Hello everyone! This forum is designed to give you a place to talk about writing, show off your writing skills and get some honest opinions on what the members think about your work.

Please remember that each story needs to be in a separate posting so that each story can get its own comments. If your stories are larger then we have another forum for you so visit our Creative Writing Forum.

PLEASE POST YOUR ACTUAL STORIES AND NOT LINKS TO THEM ON ANOTHER SITE !! THANK YOU !!

Those of you who are reading the stories please remember to post your comments after you have read them and be honest not cruel or rude. Those of you who are writing the stories - please remember that each person has their own "style" of reading and to not take the comments to the heart if you find them a little rude. PLEASE!

I want you all to be yourselves, chat and have a great time but please, please don't go over the line. We are a family in this guild and there is no room for anyone to be mean! If you don't like the story you can say so but please do it in a nice way by saying it was just not your type of story.

Getting DEEPER into the details:

These are the specific/basics of the rules in list form.

- POSTING

When you post a story, you better think carefully about which forum it goes in! If you have itchy typing fingers, then get the hell in the CREATIVE WRITING forums. NOT SHORT STORY!! That forum is specifically for SHORTER stories.

A so-called 'short story' exhibiting more than a single chapter gets a warning and, if ignored, a deletion.

- WRITING

- story - I expect two to three pages on mWord. TimesNewRoman point 12. Having more is fine, but I will count the text to make sure you reach a minimum. These can be longer, but take note: anything less is more of a poem than an actual story.

Remember, the enter button actually LENGTHENS the story length. Who knew?! Don't use it in excess, though; one in between each paragraph. As in:

You can use as much as you want in scene breakers, but don't be ridiculous:

- scenes - I bet you're going- what the hell is this?? Easy, it's a change in scenery. A change in point of view or such. Id est, we have Bob walking down the street when he gets ambushed and dragged into a dark alley. Then, we have our pretty in-between thingie and change it to Lucy, who is walking down the street and sees Bob get kidnapped. Heck, we can have her in first person too, if we wanted!!

This cleans everything up for readers and makes it all easier to understand. Don't just spontaneously change scenes without any indication- this helps the readers from getting confused.

- TIME LIMITS

- TWO DAYS to reply to my warnings
- 24 HOURS to live if you disregard my rules

Now, I know you're thinking- Why is there a deadline at all?

Just to be frank, this deadline isn't something I will actually enforce. I was in a bad mood when I wrote the rules. I just want people to realize that if they're gonna post here, they have to realize that they should be prepared for a commitment. Isn't that what writing a story's all about? Committing yourself for the readers?
