Jewelry? Admittedly, Celyn didn't understand why his father was muttering about getting a piece of jewelry and dragging him along behind him. Couldn't they go to the marketplace and buy some food? Unfortunately, instead his father was taking him to a jewelry store, and it left Celyn a tad confused. "Why are we getting jewelry again? You don't wear jewelry, you don't have a special friend, and I don't want any. It gets in the way."

Carwyn groaned to himself. "We're getting something for my mother. She's given me a lot of money to take care of you so I figure I should show my love by giving her a piece of jewelry."

"Oh." Celyn knit his brows, still a bit confused. "Can't we just make cookies? Gramma loves those."

"She'd know you did it, Celyn." Carwyn brushed a piece of hair behind his ear before quickly pulling it back in front before anyone could catch a glimpse. "I still can't bake." He was a terrible baker! On the other hand, Celyn was fantastic and he wasn't even a teenager. Admittedly, it was a bit embarrassing. Carwyn was getting his nourishment from someone half his size. He wasn't about to admit that, though.

Carwyn shuffled into Stardust with his little churro boy who immediately began to look around the place in curiosity to familiarize himself with the new surroundings. "It won't be long, I promise. My mother isn't that hard to please. I don't think." Though she only liked certain metals. She claimed the others itched her terribly.

The churro boy was already bored. He'd rather be home making another batch of those delicious rainbow cupcakes. "Okay Dad." He pulled his braid in front of him and began to play with it, putting it between his fingers and waving it around. In the meantime, Carwyn walked ahead, assuming that Celyn was following along.

With the chiming of silver bells, a hair haired and pink-eyed man glanced up from his work bench at the back of the small store. Smiling as he found someone had stepped into the shop, Cyralthein rose to greet the two but was beaten to the fact by his twins. Frowning slightly, he hurried around the corner to make sure Lucian and Rion didn't upset these people... they'd been trying to be helpful and he was grateful for that but they had yet to develop a sense of restraint.

Two exotic looking children seemingly appeared from nowhere, their icy blue eyes fixed on the newcomers. It was been a slow day... boring really and there was only so much playing with rocks one could do before one got bored. Thus both were excited to meet someone new.

"Hi!" Lucian beamed up at the man, on hand held by his brother, Rion and then swung his gaze to meet the Churro boy's, "Hello! Welcome to Stardust!" Grinning, the little scent spread his free hand and gestured at the shop in general.

"Is there anything you want?" Rion chirped, adopting an angelic expression as he indicated the nearest display case, "We have all sorts of things."

"Ah, thanks boys." Cyr laughed, coming up behind them and resting a hand on each of their heads, "As they've already said, welcome to Stardust. If you need anything, just ask - I'm here to help. And my apologies for their antics, they're really very enthusiastic about being here today." Smiling apologetically, the Shifter turned to usher them back to the work bench where they'd been busy making things with spare wires and rejected gems.

Carwyn, a naturally nervous person these days despite his collected appearance, jumped when he was suddenly greeted by two very enthusiastic young children much to Celyn's amusement. They looked exactly the same, and sounded quite similar for that matter. What were they, hyperactive clones? "Well--,"

Before he could really answer, he was cut off by another man strolling over and apologizing for the children. "No, they're fine. Surprised me, but they're fine." Before the man got too far away, he waved his hand and shyly offered, "Though I could use a little help if you're not too busy. Celyn, do you have the list?"

After letting go of his braid, the young churro boy fished in his little wallet to find what his father was talking about. It was the list of his grandmother's various metal allergies and preferences so Carwyn could figure out what exactly to get Grandma Yates. He unfolded the paper and giggled before handing it over to Carwyn. "Dad, I thought you said it wouldn't be difficult! There's lots of things on that list."

"I know." Unfortunately. Who had an allergy to silver? "I'm looking for a small bracelet, preferably made out of gold instead of silver or nickel or any other metal of the sort."

Celyn giggled. Boy, Grandma Yates sure was picky! She could only have a gold bracelet? What was wrong with a silver one or a nickel one? Why wouldn't a bronze one work? And what was a small bracelet? Didn't bracelets just come in one size? "Isn't a small bracelet a ring?" His father shook his head and sighed.

"Ah?" Cyr ushered shooed the twins away as he turned back to the customer and smiled happily, "I'd be happy to help you." Listening carefully, he nodded and gestured for Carwyn to follow him to one of the larger cases, "There's quite a selection of gold jewelry over here..."

Looking up, he waved at Rion, "Would you mind getting my the keys please, Lucian?"

"I'm not Lucian!" Highly amused, he turned to get the requested keys while his brother moved forward, watching the whole exchange intently for a few moments before his settled onto Celyn.

"You smell like a bakery." He commented casually, coming to stand beside the other, "A ring could be finger bracelet though, right?" Lucian smiled pleasantly, "What's your name?"

"Ah, sorry Rion." Cyr gave a half laugh of mild embarrassment then nodded his thanks as the little scent returned with the keys and moved over to stand on the opposite side of Celyn to Lucian.

"Yeah, what's your name?" He exchanged looks with Lucian before meeting Celyn's, "Nice to meet you~" Adopting a positive angelic expression, the scent leaned in close as though sharing a secret, "Want to see the cool stuff?"

Carwyn trotted after Cyr. His son would be fine, right? It wasn't like he was going anywhere. Of course, he had made the mistake of thinking that plenty of times before. No matter, this was a jewelry shop. He wouldn't go running off in a jewelry shop. This would be only a few minutes.

"Quite a selection? Good. See, my mother has far too many allergies so I'm trying to find something specific." Thinking about what he said, Carwyn begged, "Please don't comment on the fact that I'm buying jewelry for my mother, I already got enough of that from my father." All he wanted to buy was a gift, and he got teased for being a Mama's Boy. Was it possible to ever win?

Celyn shied away when he was suddenly confronted by two very enthusiastic twins who came a tad too close. He was a sweet boy, but he still had a personal bubble until he knew someone for a period of time. "I guess you could say that. I'm not sure what you smell like." Celyn grabbed his arm and squeezed it nervously.

They both smelled the same, and admittedly, with the two of them the smell was a bit strong. It was bothering Celyn, obvious by the way he scrunched his nose. The smell of Fallen wasn't one the little boy favored. "My name's Celyn. Who are you two? I hear Rion and Lucian, but you look exactly the same." Why couldn't they get different hair cuts or wear different shirts? Their similarity was confusing.

"And what kind of cool stuff? If you're going to show me jewelry, I don't really like it. I'm only here 'cause Dad took me here." Celyn let go of his arm so he could nervously grasp his braid and play with that instead.

Cyr blinked at that then smiled, "Not a word will I utter. Though I say this. It's a noble gesture to honour your family. Very respectable." Turning to the case he'd stopped by, he gestured at the variety of jewelry at large then indicated the rows of bracelets, "If there is not something that catches your eye or something that needs a little augmentation, I can make custom pieces as well. Is there a particular stone you're looking for as well? Or a simple golden bracelet?"

"That's not important." Lucian replied with a quiet smile, "We are Lucian and Rion... You can't tell us apart?" Arching a brow, he grinned as though the difference should be obvious. Even their guardian got confused sometimes so he'd put little bar pins on their collars, one gold one silver to differentiate between the two. Of course, the pair sometimes switched them just to toy with those that knew them.

"Lucian," Rion answered, pointing at his brother and then bowed over in a graceful movement, "And Rion. We are Scents. Just like you." Nodding, he turned slightly to indicate a door that lead off to the back of the store, "No, no jewelry. Better."

The twins exchanged glances and grinned, plans already whirling in their minds at Celyn's comment. Inhaling deeply, Lucian touched the other's shoulder lightly, "We'll keep you busy so it's not so terribly boring, hrm?"

Carwyn let out a sharp breath and slumped his shoulders, relieved that the jewelry shop owner wasn't about to make any comments. Then again, the owner probably didn't want to drive money away... No matter, he was over thinking the situation again. "Erm." The musician unfolded the sheet of paper once again and looked up and down the list, trying to figure out what would work well for a jewel. "Ah. Perhaps an amethyst?" Whatever that was.

At the remark that what they were showing him was 'better than jewelry,' Celyn couldn't help a small chuckle. "I like most stuff better than jewelry." Needless to say, that statement didn't entice Celyn very much, but he would follow anyway. Dad and his jewelry search was boring anyway, even if this was giving him that sinking feeling in his gut again.

Unfortunately, they were moving a little fast for the churro boy. They bounced off of each other so quickly it made Celyn a bit dizzy, a bit like watching a ball bounce back and forth while watching table tennis. He was able to gather that they were leading him to some kind of door, were not showing him jewelry, and attempted to differentiate themselves for Celyn. That attempt didn't work, though, especially after they decided it was a good idea to head for the door.

"Dad doesn't want to take too long," offered Celyn, warily. This wasn't going to take too long, right? Celyn wanted to go to the marketplace and buy some sweets. Plus, these boys were still making him nervous. His hand returned to his braid to fiddle with it some more.
