For those who've followed the lore, the WotLK expansion brings with it, finally, the first fight against a dragon aspect. Malygos, the Aspect of Magic, seeks to strip the world of magic after coming to the conclusion that the mortal races have overly abused the gift.
To me, this is exciting, and also makes the mind wander about the possibility of future fights with the other aspects: Nozdormu (Aspect of Time, leader of the bronze dragonflight), Ysera (Aspect of Dreams, leader of the green dragonflight), Alexstrasza (Aspect of Life, leader of the red dragonflight), and Neltharion (Aspect of Earth, leader of the black dragonflight, a.k.a. Deathwing). According to the lore associated with the Malygos raid, however, it says that the red dragonflight have allied themselves with the Kirin Tor, so to me that sort of rules out a future fight against Alexstrasza. An encounter with Ysera also seems highly unlikely since she constantly maintains the Emerald Dream. Killing Nozdormu would be impossible seeing that time would cease to exist without him. So that leaves Deathwing, and to anyone who knows, he's a prime candidate for a future raid.
Anyone else have any further thoughts about future encounters with dragon aspects?

I'm excited about WotLK's lore in general, especially the dragonflight stuff. X3 I liked Malygos in the WC novels, it was sad what happened to his flight.
From WoWiki: You can fly up Wyrmrest Temple too. By talking with an NPC at the base it's possible to ride up to the Wyrmrest's peak, which turns out to be quite a distance up, on a dragon's back. At the summit you talk to a huge elf named Alexstrasza the life-binder, whom will likely give you quests and let you gain reputation.
I think Deathwing should play a part in the expansion following WotLK. In TBC's Netherwing questline you learn he's been rebuilding his brood & still lives, so it seems likely. I think the Emerald Dream is a great expansion pack base, as it's described as being the entire world, if the intelligent races had never been. Also there's a corruption spreading through it, which reeks of 'hay quests to kill a bajillion baddies!'

I've come to the conclusion that all dragons eventually go batshit insane and we kill them for epics.

A note on Nozdorum: Time would still exist without him, as the Titans showed him the time and place he would die so he wouldn't go powercrazy and be a total ******** rest though I think is really awesome, and Wrath of the Lich King in general has me pretty excited.

I personally think that Nozdormu, Alexstrasza and Ysera should ******** be left out of this, they should be untouchable as far as raiding goes. They're the Aspects of Time, Life and Dreams, respectively, for ******** sake. Imagine what would happen if Alexstrasza or Ysera died...the Emerald Dream would become totally corrupt from the Nightmare, druids would either go crazy en mass or be unable to use one of their most valuable tools. What would happen to the flora of Azeroth? It would probably be corrupted by the nightmare as well. And Alexstrasza? I'm fairly sure you'd be dead if you tried to kill her, she has waaaay too many allies. Nozdormu is a little less vital, but I don't think theres anyone who wants him dead. Unless he becomes a threat, which is possible...I don't see it happening any time soon.
Blizzard needs to learn that some things you just shouldn't ******** with, and the dragon aspects are some of those things.

I doubt we'll ever raid against Green, Red or Bronze (Unless they're like lolmindcontrolled). And in my honest opinion, I doubt we'll kill Malygos. But we'll have to wait and seeeee~

Karnokoto Blizzard needs to learn that some things you just shouldn't ******** with, and the dragon aspects are some of those things. I agree. I was initially pissed when reading that Malygos had been turned into an enemy against us. But that got me to thinking of the potential of such an encounter. Hell, I regard it in higher respect than going up against Arthas.

It would be funny if we could fight Nozdormu, but only players unfriendly with the brood of Nozdormu could attack
Everyone with any pre-BC raiding experience would have to reroll lolol

Or just keeps you frozen in place while he quickly one-shots your raid mrgreen
Also, there is a possibility that when & if we kill Malygos, there will be a chance that it will be just like killing Kael, thought he died but wasn't neutral
Double Posting Do Not.

The first fight against a dragonflight? What about the one we spent years fighting before the dark portal was opened?
@Void, malygos will die by a group of 10 or 25 people in northrend, you heard it here first. wink

I said first fight against a dragon aspect, not dragonflight. Of course this isn't the first fight against a dragonflight. First Public Enemy Also, there is a possibility that when & if we kill Malygos, there will be a chance that it will be just like killing Kael, thought he died but wasn't neutral I hate when that happens...
