How long had it been since she was here with Lakota? Kione wasn't sure, the days were such a blur now...
Ever since stumbling upon his cave, she had found a second home. Every once in a while, she would return to Rackna's pride and serve her duties to the King...but she would always come back to Lakota's home. Settled near to the lake, she looked out at the tranquil waters, her tail waving lightly. She felt at peace here, and wondered about the future. Between her and Lakota, it was blurry and unsure. Suddenly, she began to think of him...
Lakota, a wolf among lions. He was cold, dominating, dangerous...and yet to her he could be sweet, charming, caring...even a bit romantic. But was this all for her? He didn't seem to interact with others...and what about when she went away? What did he do when she was gone? Shaking the thoughts from her mind, Kione righted herself up, shaking the dust from her coat. She would have to go hunting soon. Lakota was going to be hungry, and he would need a good meal. As she headed out toward the forests, she wondered what to get for him this time...

Lakota had just woken up, in a bad mood. A nightmare haunted his head while he slept, one about the fire, he hated it. The male paced back and forth, his muscles moved slightly noticed under him, his slightly shaggy coat moved with his movements.
He was surprised by Kione's and his attraction... It was something he was not used to, the caring of another. At times when she went back to her pride he found it unbearable, waiting for her to come back but he got over it, strolling around, trying to not kill anyone with out reason. He mostly avoided others, he wasn't the most social.
He wandered out of his den and sat down in front of the den. His nose turned up to the air. He purred slightly, Kione must had been out getting somthing to eat. It brought a small smile to his face.

Kione was currently stalking a small group of wildebeest. It seemed that there was a calf in their midst - a lame. She kept her eyes locked, lookingover at the mother every now and then. As the herd began to move, Kione crept closer and closer, her senses going overboard.
With a curl of her tail, she sprang. Her claws hooked to the calf's rump, it cried out for its mother. The much larger female looked over at her child's assailant, and went rampant. Kione leapt away for a moment before circling the bleeding child. The mother charged, and Kione jumped out of the way, her jaws once more seizing the calf's throat. With an effort, she leapt out of the way, but not before getting a horn in her back leg. Wincing, she fell, but forced herself to keep running. Slowly, she got back to Lakota's territory, the calf half alive. Dropping the half-dead carcass, she proceeded to finish the suffocation process, her own tired, dirty, and sweat drenched body wanting to pass out itself. Kione winced as the pain in her left worsened, the bleeding seeming to flow on and on forever. But she kept going...
Someone was at home waiting for her...and he would be hungry.

Lakota let out a small chuff out into the land. Kione was normally back by now. He looked up at the sky then scanned the horizon. Even though it was not shown through his golden eyes or his body language he was worried, very worried.
He huffed and went back to pacing, every now and again he would look back out. When he finnaly noticed the gray and black figure he waited before wandering over. He wasn't going to at first like he normally didn't but she was walking slightly slower, with her pace seeming slightly slower.
"Kione?" He asked in his gruff voice. He looked at her and noticed the gash in her back leg. He grunted as he licked her maw. "You eat first... I'll eat here, don't strain yourself anymore." He sat down next to the calf watching it and her.

As the calf slowly died away, Kione unclenched her death jaws from it's windpipe. In a tired effort, she tried to get up, but only succeeded in falling onto her bad leg. She let out a whine of hurt, looking over at Lakota. "I'll be fine. You eat first...Lord Lakota..." She closed her eyes in an effort to rest, her body shivering with cold as the wound began to clot over slowly. Kione, however, was still weak from the vast amount of blood having been lost.

Lakota looked her over arching a brow while he circled her. "No, don't be stuborn, eat what you can." He nudged her then sat down next to her protectivly. His top lip was curled up into a small snarl, the skin over his spine twitched. "I'm not in the mood for the stuborness." He eyed her for a moment before looking around, putting on his harsh front.

She nodded. "Yes, m'Lord." Not wanting to anger him anymore, she slowly began to eat, careful to leave the best parts for him. Her tail curled around, instinctively covering her bad leg. She chewed at the meat ever so slowly, letting it slide down her throat. Slowly, she began to feel better, most of the sting gone, but still there slightly. Kione continued to quietly eat, her ears flicking and gaze never leaving Lakota's harsh eyes.

Lakota smiled, but it only lasted a moment. He watched her like a hawlk before moving across from her and starting to tear into it gently, well as gently as he could be. Between bites he would look up at her then went back to eating. "Do you need help getting the rest of the way home? I can help you." He was finished he backed away slightly, he would leave what ever was left over for the hyena's, the closest things around here to wolves... he didn't even like them one bit.

Finishing her meal as well, the female began to clean at her maw and forepaws in an effort to get the blood off. Standing, she winced a little, but managed to start walking on three of her legs, the back one slightly hanging. "I...I think I can make it..." She panted, started out for the den, but almost fell, trying to hold herself on her won. She didn't want to become a burden upon Lakota...
And what of hunting? She whined slightly, knowing she had failed him somehow.

Lakota grunted when she almost fell. He walked up to her bad side and leaned against her just slightly, giving her a chance to use him to support her weight. He strolled slowly to keep up with her pace. "I'm fine with helping you Kione."
Unlike others he wasn't a 'softy' didn't call anyone 'hun' or 'love' He did have a, very, soft spot for Kione, but he called her by her name. He refused to call her anything else no matter how much he liked her.

Kione was slightly shocked, but she kept pace with him. Managing to make her way to the den, she slightly hopped forward inside to her side of the den. The cool stone floor seemed to soothe her slightly. Looking up to Lakota, she nodded her head "I thank you, m'Lord. I do appreciate your help..." She smiled, her eyes alive with gratitude and something else...

[[Something else? o,o *Insert dramatic music?*
XD]]
Lakota grunted and moved around her looking her over once more. He sighed and licked her wound softly before laying down next to her not talking. He licked the top of her maw and looked out the cave his mind wandering slightly. "I was worrying about you." He grunted again and leaned closer to her sightly, keeping the same rock hard composure.

(( ::le gasp:: O.o ))
Kione blushed a little as he gave her a once over. Clearly this male wasn't up to losing his prized huntress just yet. Once he was done with his inspection, she rested her head against his maned neck, her tail curled over in content. "I appreciate your kindness, m'Lord. Hopefully..when I am healed enough, I can go out hunting again to please you, Lord Lakota..." Her eyes closed in content as she purred in relaxation.

Lakota let out a faint smile across his maw when she rested her head on his mane. He looked around for a moment then relaxed slightly. "Kione don't worry about it I can hunt for myself some times." He muttered slightly, then he snorted. "You know.... I have a soft spot for you Kione..." He looked up, his gaurd was down for the moment, he was like this a few rare times with Kione. He nodded slightly and crossed his front paws.
