There is a question concerning Harvest Moon that has been on my mind for a while now concerning potential marraige candidates; How come in the boy games, they always make the brides to be really pretty and stuff, but when they make a girl game, we're always stuck with elvis impersonators, lazy slackers, and hippies?! The closest we ever got was Skye and unless you know what you're doing, he's a pain in the butt to even meet! Magical Melody wasn't so bad considering that they were the guys from Save The Homeland, but the graphics are kind of corny so it takes away from it a bit! The only guys whom are probably worth going after are the Mineral Town boys, but they only show up in one game if you have a GBA, but don't have a connector cable.
Does anybody hear me on this?

That's so true. Even the nice girls are pretty. But then the only semi good looking person is Rock, and he's an idiot.

Yeah. I do like the guys personalities in AnWL.
But... um... pretty girls > pretty guys.
I wish there were more bachelors and bachelorettes to choose from though. D:

I know exactly what you mean. In the Mineral Town games the guys don't quite add up to the girls. Especially in the GameCube games, the girls are just ... better. Just putting my 2 cents in. XP

That's why Marvelous Interactive needs some teenage girls on staff for market testing. Teenage girls that can see. Very well. So they can all say, "What the (bleep) is an Elvis Impersonator in here!"
But then again, maybe Marlin was supossed to be Elvis-like. Would make a heckuva lotta sense as to why he's on heart pills . . .

I think that 5 is the perfect amount of bachelor/bachelorettes there should be. Anymore and you have a horrible time choosing who to marry, especially when two people's personalities are really similar. Any less and you might not approve of any of them.
I kind of liked not liking any of the Forget-Me-Not bachelors but I'm weird. :]

Yeah, i like the boy version more. But i like the DS Cute better than the DS 1. idunno, more stuff 2 do maybe? im happy tht u can marry the FoMT bachelors without the game ending... though i miss the Best Friend thing. I wouldn't mind marrying Leia or Ann lol

I'll admit the girls are better, but I still kinda like the guys.
I bought Cute to marry Carter. I still haven't yet though. xp
And Skye is really easy if you've gotten his first heart event. He's in the spot every night, except Sundays.

I agree with you all greatly. I have Magical Melody and I always loved Kurt's character, when I saw him in the game I'm thinking "WHAT THE *BLEEP* DID THEY DO TO MY FAVORITE HM CHARACTER?!"
.......Didn't stop me from marrying him though mrgreen

I Love Harvest Moon just like the rest of you but a girl can only put up with soo much especailly if they make the HM bachelors not soo attractive sad In ALL the HM games the girls are always beautiful but when it comes to the guys they give us Chubaka, Grumpy, and Dopey stare Seriously, whats up with that? The only good looking guys I see are the Mineral Town boys and some of the characters from Magic Melody (Ray, Alex, & Kurt). Also if their soo determine to keep the girls hott and not the guys then why don't they just let us marry them aswell? I was soo mad when I found out that they took the best friends ceremony from the english version of HMDSCute. I'm bi and I kinda feel insulted that they did that. Either way they should change how they do things. I mean they can keep Marlin, Gustafa, and Rock if they don't wanna make new sexy characters for us but the least they can do is give the guys a new look. Like maybe Gustafa can shave his beard, have his hair nice and long like Skye but he keeps it in a pony tail tied by a ribbon, and Idk change the clothes to something more fastionable. As for Rock...well he should loose the disco clothes. Marlin should get a haircut. Maybe it could be spiky or something. Well just a thought anyways. Sorry that I wrote soo much sweatdrop
