A friend of mine told me that there are rumors about him planning a farewell tour. I know he might be taking time off in 2010, but could someone give me more info?

and suddenly... i hear a faint cry of mass hysteria from all the Dears in the world if that were true. sadly... even though i have been hiding myself in the confines of the world of the GazettE... i haven't heard of such a thing from Gackt. a "farewell" tour... he doesn't really have anything new out aside a few remakes and game songs... i'm not putting him down... but i don't think he should be thinking about a "farewell" tour so soon... i mean... a few people that are close to him have already leaked out that he is making a new album. but believe as you wish... the man is still too young to be retiring... unless he decides to go into other types of work like producing/writing songs and such... the man is a jack of all trades... and possibly a master to them all. :XP: te-he. yeah... my answer is so not answering anything. hahahahaha! sweatdrop

The man comes out with a new album every day it seems like...
I think he can take a break.
I personally think he might be a workaholic, so I doubt him farewell will last very long.

oh yeah... i 2nd that thought. i think the man is a workaholic too. i think a break a definite must for him. "farewell" a bit too soon... but a break sounds more reasonable.

I heard that he was taking a break soon, if not now, but I haven't heard of him planning a farewell tour. I really hope he doesn't for a long time.

WEll, she read it off a Japanese tabloid, but those were just rumors. I'm not ready for him to say farewell!!!! T^T

don't worry! he is only 33 - 34... i mean... 400-something years old... he's still young. if he does "retire"... he's just going to come back out again... the man loves his spotlight. besides, a break would be nice for him... if you watch the newest platinum box set, he got polled by his entire staff... and few of the poll questions was: is he working too much, and what they want him to do in the future. if i remember... to the first question, majority answered that he pushes himself too hard/needs better sleep hours/needs to pull his health up. to the 2nd question, majority answered that they want him to continue to write music/continue to do tours/continue to grow. he listens to his staffs, and he listens to his fans... i think he is only saying that he wants to take a break in 2010 to make everyone feel bit more at easy about him. don't feel worried... just look to the present for him an watch what he does... looking so far into the future will only make you worried and can let you down.
