I was still wearing my straitjacket when the door opened.
It simply happened. Not one to miss out on opportunities, I worked my way out of the confining peice of clothing, which was kind of odd, considering I had never been able to do so before. I began to wonder what had happened. As I started pondering, the door began to close.
I ran to the other end of the padded room, desperate to escape. My hand stretched out to catch the door, to keep it from closing. To my surprise, it streched unnaturally far. Halfway across the room, in fact.
"Odd," I said, just as soon as a voice came on the intercom, which happened at the exact same time as my exiting the room.
"ATTENTION INMATES! you have just been exposed to a mutagenic gas which, if our scientists did their job correctly, should have very strange effects on your DNA and physical structure. the doors opening and closing was to let the gas out. can't have too much of that in your system. You will now be examined by doctors. If you resist, you will be tranquilized. any questions?"
I looked around. I wasn't the only person out of their padded room.
The other startled faces were the last things I saw.
Who am I? I am Aurelio Skinner, former detective, former mass murderer, psychopath.
I can only hope I survive my latest profession.
