Five strangers are among the passengers on the first run of a newly constructed train.
-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_
But what happens when a train, forty feet above the tops of the trees in a remote part of Columbia, suddenly stops?
-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_
What happens when it has no power at all? No way of calling for help, and a dwindling food supply?
-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_
What's more, what happens when, mysteriously, only five strangers are left of the two dozen people who were on the train?
-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_
And when they make a daring escape from the train to the ground below, how will they deal with their next trial?
-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_-l_
And the next?

-l_-l_-l_-l_The Rules-l_-l_-l_-l_-

1. Obey the Gaia TOS and all that, on pain of sharp sticks in eyes, or banishment. Whichever works faster.

2. You Role Players are going to be normal humans. So, no god-modding is kind of an easy rule to follow, right?

3. Literate. "That means use quotes for speaking." No *for actions*.

4. OOC talk will use ((these))

3. There will be five people participating, six including me. It's first come, first serve. PM your profiles to me with the title "What now?"

4. I will dictate things such as scenery and NPC characters within the RP. There will be one person that the five will bump into every now and again. Not saying anything about him yet, but his appearance is that of my Avatar right now, minus the tail.

5. You will do exactly as I say, when I say it. I say "type", you say "how much?"

6. This RP will have a definite end. You join, you better be prepared to stick it out till the end.

-l_-l_-l_-l_The Idea-l_-l_-l_-l_-

There will be multiple "rooms," and each one will have some kind of challenge for the five. They will range from puzzles, to making stories, to all kinds of things. You're real people, in interesting situations. If you can think of some alternative to solving the challenge then what I have presented, then go for it. I encourage creativeness.

Here's the catch. The nature of the challenges are life and death. There will be times when the failure of the others may result in the death of one. YOU will decide who survives this experience and figures out the bigger mystery. If all goes well, you all will make it. If it doesn't...

-l_-l_-l_-l_Profile Skeleton-l_-l_-l_-l_

Gaian Name:
Name:
Age:
Occupation if Applicable:
Brief History: (this RP is a lot about getting to know the people, so feel free just to put a little but here and then flesh it out later in the story. Also put why you are on the train and where you were going when it stopped.)
Skills: (this is so you can't pull out some crazy skill right in the middle out it)
Appearance: (I would like a small picture please. No real photos.)

You'll notice it's a pretty small Skeleton. Well, it's supposed to be. You'll be getting to know each other during the course of your experience.

The Train

It was decided that the quickest, most economical and environmentally friendly way to travel through the dense forests and canyons was to simply go above them. With this reasoning in mind, the South America Tree-Top Train, or SATTT (pronounced, Sat), was built. The train is a large monorail, which runs high on steel and concrete beams above the forests of South America, and connects nearly all of the continent that was not previously easily traversable. It makes stops at many connecting railways for a variety of destinations.

The train is on rails held up forty feet above the tree-tops. The rails are electrified to send power to the train, and stay electrified even if something happens to the train so that a rescue team can come on the same rails if needed. This also, or course, means that the rails are deadly to anyone who tries to walk on them.
There are six cars: the engine where the engineer rides, four passenger cars, and then the supply car that carries a few rations and a large jug of water. The passenger cars consist of cubicles with closing doors. The last car has special cubicles with small cots for those overnight trips, and are always one person per space.

All of the five main people, whether they have a normal cubicle or the overnight ones, have gotten the nice coincidence that they have their cubicles completely to him or herself. When the train stops, everyone needs to be by themselves, unable to see anyone else.

More to come.
