According to one legend, in the sixth century B.C. the Jade Emperor invited all the animals in creation to a race, only twelve showed up: the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Lamb, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig, and according to their places in the race, the Jade Emperor had given them each a number starting with the Rat who was the winner of the race.
Many legends arose from the Race of the Chinese Zodiacs. One told of the reason why cats and rats shall always be enemies: One tells that the cat had asked the rat to wake him up the day of the Race. The rat agreed, but on the said day, he did not wake the cat in his greed to win. When the cat finally woke up and got to the racing ground, he found the race to be over. The cat then swore revenge upon the rat.
I've adapted this story more towards fruits basket so therefore the Jade Emperor is now called the god.

Rules and such:
1. no god-moding
2. no killing off other people's charactors
3. follow gaia's rules!
4. don't just start than quit
5. please use [[]] (())or {{}} to show that your charactor isn't talking and that it's you
6. please be semi-lit. it keeps things going short answers don't give people much to go off of
7. try to talk to people don't just wait to be found try to find people yourself or you probably won't find anyone to talk to
8.don't leave people out
9. You can have a max. of two Zodiac animals, but as many other characters as you want. Just make sure you can handle the amount you choose.

Ethan stood outside leaning against the house. He had just gotten home from work and decided that instead of going inside he'd just wait until someone he knew came by. Ethan looked at the check in his hand with a slight smile on.

Kane was wandering home from being out slowly when he saw Ethan standing outside. Kane wasnt sure if Ethan was waiting for him or if he was just standin there but both choices seemed bad for Kane. Either way he could get yelled at for wandering around. "Crap... of course he would be waiting outside..." Kane mummbled before contueing on his way. Kane didnt remember Ethan to be one to yell at the others but there was always the chance. Kane let out a small yawn as he got closer to Ethan. Kane watched as Ethan checked his watch and smile. "Any reason for the smile?" Kane asked in a bored tone.

"Oh I'm just looking at my paycheck," he said as he put in in his pocket." By the way what are you doing out so late?" Ethan crossed his arms pretending to look as if he was about to start yelling even though he wouldn't even dare do that.

Kane thought for a moment before smiling. "I was walking around." Kane said before looking out at the street for moment. "You shouldnt be so happy to have a paycheck you know. Its nothing special." Kane said with the bored tone slowly creeping back into his voice. It seemed to come around when he wasnt moving around. If he wasnt doing something he sounded bored. If Kane thought about it he could control his voice but he never really tried.

"It helps pay the bills and that's all that matters," he smiled slightly as he starting heading inside. Ethan had always been one of the few people in the house to pay the bills mostly because he was of age, but also because he just wanted to m,ake sure they were paid, so they all woiuldn't get yelled at.

"Uh-huh..." Kane mummbled as he followed behind Ethan. Kane didnt understand Ethan most of the time. Kane personaly thought Ethan had no clue. Kane relized this was wrong becuase Ethan knew much more than Kane, but it made him feel better to think that someone was somewhat like him. Kane thought he was rather stupid at time, but on the contrary he was wrong. Kane was smarter than he let himself beleive.

Yukari was in side dress in her traditional clothes like usual. She sat at the table having some tea keeping as warm as she could be in fear she might get too cold and might cause her to get very ill. "Welcome home again." she said with a bright smile as both Ethan and Kane walked in. He hair was tied of to the side today not anything too fancy. She poured some tea for her. "Would the both of you like some jasmine tea?" she asked softly.
Kenji was inside working on his home work for school. He sighed getting to some of the harder questions in the assignment. His pencil made little taps and scrap sound against the desk in his room. He didn't really care what else went on at the moment or what the others might be doing at this time. After he finished he would just like go to sleep.

Ethan smiled slightly," I would if it's not too much trouble." He sat down next to Yukari. "So what have you been up to today?" Ethan was still wearing his uniform which he never seemed to change out of. He always seemed to be wearing it.

"Oh nothing too much just a little cleaning." She spoke with a smile. She flipped over and upside down tea cup on the table and filled it up with tea and also waited to see if Kane wanted some tea too. " so how was your day? " she replied back , the both of you if you wouldn't mind talking about your day."

Ethan took a sip of his tea and looked at Yukari,"Mine was okay. I had to deal with a bunch of stuck up rich people today, but I got my paycheck so that doesn't matter so much."
