Dia wandered over to the river to have a drink. It was a pleasant enough stroll through the forest to take her time, stop to nibble at a few stalks of the tall bushes growing on either side of her winding path. She was relaxed and more or less content. Certainly in an amiable mood. Once she got to the water and drank her fill, she pawed at the water a bit, reassuring herself of the depth of that first step off the bank, then plunged in, wading out deep enough that she could feel the current tugging at her leg and yet was in no danger of being swept away. Then she heaved a happy sigh and closed her eyes.

Cyrille made it to the river, she noticed that there was a strange mare swimming there. This was not something she was expecting to find, This part of the river was near her home, and was usually only used by her family. It wasn't like other Soquilis came swimming everyday. Infact this was the first one she had seen, doing so.
She watched the other curiously. Tthen cautiously moved into the river so the water was up to her knees "Hello there" she called out to the other mare.

Dia turned her head over her shoulder, spotted the other mare, and very carefully turned herself around so they were facing one another. "Hello yourself. Are you coming in?"

Cyrille moved into the river and headed towards the mare. "Oh the water feel so lovely" she giggled. Soon she had made her way to the other was swimming. She smiled and looked at her curiously "I don't mean to be forward, or anything, but how is it that you happened upon this part of the river" she asked.

Well, that was an odd question. Still it wasn't rude. Dia tilted her head a bit, all the same. "I wandered for a while until I saw a spot that looked comfortable and stepped in." She paused briefly before asking her own question. "Why?"

"My family lives in the forest, over there" Cyrille stated, as she used her head to gestured towards the forest. Then turned to look at the other mare, again." There happens to be a barrier of trees on each side. They are growing up to the river. This means it's rather difficult for someone to just come wondering in here, for a little swim"
The multi brown colored mare tilted her head and looked at the younger mare "You went through the tree barriers?" she asked then shook her head and said "Oh dearest me.. I am being rather rude. I am Cyrille"

Dia blinked mildly. She looked at the bank, at the trees and back to the other mare. "They're just trees," she answered, she thought reasonably. "My home is by the forest too, just further up the bank. I walk between trees all the time."
"Dia," she answered then.

Cyrille sighed and shook her head "Nice to meet you, Dia," she replied.
Cyrille looked down the bank "Most trees are easy to walk inbetween but the ones that grown on either side of this place are to close together for someone to just walk between" she states and begans to swim around a bit "You would have to know where to well pull or nudge to find the openings. They are not clearly visible" It had taken her several months to find an area hidden away from the others, so her family would have a save place to hide from danger, and someone Dia had just walked into it.
"I don't mind you swimming here. It's rather nice having someone to chat with. The fact that you say you just wondered into this area worries me. It is suppose to be secure," she sighed.

Dia looked up and down the river again, then back at the other mare swimming around her. "I had to nudge my way through a little, I suppose," she admitted. It hadn't seemed that out of the ordinary to her. She was determined to get where she wanted to go. "I don't understand how you mean to keep the river private, though. It's a river. It goes beyond your trees. I could have just wandered down through the water."

"The trees go across the river. They form a natural circle around this area. The river runs between the trees, but soquilis cannot do so. " she replies as he swims fast around in odd patterns" "I am not trying to keep the river private. I am trying to keep my family's home safe." she replied then began to swim in one place " Not that you would harm my family but if you can get into here.. then others who are not friendly can"
Cyrille, Duncan, their children and a few others happen to be the only ones who knew about this area. They all knew not to go telling random soquilis about it.

Dia hadn't been told by anyone. She'd followed her whim, let her feet take her where they would, and she wandered in.
"I'm here," Dia said. "Which I think proves that Soquili can get through the trees. But," she added, wading toward the river bank, "I'll go, since it makes you uncomfortable." She was quite uncomfortable herself.

Cyrille sighed and swam after the other mare "I didn't mean to make you feel that I was feeling uncomfortable about you being here, she replied, then swam up next to the Dia " Perhaps you could show me where, in the trees, you came thread?" she asked.

Dia climbed out and shook off the water, once she was sure she wouldn't splatter Cyrille. She took a moment to get her bearings, then went to the spot where she'd come through. "Here it is. See? Right here." She indicated a place where it was easier to get through.
Then she turned her head and said, "It was ...nice meeting you, Cyrille. I hope your family stays safe."
