So... who's up for never going into a library ever again? Seriously, never trusting shadows again, either.
Steven Moffat is fantastic! I'm definitely excited about him taking over when RTD leaves the executive producer/head writer post.
My theory about what's going on... everyone is saved, in a sort of digital fashion, in some big computer somewhere. Hence, everyone was saved, but no one "survived" per se. The library staff achieved the feat by using the teleport thing that the Doctor put Donna through in his attempt to get her back to the Tardis and all that data is saved in the same computer system that the information nodes use. While they are stuck in this digital limbo, the people occupy a small virtual environment. In order to be able to free themselves after the Vashta Nerada leave or die out, they created an AI to both interact with them in the virtual environment and be the consciousness for an android in the real world. This is the girl. She is, in effect, a go-between for the people who were "saved" into the system. However, fearing that the AI would go mad if it was all alone in the real world, they programmed it to believe the virtual world was the real one and the library is a dream. The psychologist is actually the scientist who programmed her.
I don't really have any theories when it comes to River Song. There are so many possibilities that speculation is almost useless. Clearly, though, she met/meets him while he is still Doctor Ten, since she recognizes him. I'm almost wondering if this isn't some sort of teaser for the 2009 telemovies they've been saying they're going to have in lieu of a full series.
Books!

And I'm Vashta Nerada (shadow parasites) this week in the Arena~ Help me out? I absolutely love the avatar! And this episode! The little girl is actually surprisingly good actress. And I would love to go to that world. (Though like Unnursvana said, when it's safe.) That River person (the one that knows the doctor), I kind of thought from some of her first comments that she knew the doctor from the future. I've been watching her and sort of seeing what kind of companion she'd be for future episodes if they did that. She's not my favorite character because, like Rose and Martha, she seems to be in love with the doctor and we don't need another one in the future unless it's with a really and I mean really good story line. Anyway, can't wait for next week when everything comes together. 3nodding

That is the reason why I like Donna. She loves him, but not the sore that's beyond just mere friendship. Just pure friends. I haven't seen it yet. We're up to The Doctor's Daughter here.

It just doesn't seem to sit well with me and the dynamics of his being so awesome! Anyway, I hope that the series brings on some really cool storylines this season. 4laugh

I just saw both the episodes and the only things I did during that time was wonder and come up with wild speculations about who the woman is, and sit directly under the light in the middle of the room staring at the screen eek

Listening to the comment in the second episode: (in white)
Are they married? "You two are fighting like an old married couple"...what was with that? I would agree with it right away, but I was getting the definite impression that the Doctor wasn't a constant in her life: he was flitting in and out of it. And if that's the case, then why did he get married to her in the first place? Also, with the name thing: did he tell her his name as a result of complete trust and them being married as I mentioned above, or was her knowing his name a result of his knowing she knew it? (if that makes sense)
