I've had a terrible week. So I'm done, I'm just done. I haven't really updated anyone on my band, but while I was gone for those 2.5 weeks Nate and I were jamming alot of it. We got really good, and things were really falling into place.
But I've had enough of him. I'm always the one to ask him over, to instigate band practice, to start things. And the one time he was supposed to ask me to see a movie with our friends, he forgets. Leaving me to haul the 30 miles it takes to get to my house and then drive all the way back because I didn't have any cash on me and my card was at home. And grab my gear so we could jam for a few hours.
He'll ask Ash out to do things. I know he's got a crush on her, which is fine, I don't care. Ash is my friend and I love her. But if you really like the band your in, then why don't you take the command of things, yes? So I say screw him. I'm not going to call him or text him. If he can remember to come to my grad party (he has the memory of a dead pig) then fine. But I am not doing this crap anymore.
I shouldn't have to compromise my playing for him either. I'm the one that plays to his style but he never tries to play to my style. So again, screw him. I'm done.

dont give up your fun because of him though...

currently im just sitting at my girlfriends place....since i dont speak german or have many contacts with her parents....and im not the type to just sniff around in other peoples closeths....im left here without dinner....and i am pretty pissy....
she is off to a concert...to play with her big band...its from 7 to 12 wich leaves us no time for any fun stuff...im watching dull movies since the internet is so crappy it hardly stays connected for 5 mins....
and i just feel shitty because all of this

Things'll get better sooner or later, like for me, I get many days in a row of pure shittiness and then I getone day or one hour of happiness, which makes me get through the following shitty days. 3nodding
I've had a bad week at work too, I had only two days of training for the job, and it was not enough. Thursday especially was terrible, I almost started crying. But luckily there's a few nice people there who don't mind me asking stupid questions all the time, and luckily today (Friday) was a quieter day, so I had some spare time to just chill and actually have some breaks and eat. =)

I'm not going to let him ruin all my fun, I'm going to keep playing bass, and find someone else to play with. He plays like a newb anyway. He doesn't try and play along with major chords or any other accurate stuff of the sort. Which in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but at Least I'm trying to incorperate some of the major chords and scales into our songs.
It seems I'm improving at a faster rate and I'm trying to learn the instrument.

Sorry to hear about this, you seemed very interested in doing this project. My Hollow I shouldn't have to compromise my playing for him either. I'm the one that plays to his style but he never tries to play to my style. So again, screw him. I'm done. But even if he wasn't irresponsible about practicing, this should be reason enough to not try a project with him.

A friendship shouldn't be so one sided. I know he likes me as a friend but, if he wants to hang out he's gotta call me.

Maybe it's just a phase with him and he'll get more driven soon or something. That happens to everyone in my band. They get inspired and wanna practice and everything, but then they're just like "whatever" at other times. Come to think of it, I write everything in my band. And.. play, mix, and produce everything. Damn it, I guess I'm solo.
