Afiya didn't even have to tell her they were there. The scent of the wood, the call of the birds, the large root that just sent her hurtling face first into the dirt! Ah, the lovely jungle.
Kunye yelped out her surprise from the ground, quickly climbing back to her feet. A grimace was on her face, and she quickly tried to spit out the dirt she nearly swallowed.
She would just have to make a mental note. No running on ahead of her brother blindly! Not that she would bother to remember that five minutes from now when the excitement retook her... But for these five minutes she was firmly resolved.
She moved carefully back to his side, ears perked, and tail puffed out slightly. So many sounds... So many smells. How would she ever keep up with it all?
Sparing a sheepish grin to her brother at her own clumsiness, she happily butter her head against his side. " What does it look like, Afiya? "

Afiya couldn't help buch chuckle when his sister went head over heels. He thoguht it best for ehr to make her own mistakes rather than warning her about every little thing. The only way to learn in a place like this after all was to make mistakes. he would protect her fromt he big things, but the little things, wells he could getthem herself.
Nudging back he smiled "Well, it's quite dark but the sun dapples through fromt he canopy above, it's very green and theers ferns every where dotting the ground." He smiled "Theres birds every where, as you can hear but they are brightly coloured, shimmering int he sunlight"
He puured and nudged her to get ehr to move further in "We should find some where to sleep, some where safe, it can be quite dangerouds here in the dark, theres a pride of lions in here and I'm ntoreally sure how they would react to a couple of cheetahs." he chuckles and keeping close to his sister starts to slowly make his way towards the dencer part of the jungle.

Her smile grew at his description, and she easily let herself be led along with him deeper into the jungle. Her paws moved more carefully along the ground now, trying to feel ahead for anything that would dare try to send her hurtling to the ground a second time.
" Lions? I've never met a lion before. " She murmured in excitement. " They look a little like us, don't they..? " Kunye couldn't help but hope that they came across a few of the lions. It shouldn't really be dangerous for them.
After all. Who could possible feel threatened by a blind cheetah?

Afiya chuckled "yeah they are kinda like us, they are shorter int he leg and stouter in the body though. They are strong and can eb dangerous, so don't go approaching one unless i'm about okay?" he raised a brow "They smell different from a cheetah so just be careful."
He shook his head slowly steppingover a large root "Watch that root there" he whispers. "And you've never met one cause ma is over protective, she's always been frightened of lions so she avoids them"

She carefully avoided the root, listening carefully to what her brother had to say. Slowly, she gave a light nod to his words. " Alright. I promise to be careful of them, Afiya. "
Humming, she sniffed at the air curiously. How she would ever smell one coming though, she had no idea. Her senses were rather mixed up in this new land. She wasn't even sure what half of what she was smelling was!
Best not to tell her brother that though. He would deny it if she said anything, no doubt. But he seemed to worry as much as they mother sometimes.

Afiya chuckled lightly "Good girl. You'll know if you smell one,t hey smell of fur." He chuckled, there was no betetr way to describe a lion he thought than smelling of fur, lots of fur. Fluff balls that they were.
"It's a shame you can't see this lil sis, it's beautiful, still, it's just as nice a place to listen to and smell." He took a breath in. "Smell that green? thats ferns at your feet as we're going and the brown smell is decay from the leaves and that relaly acrid scent, well that bat poo or bird poo, I'm not sure which." he chuckles and nudges his sister "We can ignor ethat particular smell, its's not very interesting."

" Yes, I may have been better off not knowing that last one. " She giggled, tilting her head to him. " Hmm. A bat? If it feathery like a bird? "
So many creature's she's never heard of, let alone encountered. They were all quite interesting!
She lowered her head to sniff their path every so ofter, mapping our the many scents of the jungle. It was practically overflowing with the scents of animals who had passed recently through ahead of the,

Afiya chuckled "No bats have leather like wings and they have furry bodies, they are kind of like mice only with wings instead of fore paws. Fun things to watch, alot ofpeople say they are blind, i dunno though, they get around so quickly when they fly over head, it's an mazing sight, huge flocks of them heading out in the last light of the day."
"I'm sure if you wait until it starts going dark you can have a chat to one if you manage to get it to sit still for long enough. They are so swift, but you'll definately hearthem when they come out."

Her eyes went wide at the mere thought of an entire species of creatures lacking in sight, much like herself. Oh she would try her best to meet one while she had the chance. She simply had to know if that was true.
Her tail twitched in excitement, and she quickly tried to refocus on not falling. " This is so wonderful. I'll have so many stories to bring back to mother! " She said happily.

Afiya chuckled. "Yeah and ma will listen intently and add them to her histories. you know what she's like, she'll be dding your stories to her reverie and tell them to anyone whom listens." he grins. "You'll be a ledgend just like the cheetahs of old"
He stretched then and let a quick yawn roll over his maw. "Theres a big tree just ahead of us Kunye, theers a bowl underneath it, plenty big enough for the two of us." he smiles and nudges his little sister forwards. "we can have a sleep then i can go and hunt us up some grub. Maybe i can catch a monkey this time, tried last time, little blighters are fast on the move." he chuckles hildin his head high and gently guiding his sister towards the large tree.

She let out a laugh at the thought of herself becoming a 'legend', as he put it, unable to stop herself from mimicking his yawn. " Mmm, that's a good idea. I've gotten pretty tired. "
With her energy all over the place as it was, it left her rather quickly. A nice nap sounded very good. She moved along with him to the tree, letting him guide her into their resting spot before she happily slid down to the ground. " G'night Afiya. "

The large male smiled and settled comfortably next to his little sister. he stayed alert for a while, waiting untils he was asleep and being sure that it was all safe before he let his chin fall to his paws.
Closing his golden eyes he yawned widely. "Sweet dreams" he whispers letting hos own dreams engulf him.
