a giagantic forest of bamboo.
the bamboo shades the sun and the thickness varies. few paths are made through and it is easy to get lost.

Kenji appeared out of nowhere in the forest. Sunlight danced upon his skin and it's rays brought his shadow out from hiding, but as soon as his shadow came out, it would quickly disappear into another dark corner of shade. The soft earth silenced his footsteps and smooth gusts of wind floated through the air, rattling the bamboo like wind chimes. The only other sounds were emptiness and beauty.

Hiro was walking through the forest looking up at the tall shoots of bamboo.
He draws his sword and slashes a stock multiple times with amazing speed.
It takes a few seconds before the bamboo falls to pieces.
Hiro then practices his balance by jumping ontop of the bamboo shoots and jumps from one to the next.

Noticing the other shinobi training, Kenji decides to train his balance as well. Kenji searched around for a fairly thick shoot of bamboo. Kenji began climbing it. As soon as Kenji reached the top, he began to do handstand push ups

yuri stands at the the end of the bamboo. he draws his sword before walking into the grove. he stops in a small clearing. Dead bamboo leaves slowly float and drift to the ground. his footsteps crackle and crunch over the bamboo stalks, and he pushes aside the ones still desperately reaching for the sun. he walks, his mind absent of his surroundings, lost within himself he sits agains a giant stalk and pulls out a flask.

Kenji stops doing push ups and gazes towards the edge of the forest. he sees the silhouette of the other shinobi sticking into the giant orange sun. his figure slowly disappears and reappears with the gentle swaying of the bamboo in the wind. Kenji drops from his perch and begins to walk over to the clearing, but he keeps his muscle tense as he doesn't know what to expect

yuri continues to drink, untill the flask is empty. his cheeks haze red and his eyes dim as he becomes drunk. he sits watching the bamboo sway.
"what are you doing here mist ninja?"yuri says just before kenji comes through the entrance of the clearing. it is night in the bamboo, but rays of light still shine through, yuri tips his flask over and shakes it, nothing comes out, he returns it to his pocket and watches kenji. yuri keep a hand on a kunai.

Kenji slowly stepped into the clearing. He gently lowered himself to the ground before he began groping behind his back for his flask of wine. Once he grabbed it, he took a giant swig before resting it on his leg. "I could ask you the same question,"replied Kenji,"Since it is a beautiful day I decided to train here." Kenji grabbed the flask and tossed it through the air, watching it land at the other ninja's feet."So why are you here?" The wine began taking its effects, making Kenji's mind grow heavy, and his eyelids slightly droop.

yuri looks at the flask."looking for a place to get away is all."he sits and remembers shinsuke, dai, his parents, and all of his other fellow ninja fallen before him.
yuri takes a swig of the wine then passes it back."im more of a sake person myself but it doesnt matter after the first glass."he jokes.

"Well, well...... Look who's not dead." Hiro says standing ontop a tall stock of bamboo.
He jumps down and walks up to Yuri and Kenji.
"So, how have you two been? I kinda thought you might have died Yuri. Since I haven't seen you in so long. And Kenji, we haven't actually met in person, but you did introduce yourself to one of my clones."
Hiro smiled.
"Oh ya, Yuri. Even though this guy's a mist ninja, don't worry, he's cool."
Hiro chuckles a bit and sits down.

Kenji took another swig from the flask and looked at Hiro,"I assume it has nothing to do with the alcohol. It must be something else." Kenji replied.

yuri isnt over shinsuke's death. infact he is far from it, the fact that hiro, shinsuke and his friend shows little concern over his or his brothers wearabouts pisses him off. the fact that he is drunk adds to this...
"dont worry about it. you seem to be good at that."yuri says coldley as he stands up and walks away in a swaying line around the bamboo.

Hiro does not know about Shinsuke's death and so doesn't understand why Yuri is so upset.
"Umm...... okay..... Hey, Kenji, you want to have a sparing match down by the river?"
