Assassins, spies, technicians, hunters; the students of Class B.

Not much is known about the darker aspect of Diora College, those classes hidden away in their own corner of the school. Their black uniforms are the opposite to the white of Class C, the protectors. For Class B students can watch a thousand men die before them without even flinching. Their eyes have been trained to see darkness as well as light. Their bodies have been trained to be as hard as rock. Their minds have been trained to give no mercy.

Specializing in fields such as thievery, hacking, and murder, the students of Class B are the 'insurance policy' of the school. For what terrorist wouldn't target Diora College, the wealthiest school in the entire country, which houses the greatest minds (and greatest powers) ever seen? While Class C protects the school from detection, Class B ensures that no gang-leader gets cocky enough to even think about an attack. They'd be dead before the words had finished leaving their mouth.

Class B students divide their time between daily training, and nightly missions. Missions could include assassination, spying, or strait-forward thievary, but the students excel in all areas. For who would ever suspect a child?

However, being all but nocturnal does pose its problems; and training with the same group of 30 blood-thirsty students every day and night does develop its own dramas.

But then again, not much is known about Class B.

"Hello? Who's this?"

"You know who... I have another mission for you."

"I'm listening."

"11 o-clock last night three jeeps pulled into the Mojave desert with two truckloads of weapons. We believe the weapons dealer, Jason Sithe, is controlling a mission to kill the president. It's up to you to kill him and the other main men in his operation. Are you in?"

"I'm in."

"Ok, reach under the bed and pull out the manila envelope... do you have it?"

"Yeah it's here."

"Good, now pull out the contents. There shoud be a picture of Jason Sithe. Now reach under the bed and pull the gun case out. There should be a Dragunov sniper rifle. Now get on American West flight 227 to Los Angeles, CA. The plain leaves in 30 minutes. I'd hurry if I were you."

Dark, cold, empty, foul, and evil. These were the words that described the dark alleys and towns she went to to deliver justice to evil. But this night was different. This time it was another part of town. The only words she could find to match the town were, big, bright, and most of all loud. The inner city a place of gambling, whore houses, night clubs, and the rich.

Umbra cocked the gun and pointed it at the base of the mans skull. The man went pale, wide eyed, and began to tremble. "Please... I'll do anything. I- I can pay you! Please tell me what you want?"

Umbra looked at him blankly and said nothing.

"Please.... What do you want from me?!" The man began to weep.

"I want," the gun fired, a loud bang then silence. The man dropped dead on the floor, blood seeped into the rich red carpet, " your life."

People began to bang on the door in muffled voices. Umbra ran straight out the window, grabs a propel she had placed earlier and descended down the five story building, heading north east. Back to New York.

Layla walked alongside the dark corridors of the Class B buildings towards her room that’s situated at the far north of this building. Her long black hair with curls at the end matched the colour of the building perfectly, along with her slender body, the black uniform and her light coloured eyes. Even though it was during day time, the lights in Class B are quite faint, in fact, it has always been dark here, everyone.

Living at a place where she has to be careful of bullets at any time, where no one can be your friend and no one to save your life. Even the plants and the faint sunlight that went through the black curtains seemed oddly dark, and the smell of the room reminded her of the guy she killed a few days ago. Her original plan was only to kill him, the owner of that illegal company, but ended up killing more than ten including him and his useless body guard that only wasted more bullets.

She did not enjoy the smell of dead like any normal people nor the way blood spills all over her face, every time when it happen Layla had to spend hours in the shower trying to get rid of the smell. However, she didn’t feel any guilt each time she killed someone with their eyes widened with shock, in fact, she enjoyed the way people scream and run before she holds up her gun. She have killed tunes of innocent people, countless body guards that only worked for a survival, and also commoners that went across the scene.

Layla turned the handle of her room and walked into the room, at the centre of the room was a black bed with velvet curtain around it, with a table, a sofa, a closet and some other furniture that could be seen in any commoner’s room, but what makes it important and extraordinary is the guns and bullets hidden under or in it, some even on top of her roof. Guns and bullets and all sorts of other weapons were something that could be found in any Class B students’ room.

She pulled off the black school blazer she was wearing, throwing it onto her sofa and walked towards the table where three black envelopes with the red crest of the Class B sealed on it.

Three more?

Layla slipped her fingers through the seal and pulled out the letters from the three envelopes. Quickly reading through all of them, she pulled out her working diary from under the surface and wrote down those new jobs.

The content on those letters were always simple and plain, with the date that it’s due, the one that hired her, the amount to be paid and most important of all, the job to complete.

2008-06-01
Mr. D. Clexmen
R. Rowan eliminate
200 units

200 units? That’s quite an amount paid for a simple assassin job.

2008-06-02
Mrs. L. Clader
Mr. S. Clader spy
250 units

Quite a few rich people today? She wrote it into her dairy as well.

2008-06-01
Miss. N. Bollin
Partner up with Isabella and Matthew
Spying on the Lamen family.
400 units.

What the hell? ‘I never pair up with people, nor do I rely on any of them.’ Layla murmured.

She chained the gun onto her skirt, slipt on her blazer and walked out of her room, but didn’t lock the room for she believe that no one would dare walk into her room.

-----------------------------
Baldy, as usual, wasn’t afraid of anyone, including Layla, who nearly held up her gun and pointed at him, but all he said was. ‘You should have done it faster, with that speed you need more practice.’ While Layla glared at him with disbelief and with himself finishing off his ice cream and pulling another one out of the refrigerator.

Who am I? I’m the principal of this damn weird school. There are tunes of people who are scary in this school, Class A people use their smart brains scare him, Class B people use their guns, Class C people simply held up their hand which was already scary enough, but he is use to all of that already. He smiled at his ice cream and took another bite. ‘Besides, the partnership is for your own good, and the one that you’re partnering with is really handsome, you might even have some…’

Seeing that there was no chance of negotiating, Layla stormed out of the room with her the usual atmosphere of killing intent.

Baldy laughed. Those geniuses were always like that.

Ah, ice cream, why are you so delicious?

It was a normal Sunday morning, and as usual, Layla didn’t wake up until ten o’clock in the morning. As an assassin, Layla has to admit that she’s quite a lazy one, well, at least during day time. She never really liked the sunlight or morning breeze or the animals.

She sat up from her bed and pulled the black uniform out of her drawer, quickly dressing into it and chaining the gun onto her skirt and putting in a few more extra bullets. Sitting in front of the mirror, she slowly brushed her long black hair with the dim light that came through the thick black curtains. She was use to the dim light and can see everything quite clearly even in the dark, to be honest, she liked night-time much more than daytime.

When she was finally done with dressing up, and when she was going to walk to the training building for her morning training, there was a sudden and continuous knock on the door. Not even waiting for her response, the door cracked open.

With her own instinct, she pulled out her gun and gave it a few shots. In came the principal, with some sort of metal board protecting his face and his very chubby…umm…fat and round body. ‘Why do I always have to risk my life to enter your room, Layla?’ the principal complained, staring at the few little bullet holes on his ‘PROTECTION’ board. He shivered and continued. ‘Can’t you be gentler? At least I pay for your missions.’

Layla held up her gun again. ‘What do you want?’

‘New mission. Escorting the new student.’ The principal said as he handed the black envelope to Layla.

‘Rejected.’ Layla said without even looking at the letter.

‘200 units.’ The principal offered.

‘Get out of my room.’ Layla glared at him

‘400 units.’ The principal added

‘800 units.’ Layla said pulling back the black envelope and writing it into her working diary.

….what a waste….800 units…. The principal secretly sobbed.

------------------------------------------------------

Layla sat at the black sofa in the Class B classroom, drinking coffee out of her cup.

The new girl is obviously late. What was her name again? Peeking at her own working diary. Ah…Hira.

In the dark, the door slowly cracked open, and a girl popped in. With long red brown hair and light brown eyes, she looked at her surrounding, looking for any living creatures in the room. Layla smirked, quite an impressive girl, she’ll merge into Class B well.

She waited for the girl to approach her for she believed that she would soon realize, while she finishes off her last few sips of the cup. ‘Hira?’ Layla asked her voice most certain.

Maxis Dillman

Umbra scratched out the name and jotted down, 'eliminated'. It was around three in the morning when Umbra changed to her night wear, placed her headphones delicately into her ears, flopped on the bed, blasted her music and was sound asleep.

Early dawn, around five am, Umbra woke, her music shut off as she made sure it would. Grabbing her morning wear and slamming the door to her bathroom, Umbra quickly changed. Unlike the other Class B students Umbra had stripped her room of most furniture and any homely looking things. Now all that was in her room was a small table at the corner of the room with many piles of papers, a small grey couch placed in front of the once used fireplace, her small bed at its center. The rest of the room was covered in papers stapled, tapped, or nail to the walls. Papers of the men she had killed throughout her lifetime, each with a name scratched out and in big bold red marker spelled 'eliminated'. She didn't remember which of the men she killed were from her days as a bounty hunter or as a student of Diora College, but she did remember there death. Just by looking at there faces she would remember how they died with perfect vision.

Umbra flung her bathroom door open, papers floated in the air for a moment before settling down once more. Umbra was dressed in her unusual outfit for a student, a black long bounty hunter coat she acquired long before, black short sleeve shirt that was also a bullet proof vest, and long dark black pants that tightly fit her legs. Her gun placed firmly on the small of her back so she could easily get to it without much attention. Umbra maneuvered around the room until she managed to get through the stack of papers to her door. On the floor sat a letter, with the seal of Class B written.

Another job. Just what she needed. Umbra picked up the letter and shoved it into her pocket. Looking at the small mirror, the only space not covered in papers, she messed with her dark black hair with red highlights at the tips. Running her fingers through it a few times to make sure it was fine, Umbra left the room and made a right turn toward the small area she used to workout in every morning. In only a few hours she would be on another plane, bus, taxi, or boat to her next assignment. She only wished this one would lead her closer to him. Alexander Black.

"Damn I only have 10 shots..."

It will have to do he thought, pulling out binoculars and aiming them to the east. Where are the rest? But then he could hear talking from behind.

Slowly pulling out his glock Scott turned and saw it was Jason Sithe with five other men around him. He slowly walked away with the other men following.

It was perfect to the last detail.

"What the..."
All of the sudden three remote detonated c-4 exploded simultaneously.

Scott pulled out his phone to tell the boss.
"The job is done... are you there?"

"Good..." the line went dead.

"Stand up and drop your weapon." It was one of the three men. He was dead in a second.

"Run!" The man didn't even hear the shot fire as he fell to the ground.

The third one wasn't even Scott's fault; the second man's gun fired accidentally, killing his partner.

Scott was totally alone just the way he liked... he pulled the camoflauge off the dune buggy and rode to the nearest airport.

As he boarded the plane with his Starbucks coffee the man behind him knew who he was and wasn't a fan...

a perfectly aimed silenced shot to the heart with a non penetrating shot killed the man with only leaving a bruise.

Everything has gone so fast, my middle school life is over and hello, Diora College. My father said that it was good for my future and I would be able to put my abilities to good use. As I put in my shoes, my father's advisors came around with a car. I said my goodbyes to my family while my father's advisor put my luggage in the car. It wasn’t far but I was nervous. I kept rubbing the necklace that my mother gave me, she said it was for remembrance, but what made me nervous were the words that my mother had said; keep it with you at all times, because you will need it some day. It really freaked me out because I had never seen my mother so serious.

My thoughts ended when I arrived at the school; it was beautiful, and it was big.

I walked through the school dragging my luggage, and when up to the office, there was a young looking woman there.
"What can I help you with?" she asked.
"My name is Hira, can you tell me where I need to go?" I had planned this as if it were a speech, and I was nervous.
"Okay, Hira…" she was scrolling through for my name "you're in class B..." she seemed unsure, then she asked, "What colour is your uniform?" I was confused. Why would she want to know what uniform colour I was wearing, weren't they all the same?
She wrote something on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope,
"This is your class, make sure you get it right... but you need to go to your dorm first," she said, forcing a smile. I could tell that the office lady and I wouldn’t get on in future.
"Okay, thank you," I said as kindly as I could; she seemed like she was mocking me, as if I was too dumb to know where to go.

The dorms seemed further than I thought. By the time I finally reached my dorm, it was so big, I felt like I had an apartment all to myself. There was a couch, a coffee table and a big master bed. I was so happy; I was sure this school couldn’t get any better. I wanted to explore the school, but decided to start unpacking, knowing that I would probably be too lazy afterwards.
Opening up the wardrobe I realised there was a black uniform inside. For a uniform, I had to admit it wasn't nearly as deterring as I had imagined it to be. Trying it on, I was surprised to note that it was a perfect fit. However, the fact that they knew what size I was, was a bit… unnerving.
Deciding that I might explore first after all, I grabbed my black suit case, chained my gun inside my blazer, armed myself with a few knives, grabbed my key and headed out. I wandered outside, and was suddenly overcome by weariness. Sitting under a tree I leaned back and closed my eyes, but my thoughts were abruptly disturbed by a warped presence above. I leaped up, grabbing the branches and hauling myself into the tree. My left hand was poised to grab my knife while I used my right to climb.
Noticing a body, I jumped up the final distance to the branch that the body was on. It looked as if it were sleeping; he was boy a few years older than me, his presence seemed so strong my instincts were to kill him, but I controlled myself. Lowering my face closer to his, I felt the wind stir around me. And then suddenly he opened his eyes. My face went red, he was attractive when he was asleep but when he opened his eyes... they were dark brown with a tint of blue in them, and the gaze was so intense I lost my balance and slipped, starting to fall. I reached for my blazer pocket to grab a wind spell, but it didn’t seem to be working; the wind presence seemed too warped, and I was falling fast. I grabbed my knife and stabbed the tree, stopping myself from falling. I stopped, but I was hanging by one arm and there were no branches near to grab a hold of.
Then I had another sense. I reached for my gun and pointed ahead, pointing straight at the boy. He was floating in the air, the wind spinning around him handsomely; I was in awe. Then the wind shifted, swirling around me. I held onto my knife tightly, refusing to let go. I also didn’t want to pull the trigger, but didn't lower my gun. Then the wind moved up to my knife and gently began pulling it out; I was going to jump down, but I couldn’t predict the wind. I also didn’t want to kill someone on my first day.
I felt myself start to slowly drift downwards. I realised the wind was taking me down, but I still kept my guard up. I was a bit embarrassed for being so serious, but I couldn't trust anyone. I landed gently on my butt, the boy was looking at me; I was so attracted to him, but he seemed not to notice. I went red for that, he smiled mockingly and walked off. My mood ruined by the boy, I decided to go find my class.
When I finally found my classroom I was so tired, I mean this is so *insert swear word here* big. I opened the door hoping that there may be a teacher, but the room was completely dark, I was surprised because I never, been to a classroom that looked like this, there was a black velvet curtain covering the windows, only a the faintest light could get in, there were also couches, a big desk. My eyes adjusted quickly, it was one of those things that my father trained me to do since I was 3 years of age.
I could sense people inside, I poised my hand ready to reach for my knife, I stepped in, there was a girl around my age there, she looked at me in frustration. She had long black hair and a slender body, light coloured eyes that matched the black Class B uniform she was wearing.
As if I was the most hateful person in the world. Great, another bad thing happens to me again on my first day, I masked my face as if I didn’t know anything, yes, just like a new girl should, but just in case, I still kept my guard up.
"Hira?" she asked looking me in the eye with a piercing intent of killing, I could tell I've seen people like, her but since it was my first day, I wanted to make friends
"yes and you are…?" I said trailing of
"Layla, unfortunate mission of looking after you and to get you started." she said without her face blank
My face went red "look after me" I almost shouted,
She jumped out and stood a meter away, she reached to her hip and got a gun, I did the same, I reached for my gun, with both pointed it at each other, she smiled slightly
"impressive, seems like I've got some company."
"seems so" I was looking at the chain, not many people chained guns to themselves, and also the way she moved was similar to me.
She dropped her gun and I did the same, she reached a pocket pulled out a piece of paper between her index and middle finger,
"orders are orders" she said, without looking at me, she gave me the paper and I looked at it, "but if you get in my way" she continued "then I'll kill you". Although we were precisely the same level, she had something that I didn’t have. Layla had the intent of killing in her eyes. D

…lying with Miru, and Anna in the grass was a wonderful feeling; after all we were exhausted after just playing tag. We started picking up the flowers next to us, braiding them together into a wreath. It was complicated work, but our delicate fingers finished the job easily. By the time we had finished, the sun was setting, and the horizon was an ominous blood red. Anna decided that we should go home. Together the three of us ran home, wishing for a cup of hot chocolate. But the scene that we had arrived at was not the scene we were expecting. An eerie silence, was hanging over our home town. Silently, we walked to my house; Mother and Father were holding my fifth birthday party there. It was supposed to be a loud and joyful celebration… but where was the noise? The closer we got there the faster we started walking. There was no need to open the door, it simply was not there anymore, but there was something else, nailed to the wall was our parents corpses, blood was dripping from their bodies. It wasn’t a scene for three children, one at the age of five, the other at the age of seven and the eldest at the age of ten to see. The three of us stood in the doorway. Anna the eldest one, couldn’t take it anymore, she grabbed a knife and stabbed herself in the heart. I saw some movement in the corner of the room under the carpet. It turned out to be my younger sister Armellia, she was only three back then. She crawled over and was clinging to my skirt. Silently crying while the tears were running down my face I bent down and hugged Armellia and then I picked her up. Miru held my hand, took control and led us away. Then the letters came…
“Kiiiii-chaaaaaan… waaake uppppp!”
Back then, we were only five years old, but now the fifteen year old Miru was standing in front of me. “Ki-chan*, we have another mission….. And….”
“Again…? and what...” I replied, still drowsy from just being woken up.
“Your such an evil child… Ki, even your tears are black. he said with a small smile
s**t… If it wasn’t Miru who had walked in, I would’ve lost face. Who knew that past reality would still haunt me to the point where I cried. But his smile… it melted my heart. It was so rare to see him smile.
“Ahh. You doofus, it’s called mascara. Sheesh ” I said and threw my cushion at his face. He easily brushed it aside like I knew he would.
”Anyway, the target this time is” he sighed, “… Conroy.”
I stiffened up. Conroy was a mass murderer, he disappeared after murdering a whole village, ten years ago. That’s what the tabloids said… but then again, when were they ever right; it wasn’t a whole village, four survived but one committed suicide at the door.
”Seems like he has been trying to target Diora College. Baldy, must’ve remembered who left us in this state.” I laughed, evilly and gracefully leaped out of the window and ran to the school gates. Miru followed closely behind.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + +

Baka** Ki I yelled to her.
“What do you want!?!” She yelled back at me.
“Your black tears…” I paused, nearly out of breathe “they’re still all over your face.”
“Who cares! All we have to do is to find the b*****d and kill him, all we need to think about is how to make him suffer”
“I thought we were just supposed to do it quickly and swiftly.”
“He deserves it.” Ki suddenly said coldly. I blinked, that tone managed to burn me every time. ”S-sorry. I re-lived it again… that’s all”
I already knew that, she didn’t need to tell me. There was no other dream that disturbed her to the point where she ever cried. I’ve known and looked after her since forever. As if I wouldn’t know that.
“Well, when we find him, you can have fun.” She looked happy, “But you can only have five minutes” I said.
Maybe five minutes is too much, I thought as I watched her considering it.
“Deal!” she said with a big grin on her face and a thumbs up.

I kicked down the door to his hotel room and walked in with Miru behind me. Security usually sucked, especially with Miru-chan’s Infra-red goggles and brains. I smiled, revenge at last, I licked my lips, sweet, sweet revenge. But then again, wasn’t it a little silent? I had kicked the door at least five times before Miru came over and we kicked together. A total of six loud kicks, maybe Conroy had enough time to run in that time, or did we get the wrong room…? No, that’s not possible. Then I felt a piece of metal pointed at my head. I guessed it was a gun.
”Stop. Don’t move.” A gruff but slightly hysterical voice said. Miru had disappeared into the darkness of the hotel room. A scream echoed out of the bedroom, the scream of a young girl. She must have seen Miru I thought. My hair started shaking, more correctly… the man started to shake. She must be someone important to him I thought, as Miru walked out of the bedroom. As the guy holding a gun to my head held me hostage, Miru had a hostage too. I could see her, she was young, unknowing, dressed in a pink dress holding a fluffy white teddy bear.
”Ki. What are you doing, why isn’t he dead yet. “ Miru said to me
”He has my hands” I said simply not giving anything away, I sighed loudly ”But man… he must be retarded” I said trying to piss him off. It was working.
”I HAVE YOUR HANDS” he roared ”YOU CAN’T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT YOUR HANDS” the man roared. The girl whimpered and tried to run, Miru whispered something into her ear and she stiffened up.
” Aww man, your ruining my hair. You. Are. Pissing. Me. Off. “ I moved my head backwards into his head so he was temporarily dazed which meant that he couldn’t shoot and as usual they lost control due to surprise. I then grabbed one of my stars out of my earmuffs and threw it backwards at his forehead. He fell onto the floor silently. I grinned. “

+ + + + + + + + + + + + +

Another clean shot by Ki and a brilliant grin. I feel like a p3do* : to want to see her smile this much. So much for the five minute torture she was supposed to get. Now... what should I do with this girl, guessing her age I would say she is about six years old. Better her dead than have to live alone. I quickly killed her. Now the white fluffy teddy-bear was stained with blood. We left the room as it was and jumped out the window as usual. My boots were equipped with suction cups** and so were hers.

Ok, here it is finally, Jasper's POV 1, i'm sorry i didn't post earlier, please blame the stupid internet connection i hav sweatdrop anyway, soz innocentsoul, this chapter also contains part of the charater's past, so deal with it. Anyway the key for this is

Blue with italics - This is Jasper's past thoughts of when he was thinking about something

Blue with normal font - This is the present where he is thinking

The rest should be self-explanatory, so go ahead and enjoy this!! xd

x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-

It was a quiet night. A rare and peaceful one that I hardly ever got to enjoy due to the countless missions I had been sent on. The wind tousled my hair and the trees gently swayed in rhythm to the wind. Studded diamonds in the velvet sky winked sleepily at me and the moon lit up every dark corner. I glanced out at the shimmering horizon of Diora Lake and slipped into a silent reverie.

*huff huff*

I’m so tired… can’t escape…must hide…

A cacophony of roars and banters issued from the crowd as a boy, no older than 7, slipped into an abandoned church. Bolting the doors tightly shut, the boy started walking down the aisle observing his surroundings. The locked doors would help stop the crowd for a minute or two but it didn’t mean that they would give up any time soon. There was only stained glass and a big white cross in the now forgotten church. Banging on the doors could be heard and the squeak of the hinges was evident enough to tell him he didn’t have much time left to hide, let alone defend himself against the oncoming crowd of people. His eyes swept the room once more for any means of a weapon that would help him against the crowd.

“What are you looking for?”

A steel voice made the boy spin around and face a figure with black hair and grey soulless eyes.

How did I miss this man when observing the church? Where did he come from? Who is he?

Grey soulless eyes studied the little boy in front of him and after a moment he started walking towards him. The boy stared at him with caution but nevertheless stayed his ground.

“Here. Show me what you can do with these.”

A pale hand reached out to the boy. On the offered hand were a gun and a blade. Cold, calculating eyes took in the boys every movement.

A loud groan from the door reminded the two occupants that they were slowly running out of time.

The boy, ever so cautious of what was happening and of the dwindling time he now had left, slowly extended his hand and took the proffered weapons, handling them with uncertainty.

A final groan from the door and the ear-splitting crack of wood told the boy that his pursuers were finally in.

A sinister smile graced the man’s lips before he slipped back into the shadows to view the event.

t’s too late to turn back…I don’t have a choice…I can’t die here…I still need to keep my promise to…to who?

Hostile stares were sent towards the boy as the crowd surrounded him, blocking all means of escape. Knives and guns were drawn and an eerie silence settled like a fog upon the people.

The silence didn’t last long.

Soon, firing from guns and the clash of knives could be heard echoing throughout the church; however, as fast as the dissonant sounds had started, silence once again reclaimed the church.

The stained glass was now truly stained with a deep ruby colour, while the white cross was no longer white, but red. The colour of hell and evil.

For many, silence was now the only thing they could hear and black the only colour they would ever see.

But not for one.

Amongst the pile of corpses, the ruby stained windows, and the red cross stood a lone boy, smeared with the blood of those he had slain.

A clang could be heard ringing throughout the church as the gun and blade slipped from his bloody hands onto the ever-growing puddle of blood at his feet.

“Killing in a house of God, how impure. Has God abandoned you?”

The boy’s eyes swept his surroundings once again and found the man near the red cross, lighting candles and then finally settling into a mocking posture of praying to God.

“What is God… Was there ever one to begin with? If so, this God you talk about is a liar…”

The boy’s voice was a sad whisper hinting at unknown pains, hardly heard.

The cold calculating eyes swept over the small frame of the boy once again. He then got up and started walking towards the little figure.

“Well said. You just might be the right choice. Come on, we’re going.”

The boy, confused at the sudden turn of events, hesitated for a moment, unsure of what decision to make.

A smirk was plastered on the man’s face, amused by the boy’s uncertainty.

“If you don’t want to come along, you could always wait for the police to come and take you away, or you could wait for more pursuers to come and finally die…hm…that would be a spectacular event to see…well, what is your decision?”

No, I couldn’t die, neither could I get captured, I had to keep my promise… I had to keep my promise…but… my promise to who… and… what was the promise…?

“Let’s go.”

That was the day my new life began. The day where the young Jasper died, replaced by a cold and emotionless one. The day, where I walked out with that strange man, out of the house of hell…

I tried to delve deeper into my reverie, to remember memories of when I was younger, however, a dull ache started hammering against my head and I gave up trying to remember. It wasn’t important anyway… or so I had been told. Silvester, the man that had rescued me from that house that day had once told me it was futile to try and remember what was beyond my control. Instead he told me to concentrate on more important matters. He had trained me to use a gun, a blade and to use my bare hands to fight over the years I had been with him. In other words, he had taught me how to be a “perfect assassin”.

In the end, the rest of Silvester’s “candidates” had been slaughtered by me in our final test. The test to be ruthless, the test to put all our skills to use. I had felt no regret as I was left standing alone in a puddle of children’s blood; I had merely considered it as an “order” to survive.

After the test, Silvester had started sending me out on missions, and every time I never failed to carry out the requested mission. Finally, when I turned 13, Silvester had said it was finally time I could survive in a school full with dark secrets, Diora College. It had been 3 years since I attended Diora and my pile of missions hadn’t lessened, instead it seemed have grown. I had made a friend called Layla, another ruthless assassin, in my spare time, but I hardly got to see her, due to our busy schedules. She too had once told me the past was the past and it was stupid to try and remember it when it was probably full of sad memories.

Still, my past bothered me from time to time. When I tried to remember my memories from when I was younger than 7, it was like crashing headlong into a black wall and I had to give up after some time seeing that it was futile. However, somewhere in the deepest recesses of my mind, something told me that those past memories were important and I had to try to remember them. The pendant I wore around my neck seemed to be an important link to my past, but I didn’t know how they were connected. All I remembered about it was that it had been with me for as long as I could remember and it was important to me because of a promise with someone.

A slight rustling of leaves suddenly snapped me back to reality.

Pulling two short daggers out of my coat and keeping them concealed from whoever or whatever was behind the bushes, I swung them without warning at the noise with a flick of a wrist without looking away from the lake. It was too late for the victims to move, and the satisfying thunk of my daggers against trees and startled gasps told me my daggers had scored something. Judging from the sound of that gasp, I had a good idea of who it was.

“…Layla…”

I turned around and stared into calm light brown eyes. Those light brown eyes stared right back without fear and my guess had been right, it was Layla. After walking slowly towards her, I unearthed my dagger from her black coat.

“How unusual… aren’t you supposed to be busy with a mission?” I questioned and then suddenly I heard grunting. Suddenly spinning around, I stared into another pair of light coloured eyes. One of my daggers was also imbedded into her black blazer and I realised she had been the other person with Layla, the one who had gasped as well and also the one who had made the leaves rustle.

I raised an eyebrow in confusion for I had never seen this girl around the school before and I looked towards Layla for an explanation.

“My unfortunate mission.” Layla pointed a finger towards the new girl and I understood why she wasn’t off somewhere on the other side of the planet. I switched my attention back to the new girl and observed her quietly for a second or two before she broke the silence.

“Um… nice to meet you, my name’s Hira. Let’s be friends.”

She was shy and uncertain of her moves. I glanced at Layla once more and saw she had a look of utter boredom. What an odd pair… but I was sure sooner or later they would get along.

“Jasper”

That one word made Hira’s eyes brighten and I thought that maybe she was a bit too soft and kind to be an assassin. She would have hard times ahead. Turning to head back to my room I was stopped by Layla’s voice.

“Jasper, before you go back to your room, you should pay a visit to Baldy. Baldy told me to tell you that you have a new mission waiting and that he wants to see you as soon as possible. That’s all.”

When I turned back, ready to ask Layla what this mission was, I found myself standing alone. Apparently, Layla and Hira had already left on their new mission to who knows where. I sighed; Layla was always an impatient one, one that always wanted to complete her job in the shortest amount of time possible.

Bracing myself against the cold, I tucked the two daggers back inside my coat pocket, and started to head towards Baldy’s office.

-Baldy’s Office –

“Well, Jasper, what do you think?” the principal eyed me while sucking on an ice-cream.

“What do you mean by what do I think? Think about what? Is it about the fact that I think you’re going to get tooth decay from eating too much ice-cream and also gain extra pounds of fat?” I asked in a tone of boredom.

“Geez, Jasper, I swear you and Layla are alike. You hurt me mentally with your words, while she hurts me physically with her gun, I can’t have a safe conversation with neither of you!” the principal pouted.

I eyed him and wished that I was on the mission with Layla instead of Hira. Seeing that the principal wasn’t getting anywhere, I started to get up and leave.

“Wait, Jasper, ok, ok, it was a joke. I’ve got a new mission for you from a client and I’ve also got your guardian, Silvester’s, approval for this mission. The pay’s 1000 units. What do you think of that?”

It wasn’t as bad as previous missions I had been on, but Baldy still hadn’t told me what exactly I needed to do in this mission and maybe I could get a higher pay.

“2500 units”

“Are you crazy??!! You really are like Layla, both of you steal my precious money! How about 1500 units?” the principal offered.

“Then forget about the mission. The least I can accept is 2000 units, it’s either that or I won’t work.” The stubbornness in my voice told the principal he had lost in that argument.

“Fine, fine.” The principal grumbled while secretly inside he sobbed at the fact of losing more money to Jasper.

A smile spread on my face as I saw the obvious reluctance of parting with his money on Baldy’s face. “Ok, then let’s hear this mission.”

An evil smile suddenly appeared on Baldy’s face replacing the sombre mask he had on a while ago. Maybe, I shouldn’t have taken on this mission. Seeing, the principal’s face, I knew I wouldn’t like it much.

“Your mission this time, Jasper, is simply to assassinate all the living members of the Astelle family.”

Ok… maybe it wasn’t as terrible as I’d imagine it, but why that evil smile? I had a feeling that Baldy hadn’t finished talking and that what he was about to say next would be bad. Wanting to leave this office as fast as possible I summarised the mission he had talked about so far

“You want me to kill all the members of the Prime Minister’s family? Ok… no problem, I’ll leave for the mission tomorrow. Good night sir.”

Just as I was leaving, Baldy shouted after me.

“Jasper, I’ve decided to make your job easier and I’ve decided to invite their daughter, Charisma Astelle, to this school. Here, you will be her bodyguard and follow her around 24-7. So basically, all you’re going to go tomorrow is go to Class A and follow her around. Once you gain her trust, you can then kill her off and the rest of her family members should be a piece of cake to kill. Well then, have fun, and good night.”

That stupid Baldy. Damn it. I knew I would hate the 2nd half of the mission; it would have been much easier to have killed her outside of school grounds. As the door swung close on the principal, bellows of laughter could be heard from within.

I stomped back crossly towards my room, envying Layla for getting the easier mission and wishing that I was in her place taking care of the new student, Hira. I slammed the door shut and collapsed onto my bed, and a sudden image of Baldy celebrating in finding out that he had actually discovered a mission of which I was incapable of fulfilling popped into my mind. Gritting my teeth in anger, I took out a dagger and threw it at the wall pretending it was the Baldy’s face. Damn it. I won’t give up. I’ll do this mission. As sleep overtook my weary eyes and body, the last thought I had in mind was:

Just you wait, Baldy, I’ll show you I can handle this mission…

x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-x-o-

Okay, then, about the pendant here's a website if you wanna see what the pendant looks, Jasper's part of the pendant is the moon-shaped one, and the other pendant will come into one of my character's story sooner or later!!! Yup so here's the link:

http://i1.iofferphoto.com/img/1130223600/_i/8816566/1.jpg

Ok... secondly, Claz ur story rox, it's funny!!!!!! xd and um.. btw i'm not making a male character for Jasper's POV because it's too annoying to go and create another character, so use ur creative imagination to think how Jasper would look like~~ So i'll continue posting Jasper's POV with this account. OK, that should be all and Claz, hope u have fun re-drawing the plan of Diora College!!! xd

As Miru and I walked to Baldy’s office to confirm that he had given us our 6oo units. We kicked down the door as usual, except this time it flew out the window and took the window with it. Then we heard a big sigh.
”If I didn’t move away, my poor ice-cream would have gone out the window along with my door…”
”And so would you” I said under my breath.
He sighed again, ”Don’t you have any other methods of coming in without breaking down the door?”
”Nope.” Miru said, I had forgotten that he was there. Then I noticed that he was holding that same fluffy white… now blood stained teddy-bear that that girl was holding until he killed her.
”So, what do you want? Your interrupting my precious time with my ice-cream you know.” Baldy spooned some more ice-cream into his fat little mouth.
”Did we each get our 3oo units?” I asked.
”Yup” and he spooned more ice-cream into his mouth ”Anything else?”
”Keep eating ice-cream… And you’ll get fat… And die.” said Miru and he motioned for me to go.
”Keep kicking down my door and I’ll start deducting units from your account~! I also believe that you are not wearing school uniform~~” he sang as we left his office.
”b*****d!” I turned around and gave him the finger.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + +

After watching Baldy chuckling at Ki’s behaviour, I turned and watched as Ki continued to swear. I followed her not knowing where she was going. Although a few minutes later we turned up at the window outside our room. Ki went and jumped through the window, I followed*. Our room consisted of a window, two bunk beds [bed on top, table on bottom], a big shelf, a table, a bean-bag, wheelie chair and Ki’s black rabbit plushie with its beady red eyes. All of these items were either black or grey. The whitest thing in the room was currently my newly collected bloody white teddy-bear which I stored in my shelf. There is no door because of our breaking down door habit. So we simply get in and out via the window.
” We should go to the training area and train some more. Besides why did you let that guy touch you?” I asked ”After all, it was Conroy. Remember? The guy we hate?”
” It was Conroy – he is dead remember? I killed him… but I wanted to show my new skills…besides he died in the end “ she replied and started rummaging around the table for something.
” Aha! Found it!” she held up our work diaries. I quickly scribbled in:
16//o6//2oo8
Conroy
Units:3oo
”I wonder why he was staying at that hotel after all. Isn’t there something dodgy about that… “
”I wonder…” she said, obviously she wasn’t listening. I gave up.
”Let’s go to the classroom.”
”Okay” I replied
Together we walked towards the classroom. It seemed like there was commotion in the classroom. We could hear furniture being moved about half a corridor.
”I bet someone is making trouble again” I said
”Mmhmm, And I have a pretty good idea of who it is. Baldy’s calendar. Did you see it?”
”No, what was on it?”
“New student in Class B.”
”Hmm… Really?”
”Yup, and the best thing is, she’s being looked after by Layla.”
”Serious. “
”Yup”
”Ha ha ha ha, Knowing Layla, she’s going to give that kid hell.”
Ki turned around and looked at me with a strange expression. I think it was because I laughed. But her face softened up kind of like it melted for a second. Then her emotionless face was back again. I sighed.
” Let’s check out how bad the classroom looks now” I said
”Mmhmm” she replied
And once again, we kicked down the door.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + +

Upon kicking down the door, it just turned out it was the other students fixing up the room.
”That sucks…” Miru murmured behind me, ”I was hoping for some action.”
”Me too.” I replied ”Me too… UGH this really sucks.”I said, again scaring some of the other students. After all, cleaning up was something to be done in silence and we just kicked down the door and I had this habit of not changing facial expressions as I yelled.
”Hhmph.. this really really sucks”I sighed. ”No way in hell I’m staying here.”
I turned around to look for Miru and he wasn’t there. Scanning the room, I found him sitting at our desk. I walked over to him.
”Any missions?” I asked
”Yeh…”
”What?”
”This guy…”
He held up a letter. On it read:
2008-06-16
Conroy
800 units
”But... we just… s**t. Who the hell did we just kill?”I yelled, once again scaring these students. Why was I in a class with all these failures? They probably got demoted to the point where they just had to kill cats and dogs. Suits the new girl… Suddenly Miru placed his hand on mine.
”Ki-chan” he whispered into my ear. I stiffened, I wasn’t used to Miru being so close ”I’ll let you take it out on Baldy, let’s go.”When he leaned away, I saw his face was slightly flushed as if he wasn’t used to being so close either. This time he took the lead and I followed and once again we were in front of Baldy’s desk and he was still happily eating ice-cream. Honestly I swear this guy uses some kind of infinite ice-cream code or he was bribing the Class D people to make him ice-cream for free units. I slammed both fists on his table.
”What is the meaning of this.” I hissed and threw the letters on his table.
”Don’t break my table too Kitty~” he sang as he took out another bucket of ice-cream. When did this guy ever sing…? I hope he doesn’t take lessons. Besides… that chair looks like it’s going to break, I thought noticing all the empty ice-cream buckets lined up neatly around his wall.
”We just killed fricking Conroy, fricking yesterday, and we got our fricking money for it, you fricking-“ I said all of this with a calm face. Baldy looked unnerved. Stupid. Fat. Principal.
”Chill Ki-chan, chill.” Miru had come up behind me. ”So tell me, which Conroy did we kill?”
”His son.” he replied, a short answer. That was new.
”But his son is so old.”I said
”Maybe he got married at a young age.”
Ew. I turned around to leave but before I saw the exit, the view outside the window caught my eye. Was that Jasper, Layla… and possibly the new girl? What were they doing there… I know the lake has a good view. But honestly, Baldy can spy on you there… especially if you’re a girl. Perverted b*****d. I had this feeling that Layla and Jasper knew I was looking at them so I turned around. As soon as I saw the door, I suddenly felt some intense killing intent behind me. I also heard the drop of a cup and a squeal… of terror, in the principal’s office? But I grabbed my dagger anyway and back flipped a few feet before realizing Baldy was just terrified about not having ice-cream to eat. I sighed.
”Stupid Human” Miru said
”Hey Miru, you’re human too you know~” Baldy sang to him
”I’m human, but not as pathetic as you.” Miru replied as we jumped out the window. I think we unnerved the new girl, for some reason Baldy’s office is three stories high… I could still feel Layla’s killing intent, it wasn’t nice – we weren’t standing that far away. The three of them watched us as we walked out to our room’s window and flew back in.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + +

”Ten years we’ve been here and we still haven’t gotten over her killing intent.” I said
”Just shows how good she is at doing it” Ki-chan replied.
I watched as she grabbed her rabbit and sat down gracefully in the bean-bag. I stayed sitting on the window; there was a nice breeze today. But I could feel a new gaze watching me from on the floor. I closed my eyes as I let the previous missions events wash over me. I got to the point where we were looking up at the hotel. The name of the hotel was Caramel Tops. Now I remembered where it was from, Caramel Tops was the name of our dodgy little village that was massacred. Now why was there a hotel built up there by the same name and that kid… that little girl in the pink dress, she had tried to tell me something as I held her hostage… what did she say again…? I couldn’t recall it. No doubt it would come back eventually. I got off the window and climbed onto my bed as I was trying to think of what that girl had said: for…Ki…Mi…danger…teddy… she kept repeating that to me and glancing out the window at the end of the four words.
What was the number of that hotel room again?
Ki opened her eyes Uhm… the one we killed Conroy and that girl in? I nodded 463
Let’s go back later
O…kay… Ki yawned, she was obviously exhausted after all yelling. I was quiet as I watched her sleep. I kept repeating for…ki…mi…danger…teddy. Because teddy was in that sentence, I had taken her teddy bear after I killed her there was also another reason I had taken that bear, it had reminded me of something but I could not recall what.
But there was something different about that girl, she was my only victim that smiled as I took her life. I gasped as I realised something. It wasn’t for…ki…mi…danger…teddy…. It was really Four-Ki-Miru-Danger-Teddy.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + +

Just if you were wondering…. Yes these two kids have issues with the door. They don’t like them. Every door has been kicked down except the one in their room.
*No Ki and Miru CAN’T fly. They just tend to enjoy jumping out of third story windows because they can land without breaking anything[bones] and they have special mechanisms like Ki’s umbrella handle which is actually a Graphing Hook to get back in the third story window..
OhEmGee desu. How many ice-creams does Baldy have >< he’s insane. I tried to sum up what I knew about baldy. Baldy:
1. is fat
2. is bald
3. is nick-named Baldy
4. Some-what perverted
5. is scared of his students
6. likes to annoy his students
7. is the principal of Diora College
8. obviously has some perverse obsession with ice-cream
9. is killed nearly every time he meets with a Dorm B student.
10. is often bullied into paying more units than necessary for one mission.
- Honestly there is not much here based on only Dorm B Baldy personalities…
And yes desu~ I changed the colour of my font. I thought that light pink paragraphs are kinda hard to read. One worded light pink bumps aren’t though =O
> Ri-chan // I’ve decided to design your school on paper =) I’ll take a photo of it later okay =O
> Stephy-chan // Thankyuu Stephy-chan blaugh I actually drew another one =D I'm so happy =D Show you later its on black paper blaugh
