Does anyone know how to make an ouija board work?

i own one but the instructions in it weren't really clear.

can someone teach me how to use it? also, i have a suspicion some companies sell fake ouija boards, so they don't work.

edit: mine cost $20-25 (i can't remember because i bought it a while ago) it's the kind that glows in the dark after you leave it under light for a while if that helps.

I think I have the same board as you. It was given to me as a gift.

I don't think there is such a thing as a "fake" Ouija or spirit board. All you really need is a board with letter/number/etc. on it and a placard.

You basically put your fingers lightly on the placard (ideally there would be more than one person). Ask a question and the placard will hopefully move to something. Have someone writing down the letters/numbers/whatever or remember them yourself. That's pretty much all there is to it.

You might want to practice some kind of protection ritual or banishing while working with spirit boards depending on what you believe.

On a personal opinion I would say playing with Ouija's boards is dangerous. Lots of stores sell them but it's not a matter of 'fake' or 'real' board it's how much you believe in what you are doing.

I've had it happen before. Sometimes you can get it to work and sometimes you can't, just like with anything really.
