Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe it's, like, a black hole, or something. Yeah... black hole. That sounds good.

The core is probably full of dense nebulae and new stars, without any really usefully developed planets. it's dangerous to travel around there, especially at FTL speeds, so no attempts at real exploration have been maed.
