"It's good for you to get out of the house occasionally!"
"I'm sure it is."
A somewhat odd pair of people walked down the streets of Gaia together. One was small and petite, with asian features and what appeared to be a unicorn horn. Her style of dress was bright, mismatched socks and shoes and a long sweater that was belted around her middle, and no pants in sight. With her skipping, she was no-doubt giving any loli-fetishists around quite a show.
Her companion was tall and well built, with dark skin and black hair. He sported horns as well, though his appeared to be more ram like. He walked with a bad limp, and used a cane to help navigate the streets. And, unlike his companion, he didn't feel the need to be so happy about being out.
"Oh, Mally, that looks interesting!" The woman beamed, grabbing his free hand and starting to pull him into a store. "C'moooon!"
Why Mally dealt with her, he would never know. Probably because she cooked and cleaned for him. He never had been one for domestic chores. So, he allowed his small companion to drag him into some sort of store, which she apparently found quite interesting, judging from her excited happy noises.
He thought it smelled funny, himself.

Inside the shop, Samuel was sitting with Pollux in his lap, reading him a children's book in Creole. He was beginning to learn that the best way to teach a child was through repeated babbling.
Neither noticed when the customers entered. Really, Sammy should invest in a door bell...

"Oooooh, Mally, that's neat!"
"What is it?" Mally asked, mostly staying stationary by the door.
"It has teeth!" The girl said excitedly. How neat! A thing in a case!
"...Is it a human skull?"
"Probably!"
"...Cessy, why are we in a store with human skulls?"

And Samuel's head snapped up.
"Welcome," he smiled and allowed Polly to slide off of his lap, book still in hand. It was the child that approached first.
"Hi! I'm Polly! I like your horns!" and he swished his skirt.
Samuel just stood back by his skirt, It was courtesy to allow your guests to come to you.

Cissy leaned down, beaming at the boy. "I'm Cissy, and I like your hair!" D'aaaw, he was adorable. "It's very pretty!"
"What color is it?" Mally asked, carefully maneuvering his way over.
"Pink!"
"...Don't." Mally sighed.
"Awww...."

"Thank you!" Polly giggled, twirling a length of hair around a finger.
"Can I help you?" Samuel asked, finally moving forward. Polly was dangerous when left to strangers.

And he had every right to worry. Cessy looked like she wanted nothing more than to scoop Polly up. D'aaaw!
"Um, yes. Your shop smells pretty. Do you sell the incense?" She asked. "Mally likes it."
Mally raised an eyebrow. He did, did he? Cessy scooted closer to Polly, watching him close. "Cessy. Back off the kid." He sighed. While the neighbor thought it was funny and cute that his little 'chinese wife' would steal their children from time to time, he didn't think this man would find it nearly as amusing. He sounded large. And Mal wasn't as much of a fighter as he used to be.

No need. Polly just laughed and flung his arms around the woman's neck. He was a tiny child, but he knew how to hug!
Samuel just smiled.
"Yes, I sell plenty of incense."

Cessy laughed and hugged back. Mmm, huggies. "You're a sweetie, Polly." she turned her head back towards the man. "Go and pick out some incense!"
Mally sighed. "If you insist."

Polly just giggled. He loved making new friends! Samuel just went to rearrange some knickknacks on a shelf, making himself available if his current customers would need him.

Cessy smiled, leaning close. "Polly, could you help my friend Mally pick out some incense?" She asked softly. One of Mally's ears twitched. "I wanna talk to your friend about a surprise for him!"

Polly blinked. His friend? What? Was Ment here?
...oh well!
"Hey!" Polly chirped, going after the horned man and clinging to his leg, "Whaddya wanna smell like?!"
Samuel looked up and smiled affectionately.

Mally smiled slightly, ears twitching. Well, now he had a strange sugary smelling little child attached to his leg. This was... Interesting. He reached down, giving Polly's head a little pat.
"Not quite sure." He said. "What kind do you like?"
Cissy grinned, leaning against the counter. "So, like... Do you know of any way to break curses?" She asked softly, twirling a bit of hair around one finger. Hey, it was her hobby. Going around to various shops that seemed to dabble in the stranger things in life.

Polly put a finger to his lower lip.
"Ummmm...dunno. I like the spicy ones," he grinned up at the man then, "or you can get one that gives you something. We have some lucky ones, and some clean-y ones."
Samuel turned to the woman and gave a little bow.
"Indeed I do."
Was he growing a reputation, or was she simply a good guesser?

"I've got enough luck." Mally said dryly. He sniffed slightly, trying to pick out one scent among many. "What do the clean-y ones do?"
Cissy grinned, bowing her own head slightly. "My friend," She said, shaking her head towards Mally. "Got cursed back in China a few years ago. Didn't used to look like a tiger-goat thing. I've been looking around, trying to find ways to break it, but I haven't found one yet."
