Please do not post unless you are Mintaka, Rein_Carnation, or were asked to post by one of the two. Atheya had been wandering, as she had for as long as she could remember. Well, almost all of it - she vaguely remembered others, when she was a foal, but could not remember names, just glimpses of faces and colors... other Soquili who looked like her. She could only assume they were family - at least, that is what she'd been told by several others she encountered, like Zikeria.
Still she ahd not remained too long in one place, although had gotten much better at finding her way back to places, rather then the aimless wandering of her younger days. She had spent many days wondering fi she would ever run into the people in her memories - to meet this 'family' she had seemed to lost. Her memory was vague on how and why she had ended up away from them, but with her habit of wandering, it was easy to figure out it'd likely been from that...
She stood near a stream, looking around a bit for signs of others -- it was never good to take a drink without knowing one's surroundings. Even seemingly 'nice' Soquili could be very not nice, and chase you away from where you where. That'd happened at least once, and she'd grown more cautious...

Kimimela was happy yet she still let her thoughts sink backwards to the homeland lost to the age of nature and time. She stood remembering her first days after the storm, a mingled mix up of things she never understood. Language was against her, eyes were fearful and unjust, and she felt things would always stay that way.
But they didn't stay like that...
Glory, Oh where was she now the gray coated stripe tail mare wondered endlessly. She knew her friend had taken a mate, raised kids even, but she hadn't seen Glory in a long while. She herself had tried raising her own foals but things were difficult and misunderstood leaving her to hope and pray things went well when she was unsure.
Moving along she sniffed some dew soaked clover patches, the moisture being greedily sucked away by the already rising sunlight. Where had she been all this time her little mind pondered. Time seemed to stand still and yet it moved so fast. Still her speech though enhanced with Thokya's kind lessons, was still odd then others she met. Even though it was her native tongue it sounded false and brittle. With a sigh she pulled her head up looking around, "Kimi where go today?". She blinked uneasily seeing a mare in the distance.
Cantering down toward the stream her eyes widened. Could that be?...

Atheya lowered her head to drink and only got a sip before she paused, hearing something. She lifted her head, tossing her mane to one side as she looked. She had been right, someone else was around. She watched carefully, watching the light play off the coat of the other. It seemed to be lithe, like ehr, making her certain this was female, and as she could make out the colors...
She blinked and stepped back as her memory triggered, and she shook her head a moment. It couldn't be, but -- well, what were the odds of another looking the same? The mind could play tricks though... She held her ground instead, watching and waiting.
She hesitated a moment before speaking. "Hello."

Kimimela's heart was beating so frantically out of her chest she thought she'd explode from the sheer thought her mind was playing tricks on her. Eying the younger mare she searched her memories for which it was. There was of course three she tried raising, but Kimi had difficulty doing so, wondering if her own children laughed at her for what she was. Still there was one change in a million her mind was not faltering-----This was one of her blood.
So she smiled wildly, those orange eyes gleaming back at the other that was distinctly the exact same hue. The color was of Thokya's yet her own... which one was she.
Kimi think you must... names they were... think.
But, her mind was a locked box at the moment and simple conversation might be perfect for what she needed. "Hello" she responded back, her eyes still watching the other with the looming excitement this was her daughter. She tilted her head thinking, still noting came.
"Kimi has colors the same your coat does. Name you have?" This felt so very odd but she'd try so very hard. Her three had grown and left a long while ago after all---moving on with their lives of course. She was just a little miffed her memories were so fuzzy.

She stepped back slightly, surprised. Yes, the similarities were there, there was no denial, but the speech - the patterns and words - it was like a cascade as it came back again. No, there was no denials now; this was real. This had to be her mother, or the person who raised her.
"I- I am Atheya," she said, faltering slightly. She ahd learned to speak, although her ability to do so was awkward at times as she struggled to find the right words. She had spent so much time alone on her own that she had no need to speak much. She was making up lost time now with that. "Do... I know... you?" She tilted her ehad slightly, curious. "Family?"

Kimimela's ears swiveled as she listened and pondered thoughts that spoke in unsettled tones with her. The colors, the patterns, and mostly yes this was her daughter. Where had they gone and what had they done so far away she wondered as her tail swished back and forth. Those unmistakable eyes seeping into a mirror like reflection.
"Family You and me is!" she blurted out with a bubbling in her chest and ears as she looked at her grown daughter. How long had it been since the gray stripe tailed mare had seen her little- well they definitely weren't little now were they. "Kimi mother I is!" she leaned in closer hoping to nuzzle the mare yet she held back a bit not knowing if the other was willing to accept lost times and let them capture the present being there now.

Her eyes widened as memories jiggled around in her mind. The voice, the speech. Yes, ther was no denying, it had to be.... and if ti wasn't, what harm was there? But deep down, she knew it wasn't an imaginary deal. It was all real. Like a foal she pranced in spot a moment in excitement.
"Momma!" she cried out, remembering it as one of the first words she picked up as a foal. She skittered forward, almost falling over in her excitement to nuzzle her mom. As much as adventuring and wandering had been fun she'd missed her family horribly, and had always wanted to find them again - even all grown up. Just to assure her the memories were not merely delusions, fakes... to know she had a family too. "Mom... sorry for going." She thought she might cry. but held back, breathing carefully as she nuzzled her mom.

Kimimela's eyes flickered with a faintness.. no it was growing now to a glowing bonfire. Deep orange orbs gleefully staring back at the one she knew as her daughter. How long it had been since she saw them, ah definitely too long for they were quite taller now then when she remembered them. Were the boys this big too or was the gray striped tail mare getting shorter she wondered.
Seeing her daughter's remembrance as the loving parent that raised her, well for a good bit, made the lemur mare so incredibly giddy. "No no... Kimi sorry... Kimi sorry for being no better mama. Kimi tried Kimi failed. But Atheya here and Kimi happy she is." she leaned in nuzzling the only daughter of the three she ever had. Such a reunion that now made her feel that her past, the loss and the life she once had was all coming back to her. True that her words still didn't work the way she wanted them to, but Kimimela was used to her speech confusing others. It was more so routine she was getting used to.

Atheya stepped back, shaking her head a bit as she worked over the words her mother spoke. Her own grasp of language was never the best, despite exposure to others, and help. She just had spent too long not speaking much to be able to grasp it as fast. She shook her head again after a second. "No, no... is not. I wandered... away, stupid move. Got lost. Not mom's fault."
She seemed pretty adamant about this fact; she knew she was to blame for getting herself lost so badly, and seperated. A miracle almost she didn't get herself killed in the process, too. But then, odd things happened they way they did as they did. "Just happy to find you."
She was thankful for those who had helped her grow up finally, and gave her strength to be able to make it to here. To finally put the pieces back in place and make it all better.

Kimimela wanted to dance though communication wasn't of course their best defense. She always did speak backwards.. was that what Glory had called it she wondered. Speaking a tongue that was backwards and had to comprehend. Course when you got past the strangeness and understood the speech it really wasn't that difficult. But that really wasn't the issue here either. Now time is not to think understanding isn't right. Just glad Atheya is safe Kimi is. She shook her head repeatedly and couldn't help but nuzzle her confused daughter. "No frown for Kimi here she is. Atheya found and safe. Worry not."
Oh so much to catch up on it nearly made the mare's head flicker with thousands of images as they boldly played out in sequence. But first Kimi would take in her daughter's scent and know she was well. Her frame was sturdy and her legs lithe- and as always those eyes were as clear as her own. Wandering was something Kimimela had done once time shifted and now even Thokya had vanished it seems. But it was alright if even one of her blood was safe... she mused to herself watching her daughter, "Kimi want to hear ... travels to think and know of Atheya. Where go.. see who? Ah much Kimi knows she hers and wants." Idle yet intimate conversation was always something for a reunion. Kimi was sure her daughter had seen so much more than she herself had ever laid eyes upon.

Atheya nuzzled her mom again, feeling more at ease with things and relaxed. Even though ehr mom spoke in a odd way she understood the words, as she was not used to normal sentances anyway, and her own childhoom memories reminded her of the speech before.
She took a breath, trying to calm her jitters of excitement. "I made a fall, and then wandered. I was a bit scared when didn't find you or dad or anyone. Scary times..." She tiltd her head slightly, thinking. "Remembered good things to eat, and was by water. Followed it along, so I would not lack it. Very lost, days maybe like this? Nice hiding spots for foals along there." She laughed a moment, remembering how small she was and the places she got into to try to 'hide' from things.
"Ran into two-legger... took me back and found other Soquili. Was growing up, but not quite big." She nodded ehr head, assuring herself of this fact. "Met Zikeria, and others, Kahaina. Were nice, helped me understand more and two-legger cared for me too. Grew up, still wondering about family. Still wanted to wander, adventure... so came here. And now this!"
