 The air cracked with electricity, and the sky lite up like it daytime. But it was almost midnight, the sun had long since disappeared under the horizon. He had took shelter in the nearby cave, but hadn't been able to get a wink of sleep since. The thunder rumbled causing the the ground to shake slightly. Val kept his eyes on the entrance, waiting. He wasn't sure why, but he hoped he'd see her again, Yusuke. But the chances of that were slim and nil.
He curled his tail around his body to keep warm as the wind blew into and around the cave. He hadn't bothered exploring it, nor looking around it. As soon as the storm was over he'd be out anyway so whatever was in it, if there was anything, would just have to wait until then.

"SHUT UP!" she shouted up at the sky feeling its rage beat down on the land, she had always felt at one with the sky, and now for some reason she felt it crying and roaring and the thought scared her slightly. Her beloved friend was now being so unpredictable she new there was storms and rain but this felt like something different. Like it was a message to her.
She found an opening in the trees which she made her way into she had been on her own since she left Val and was adjusting to that again after all she had lived all her life on her own so a few more years wouldn't be much. She looked up at the small flashes she could see, it looks like really bad weather.
It then started to rain she sighed and looked up sitting down on a rock. "come on don't cry..." she begged it. "I am sorry i didn't mean to yell at you don't cry." she stated as she felt the water poor down her face. Her eyes widened as she jumped to the side about 6 meters away from her a bolt of lightning hit the land, she darted threw the forest scared.
She soon stopped, well fell, in a puddle no idea where she was. She felt tears go down her face still in shock. "why did you try and hurt me what have i don't to make you so angry." she asked in a low voice. Yusuke most of the time seems like a smart person but because of her isolated life she might have gone slightly mad and found a way of feeling better by talking to the clouds which now seemed to have betrayed her. "Its because i left him isnt it...? im sorry i... was scared..." she stuttered digging her face into the dirt.

The lightening cracked again, brightening the sky making it look as if it was daytime. Storms never bothered him much, but the thunder always made him jumpy. "Come on already, be done" He sighed not wanting to be stuck in this cave much longer. He looked behind him, glancing backwards to make sure nothing was sneaking up from behind him. He was still weary about something being inside with him. But he knew the idea was obsured.
Another crack and rumble shook the cave. He curled up even tighter, digging his claws in the ground beneath him. This was definitely a storm that would last a while. I can't wait till this is over..

Yusuke picked herself off the ground and looked over at a cave bear by, she crawled over to it her fur dripping wet before she squeezed threw the tight gap rolling onto the other side, she stood up and looked around, at least she tried to but it was too dark to see anything in here. She began to walk deeper into the cave and she was doing so a good several minuets before she finally got to a lighter part it was still raining and she was still soaked in wayer, there was another enterance near by and a person sat by it, she growled slightly looking at the figure she wasnt in the mood at the moment, only if she had known who it was, she knelt down quietly snarling as she jumped him.

Valerians ears twitched as growling from the back of the cave alerted him. I knew something was there. he mumbled as he uncurled himself and whirled around. "I'm just here till the storm lets up.. then I'll leave you to yourself." he stated to the growling shadow that slowly approached. With the rain and the caves natural dampness it took him a bit longer to catch the scent of the dark figure. He sniffed. It was female. He smiffed again, only to be slightly confused. It smelled slightly like, no, this growling female couldn't be. Could she?
"Yusuke?" he whispered taking a step toward her.

Her ears pinged up slightly as she looked confused she slowed down lightly to almost a stop, she stopped growling altogether as she looked towards the male a look of maybe disbelief on her face, it had been at least a good couple of months from when she last saw him if not more. She looked to the side lightly the sky flashed white again.
Her bright pink eyes looked upon the handsome male as a small smile came to her face. "hey there stranger." she greated she couldn't look at him at the moment not now, she had run away from him without giving a reason or as much as a goodbye he must really hate her.

A smile came to Val's muzzle as his earlier prediction suggested, the females scent belonged to Yusuke. He sometimes wondered how she faired since the last time they'd seen eachother, even sometimes wondered if she thought about him. He doubted it. Then pushed the thought aside when remembered she'd addressed him. "Hi." he responded smoothly. "Didn't expect to find another here. Forgive me."
His way of dealing with her sudden presence after so long was indifference. Which of course, wasn't the case. He did care. "How have you been?" he asked.

"it depends on how you look at it, i went back to my familt to sort things out, nut it didnt really work so." she stated with a small shrug pretending it didnt bother her but ofcause it did, she looked at him and blinked wrapping her tail around her legs. "there as obnoxiously horrible as usual." she added as she looked passed him at the rain outside her visit to them had just relit the fact that she hated them so much.
"how about you?" she asked looking over at him in wonder the fact was she didnt talk to anyone as openly as she talked to him, i mean if this was anyone else she would have proberbly eaten them by now.

So that was her reason for leaving. He glanced away from her for a moment feeling suddenly bad for playing indifferent to her when she had a good reason to be away. After all, they haven't really discussed an "us".
Feeling horrible about the way he acted, he meet her gaze and nodded slightly in understanding. "I'm sorry to hear that". Stepping a bit closer he came to sit beside her and looked out into the storm as it continued to rumble and flash before them. Val took a deep breath and slowly released it before answering her earlier question. "Trying to find a perminant place to stay. Other than that.." he turned his head to looked at her again. "I've thought about you" he added softly searching her expression after he made his declaration.

Yusuke looked up at him with a small blush before she shook it off. "I have been thinking about you too." she stated with a small smile before she shook lightly feeling odd to actually say it outloud, she looked to the side for a second before looking straight back at him. "I guess i could go as far to say i have missed you Val..." she stated her ears flopping back against her head.

Val smiled at her, his stomach fluttering at her words. She did miss me. He felt a weight lift from him, though showed no physical sign of it. "I've missed you too Yu. I thought you left for good." Since his mothers death hose many few years ago he distanced himself from anyone he could get close to. But with her, he couldn't. The storm was still bruing outside, but he almost didn't noticed until the lightening flashed bringing much needed light to the cave.

Yusuke looked at him before she jumped up onto a rock curling in a ball. "well i suppose i am glad if you can call it that. I mean how could i leave you i am the one keeping you out of trouble." she stated with a small smirk, she never stayed anywhere unless she had a reason to do so and this might not be the true reason she was staying but never the less it gave her peace of mind.

"Your the one keeping me out of trouble, huh?" he teased. His tail flickering slightly as he walked in front of the large rock. A large grin stealing his muzzle as he looked up at Yusuke, and his chest tightened with excitement. She was staying.. What could be better than that? Nothing, surely.

"Yes I am and that is that." she stated with a small smirk as she looked down at him leaning forward slightly so her nose was only a little distance away from his a small smile coming onto her face as she thought back to there time together. "I mean... what other reason do I have to stay here?" she stated as she tilted her head putting her nose against his and nuzzling him slightly before laying back on her rock. She wanted to give him little hints even though she did not want to come full out and tell him her feelings.

Valerian smiled at her, his eyes locking on hers as his tail curled around his side and tapped hers in a soft rythem. "Because I just need you, that's why" he stated smuggly. It must have been kind of funny seeing him trying to tease and flirt. Astrid would probably be rolling if she saw him now. But he didn't care. He could tell by the way Yusuke looked at him that she wanted to stay for her own reasons. He just wasnt sure why she didnt admit it. But he wasnt going to dwell on it, so he dropped the subject from his mind and nuzzled her nose back.
Man how much he'd missed this. His stomach tightened again at the thought. She was stay.. And that was a blessing in itself. She had opened him up more than anyone and to loose her now would probably break him.
