Okay, so I've been bored to tears the past few weekends because there's nothing to do. I can't buy any new xbox games, there's nothing to do on gaia, nothing on tv, so all I could do is eat, sleep, and play video games which I eventually get bored of anyway. I'll be out of school next week, which means I'll be spending more time at home wallowing in boredom than doing other stuff. I'm scared I'll turn into a vegetable this summer! crying Guys, tell me what you would do during the summer. Any continuous time-consuming projects? Good, addictive video games? Tell me what you'd waste your time doing. I need something new for a change D;

If you're old enough, get a part-time job. It kills time and you earn a little spending money. Volunteer somewhere if you don't mind donating your free time. Start building something.
I don't know, what are your interests?

It's so easy to fall into a funk. Just force yourself to go outside. It'll help you feel good about your days.

My library is doing a teen read program. Maybe yours is too?
If you aren't old enough to get a part time job, you could volunteer somewhere?
Read books even if you haven't got a reading program. Outside if doable.
Learn a new skill, like making a website or juggling.

I can't get a job. Not old enough. I tried one of those reading program things last summer, and it was boring as hell. D; I think I should just buy a new video game or something I could get addicted to. xD

What about summer classes? Or just setting a goal on your own to learn something?
Or you could ride your bike or take a walk once a day. Or you could grow some tomatoes? Or chives or herbs.
One summer I had to scrape the old wallpaper and put up new wallpaper and paint in a hallway. Redecorate your bedroom.
Do you have neighbors who might need help with yard work or errands or something?

I'm 13 sweatdrop I don't know many 13-year-olds who work at McDonalds. I actually don't have the money nor the space to redecorate my room. My family is financially challenged. xP Also... I'll have to wait to buy any new video games. I personally don't have the funds, nor does my mom. I guess I'll just download demos for now xD Or I could find a way to make the Orange box to work on my comp? I think it's my graphics card that's not compatible with the game so it freezes a lot and doesn't load all the graphics.

Well... I start collage in a month and a few days, so my summer is non-existent... Watch PBS. That's what I do when I am bored... sweatdrop Nova isn't that bad. When it is actually about science...

Our summer here started at March and ends at June 11. Ten more days 'til school. gonk
Anyhoo, if you got bored of your video games, buy some sort of movie/anime/manga? The only thing I did this summer is go on the computer. And that ten-day vacation that made me miss the prom. =_=

I have books to read all summer. I play the Sims 2. Try finding a good book to read! Or, read all the Harry Potter books 2 times each. Back to back. [I don't get outta school until June 17th.]

Salmay Learn a new skill, like making a website or juggling. That's a really good idea. Look into taking a class or teach yourself. You can always offer to take care of your neighbor's pets while they're on vacation. If you like sports, you can join a team of some sort over the summer or just practice. I miss having long Summer vacations... the real world sucks when it comes to that D:
