The little colt trotted through the summer time grasses, young but confident upon his hooves. His little white tipped tail swished happily behind him as he looked over the horizon, his little heart on a mission. This was his first adventure away from the protection of his family, and though he knew they weren't far, the young colt was on a mission.

Playmates.

Though his time was very new, the young colt already had a heart for adventure. There were places to go, soquili to meet, and foes to battle! There were damsels in distress to rescue, treasure to be discovered, and sunsets to run in to. The little spiral furred colt was prepared for the most adventurous of days and he fully intended on making some great discovieres. Perhaps he could find some beautiful treasures for his sister and mother? Or perhaps he could kiss a frog and turn it in to a Prince . . no . . wait. . . that didn't sound very fun. He was already a prince, or so he liked to believe, it wouldn't make much sense for him rescuing other princes.

Damsals in distress were often found in towers and held captive by evil beasts and kalona. Hadrian wasn't sure he wanted to meet such a dark thing, but he'd surely keep his eyes peeled! He wasn't afraid of bullies, oh no! Now, if he were a damsel in distress, wherever might he be? Caught in the mud pools? No. . . . damsels didn't like to get dirty, or so he imagined. And he didn't know where bullies lived, so really, the little unicorn colt was stuck guessing. His little blue hooves carried him lightly over the open plains, pausing now and then to survey his surroundings. . . . .

Birds sang, soft white clouds rolled overhead, and sunshine warmed the earth around him. Overall, there was very little out of place and out of the ordinary. The day looked to be beautiful but the little blue unicorn found himself very much alone. There were no soquili near, none that he could discern at least, and certainly nothing that was in need of a good rescue. Finding ways to be a hero surely weren't easy. A shame the stories made it sound like an everyday occurrence! Still, Hadrian understood he was young yet and he had many more days ahead to figure out the art of becoming a prince. . . Maybe it would become easier the older he became....The little unicorn could only hope.

Giving his unruly blue mane a shake, the colt heaved a sigh and continued on his way. His slow meander turned in to a proud trot as he flipped back his hair and practiced showing off some. He didn't have anyone to impress outside of his brother or sister but it was worth keeping good posture. . . . just in case. Maybe the birds that sang in nearby trees could admire him, for even at his young age he knew himself to be beautiful. Princes were supposed to be.

Amongst the meadow grasses on that warm summer's day stood a small and lithe little filly, silver fur etched with the faintest of violet markings. Her hair which flowed like black silk along the breeze highly contrasted her otherwise light hues, two streaks of blue from her father and pink from her mother broke the otherwise pure raven locks. Swishing her lion's tail to and fro in the utmost of concentration, she bit her lip and nibbled absently as her bright blue irises locked upon the scribbles on a patch of dirt.

Cocking her head to the side as the petals of her beautiful pink flower tickled her ears, she dipped her head to scribble a few more things in the dirt with her small horn before looking back to admire her handy work. It had taken some time and travel to find all the pieces, but in a treasure with such epic proportions like this the wait had been half of the fun! Searching high and low for the next clues, listening in on elders and travelers alike she'd done what no one seemed to be able to even fathom was possible!

Miki had found the entire legendary script to summon none other than the Lord of Nightmares! The stories her tiny but curious ears had picked up were so diverse in their tale that she wasn't able to comprehend if this creature was benevolent or not...and that displeased the filly greatly. Other than dirt there was one thing that she couldn't stand in the whole wide world; stories that were inconsistant and false!

What greater story to uncover than that of a Lord of Nightmares!? Already her small heart beat furiously against her chest as her memory absorbed ever word to memory; she'd find out once and for all what was real and what was false about this Lord and be a true storymaster like her momma! Yet....what if it was true and he was benevolent? Would she survive long enough to even tell the tale?

"Well thats just silly! Obviously he must be nice if Soquili still talk about him..." She mused, grinning ear to hear as her posture erected and she stood quite regally and proudly. Oh wouldn't her mom be proud of her for uncovering what could be the most great and fantastic story in the history of...well history! Yet still, a small nagging in her mind came to wonder why he was called the Lord of Nightmares and the words of the incantation were far from summoning rainbows and sunshine...

No matter! Why, she'd do it right now to show them all who was the bravest Princess in the lands!

Clearing her throat as she look a quick gander at the lazy fluffy clouds rolling across the rich blue sky; the little filly closed her eyes and lifted her head to the heavens. She may not have had the angelic voice of her sister; but it was certianly heavenly and light in her own right.

"Darkness beyond blackest pitch, deeper than the deepest night. King of Darkness who shines like gold upon the Sea of Chaos; I call upon thee, swear myself to thee....Let the fools who stand..." Miki's eyes snapped open at the near arctic winds which had swept through the once warm clearing, the clouds once pure and white a moment ago had succumbed to a pitch black as the sun's inviting rays slowly were consumed by darkness. Even in the clearing the grass whipped around roughly, bringing up stray dirt and dust in the chaotic wake. Her body gave a terrified shake as the winds tore across her flesh; with a horrified scream she immediately stopped the incantation and fell to the ground in an attempt to hide her bright body amongst the green grass to no avail.

Fortunately though...once the spell had been ceased the clouds took on their ivory hue faster than she could shake her tail at; all had settled into a typical summer day as if what had happened...never had. Timidly opening her eyes as her body continued to shake from the events, she was curious if it had been her imagination or if someone else had happened to witness what she did. How couldn't someone? It wasn't everyday that a freak short storm could happen in mid day....in this one specific spot.

"That....power..." She breathed, barely, as slowly she perked her ears up and peered around the clearing....almost expecting to see the Lord of Nightmares walk up at any moment!

Hadrian stared, his eyes as wide as plates after the world finished its fit. The little colt had no idea what just happened, but whatever glitched, terrified him. Never in his wildest dreams had he witnessed something so off-kilter to the norm, never had he seen the sky throw such a temper tantrum and so suddenly~! The clouds had transformed from white puffy fluffballs in to ominous and ebony doom; a wind had picked up and sent shivers down his spine, practically blowing him off of his hooves! Something evil was near. . . something dark and full of foreboding and chaos. . . .

But before Hadrian had a chance to shake off his fear and react, everything went normal.

Finding himself a bit cowed, the colt stamped his foot in embarrassment and a rare moments frustration. "ARGH~!" He groaned, ears pinning as he dug his blue hoof deep in to the soil. How was he going to be some prince and knight if all he did was stand wide eyed and slack jawed!? Princes weren't supposed to be afraid and yet that random storm had caused him to shiver in fear.

No.

He just plum couldn't let that happen! Not again. He couldn't be a coward or else he'd grow up and become one. Where was his strength? He certainly boasted enough about it, so why had that scared him so? How was he going to slay the evil beasts and rescue fair maidens and damsels if he let a freak storm ruffle his hypothetical feathers!? No . . . he had to be braver. At least there was no-one. . .

Wait.

But there was!

Thankfully the flash of silver and pink was still a far bit away. But whoever and whatever it was didn't seem too concerned with his gaping. Maybe it (as he trotted closer he saw it was a girl! A damsel!) hadn't seen his cowardance. Puffing out his chest, ears thrown forward in concern, he wasted no time assessing the situation with the little, ruffle-haired lady.

And oooh - a unicorn at that! A very pretty one too - she DEFINITELY had to be a princess! "Oh! Oh are you all right!? You didn't get blown away or hurt by that storm, didja!?" He trotted around her, investigating her as he did every damsel in distress he came across. Nostrils flaring, he looked around, glaring at any nearby shadows as if they might prove the source of the freak storm.

He wouldn't let anything throw him in to such a shaken up state again! Nope, nope, nope!

"EEEEEEEKKKK!!!"

The poor filly screamed, nearly doubling over herself as she flung herself to stand at the voice; nearly hitting him as he circled her. Wide sky orbs stared intently as she took in his appearance instantly...he looked normal and no sign of evil in the slightest. Exhaling the large breath she'd been holding in, her own small ears folded against her head as with a quick toss of her head to allow her soft mane to fall back into a more proper and maintained mannor. Standing tall and shaking herself off of the dust and debris which had gathered on her silvery and pink pelt, it wasn't untill she looked appropriate that she allowed her eyes to finally settle on the colt.

Drawing her chin down a bit she batted her eyes in a tad bit of a sheepish mannor. "Sorry noble sir...I thought well.....you were something else." The all mighty and ominous Lord of Nightmares.

Miki was impressed with the first impression; something her father held with such high importance. He held himself in the same regal and proper mannor as she, not slouching and ill concidered as the commoners. The way he looked at the shadows in such a dismay as if it was crawling with the likes of evil caused a light and airy giggle to rouse from her lips. Flicking her tail side to side, she was about to speak up when she remembered his original questions that she'd well; responded to in a scream.

"I'm alright...a little dirty but its nothing a bath cannot cleanse." She admitted; as much as she loathed to be filthy as her parents were quite stern about cleanliness...dirt washed off and once more she would be fresh and clean. Should...she tell him? Correct his unintentional mistake of thinking that was some freak storm?

Looking a bit diliberate in her thoughts, she decided that if he was gentlemanly enough to come to see if she was well that she at least allow him to hear of the Lord of Nightmares.

"I must correct you though...that wasn't just a storm..." Slowly casting her eyes to her slightly trampled scribbles, her eyes lowered half lidded. "There's legend of a god who walks the land, hidden amongst the mortals. Stories told that he is the father of all, creating all of the Soquili..Kalona, Skinwalkers, Regulars, Unicorns and so forth. Some say he's not benevolent; but other say he is, but what is known is that he supposedly comes from the Sea of Chaos where all life was created; where all the powers of the world are from. The powers to transform from the Skinwalker, our powers to heal....everything comes from him."

Miki paused, trying to read Hadrian's face for understanding or even fear. She couldn't blame him if he felt frightened, heck she'd stopped the summon for fear of what exactly would show up when she finished.

"Ive spent a long time trying to find out more about the legend, its the ultimate story but its so incomplete and unrealiable. I....there is a way to summon him; an incantation. I was doing just that when everything turned chaotic and I...I stopped. I know the entire thing but...I guess im just not ready after seeing the power that was around here just speaking half of it...."

Suddenly, she blinked and reeled in horror; immediately looking distressed before marching up to the poor colt swiftly. "Ah! I appologise! I've been so rude! I forgot to even introduce myself....I'm Miki, Daughter of Baldev and Jaslyn!" Her parents would be mortified! Introductions...so important!

Hadrian had given a little jump at the filly's start, but his concern only multiplied for her safety and health. The blue stained boy glanced down at himself, hope he wasn't the cause for her surprise; he wasn't covered in filth or mud and he certainly wasn't intimidating~! Even when he wanted to be! His tail flicked back and forth in agitation nonetheless, before looking back towards the princess.

Relief surged through him as she apologized, proving that he hadn't been the one to scare her. That was good - Hadrian wanted to be a noble steed not some feral beast. That was not how his parents raised him, thank you very much; he wanted to be liked and looked as a hero NOT the villain. The villain's were the ones he wanted to grow up and slay~!

Still, his heart soared at the term noble. . . . . He was, wasn't he? The noblest of them all. . . . . or so he hoped. Giving his own little curled mane a shook, the young colt captured her silver gaze. "You look fine and lovely to me!" He added as assurance, little noticing any dirt or mud stained against her hooves. She was a pretty princess, truly she was - she even acted like one! This had to be his most lucky day - first he'd met a little white and very confused angle, than he met that lady mare by the sea, and now he met a true princess~!

And had almost come face to face with evil. . . .

Hadrian's eyes went a bit wide in surprise as Miki began to explain the freak event. So . . . so she had caused the storm? Not storm - the event? She had been trying to summon a . . . . a Lord of Nightmares~!? No. Waaaaay! Though she explained that this legend wasn't necessarily evil or bad, the title certainly didn't allow Hadrian to believe he was made of sunshine and rainbows. Nightmares weren't ever fun to have, so he couldn't imagine this chaos soquili being any better! And yet . . . the concept was intriguing and he had witnessed the freak storm!

It was unnatural . . . . and such things only happened in fairy tales, didn't it?

. . . . maybe so, until today.

Though the hair stood up on the back of his neck at the memory of that storm, part of Hadrian found himself fascinated. This was the start of a great adventure and the out come wasn't made up! This was a real adventure and something they could experience, something tangible that was real and not just made up and imaginary! Ooooh - already there was a great princess and a great power and . . . . and . . . . and . . . . Well, mother and father wouldn't approve, so he'd have to leave it out. Or just pretend HE was just pretending if they asked. But though he'd never heard of this Nightmare Lord, if what she said was true, there was a chance that she could hold the key to something truly fantastic and frightening all at the same time.

It was like a dream come true.

"Wow. . . . " Shaking his head, the little stallion pawed at the ground some before flicking his tail and standing as tall as he could. "That's amazing but . . uh. . . . You just be careful! Incantations like that might not bring what you expect, lady. You shouldn't summon things without having a knight on your side, you know. . . or at least a prince." He gave a little smile and wagged his blue tail tip a bit. "But you know . . . . if you ever wanna try again, you could do it with me around and I'd make sure to protect you! You know, just in case the Nightmare Lord is a little grouchy." Sometimes his siblings could be grouchy, especially after first rising. He couldn't imagine what it might feel like to be summoned. . . .

Upon her greeting, Hadrian offered her as stately a bow as he could manage. Dipping his horn to the ground, he couldn't keep the smile from his features. "I was the rude one," he assured hastily, not wanting her to feel any such guilt. "I rushed over here without even telling you who I am~! It's nice to meet you, Miki! I'm Hadrian, son of Darius and T'Cora, Prince of the Sea!" Or so he liked to believe. He had to tell everyone of his (imaginary) royalty. . . . Just so they knew.

He was going to a prince and a knight someday - the world would be astounded.

Oh my, and a charmer too!

Miki's cheeks turned a softer pink as she bashfully looked to the side momentarily; awaiting for the colt to let all of the information sink in. He was certianly a most handsome boy with his regal blue pelt and features. Heck be known he even had swirls like her too! Yet what topped the proverbial cake was that he was a unicorn and her parents stressed that unicorns were but the best species out there, even if it was a bit biased. Wouldn't they be so pleased if she came home with her first friend being everything they wanted?

Everything she wanted in a Prince? One that was tangible and real and well...Prefect.

Still too young to experience what she's come to learn as 'adult' emotions, she knew very well what they were and what it entailed. Besides, all of the stories she'd ever heard and loved starred the beautiful Princess and handsome Prince as adults. Thats when romance happened and those feelings became known; yet since being so wise about these feelings...she definately could see something evolving like that in her little heart. Even if it was just delightful wishing that perhaps she would grow to fall in love just like all of the other princesses in the stories did!

Her gaze faltered for but a moment; he was correct that she was ill prepared to discover what lay beyond the incantation...what it summoned. Yet her sisters would not understand; off with their own friends and the like dancing and singing...not even her parents would allow her to be active in such a dangerous adventure. In reality, how could she be prepared when she had nothing to work with? Miki had made no friends, consumed in her longing and addiction to stories and finding them. It was a pretty depressing thought now that she thought about it; most foals her age were off playing make believe with the other foals...and here she was traveling and her only company being the wonderful inactments in her imagination.

Yet...what was this?

Her heart gave a paunful flutter of butterflies as she found it hard not to break out in the most excited and lovely of smiles. Was he actually suggesting that he wished to accompany her on this adventure? That he wanted to stick around even after hearing about the Lord of Nightmaresp when other foals would flee for more innocent and simple activities? "R....Really..!!" Miki stuttered out, her tail accelerating from a slow wag to a much more vivacious rhythm. Oh! She felt like such a damsel being so flustered like this over a boy, but how could she possibly help it? In a matter of a few minutes she'd gone from nearly meeting the Lord of Nightmares, and the next she was suddenly gaining a friend who was no less of a Prince! He even had the qualities of a knight, how absolutely sweet that he would even go out to protect her!

So dumbfounded by the turn of events, she barely caught his name as he bowed so perfectly to the ground. Wait....he was a Prince of the Sea?? Oh goodness! If she could fan herself she would have done so now; but instead she couldn't help the little squeak of such joyful excitement that she had bounded the few steps to his side and nuzzled her cheek against his jawline and neck. Oh he even smelled like the waters her parents had only told her about! "Oh Hadrian I am so happy!" She exclaimed excitedly before stopping once more dead in her tracks as a deep crimson blush caught like wildfire across her cheeks.

Shuffling back to an appropriate distance the little filly quickly bowed regally, folding one of her front legs close to her chest as she lowered to a curtsy. "Hadrian I am honoured to meet such noble soul like you...I would love nothing more than to have such a brave Prince to accompany me." Standing upright her own smile lit up her features, eyes glittering in joy as the soft breeze gently swayed her dark locks.

"I've never been to the sea though..." She admitted as an afterthought; but stories of it she'd heard in abundance of its beauty!

Hadrian felt his nose turn pink as the little filly pranced forward to nuzzle his cheek. She truly seemed delighted by his words, and her own happiness seemed to highlight his own; it pleased him that his vow to assist her upon her quest made her so joyous but such was the way of things. Princesses like her were supposed to be happy~! That was why all the stories had happy endings - all the big bad kalona's were destroyed and happily ever afters could begin!

So the fact that he, even at such a small age, could make this princess beam like she had. . . well. . . Hadrian couldn't help but puff out his chest a bit more with pride. Blue eyes danced with delight and his little blue tipped tail swished back and forth in pleasure. This was just the sort of response a Prince strove for! Now. . . how to keep her so happy?

Why being her champion, that's how! He had vowed to be with her when she did summon this Lord of Nightmares, and he wasn't going to fail her. He would slay all evil that came their way and make sure that she was safe! It was the princely thing to do, after all. . . .

As Miki stepped back and away, he felt his own delight swell as she not only referred to him as noble (which he was, thankyouverymuch) but she also took him up on his earlier offer! "Well then, m'lady," he tried to use the words he remembered the knights in the great stories used, "you shouldn't ever have to be alone again! At least . . . At least not in your adventuring." He had to clarify a little bit because, quite frankly, he wasn't old enough to leave the beach side for too long. Not only would his mother worry but his papa might grow upset.

Though he was a knight he was a little knight in training. . . much as he hated to admit it. And he had to assume that the little filly in front of him had parents to fuss and worry over her too. So he couldn't guard her all the time but he would most certainly try! She'd be his best-friend, or one of them at least, and they'd have the most grand adventures of them all!

Ears pricking as she admitted ne'er seeing the sea, Hadrian's eyes went wide with surprise. Never been to the ocean!? No. Waaaaay! That was impossible! Hadrian often forgot that many weren't so blessed as to live by the ocean like his family. Many lived further inland and only took trips to the edges of the land from time to time. . . but Hadrian understood he was blessed.

"You know it's . . . it's not that far from here! I could take . . er. . . accompany you to the sea if you'd like!" He remembered he was talking to a princess and therefor he should use the best vocabulary he knew! "It's lovely with the cliffs and the sandy beaches. . . . and you get to watch the sun melt in to it at night!" He wanted to show his newest friend his homeland. . . heck, he'd even invite her whole family if she could but come!

Oh! to not be alone again would be fantastic! She did of course pick up on that subtle clue that it wouldn't be a 24/7 thing...Miki was sure even with her gypsy parents that they'd worry and of course Zara would worry! Afterall they were all princesses together and of course untill that knight in shining armor came to bring them to a new kingdom they'd remain together! It was just how stories worked!

...but wait?

The Sea? He was going to take her to the sea??? THAT WAS ALMOST LIKE A NEW LAND! Oh my! Bashfully kicking some dirt about with her hoof she wondered if he really had the intention to take her away to a fantastic land of wonder and excitement. Yet they were so young to be heading in such direction; yet could you really set an age to love? Well; yes....Zara would be most unpleased if she came home with a, a boyfriend! The little filly fought back excited giggles at the prospects of it all...this was going exactly like the stories told!

"Oh Hadrian dear...you don't need to be so formal all of the time. We may be royalty, but we're still friends you know!" Best friends even! Or at least she wanted to say so! Flicking his hip lightly with the fluff of her tail she let out a soft series of giggles before trotting a few feet down the trail to where she remembered the direction of the sea was. Of course she'd let Hadrian lead for it was fit for a knight/prince and well...she didn't know the way exactly. Pausing once she was on a small hill she turned to look back at him, and with almost perfect timing the wind had picked up to tousle her short black hair about her face and neck.

"I'd love to go to the sea..." Then she'd have real information to tell in her stories instead of just recycled information from someone else.

Smiling warmly, Miki looked back out to the path before her; unexplored and new. The horizon looked full of promise and she couldn't think of anyone she'd rather take it with. Closing her eyes for a moment; Miki let the slow and heartful lyrics flow from lips; not as beautiful as her sister but pleasant just the same.

"Live in my house...i'll be your shelter.
Just pay me back,
With one thousand kisses.
Be my lover, and i'll cover you...Yeaahh ~ <3

Hadrian felt his little nose darken as she called him 'Hadrian dear'. Was he really a dear to someone? Other than his parents, that was? Oh, what a joyous day that he had met such a little princess in dire need from the darkness! Certainly he'd never expected to rescue a damsel this day, and maybe he hadn't exactly rescued her, but he had been there when she needed someone! Darkness had almost overwhelmed her but he had helped ward it off, or at least announce that he'd take care of her should she ever need help again.

Oh yes, Miki had stumbled across genuine nobility. The little prince of the sea had found his princess and he wasn't so readily going to give her up or cast her aside. Once a friend the little blue colt was a friend for life. He had made many a promise this afternoon but had every intention of keeping his word. They were friends, buddies, pals and she was going to need someone to watch over and protect her - especially with that Lord of Nightmare chap wandering around! He didn't exactly like the idea that she knew such power and magic, or whatever it was, but so long as he was around nothing scary, summoned or not, was going to hurt her.

No way.

His little hip tickled as she brushed her til against it. His own fluffy tail swished back and forth as he watched her trot forward. "Well I'll try to be more casual, than, darling," he announced with a rueful grin, glad he was given the opportunity to use the phrases he'd picked up from his parents. He didn't know what a darling was but it could easily be used on another soquili! Whatever it might be it did sound kind of nice. . . . "But princesses are s'posed to be talked nice and formal to.. I don't want you to think I'm not being polite." What a day that would be when and if his little friend ever thought so poorly of him.

No, if Hadrian had his way his rescued damsal would be given only the best!

Trotting after her, Hadrian's smile of delight only grew as she announced that she wanted to go to the sea. His own tail swished back and forth happily before he allowed it to entwine with her own. He said nothing though as she broke out in to song, his little ears pricking forward and his chest swelling with pride as he listened to the lyrics. . .

Were they meant for him or was she just singing out her joy?

Either way, the little colt was tickled pink and vowed he would forever and always keep Miki near and dear to him so that she could sing anytime she pleased. Never would he let that voice be silenced even if it meant he had to face the Lord of Nightmares himself. He'd do it in an instant and without fear because it would all be for miss Miki. "You sing beatuifully," he whispered lightly as her voice died off.

Hadrian couldn't sing a note, or so he assumed. He'd never actually tried to sing or dance before and could only imagine that he'd look more foolish than anything. Reaching over, tail still entwined with her own, he offered her a friendly little nuzzle. She had announced earlier that she wished to go to the sea, well, Hadrian felt as if there was no reason that couldn't happen! "Well, if you wanna go than let's go! It's not horribly far from here," of course it couldn't be - his parents didn't like it when he wandered far - and the breeze that rustled their hair was backed up by the beach winds. The smell of salt wasn't too far a run. . . .

They could make it within the next half-hour if they kept at a steady trot! "Do you think you could come with me, if only just a little while?" He questioned, his hope beginning to rise. "You could even meet my family if you wanted to, or at least see the land I get to rule over!" It would be his someday, Hadrian liked to pretend he was the heir and once his father stepped down he might get to rule over and protect those of the beach. Already he was able to walk along the shore and rescue washed up sealife after the tide died down - hhe could do so much more once he was actually older! "I'd be sure to walk you home and make sure you're safe, and we wouldn't have to stay long so your family won't worry!" He added with a firm nod.

He would be Miki's escort for as long as he could. Sure, it wouldn't be fun when they had to part ways to go to their respective homes but such was the woe of ones life when they were small. They'd all be big enough someday.

Oh indeed Hadrian had become dear so swiftly to the little miss' heart, even she was aware the warm affectionate glances she kept sending his way. The friendship that had touched her heart today had come as fast as a sunrise, leaving her tingly and warm. It was a odd feeling she had to admit, not having felt such from her sisters or her other friends...it was different. Even a scribe like her had a hard time trying to describe it - and that was her specialty! Zara was indeed the level headed of the three sisters, maybe she would need to conference with her most beloved of the family and see if she could make sense of it?

Oh wait now....Darling? DARLING!? Oh my, did such a beautiful word make the filly swoon something fierce. What a complete sap she was for anything romantic in nature. They were indeed her favorite of favorite stories!

"Hadrian, do not worry! I know you are a complete and truely genuine gentlecolt. Yet first and foremost we're friends...so know that i'll never think wrongly of you Hadrian!" With a curt nose to nose nuzzle the little filly blushed, her tail swishing to the side while intwined with his own. "I must disgress though, you have heard nothing untill you hear my sister sing! It is her specialty so she is so much better than I. My other dear sister can dance like the wind, it is such a sight to see! Myself...well; my specialty is that of story. I've always had such a wild and vivid imagination and the words to inspire with!" Of course, not to float her own boat with such vanity!

Such thoughts were pushed aside when he indeed said he would take her to his kingdom! Oh how her heart began to pound with excitement!

"Really?? Oh I would love to Hadrian! Even if for just a while it would be an experience of a lifetime!" She admitted, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. Were there castles there, and other knights like he? What of his family....they must look like royalty of the highest caliber! Her own were just a band of gypsies, nothing like kings and queens! Would they even like her...?

"Oh lets go now! I am much too excited to stay still much longer!" Miki giggles, tugging at his short mane to get him moving down the path with her. "Do not worry about walking me home though...my family moves around a lot so we don't have a set place we stay at. Its sometimes a chore just to find them before duskfall but my parents will always come find me if im not home and its very late. They want to hone my skills but wont leave me out forever! I wouldn't want you then walking home when its very, very late!" Although he was indeed a knight in her eyes, he was a tiny knight....and fo that reason he probably wasn't as effective against those much bigger than he...

However something else brought up a curiosity in the little femme, looking over to her newfound best friend forever with a smile.

"Tell me more of your family, Hadrian. Have you brothers and sisters?" Surely the world needed more individuals like her! She dearly hoped his family was huge and full of personalities like him.

The little colt was immensely impressed at Miki's announcement. A sister that could sing, another that could dance, and she herself was a story teller? The little colt couldn't help but feel a little silly in comparison; what could he do anyway?

"Well, miss, it sounds like you come from a very impressive family!" And wasn't that the truth. He'd never told a story before, though he did love listening to the ones his mother would recite before bed, and he certainly had never tried to sing much less dance. No, in actuality Hadrian wasn't exactly talented in any real special way. . . . He was just a little prince of the sea. A defender. But what good knight and prince wasn't!? Still, he wasn't going to get too down about it. . . . He was who he was and Miki didn't seem put off by his lack of ability.

Grinning, the little colt offered his lady a bow of his head. "Perhaps I might be so lucky and you could tell me a great tale, one just for me. I'm not imaginative to come up with my own stories, not really I don't think, but I would love to hear a tale all your own." He'd cherish a story from his dear friend that was meant solely for his ears. He'd keep it locked in his heart and memory and could remember that it was from her to him.

Yes, he'd like that very much.

If Hadrian found pride in his home (which he did) he also understood that he was biased. It was his home and his royal family lived there. The sea and the ocean side beaches was a comfort to the little colt, and he couldn't quite see himiself every straying too far from home. He loved his family too much, and loved even more the smell of salt and the crashing over ocean waves. As a white knight he'd have to travel to save damsels from distress, but no matter where his hooves took him he would always return to the shore. And now he would get to show Miki!

His tail wagged happily behind him, eyes glowing with delight. Her excitement washed over him fully and he couldn't help but pick up his walk in to a bit of a trot. He wouldn't rush her, mind, that wouldn't be gentlemanly of him, but the faster they walked the quicker she would see! "It won't be long, I promise," he assured, still keeping his tail twined loosely with her own, as if to guide her in such a manner all the way home. "And I'm quite sure you'll love it. It truly is a wonderful kingdom." Even if there weren't any castles. . . .

"I have a brother, Julian; he's like me except very pale, just like the sea in the morning! He has both my mothers horn and my fathers wings, but can be a little quiet." It was true, Hadrian adored his brother but in all honesty he didn't know him well at all. He was . . . well. . . . plain and simply Julian. And that was that. "My sister is the baby of the family, and very sweet," he added with a grin. "She's much darker than my coat and inherited the looks of my father; she has beautiful wings and swirls all down her legs!" But, like his brother, she was a bit of a coy creature too. "I suppose my family is quiet; they tend not to interfere with the going ons of others. . . . My father takes to flight most of the day but always returns home to tell of his adventures. And my mother is so loving, I am just sure she will find you as amazing as I do!" Yes, that had to be right.
