Victor was bored more bored then he had ever been. Boredom could be a dangerous thing, specially with males. You never know what they may end up doing. From stupid stunts to fights, there was no end to what they would think fun if for only a few moments.
Kicking a stone lazily with his hoof, he traveled a long the riverbank. With a snort he looked across the land beside him. Where was his brother? His sister? His father? ....He knew where his mother was, but frankly didn't care. How had he gone from the one who wanted family the most, to the one whom was alone? He didn't even know that he was a uncle! With a sudden rush of anger he kick the stone sending it with a loud clunk into a tree trunk.

Aveshar threw his head up as the rock bounced off the tree he had been grazying beyond, nearly whacking him in the nose. He snarled in fury, wings flaring. "Watch it!" He snapped acidicly, striding from the shadows and fixing his gaze on the guilty party. Who the heck was this? He'd never seen the stallion -or even anyone that could be considered a relative- before, why would the male have a grudge against him? Aveshar wasn't prone to believing in mistakes. "Do you mind telling me why you tried to take my nose off? I'd like to know before I pluck your feathers..."

Victor blinked as he heard a voice, he took his gaze off the ground. Oh great, what fresh hell had the day brought him? At first Victor was throw off by Aveshar's sudden anger.
"I'm sorry it was an....."
Victor was not one to apologize and that had just caught up with him. Snarling his and showing his teeth and stomping a hoof at the mention of plucking his feathers.
"It hit the tree not your precious tender little snout! I'd like to see you try, you curly headed excuse for a demon!"

Aveshar laughed and lowered his head, the sun glinting on his cruelly curled horns. This lad had courage, that much was true... Foolish, pointless courage. He moved further into the light, baring his teeth at the challenge. "I am no excuse for a demon, little bird... I am a demon, since you no doubt lack the brains to recognize it, I'll make it simple..." He snapped his tail, breaking several branches from the tree, and strode a little closer. "We can kill you... And if you do not watch yourself, I'll take great pleasure in dining on your felsh as you scream for the end..."

Victor smiled oddly, a cure for his boredom for sure! It didn't matter the out come, if he failed to win or at least tie which he doubted, the only one to miss him would be his mother.
"If you must prove yourself by breaking a tree then you must not be very confident. If you are as good as a demon as you say you are you would not send so much time talking." Victor mocked standing his ground.
"We? Is that what demons do? Refer to themselves as one entity in attempt to feel that you belong to something? Getting me to scream for anything seems highly unlikely, only those afraid to face the end scream for their time lost on earth."
With a flare of his wings Victor charged, he was not new to fighting. If his mother taught him anything it was certainly that. Victor aimed to take advantage of the stallions long curly mane and he made for a grab of it with his teeth.

Aveshar laughed as he reared up out of reach, his height considerable even when compared to a large winged-breed... Kalona's were often larger, more powerful... He was no exception. Striking out with his forelegs, he made an effort to keep the stallion from tearing at his mane. "There's so little reward in eating someone who doesn't deserve it right off... I like to offer a little warning... When they run, it's so much more entertaining... As far as the tree goes, if my tail does that, what could my teeth do to you, I wonder?" He laughed. "Suicidal colts rarely entertain me for long... But if you're sooo eager to end it, I might have no choice but to ignore you completely..." He snapped his teeth at the stallions wings, aiming to break the fragile bones.

The next move was one his mother taught him, it was bold and almost stupid, but it worked if not to catch the other off guard. Instead of backing from the rear that the other stallion made. He ran into it, ducking low hoping to miss the hooves before throwing himself into a rear with his powerful wing bursting down wards as though he was taking off into flight. This move was meant to throw an oppenant of there balance, it worked best with non fliers, but it still worked on those with wings. Aveshar's teeth missed Victor's wings, but a hoof met firmly on Victor's back. It hurt but it was nothing to stop an adrenalin full bored stallion.
"You talk to much!" Was as Victor said in reply.

Aveshar laughed as he back-winged, taking a strike from what he thought was the other stallion's head in the belly before he got out of reach. Fortunate, if he hadn't had wings, he probably would have lost some flesh to the other's teeth or hooves. "You should be grateful I didn't kill you instantly." He taunted. "If the worst I do is talk 'too much', you at least will be alive."

"There you go running your lip again." Victor laughed flapping his wings again so that he was drifting in the air. If there was one place other stallions shouldn't challenge him it would be in the air. While his mother preferred fighting on the ground he spent most of his time in the air.
Victor flapped his wings and lifted further into the air before taking a dive aiming his hooves for Aveshar's head.

"I have worse flaws." Aveshar promised silkily, laughing as he remained on the ground, darting for the cover of the trees. When it was safe he leapt into the sky, powerful flaps carrying him high. He soared toward the other stallion, moving like a bird of prey, graceful and deadly. "Come here, little sparrow..."
