It was a cool and foggy spring morning. Nayomi stood under the shade of a rather short tree full of pink blossoms at the edge of the forest. She had finally found her way out of the forest, and now she wasn't sure where to go next. "I'm lost." She said aloud to herself, in a tiny voice she wasn't used to using from living alone. Slowly she stepped out from under the shade of the tree, into the meadow, whose grass was still damp with dew, and fog still clung to the ground, so she could only see a short ways ahead.
Very tentatively she began to make her way across the meadow, not knowing what might be on the other side, or in the middle of it for that matter.

Indeed, it was a cool and foggy morning. Asa had run off from his father and the teepee to have a look around the clearing close to there home.
Standing in the middle of all this fog he was sniffing flowers and looking around wondering which way to go and what he would see upon taking another step, in any direction.
The fog was just so thick it felt odd breathing with such fog in the air but the coolness made his nose tingle in a pleasant way. (Good?)

Nayomi walked slowly through the fog, her tiny hooves making little noise in the soft ground. The air was so still and heavy, you could almost track the butterflies erratic flights as they cut through the fog, weighed down by the dampness on their wings. In that stillness, and quiet, she soon heard another something breathing, and the soft thud of hooves.
"Hello." She called out rather quietly, not knowing who was just beyonf the fog.

Not far off in the fog Asa heard the voice, even while trying to breath. It was hard with how heavy the air was. It wasn't pleasant breathing in this air.
"Hello!" He called out louder then the other Soquili, or so he guessed the other to be.
"I'm here!!" Best to let them know where he was and keep talking so they didn't loose his position...or smash into him.

After a moment of searching, she finally spotted something moving, and then saw the other foal heading towards her. That relaxed her a bit, it was something her size, not something big and foreign which frightened her. "Hello." She said with just a touch more confidence this time.

Surprised when his cyan eyes landed on another foal he gave a happy flap of his wings. "Hello!" Happy to see another Soquili, let alone another foal, he was quite glad as he didn't feel quite so lost now.
"Such thick fog, I'm lucky I found someone else." He said nodding his head and smiling brightly.

Nayomi looked quite surprised to see he had wings before. She had met so few others, that she had never seen wings on any horse, the good kind or the bad. "And lucky that we didn't find eachother by running into eachother. I was afraid I might walk into a tree." She said, gaining a little more confidence since he seemed quite friendly. "What is your name?" She asked.

"As was I, I can't see a thing. It is good we didn't run into each other or something else, or trip." He said observing a small hole in the ground not more then a few inches away from his front right hoof, it was well covered for the most part also.
"I'm Asa, and your name?" He asked brightly.

"Oh yes, a very good thing. This fog has made me even more hopelessly lost than before." She said, though she had no clear idea of where she was going to, so she didn't know if she was truely lost or not. "I am Nayomi." She said staring at the hole he had found, just big enough for a hoof of their size to fall into. "Do you know what is on the other side of this meadow?" She asked, hoping to find some direction to go, instead of wandering aimlessly.

Of course he was glad he'd found the hold, didn't need to catch a hoof in that. It would hurt and could break a leg, right? Or would it just break a hoof?
Shaking his head he ducked it down. "No...I don't...know. I'm sort of new." And he really should be with a parent but had wondered off and gotten lost in the fog.

"Which way did you come from?" She asked, as she glanced around her, she quickly realized she didn't even know where she started from, or which way might be the other side, and that he was as lost as she was. "So am I." She said in response to being new, she assumed just new to the world. "Well maybe if we get back to the trees, we might be able to see better." She said not really knowing if it would help or not.

"That way." He said motioning his head toward the woods. "I came from home." He said nodding his head. He and his father had been around their teepee.
"Well...I think that's the way anyway." He said sheepishly as he ducked his head. There really was no way to tell which way the woods, that his home was in, were.
"That may help...or maybe the fog is broken up in the woods and we can stay there able to see and wait this out..." He said slowly. "We just need to keep together."

She nodded in agreement, not wanting to be alone in this fog. "It might even be warmer in the forest." She said, mostly hoping it would be, with the fog so thick the sun hadn't warmed the land at all, and she was feeling cold. Slowly she started walking towards the forest, or at least in the direction she hoped was closest to the forest. She looked back to make sure he wasn't far behind so they wouldn't lose eachother in the fog.

Walking up to her side he nodded his head. "Hopefully, I'm sure it will be warmer in the forest. If not we can find a warm place and wait this cold and fog out." He said nodding his head again and smiled to her.
He was hoping the forest would be warmer, if not though they could find a large hallowed out tree right? Or under some bushes, something right? There had to be a way for them to get warm.
"So what were you doing out?" He asked looking to her curiously.

"Oh I am always out, I don't really have any place to go, so I just wander here and there." She said without any note of sadness in her voice for her lack of family, and generally bad situation. She didn't know any different, and didn't know that most grew up with their family, all she knew how to do was to try and survive. "I suppose I am out looking for something good to eat, yesterday I found some wild berries." She added.
