-- AIM Rp between Azula and Kenna ((Kisoni & DFA))
It wasn't right. Her breath came ragged and hissy, speakingas loudly for her mood as the twitch of her body and puffed nature of her fur. There was something wrong, something bothering the firekin lady so much that she allowed her body to display it. Things had been odd since they'd come tot his place. Azula had been too bothered by it to be herself, but this--oh this... this was inclined to break her, if not handled carefully.
FInally she quite her pacing, having worn a lovely trail right in front of her den, turned and flopped down into the little carved place under a rock. Damned desert, damned sun and damn HIM.
Kenna on the other hand, had not been particularly bothered by the war, or the split. Not even by coming to the new terrain; all it meant was she'd had to take the time to get used to it, but as days had flown by, the new queen found she didn't mind at all that much, really. No longer did she have the time to laze about in the sun, however, her personality had not changed much. The growing female remain closed to others, sneeringly haughty in nature; it'd been ther present even after her parents... her mother had placed her forth as ruler. all the training they'd done had paid off though.
Today though, she did not care to encounter herself with other traditionals, and thus was padding off a distance in an attempt to gain some quiet and peace of mind; lately, it'd been 'Kenna this! Kenna that!' and she'd not been a particularly social individual to begin with. It was making her nervous... and a nervous Kenna meant someone got hurt. As such, the walk had calmed her mind. The young queen had even taken the time to mark the borders and was heading back to the main land they called home when a particularly familiar scent called her forth. Following it, she reached her sister's side, a brow arching up in question, "Azula?" amusingly enough, there was actual worry and concern laced in her tone of voice; something that rarely if ever showed around anyone. Azula was one of very few individuals that Kenna truly cared for. In her own why.
Rather than ask the obvious; what the hell was wrong, the quee lifted her head in the air and sniffed. For now... it seemed no one was nearby though, "Hmmm..." She'd seen her sister worked up VERY few times in her life; it was truly a spectacle on it's own, "What, exactly, is the matter with you?" rather than the usualy snark, the question was simply that; a question. A means to understand the situation.
Azula's ears perked at her sister's voice. She wasn't certain that she welcomed company today, but Kenna was not one to be turned away. Especially since the duties of the throne had taken much of her sister's time.
There was a derisive snort for that question, however, and Azula had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. "If there is something in our parents' past that is truely depraved and ... a ... betrayal to everything we've ever known. If its true. Would you want to know about it?"
A brow arched at the rather cryptic remark, "Hmmm..." the female settled herself beside Azula's rock, facing away from her sister, so as to give her her no doubt, much needed space while at the same time being near enough to converse. Something at the back of Kenna's mind kept her eyes upon the distant borders even as they talked, alert for the time being, "If even our parents can make mistakes, it'd be wise to know them, so as to stay away from them. So I figure the answer is 'yes'," a mild shrug was offered at this point.
Of course, the young queen had no way to know what Azula was even hinting at, with such a conversation. Slowly, the queen twisted her neck to look at her sister, her expression blank, even when curiosity shone within her bright orbs, "Does that mean you've found something of.... interest out?"
Her sour look was turned upon her sister with a noise to match. The female almost gave a dry retch at the memory, then shook herself and turned upon her shoulder to bath the red fur that was still refusing to tame. "I was out today, hunting. I came upon a half-blood that wandered too far into the territory.... he was...... too large for me to fight."
