing wrong with that. My hair's pink, after all. - and I noticed a nametag on her chest that said, "Miriamele." That's an interesting sounding name. I wonder why she's here. Does she work here? Is she on commission or something? I thought to myself.

I put one hand behind my head and tried to be sociable. "Hello! I just saw something that interested me in the back, that's all..."

"Oh! That!" She gestured towards the doorway. "Go right ahead. It's there where you will find adventure!"

There's that mention of adventure again! That aside, I was surprised at how welcoming this Miriamele seemed. I decided to take up her offer - that was why I came here, anyway, right? - and headed into the back room. I heard her mumble something as I entered, but I couldn't quite make it out. "Something more," I think. But "more" what? I shrugged it off and kept on going.

When I got into the back room, I was amazed at all of the things I saw! There were a lot of things I couldn't see from the window outside and even what I could see looked a lot more brilliant up close. There was one thing that caught my eye. It was a purple jawbreaker with an intricate orange design on it. The second I laid my eyes on it, I closed my eyes, clasped my hands, and gleamed. "Grape and orange," I said amidst drool. I had to wipe a bit off of a cheeks with my gloves, but overall, I think I stayed pretty clean. I stood on tip-toes - darn my shortness! - and carefully took the jawbreaker off of the shelf. It had a wrapper on it, but it came off easily enough. I was planning to buy it, anyway, so I figured eating some of it, now, wouldn't matter much in the grand scheme of things.

I cupped the orb in my hands and ogled at it. I kept a the rest of its wrapper on the bottom, so that my sweaty hands wouldn't make it sticky. That gave me more time to think of how I'd go about taking the first taste. Test how true it was to its name by sticking the whole thing in my mouth? Bite it and see how much of it I could get off? Lick it bit by bit? In the end, I decided to go with the last one. That way, I could wrap it back up without it looking too messed up.

Having made my decision, I closed my eyes, stuck out my tongue, and brought it to my mouth slowly, so as to savor the flavor. When I could feel that it was in distance of my mouth, I licked it. Afterwards I licked my chops and smacked my lips, so that I could get all of the notes of its flavor. To be honest, I was suprised at how one-note it was. It just tasted sweet. I had one heck of a sweet tooth, so I figured I'd buy it anyway.

But when I went to turn around and exit the back room, I wasn't able to! I couldn't move! When I opened my eyes, I saw red and blue stars surrounding me. This had happened before. Or at least, I had thought it happened before. I was going to faint. Iwasgoingtofaint. Iwasgoingtofaint...

When I came to, I was lying in the middle of a place that I knew, for certain, was not that back room. My back was against something soft, not the wood floors I remembered in that room. I swiveled my head from left to right and saw tall blades of green grass. The colors of them looked really saturated - like something off of one of those colored television shows, before they had colored TV and the colors were all weird, like, the people were orange and the skies were green and funky things like that - and they smelled pleasantly of mint. When I got the feeling back in my legs, I tried to sit up. I reached for my left knee with my left arm, did the same with my right - Hey! Where'd that jawbreaker go? Did I drop it? - and pulled my legs up to my chest. Then, I swung up to my feet. Ta da! I'm sitting up!

From my seat, I looked around and apparently, I was in a green field with many tall trees that provided shade from the bright sun. I wasn't in the shade, though. I was sitting down squat in the middle of a field with the sun beating on me. I noticed the trees and sun had the same funky thing going on color-wise as the grass. The leaves of the trees were deep green, like spearmint, and glistening, and the bark was chocolate brown and knotted. The sun seemed like a lemon drop that had ascended to a higher plane of existance. The more I looked around and observed my surroundings, the more I felt like a marzipan topper on top of an exquisitely decorated chocolate cake with green piped grass and chocolate tree sculptures or an extra in an old Sanrio movie a la Unico than a person in the middle of a field.

Then, I felt something brush against my calf. Instinctively, I kicked my legs, thinking it was an ant or spider or something like that. I was suprised to hear some whimpering on the other end. I jumped to my feet, looked down, and saw some creature sprawled out, with its legs taut, as if it were about to pounce. It wasn't snarling or hissing, but its ears were held low to the ground, its eyes were narrowed, and its jaws were held tightly around some object.

Now, as an animal lover, this hurt me. I had two rabbits, a cat and some rats, and a panda at home. I wasn't the sort of person who kicked puppies for and Schnitzelbank and giggles. I felt the need to make things right. I lied down on my stomach, kicked my legs in the air, put my hands at the side of my head, and tried to get to eye-to-eye level with the little critter. Think nice and peaceful thoughts, I thought to myself. Don't make any sudden moves, I thought again. Even after I lied there and just looked at it for a couple of minutes, it still looked pretty grumpy. I figured I'd offer it my hand. That seemed to work with my cat. It took a sniff and afterwards, it sat up on its haunches. It did little to change its expression, though. Still, I was grateful it was out of its aggressive stance.

After that, my eyes were instantly drawn to what was in its mouth - it was yellow and star shaped. It looked like compeito! I love compeito! I figured we had some common ground here. I like compeito. It likes compeito. We're all good. I tried to strike up some sort on inter-special communication. "Hey, you, that there," I said as I pointed to what was in its mouth, "That thing in your mouth. That star. It looks like compeito. Where'd you get it?"

It seemed to be genuinely interested in what I just said, because it raised its head, its ears perked up, and its eyes lit up. I think it might've been wagging its tail too, but the grass drained out all of the noise and the motion of its tail could've been because of the wind.

Now, I'm thinking it must've been dyslexic and I had such an overactive imagination - I'm writing this, after all - I was able to translate whatever it was trying to say into pictures and words, because the only other option was that either or both of us was psychic and that's just silly! Anyway, I saw something about the field we were in right now. It's called Glade? This is the Spiraglades? Okay. Then, there was this long path. First, it was straight, then it kind of winded after it got into this desert area, and after that, the path wound up this mountain. Somewhere on this mountain, there was a cave. This cave is where that compeito in its mouth came from. And the mountains were called Mountains? That's easy to remember. To be honest, this whole thing looked like an art film directed by Steven Spielberg.

"Could you lead me there?"

It shook its head.

"Why not?"

After that, I got some Steven Spielberg-vision of me as, like, a yuki-onna in some snowy mountain. I wasn't dressed for the weather. Got it! I couldn't argue with it there. I was originally headed to the movie theater to cool off, after all. Of course, I wouldn't be dressed for snow!

"Maybe later?"

It nodded. Then, it turned around and ran in the other direction. It stopped under the shade of a tree. The way the shadows on its fur danced around in the shade made it look very pretty. It's, like, it's violet fur went from purple to blue, then to purple again. A few seconds later, it looked over its shoulder at me. Did it want me to follow it?

I finally decided to run after it. I had no reason not to, after all. I didn't know where I was and it was pretty much acting as my guide, so far.

When I caught up to it, it started running again. All of this running was really wearing me out! My back and head were covered in sweat and my dress straps were starting to slip off. I was winded when we finally stopped. I doubled over, held my knees, and started gasping for air. I saw sand on the ground. Was this the desert in that last vision? I dug the ball of my shoe into it. It couldn't be. It felt too moist. When I caught my breath, I looked up and saw white sands leading up to a blue ocean.

I was so excited, I wasn't sure how to react! I pulled my shoes and socks off and tossed them on the ground. Then, I walked on the beach barefoot and started kicking my feet around in the water. The coolness of the water felt so refreshing against my legs. Further down, I saw that critter pawing at the waves. Its eyes were closed and its mouth was wide open. It looked really happy!

I bent down and looked at the ocean. The ocean was deep blue and I could see iridescent seashells, round stones, and star shaped rocks underneath its surface. The water reminded me of blue raspberry jello. I bit at it and it didn't taste like jello at all! It was salty! I stuck my tongue out and wiped my mouth off on my glove. After that, I stood up, shaded my eyes with my hand, and looked up at the sky. It seemed to reflect the water. Or maybe the water was reflecting it? Whichever it was, it sure was pretty!

That creature ran towards me and tugged at the bottom of my dress. I looked down at it and it wagged its tail. I had to admit, once it got rid of that grumpy look on its face, it was awfully cute! Hm, apparently, this was called the Starsea. That's a fitting name.

After that, I started to feel really, really strange. My surroundings looked like they were swirling around me. I felt like I was strapped to The Merry-Go-Round from the Underworld, spinning and spinning! I must've fainted or something, because when I came to, I was on my back against a wood floor and two girls were right in my face. I recognized the one as Miriamele, the girl who welcomed me earlier, but the darker looking girl next to her was a mystery.

I could tell Miriamele was trying to accentuate the positive when she was talking to me, and to be honest, she actually did have a pretty good bedside manner. "Hello, ma'am, you appear to have fainted." She then gestured to the other girl. "This is my sister, Laille. I'm going to try to put this to you simply. You have the ability to use magic and I think you got sucked into the orb and spit out again."

She lost me after "magic." After hearing that, I figured I'd just pick up the jawbreaker, buy it, and be out of here. I sat up and said, "Excuse me, I hope this isn't a bad time, but would be possible for me to buy this?" I pointed to the purple and orange orb on the floor near me.

"Oh, that! You can keep it!"

It was free? Maybe it was to keep me from sueing for damages suffered from fainting in the back room. I didn't care what the reason was, I was just glad that I got what I wanted. I stuck it in my pocket, stood up, and walked out of the store. I heard a bell ring when I left. I didn't remember hearing one when I entered. I was probably so caught up in what I was doing, I didn't hear it.

I skipped along the sidewalk, heading nowhere in particular. A refreshing breeze blew by, ruffling my dress. Despite the strange things that had happened, I felt really satisfied.

I remembered that this morning, I was planning to go to the movie theater. It was blisteringly hot and I thought the AC would do me good. I had walked out of my house and headed towards the neighborhood dollar show and I thought this place, Star*Chasers, was a candy store, so I went into it. I don't know what happened in there and I have no idea how I ended up in the Spiraglades, but I did know that my experience there moved me more than I had been since I was a little girl watching movies with my family. I wouldn't mind going there again.

I don't know if something had managed to break through my outer shell of disillusionment, but I suddenly had the urge to watch some movie and stuff myself with junk food! I ran off into the horizon. I knew it was too early in the day, but I imagined myself heading off into the sunset, just like the end of those movies.

Dear Brain Audience

Sigh.. Yes, sigh. I'm homesick; you know that?
I've been here in the Spiraglades for a little under three months now; and I miss my family and friends.
Okay, so maybe my mom is really naggy, and my little sister is a brat... And my friend Dorian annoying beyond all reason; but I still really miss them.

For the past month I've been coping with this my looking through the pictures taken with my digi-cam, but now the batteries are dead and I can't find the extras. Sob.

Dorian probably swiped them from my bag; he has a bad habit of doing that.. Stupid Dorian.

But then you'd think I'd learn.. Lia saids I'm naive; like she has any right to judge me.. I'm older than her. Grumbles.

Ahh!! I want to look at pictures. Sniffle. Wait.. OHMIEFFINGOD!!!

Now, I'm sure you're wondering, dear brain audience, if I've finally lost it. But oh no, quite the contrary; I believe I've just found it.

"And...... YES!! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes~!"

I found the extras!! I put them in a different pouch so Dor couldn't steal them (hehe, oops).

Ready brain audience. Now it's time for the victory dance!

As I broke it down, got jiggy with it, and all around stopped the yard, I didn't notice Lia wake up and stare at me with a look of bewilderment, fear, and possibly shame.

What.... Are you doing?

The words instantly snapped me out of my victory dance; not to mention threw of the delicate balance that was my groove.

Mouth open, "...." mouth close. Open again; close again. No words. What could I say that would keep both my dignity and the assurance of my sanity intact? Probably nothing.. Best to change the subject.

"Hey Lia, did I ever show you pictures of my family?"

Oh, she looks surprised; how odd.

No, what's a picture?

That explains it.

One second.. Battery one... Battery two... Battery two!

.... Grrrr!

"Got it~! Lookies~ This is my mom."

She looks upset..

"She just hates pictures. Oh~! That's my sister."

She's pretty~

"But not as pretty has me, right?"

....

What?! Nothing, jeez.

"This is...." Crap "Next picture." Dammit, who took that awful picture of me?!

Hmm...? Why can't I see that one?

"You just can't. Here's my best, and sorta only friend, Dorian."

He looks very affectionate..

"Huh? Oh, yeah, he's pretty clingy."

....

Wha... What!?! Lia! Oh, uh oh, my face.. It's getting hot, jeez, how embarrassing.. That never happened.

Hehe, you like him~~.

"I do not, we're friends you idiot!! We don't have.. Those kind of feelings."

Please, please dear brain audience forget that. Dorian and I are just friends, we never have, and never will k...ki.. See? I can't even say it!

It was all Libra, she's bad, and evil! She lives to make look like a fool!!!

Ahahahahahahahahahaha~~~!

"Stop laughing you jerk!!!"

Hehe, the more angry you get the more I know it's true~!

"GO BACK TO BED!!"

Brain audience, I'm afraid I must rest to recuperate from this traumatic event.. Good night.

hehe

"Go to sleep Lia!"

[entry 01 ; DREAM]
My rolls are on page 474.

"I'm going to die!" cried a girl, who was currently throwing herself against a tree in a strange yet magnificent forest.

Perhaps this girl was not too far off the mark or perhaps she was just being an overactive drama queen, either way something extraordinary was going on.

For you see, this unfortunate girl merely wanted to explore the town she had recently moved to. She had been walking down a side street and that was when she saw it. The strange shop with the uh... interesting sign. She had felt drawn to this shop. This was not the kind of shop she would have normally visited, but she decided to take a chance. 'A little adventure can't be bad' she had thought at the time.

The young woman that the unfortunate girl met seemed nice enough. With that bright smile and even brighter disposition, it was easy enough to trust her. "Come to the back" the woman smiled "I have something I think you'll like". Curiosity piqued, the girl followed. She met another younger woman, who was kind of out there. She hadn't really spoken except to tell the unfortunate girl to touch the orb she had held out.

"And then there was light and now I'm here!" screamed the girl at the top of her lungs.

"She drugged me, I know she did!" the girl cried while frantically analyzing her surroundings. "This must be a drug induced dream, that's the only logical explanation" she said, starting to sound a little freaked out.

"Right now those witches are probably getting ready to hang me or, or shoot me, or cut my heart out!" she began crying sliding down the tree. "Maybe I'll be a sacrifice in some weird ritual" she sobbed into her hands.

That's when she heard it. The bushes to her right rustled a bit. "W-W-Wh-What was t-that?" she whimpered looking at the strange bushes.
The bushes were a dark green and looked kind of like large balls of fluff. The girl tentatively reached out to touch them wondering if they felt as soft as they looked, but right before she managed to get her hand on the bush, something bright purple and orange shot out of it. The girl jumped back, slamming her head into the tree behind her, and screamed bloody murder.

The THING, whatever it was, ran in the opposite direction of the screaming girl and disappeared into some more bushes.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch" whimpered the girl while rubbing the back of her head. "That, that hurt!" her eyes widened to almost saucer size "That actually hurt! So this isn't a dream?"

"What's going on then? There is no way this is really happening!" the girl began to breathe faster. "Am I dead already? Is this what happens to dead people? Is this heaven? You can feel pain in heaven?" she began asking herself questions faster and faster until she couldn't breathe. The girl stumbled slightly, before catching herself and sitting on the ground. She closed her eyes and waited for the dizziness to pass.

"Whatever this is, it is. I'm here and I have to accept that. Hyperventilating isn't going to help me." she whispered to herself and took a few deep breathes.

After clearing her mind a little she decided that whatever that purple thing was, it was alive and maybe it could help her and for some reason for a moment when the thing jumped out, she felt... warm?

"I don't think it wanted to hurt me. I think it wanted to help me." she mumbled to herself. She didn't know why she felt that way, but she decided to go with it. "It was my urge for adventure that got me into this mess, it should get me out" she said to herself, hoping she sounded brave.

She stood up and began walking in the direction the little thing had run off in. There was a light breeze and it rustled the trees in a way that sounded so peaceful. The girl looked all around her, at the tall old trees that made her think of kind old grandfathers silently watching over their grandchild. She saw some more fuzzy bushes and smiled when she noticed the way the wind was blowing them almost made them look like they were shivering. She reached down to pet one, amusing herself with the thought that she was comforting the bush, and she was pleased to note that they really were soft.

She let her gaze travel upwards as she began walking again and noticed that the sky was such a clear beautiful blue, but the sun didn't burn her eyes and it wasn't hot, in fact, with the breeze the temperature was just right.

"Maybe I was right, maybe this is a dream" she whispered to herself spinning in place before continuing to walk. "I don't know what's going on or if I'll get out of here or if I'll find what what I'm looking for, but right now, everything is perfect, just perfect."

And so, the not so unfortunate girl continued on to her unknown, but not unwelcome future. There will be many mishaps and mistakes made along the way, but I'm sure if I work hard enough, everything will be okay and who knows, maybe I'll make some new friends along the way.

Signed, Artemis.

[[ Rolls pg 473-474. Entry 01; Dream.

This style of writing is not necessarily how I'd RP.

Apologies for the length, language, and questionable literary value. ]]

I open my eyes, and vile rays of sunlight hit the retina, making me wince. My head pounds. I attempt to open my eyes again - the sun is still there. One last try, and, finally, I can face the daylight.

I'm lying down - on some grass. I groan. I can't get anywhere if I'm lying down, so I'll have to get up. I roll over onto my stomach, place my hands at my sides, and then push at the ground. I do a 10-second push-up that would make the gym teachers of my life proud and then thump back to the ground when I remember that physical activity is my mortal enemy. Take two - I push with my arms and clamber onto my feet at the same time. After another brief tussle with the ground, I come out victorious, standing on top of it. That wasn't so bad. I could get used to this sort of thing, I think.

I'm standing in some kind of clearing, surrounded by forest. I take time to notice the grass I was lying in - it's a vibrant, unearthly green, like something out of a painting. Am I high or something? That's what it feels like, because I can see everything clear as day. In truth, I've never been high, but seeing the pulsating blue sky and the lushness of everything around me makes me think I am. That, and I'm in a ******** forest. I don't remember being here before. I change my hypothesis to "I woke up with amnesia, maybe I've been here all my life." Hmm... that's even more improbable. But if I have amnesia, won't it just seem that way...?

Lost in thought, I wander towards some of the trees. There's nothing for me to do here, so I'm thinking I can act out Little Red Riding Hood and bring some cookies to my dear old grandmother. Except I don't have any cookies, or a red riding hood, so I can't really do that faithfully. Which is a shame, because it seems like it'd be fun to get eaten by a wolf. Uhhh... maybe it wouldn't, another part of me says, repulsed by the very idea. I don't think you know what you're talking about, I answer back. No, seriously, being eaten by anything is probably extremely painful. You don't want to be eaten. Jesus, why am I so insistent? Look, you shouldn't even be talking. You landed us smack dab in the middle of some ******** forest. A FOREST. Jesus christ we all know I can't survive regularly, never mind in a FOREST. I never even got to go camping...

My thoughts wander...

In the trees there is a flash of bright purple and orange. I stare at it and decide that it's a hallucinatory demon. At least, I call it that, because being a hallucination would explain why I'm seeing it, right? In truth, it looks like some canine/feline cross, with a big head and long ears, and, hell, wings. And it has stars - honest to god stars, not like the cold distant orbs of plasma seen in the night sky, but like the kind a little kid would draw. "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph," I exclaim, in an exaggerated, drawn out tone. I usually don't talk out loud, and having said it, I feel awkward, but all the creature does is stare at me with eyes brimming with cuteness and twitch its ears (a rather long, tedious process, or so I see it, considering how much mass those ears seem to take up - they must be half as long as its body!). "Evolutionary-wise, you're a dead man," I tell it. The only way it can survive here with bright fur like that is if it's poisonous or if there are no predators. Or if it is a predator. <******** me, I hope not. Just look at its eyes... I know that if I looked in a dictionary for the meaning of "cute," I would find a picture of this thing. Maybe that's how it, you know. Catches its prey. They're so busy thinking it's harmless, and then it gobbles them all up and then, well, I'm sure its insides are cute, too...

I shake my head and curl up the fingers in my right hand until they look like a mock gun. Thumb pointed upwards, index finger pointing at the creature, the three others curled into a half-fist. "Bam bam," I tell the creature, failing completely to imitate the sound of a real gun. The creature remains utterly unimpressed. "Well," I say. And then my mind fills with images, pristine in their clarity:

A girl with blue hair, sitting in a glade not unlike the one I was in; this accompanied with a vague feeling of curiosity,

Another of the creatures lying in the shade of a tree, and another, and another, all in various poses, colored different colors,

The repeating image of a pond of endless depth, the light of stars found deep within it,

There is a moment when all the images have stopped, and I am staring upwards, and cannot see a thing. I'm disconcerted - I feel as though I've been invaded. Those thoughts were not mine; I rarely think in pictures, rather, my mind is structured in words. I feel a lingering familarity with the girl, and a connection to the creatures, but I cannot tell if these are my own feelings or... or not my own. I blink a few times, and look around; the orange-purple demon has disappeared. I feel disappointed - I have been granted these visions, and then left to my lonesome. I do not think I can do as Jeanne d'Arc did and go on a quest to save France, or whatever.

And then I see another image - the creature is on the ground, looking back up at me, its head cocked as if to say, "Well, are you coming?" And for a long moment I can't tell if this was another one of those invading visions in my mind, or my brain simply telling me what my eyes just saw. Whatever the case, the creature is gone again. I plunge into the forest, going by instinct; every few feet I see it again, or think I do, and after a while of this, I find myself standing at the edge of a ring of trees.

It is absolutely silent. I had not noticed the sound before - the sound of birds, and insects, and the wind, perhaps - but now I hear its absence. The sound of stars. Beyond the trees is a circle of sunlight, and the dark pond from the visions. The creature is sitting within the sunlight, and I can feel it being pleased. It looks exactly like a cat does when it thinks it's being smart. I hesitate and am thrown an image of me kneeling by the edge of the pond, looking in. It is odd to see myself outside myself - from the view of the creature, I suppose. I blink, and then step towards the pond, and kneel, because that seems like the right thing to do. It's odd, but although the sun shines strongly here, the pond itself appears unaffected. I glance in...

The pond's water is dark, to the point of being almost black. How odd. I search more, search for something I might have lost long ago, but I can't find it there, not in the pond. And now I begin to grow concerned, something is wrong, something... I can see tiny pinpricks of light in the inky water. Those are stars. I want to look away, to get away, but I'm frozen, staring into space. And then something pushes me, and I scream, but there is no sound - not here. I fall.

* * *

I open my eyes, and the harsh glow of a green LED light illuminates my face. My room is dark. I stare into the light, waiting for it to morph into numbers so that I may know the time. 3:24... Ugh. My head pounds. A dream... it felt important. It meant something, but I can no longer recall it. And then I realize I'm holding something. I start when I see it, because suddenly I can remember everything. I'm holding water. Elemental water.

Gladiers.

Starchasers.

[[ So this entry... [shudders] Haven't written anything in a while. Shouldn't write anything at night, but there it is. I will write more stories and get better, promise. ]]

[entry 01; roll 2] [entry 01: Rain] Page 260

The first small cold splash across her cheek brought the world to her attention. Jade green eyes opened to find unfamiliar territory, even with summer back home the grass has never been this green, or this lush. The gentle wind tugged playfully at her short tresses of black hair, and for the first time Lin really saw where she was.

“Not home that’s for certain…” she muttered to no one as she got to her feet.

The confused young woman looked upwards to see a canopy of deep green leaves over head sheltering her. It was the smell that hit her first, the rich scent of wet wood, and as she became more aware of her surroundings she could hear the pitter patter of rain. Looking outwards one couldn’t really tell, for this was not the hard harsh rain of a storm, but the light drizzle of sun soaked rain. Not trusting her senses Lin took a few steps forward to stick her hand out from underneath the tree’s protection. Sure enough pleasantly cool droplets splattered along her hand. How odd she noted that they would feel refreshing against her skin. Though she supposed no more stranger than the fact she was in the middle of nowhere, with no idea what she was doing before. Lin was pretty sure she was in a store before this…

Not one for standing around, she ventured out from under the branches to take a look at this new world for herself, “Hello?”

Not a sound, except for the rain that showered down cooling her skin, and the river that ran through the earth. A river? She whirled around getting a full view of everything, the tree that she had found herself under; its aging trunk was thick and full of healthy green moss that clung to the bark. Lin whirled around again to see the river bubbling down its earth worn path. This all seemed surreal, if it were not for the rain hitting her in constant steam, she would have questioned how real all of this really was, but she could not deny it. The smell of moist soil, the feel of her rain soaked hair dripping trickles down her cheeks, and the sound of soft splashing as the rain hit the water making the river swell.

Lin took one step, and then another, feeling the dirt mold and squish under her bare feet. This was real, she knew it had to be, what other explanation was there? Her curious mind produced more questions than she could answer. Where was she? Why was she here… How was this even possible? She found herself making her way to the river bank as if hoping that this would provide the answer to her questions. If it was an answer she was looking for, it was not what she had expected. A rustling in the grass made her aware that she wasn’t alone.

Lin froze where she was, muscles tense as she tried to decide if whatever it was, was dangerous or not, “Is someone there? If you are, please come out!”

Like lightening a yellow and purple blur rushed pass her, brushing against her leg. She saw for a brief moment stars, feathers… fur… wings? There was no time to think about it, she was caught off balance and the slippery ground made it worse. Before she knew it, there was only air beneath her as the ground gave way as she fell towards the floor.

Her skull made a painful yet dull thud sound against the hardwood floor. Lin blinked up at the ceiling seeing the harsh lights of the shop instead of the soft muted gray sky. For a moment she was confused, had she hallucinated? She would have liked to believe so, except her clothes clinging to her skin had the uncomfortable feeling of being soaked. Water dripped down from her hair gathering into small puddles on the floor. Uncertainly she lifted her head to look at her mud coated feet. Lin, let her head hit the floor again, as she tried to figure out what had happened.

In truth, she had no clue; her only answer was the strange object she found herself holding. Lin could remember now, she came to this shop for what she did not recall now, only that she was picking something up when it happened. No matter what she was told by the shop owner that day, only one think remained in her mind. That untouched world where gentle rain falls.
