Blonde, seu português está horrível! blaugh First off, gimme that saber! You should start with the foil, a lighter and easier weapon, commonly used by begginers. After some time, you'll use an épée, and when you master it, I'll let you use the saber! razz
((thank ya! mrgreen ))

Lets start learning abou the fencing wepons. Those are three: -Foil -Épée -Sabre The foil is a light and flexible thrusting sword commonly used as a training weapon. Valid target area is restricted to the torso. The épée (means 'sword' in french) is a heavy and hard thrusting sword. It's the most common one. Target area is the whole body. The sabre is a light thrusting and cutting sword. Requires great skills and agility. Target area is most everything above the waist.

There's no zweihänder in the fencing... *thinks for a sec* yet whee ..... Well, I don't like this handle too sweatdrop , you have to hold it like a gun, it fits perfectly on the hand. But better you use a french handle (the 'normal' one). *gives Blonde a french handled foil* 3nodding Just keep this position: This posit keeps balance between the front and the back parts of your body.To attack, just extend your arm. You score when you touch your oponent with the end of your sword. When using the foil, you'll score only if you hit the torso. 3nodding

You shall spar with Mr. Traing Dummy! blaugh Be careful, he's a very skilled fencer! Hit his sword to throw it away, then touch him with the end of your blade while his guard is opened. whee

En guarde! *takes the stance* You'll start learning how to block attacks. The block is called "parry". There are eight different parries, and they are: When in normal stance, you're in a sixte parry already. Lets train the most simple: the quarte. We'll do the following exercise: I'll try to touch your torso and you'll push my foil to the left (your left) with a quarte parry. That'll avoid the attack and open my guard. Ready?
