Wikipedia
The White Tiger (Chinese: 白虎; pinyin: Bái Hǔ) is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is sometimes called the White Tiger of the West (西方白虎), and it represents the west and the autumn season.

During the Han Dynasty, people believed the tiger to be the king of all beasts. Legend had it that when a tiger reached 500 years old, its tail would turn white. In this way, the white tiger became a kind of mythological creature. It was said that the white tiger would only appear when the emperor ruled with absolute virtue, or if there was peace throughout the world. Because the color white of the Chinese five elements also represents the west, the white tiger thus became a mythological guardian of the west.

The House of the West is nestled to the west of the Central House, near the lake called Tana. They are blessed with the talent of creativity and the element of Water, and are said to be as sly as the White Tiger of legends. They are creative through the shadows of the night, the light from the sun's rays, the glow from the moon in the sky. Though they do meddle into the artisan crafts a bit, they seem to be moreso creative with other tactics, such as diplomacy and conflict. Though some might not agree with their way of doing things, it is hard to find any evidence of what they do.

This is the House where the gang-like Shinobi came from, though as far as anyone knows, they have all been disbanded for a better look upon the other Houses. The Lord, [Zahi] is said to be quite a ruffian, leading his gang of Shinobi to get what he wants from places outside of Tianxia. He does give his respect to his Emperor and Empress, and continually tries to keep himself in their good graces. The Lady, Zhōng Rén, has a heart as bright as the morning sun, and welcomes all into her House.

Creativity is what is accepted here most, whether it be in hunting, teaching, or speaking. Whether you are artistically gifted, or simply creative in the way you fulfill your life and stay happy. It is widely known that the Lady Rén cherishes the artisan crafts, and encourages all of the children of the house to learn some sort of skill. These skills will contribute to the success and growth of the House.

Please note: The whole 'shinobi' thing is pretty secretive, and none but the higher ups (Lord/Lady/Head Royal Guard/Historians) would know about it. They are a plot tool written in to be pulled together when/if the situation for it arises. It's draws a bit of Zahi (Zane) and Mio's OC characteristics/story that I developed for them.

Zahi/Zhōng Xíongwěi (imposing loyalty) - Lord
Zahi was a grouch, but has smoothed out with his time living on his own. His struggles in questioning himself and where he came from hampered his growth in social skills, and all he really knew was how to take what he wanted by force. One of these things was Mio. She had just happened to see him kill another, and instead stole her away so she wouldn't tell anyone. He watched how she delt with this abduction, and was amazed that though she was still full of fear, she still kept her soft heart and warm smile through it all. Zahi now definately wants to keep Mio for himself, but wants her to accept that as well, and is trying to learn all this while making sure that she doesn't leave him.
He can get rowdy/rough and obnoxious at times, and a bit crude. (Safaia)

Mio/Zhōng Rén (love in loyalty) - Lady
Mio is very meek and shy, and is bullied into being with Zahi. She used to be terrified of him, but soon that fear turned into a slow understanding of just how Zahi was. He wanted someone close to him, but didn't know how to ask/develop it. While she still does not trust him yet (at this point ICly), she no longer feels like her safety is in jeapordy when he gets on one of his rants.
She is one that can easily be walked on, as she wants to make everyone happy, and the only way she knows how to do that is to give everything. Zahi harasses her about this, though, so she is trying to grow a bit of a backbone and at least voice her opinion on some things. (Safaia)

Izimbali/Jing Xinli (strength from the heart) - Chamberlain
Having arrived in the Tianxia in his youth alongside his mother, Izimbali has grown into himself as he's grown into his rank. Dealing with the Lord of the West House has given him a back bone he might not have had otherwise, knowing just when to stand his ground without shrinking back. He takes his duties seriously wanting above all to make his mother proud of him as they start their new lives. (Skye Starrfyre)

Captain of the Royal Guard - none

Nia/ Àishàng (fall in love (with)) - Lady-in-Waiting
Nia has known Mio since they were children. While not related by blood, their consider themselves sisters. Nia is the sort that is strong willed, knows what she wants from life, and never looks back. As she is used to being the 'older sister' of Mio, she has always put her as priority in her life. Because of this, she has never been able to be in a solid relationship. Always wanting children, she has recently adopted a litter of children from the rogue lioness Pacha, who needed a home for the children to be raised. Thrilled with the prospect of raising children, she is learning to balance her duties with learning new experiences in life. (Safaia)

Rangi/Feng Zhi (--) - Lady-in-Waiting
Rangi spent her childhood without parents trying to scrape a living from the savanna with a group of other lost children. She had planned to live out her life with them until she met a blue waterbuck. The waterbuck offered to show her somewhere new, to give her a chance, and brought her up north to meet Lady Mio. Rangi fell in love with the land and with Mio's blessing she joined the pride that lived there. She believes she owes her second chance at life to the Lady and does her best to help the other lioness any way she can. (TheMadHatter)

Akasha/Jing Liqiu (strive for strength) - Royal Guard
Akasha was always a stubborn one, ready to defy any and all authority. Obsessed with becoming strong, she had done well enough in her life until that one night were she had been 'tricked' by a male. A few moons later, and she bore a son. Frustrated by this turn of events, she had been determined to dump him. Upon gazing in his eyes, a mother's love struck her, and instead she strove to be a mother while still being strong.
Upon her son's wishes, she joined the pride to see just what strength is about, as living in a pride seems to be full of untested strengths. Challenging the Lord is a favoured past-time of her, and she enjoys aggravating him (within boundaries). (Safaia)

Adanna/MingXia (bright heroine) - Royal Guard
Adanna is perceptive, protective, and sly. Because she was told from birth that she wasn’t good enough, she has taken it to heart to prove herself to everyone. She is like an older sister to youths, because she was the eldest in her family, and she likes being protective and role model. She hates being silent when she knows that things can be better. She notices small details in a person and remembers them, like a lion that stammers when he lies, Adanna would remember him. She recently had a litter of children. (Carmel)

Hatsuharu/Bo (---) - Royal Guard
A generally easy going lion, Hatsuharu is rather happy to follow orders rather than give them. Not really stupid or anything, just very mild-mannered. Still, he has a bit of a wild side, and when pushed over the edge can be rather... unpleasant to be around. (wooga Paes)

Yatima/Quzi (Song/Melody/Wooden figurine of a child) - Bard
A cheetah who mysteriously appeared out of nowhere, Yatima is a cheerful individual. There's always a smile on her face and she's always taking risks with a chuckling chortle. But for those who watch closely, they can see that all her stories, smiles, and songs hide something different. There is a guilt lying upon her shoulders, something heavy and something terrible. Although she hides something that appears to be eating away at her soul, she is matronly towards the children she performs for and protective of the adults that she lives besides. Ranks/Descriptions of Ranks
* requires the position to be filled by a lion

Lord/Lady: The rules over the House. The Lord is the head, while the Lady quietly supports beside him, currently.

Heir: The chosen heir of the noble's children. Not always the firstborn, but from the first litter.

Consort: The chosen mate to the heir of the House, picked from either their own house or the House of another in Tianxia. It may also be from an outside pride, purely for diplomatic reasons.

High Youth: The other children that do not carry the burden of heir. They are taught with the other youth of the House, and are free to do as they please, entering whichever position they desire that is also agreed upon with the Lord and Lady. They do not all have the priveledge to choose whom they marry, though, as they are eligible to be married to one of the other Houses in Tianxia.

Guardian: The guardian deity of the House. A god. (2/?)

Captian of the Royal Guard: Is the right-hand of the Lord. Reports to the Lord and Lady about everything that is requested of them. Males normally fill this job, though strong females would not be turned away if they could prove themselves. (0/1)*

Royal Guard: Normally used to keep watch on the Lord, Lady, and their children. Their job is merely to protect the Lord and Lady with their lives, but as the lands are mostly peaceful at this time, they also assist in the hunting for the entire House if requested. They also are used as Advisors if the situation arises. Male or Female. (3/5)*

Shinobi: The House of the West's 'army', per say. While they are not used against the other houses of the Tianxia, they are used against any others that the Lord sees fit. For now, they are not gathered under the position, but merely sifting themselves in with the rest of the house. Only when a Lead Shinobi gives the call do they leave their current posts to undertake their missions.
**Your character can be a shinobi, but they will be listed/certed under a different position. This keeps them secret and elusive to outsiders.**

Lady-in-Waiting: A lioness (or two) that assist with the Lady in her normal duties, including rearing the noble's children. They are considered very close friends with the Lady, and spend much of their time with her. (2/2)*

Chamberlain: A male that helps run the household. He would mainly keep things organized and report to the Lord on the status of the House itself, as a whole. Normally manages the hunting parties as well as the messengers. He is also the one to bind two souls together in marriage.(1/1)*

Apothecary: They are the healers of the House, who tend to all of the House, no matter their level. There is normally one male and one female for the position. The female assists with births, as the male normally assists with healing the Guard. Both heal Hunters if needed. Though lions normally hold the position, this is not as common anymore for the West. (2/5) looking for a male (2 are inactive, so increased the limit)

Messenger: Used to keep contact with the other Houses, and more importantly, the Central House. They report to the Lady only after the Chamberlain, and only to the Lord if they are requested by him. Their only requirement is to be nimble and sharp, as they will often encounter difficult or awkward situations with their position. (1/4)

Falconer: The other half of the messengers. They are normally used for emergencies, sending out their falcons/birds to the other houses, though there have been times where the birds are using on scouting/hunting expeditions to locate enemies or prey. They are also sometimes used in hostile situations, as the risk of sending out a bird is smaller then sending out a full member of the House. (0/4)

Historian: Historians keep track of everything that goes on within the House, including births, deaths, marriages, ect. They sit in on many of the meetings, taking note on everything that is said. The Lord will call on them many times, and does depend on them heavily. Even so, non-lions are accepted for this position if they show a knack for remembering things. (2/3)

Head Nanny: The Head Nanny is in charge of teaching the youth of the House. They lead the other Nannies in what is correct and proper, and reports directly to the Lady, passing the Chamberlain, when she wishes. Otherwise she will report to him. Please note that nannies can be of either gender, either species, but the Head should be a lion. (0/1)*

Nanny: Nannies are normally used for the working class of the House (i.e. guards/hunters/scouts/ect) to help take care of the cubs and teach them well. They are led by a head Nanny, but work seperately from the Lady-in-Waiting. (2/7)

Bard/Storyteller: Considered the entertainment of the House, they are used when there are celebrations. They uplift the House when things are dark, and bring many happy memories up with their songs and stories. Treasured pieces of the House. (2/10)

Artisan: The creative class for the House of the West. This can include anything; crafters, painters, ect. Anything you can think of! *thanks to lilwolfpard for the idea!* (any)

Guard: Guards protect the whole of the House, including all members. They are expected to keep an eye on the lands that the House of the West lie on, as well as greet every and all visitor that steps into these lands. They assist with Hunting only if there is a shortage of food. They report to the Chamberlain and the Head Royal Guard. (any)

Hunters: Considered the standard 'working class', most members of the House fit in this position. They are expected to respect their Lord and Lady, and work for the benefit of the survival of the house. (any)

Maids: The title normally given to females that are not suited to being either a Guard or a Hunter. They are expected to keep the House clean, as well as help with anything that is needed. They normally spend time with the children, but are not considered Nannies since they do not teach. (any)

Youth: The titles that are given to the youth of the pride. They are expected to listen to their elders as well as their Nanny. (any)
