Having spent a short time with his younger sister and promising to take her out of the lands she was born in, Afiya picked up his paws and went to see his mother. he knew she would have a few things to say to him and he was ready for them all, mostly,
He wasn't sure how happy she would be to see him, after all, he'd left poza in her care and he fully intended not to stay. He didn't evben know if he had sons, daughters or anything else.
Shaking the thought away he trottd towards the family copse. "Mum? Mother are you here?"

She'd heard him coming from a mile away, hsi foot falls were so familiar to her, he had always been so much more heavy footed than his brothers. Shaking her head she came out of the den quietly, her soft, dusty blue eyes falling on her eldest son.
He seemed even bigger now than he had when she had last seen him, the travelling obviously was doing him good. "Hello afiya" She whispers padding up to ehr son and rubbing her cheek against his. "I see you are doing well my love." she puurrs, admireing his glossy coat.
She did want to scold him for leaving, but she couldn't do it right this minute, she was just ahppy to see him home.

Afiya smiled at his mother greeting her with the same exhuberance as she had. "hey mum, how are you?" He beamed and puurred happily, avoiding the subjects that he knew she wanted to discuss was going to be hard, but he was determined to avoid them.
"I just thought I'd pop by before I went off again. I'm gunna take a stint in to the jungle, amazing place ma." he grinned and flickered his tail.
"My lil sis wants to come with me hough, just wanted to check you were okayw ith that before we went, we're gunna go at first light." He got the whole thing out as quickly as he could. He wasn't one for p***y footing.

Colche raised a brow, he wasn't back fr good? "Afiya, i thougth you'd come back for poza!" She stated rather simply, she wasn't about to let him change the subject. "You have a son you know, you've never even seen him and he's growing up so fast!"
She sighed softly, she doubted she could say anything to him. "Please, see him before you leave at least." She groomed her boys cheek softly her blue eyes looking saddened by the whole situation.
"You want to take kyune with you?" She raised a brow, she trusted Afiya, with his family at least, he was just so irresponsable it seemed with women. What was she supposed to do. "if she wishes to go, i can't stop you afiya, she's growing up too."

Afiya sighed, so much for avoidance "Oh ma, you know I don't love her! It was a bloody mistake and I'm sorry I havn't met the kid but idon't want to. i don't want him to know I'm his pa, I abandoned the pair of them and I aint takin that responsability. I'm not bein' tied here ma." He huffs his ears flattening a little.
"yeah well she wants to come, wants to experience the world. I can show her some amazing places. And you know i'll look after her."

Colche shook her head. "Please Afiya, don't b like that, I know the situation. I just, well he is my only grand child and he has never known you." She sighs,s he knew she couldn;t force him.
"You know I cant' stop you afiya. I know you'll look after your little sister." She leaned forwards and groomed his face gently. "Just promise me you'll bring her home when yu're through. i don't want her to spend her whole life away from her family"

Afiiya sighed. itwas the last thing in the world he wanted to do. he didn't want to see his son. "No mother. i'm not gunna put the kid through that. I'm leaving at first light and tahts final." he paused for a moment and licked his lips "Hows poza? is she alright?" Despite the fact that he didn't love her it didn't mean he didn't want to know how she was.
"We'll have a great time mum, and you know I'll fetch her home safe."

Colche shok her head "alright, okay I'll drop it, but you need to meet him eventually, better now than later!" She shook ehr head and looked at her oldest boy with a smile. "She's fine, getting on with her life. I told her you would come back one day, but perhaps I was wrong to assume that?"
Nodding the pale eyed lioness sat down slowly "I know you'll look afterher Afiya, but what about looking after yourself in the process hmm?"

Afiya shook his head, no he would never meet the boy. He did not want to. "It's good to know she's getting on fien without me, i knew she would." He stated simply.
"I'll be fine ma, I'vbeen wandering around on my own for ages now. Nothing frightens me out there."

Colche smiled. She knew he cared for Poza, she just wondered where she had gone wrong that he couldn't say that he loved her. Maybe he truely didn't and it was all just a mistake? She didn't like to think that though.
"You know, fear is a good thing to have soemtimes Afiya, it makes us cautious. Don't be too cocky, you never know when something bad could happen.

Afiya rolled his eyes and sighed. "Oh ma, i dun need to be cautious, there aint no beat that i can't take on!" He smiles and flickers his tail amused by his mothers always cautious tone.
"You know I can take care of myself, don't worry about it."

Colche simply sighed. She knew she couldn't warn afiya, she knew eventually he would get in to trouble and she knew it was her fault. She had fed him these ideals as a cub and now he beleived them above all others.
"I know my love but please, just take care of yourself. I don't know what i woudl do if you got hurt, or kileld and I never saw you again."

Leaning forwards he groomed his mothers face gently, a smile formingon his face "Oh mum, don't be like that, I'm not gunna die or anything daft like that. Now come on, give me a smile, I need to get back to my little sister and let her know she'sa comin' to the jungle with me!"
He beamed, his golden eyes shimmering in an ever so handsome manner. He always ignoredhis motehrs warnings, probably not the best thing to do, but it meanthe could concentrate on staying alive and other such fun activities.

Rolling her pale eyes the mother of this huge, bull headed male let a smile cross ehr beautiful slender features. "Look after yourself Afiya, and please for once heed your mothers warnings and just don't do anything silly!"
He smiled and groomed his face for a long moment grabbing him behind the neck with her paws to clean behind his ears as she used to.
She slowly let go and nodded. "At least you face the world clean." She puurrs sitting and watching him with loving blue eyes.

The huge male stood and let his motehr fuss over his apperance knowing it would at least give her some peace. once she let go though he touched ehr nose with his own.
"Cya later ma, take care of yourself and say hi to Korou for me!" He winked and trotted off back int he directionhe had come, ready for his adventure now that he had spoken to his mother.
