BATTLEFIELD RANDOMIZER! The arrow spins around and around, until it finally stops on...
THE ICE FIELD!
The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

Starting her battles confidently as always, Jackie walked out to the stadium, Ferrum at her side. Crossing her arms for warmth, Jackie pulled her scarf around a bit tighter. "Are you ready to go, Ferr? It'll be slippery, so watch out!"
Ferrum nodded slightly before leaping off of the Trainer platform. The ice cracked as her powerful claws hit the ground, but it didn't break. Peering across the stage, Ferrum strained her eyes to see her opponent.

Alexa walked to her trainer box and slid on the ice. "Whoa!" She said flailing her arms. She caught her balance and got to her box. She shivered and pulled her scarf tighter then zipped up her coat. She then drew out her pokeball and threw it in the air. A red beam appeared taking the form of a wolf. Vincent shook himself as soon as he was out. Alexa looked towards her opponent and waved. "Hi there! I'm Alexa and this is Vincent!"
Vincent looked around while yawning. He then stretched before spotting Ferrum. He looked at the Cranidos sizing her up. He then studied the field instantly disliking all of the ice. He was tempted to melt it all right now.

Alexa didn't want the battle to take too long and she didn't want to freeze so she immediately yelled out an attack. "Vincent use Flamethrower!"
Vincent ran towards Ferrum and slid on the ice. Once he was closer and about to slid past Ferrum and into a pillar of ice he used flamethrower. Flames erupted from his mouth in a straight path to the Cranidos.

Jackie waved back to the friendly trainer. "I'm Jackie, and this is Ferrum! Are you ready for a battle you won't easily forget?"
Ferrum leaped out of the way of the flamethrower, but her talons slipped easily on the ice, throwing her to her face. She scowled as her back was singed by the flamethrower, but the damage wasn't too bad. Turning to face her opponent, she waited for Jackie's command.
"I guess they like to play hardball!" Jackie yelled to Ferrum. "Try a Crunch attack!"
Ferrum half-slid and half-ran to the Growlithe, her jaws open wide to take a huge bite out of Vincent.

"Nice to meet you Jackie!" Alexa called out with a wave. She smiled as she turned her attention back to the battle. She watched as Vincent slid into the ice pillar. "Watch out! Ferrum is going to get you!" She cried out knowing it was going to be too late.
Vincent hit the ice pillar then turned to see Ferrum on top of him. He tried to scramble out of the way but his claws couldn't get enough of a grip. Ferrum's attack got him right on the hind leg and tail. "Growl!" He roared turning on his opponent. His mouth glowed red as flames wrapped around his teeth. He then went to bite down on Ferrum using his Fire Fang.

Ferrum grunted in surprise as the growlithe twisted and turned, bumping her bones into the ice. Tussling desperately, Ferrum tried to pin down the wolf-like pokemon, but her efforts were futile. Pain struck her numb tail as the fiery teeth of Vincent found their mark. "Craaan!" she cried out, letting go of the growlithe's tail and leg. Rage overcame her bright green eyes as she finally managed to pin the Growlithe. Slamming her tail against the ice, she executed a tough earthquake attack right under Vincent.
"Awesome strategy! I'm impressed, Alexa!" Jackie called, watching the battle between their pokemon. "But watch this!"

Vincent tried to get away but was pinned down. After struggling for a minute the full force of the earthquake attack hit him making him fall in between the ice. He scrambled back up and slid away from Ferrum. "Growl. Growlithe!"
"Thanks but that was all Vincent. He doesn't like for his tail to be bitten." Alexa called with a laugh. She then watched Ferrum's attack and whistled. "Impressive." She said before yelling to Vincent, "Ember!"
Vincent crouched down then leaped into the air towards the Cranidos. He opened his mouth and shot small flames at Ferrum.

Turning to concentrate on the battle, Jackie didn't respond as she watched Ferrum burned on her forearms and chest by the Growlithe's ember. "Ferrum, let's try something new! Shockwave!" Concentrating, Ferrum's green eyes glowed bright yellow. Roaring with power, a paralyzing electric shock radiated out from her. "Crawwwn-dos!" she growled as the electricity raced towards Vincent. 400/700 Quote: First off, like everything else in battle roleplay, this is determined by dice roll! But let me explain which status effects are currently allowed to be used by the pokemon trainers. Poison: This can last from one turn to all four turns of the dice roll. Attacks like Toxic, poison sting, Poison Jab, etc...can knock off 50 HP each turn, along with that opposing pokemons' regular attack. Stun: Which this doesn't knock off HP, your pokemon will be unable to move or attack from one to four turns, depending on the dice rolled. Ice: Same as Stun in terms of effect. Burn: Same as Poison in terms of effect. ~~~ As for the dice roll, you may NOT roll for a status effect and then a regular attack in one turn! The status roll will take up that turn, you may attack on your next turn however. Player rolls two four sided die: The first determines whether or not the attack has any effect what-so-ever. Rolls an even number: No effect on the opposing pokemon. Odd: Attack makes contact. The second die rolled is used if the attack makes contact with the opponent. It determines how many turns the effect lasts. ((I need to post this so I don't forget the rules. XD ))

"Vincent dodge it!" Alexa cried out. She watched as Vincent landed from his jump and slid across the ice. He ended up putting himself into a spin and spun out of the way of the attack. "Great job..... I think.... I don't think he did that on purpose. Lucky guy." She called out starting to mumble to herself, "Go use Bite!"
After Vincent stopped spinning and sliding he ran/slid back towards Ferrum. Once he was in range he opened his jaws wide ready to bite.

Ferrum roared in pain as the Growlithe bit deep into her tail, his teeth ripping her skin. Tussling and turning to throw him off, she finally did. Inspecting her tail, she gritted her teeth against the dizziness that comes with blood loss. Turning towards her opponent bravely, she prepared herself for her next attack.
Jackie looked on in horror as Ferrum wasn't able to dodge the attack in time. "Ferrum, you're going to have to try another Shockwave- make sure it doesn't miss this time!"

Vincent was thrown back and slid into an ice pillar. He heard his trainer cheer him on before he caught what the other trainer said. He quickly scrambled to the side of the pillar and out of the path of the other Shockwave attack. He then turned towards Ferrum growling but wagging his tail.
"Alright Vincent! That was great! Use Flamethrower this time." Alexa called. She then watched as the flames erupted out of Vincent's mouth.

Ferrum was thrown back against an ice pillar, the flames burning her once more. Luckily her hide was tough, but the burns were still pretty painful. Struggling to her feet, she faced the Growlithe once more.
"We've gotta buy more time!" Jackie thought, watching as Ferrum fell back again under flames. "Ferrum, you're going to have to try another Shockwave!"
Ferrum charged once more, but this blast wasn't as strong as the others. Stomping her left foot against the ground, an electrical wave shot out to the Growlithe.
