I'm currently reading The Host. I've only gotten to chapter three or so. I'm not getting into it... does it get better soon? I was surprised that the beginning didn't hook me, like it did with Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse.

I finished it once, and I reread for my favorite parts so... I liked the book. I really did!
And without giving away too much... Stephenie Meyers knows what she's good at. And its not Sci-Fi, its love stories. So you can expect a lot of that. But... that's all I can tell you without giving away too much.

After almost a week of not reading it, I picked it back up yesterday (to read during finals) and I actually got into it! I'm halfway through and would have finished it if it weren't for work. I actually like it a lot now. However, it's nowhere near as good as the Twilight series.

The first 12 chapters were really boring to me.I didn't get into it until chapter 13.It's alittle better but I'm still kinda iffy with it.

I'm not sure what I thought of the ending, but after having finished it I have to say I like it. I'm glad I didn't give up in the beginning.

I'm a little over halfway through it, and I do agree with the beginngin being difficult...but it does get better. I can't seem to put it down...
i can definately see Stephenie's style in the book that reminds me of twilight, but thinking about twilight while reading this is different. Twilight is very different from this because the main character is so clueless...so that gives a different perspective of Stephenie's narrating....if that made any sense....
