Xundao's little white paws carried him wherever he wanted to go. The cub was very curious about his home, and knowing that they were prett safe here, he was always crawling around the lush grasses that grew within the valley. He could only play in it alone for so long before he got bored, though. His other sibilings were probably off somewhere. Imagine, one of 8! Xundao couldn't always quite believe it, but he was getting used to not getting too much attention. His dad was probably always busy, and his auntie busy too, since she hadn't been in the public for a while.
Curiosity overcame him suddenly. Should he go to the edge? Where sometimes Dad went when he wanted to be alone himself? It lead to the outside world, he assumed. Something amazing yet frightening all at the same time.
His paws made the decision for him, slowly carrying him towards the path that would lead him there. He'd just take one quick peek, that's all!

Hifadhi had known about these lands, only after he had slowly healed from his wounds. His body covered in scars was surely to raise a few eyebrows, but he only hoped that Jin'Yue wasn't lying when he said that Hifadhi would be welcome here. It had taken him long enough just to get the nerves to peek his head in and see just how many lived here. He couldn't see many this morning, but he did see a little cub coming his way.
Muscles growing stiff from fear, the leopon stayed where he was, not daring to take another step forward. What if he was going to get in trouble for this? Hifa didn't want any more trouble in his life, as it was hard enough being completely on his own, assuming that his whole family was dead. The last thing he needed was to be accused of attempted cub-theft or something.

Woaaaah. What was that? It looked....like a lion! But one that Xundao had never seen before. He should know, as he usually just sat and watched everyone.
He'd be quick, and Dad would never find out! Nope, he'd be completely safe, and then he'd be able to say that he found a stranger all by himself! ....If anyone would listen to him, that is. Xundao was a little too quiet, especially to anyone that he knew. Strangers? Completely fair game!
He bounded up pretty close to the stranger, never assuming that anything could go wrong. Everyone here was nice, why wouldn't everyone outside of the lands be nice as well?
"Who're you?" he called out, skidding to a stop just short of running into the lion-thing's paws. Whoops!

This was something that the leopon certainly didn't expect. He had been caught off guard, but because of that he himself grew a bit hostile. Ever since his near death experience, knowing that he lost everything because of that black-fire demon, everything that rushed him scared him. He didn't know who or what it was, but he instantly scrunched up his nose and tensed his leg muscles up, ready to strike.
As he felt the urge to swipe at the incoming creature, his mind did a double-take. Wait. It was so small, and so white, there was no way that it was going to come up and attack him. He stopped himself just as he was lifting his paw, letting his heart slow. It wasn't going to attack him, and the question that drifted into his ears confirmed that.
"M-me?" It was only the second time someone actually asked about him. The other time was when Yue helped him out as he laid still, nearly bleeding to death.
"I'm....I'm no one special, just looking for someone."

"Oooh?" the cub cocked his head to the side, immensely curious on who this lion-thing was looking for. Why would he come here? Xundao knew that their pride wasn't too special, since they didn't get too many visitors. Just whoever lived here was his world, so the thought that there were more creatures out there didn't seem realistic. Only the odd stranger that would stumble in every once in a while.
"Who're you looking for?" He wanted to help if he could!
He also couldn't help but notice his silver colour....he was covered in scars, which was a bit unnerving... did that mean he fought a lot? But he seemed so nice... maybe he was just picked on a lot? Xundao made note to ask when he could. He wanted to know everything he could, so this would be the perfect opportunity to learn stories. Someday, maybe he could tell his own stories as well.

Hifadhi watched the little cub closely. Were all cubs like this? Was he like this when he was a cub? Did he really give his mother that much trouble, always running around and getting into things he probably shouldn't have? ....yeah, he must have. It made him miss, and appreciate his mother even more.
"Well, I was looking for a lion that says he helps take care of this place..." sorta. Did he have the right description?
"I think his name was...Yue?" Man, he hoped that he had the right place and the right name, or else he was going to look like a fool. And the little cub would probably just stare at him.

The cub's ears perked forward. "Yue? I know who that is!" The little white Xundao burst out into a fit of giggles, his little body rolling around in the grass. So he wanted Yue? "That means that you're looking for my dad!" Well, wasn't that easy?
"He's so easy to find! Well, you know what he looks like!" Xundao rolled back onto his belly before bouncing up underneath the silver leopon, startling him to stumble backwards. "He's big and yellow with a white mane! Kinda nothing like me, but he sure is my dad!"
This was going to be fun! "I'm Xundao by the way, and this is my hooome!" He looked over his shoulder at the small but lush jungle behind them, with the opening visible through it. "The Mtaishi'miele. If you wanna find him, I'll take you to him!"

"O-oh?" This wasn't at all what he was expecting. So somehow he had managed to get to the correct pride with the correct name, as well as find Yue's son? This seemed to be working out a bit too well, but it was high time for his luck to be changing into something good.
"So that means you'll show me where he is?" This would help, especially because he wanted to have a home to be in...a real one. Yue had invited him to stay here, and it seemed like a good idea to heal and hopefully start life over again. He really needed that.
"And maybe....do you want to show me around a bit?" It would help, especially if he was going to live here or something like that. He swished his tail behind him, finally looking forward to something, anything, since he had lost his mother in the attack. This would help him move on, and not let himself dwell on it for the rest of his life.

Xundao giggled, so excited. Maybe this lion thing would be his friend! He needed some, since Xundao wasn't a very social cub. He didn't go out to play much, kept to himself and watched everyone. Someday he might be, but for now he simply observed everything.
Maybe this silver male would help fix that.
"Okay!" he said, excited to show off the little knowledge that he had of his home. He didn't know everything, and he knew that, but he would gladly show off everything that he knew.
"But!" he said, giving a playful grin to the big male. "First, you gotta tell me your name! And second....you gotta say why you're tail looks so funny, and your mane isn't as big as Dad's." He really really wanted to know, and hopefully this wouldn't be a real mean way to ask. If they were friends, they'd know everything about each other, right?

Oh! "Whoops." He had completely forgotten to give the little cub his name, even though the cub already said his. Xundao. The name seemed similar enough to Yue's, it would make sense if they were related. Especially so if this was his son. He didn't look....anything like him though. Maybe the other was white and silver? Hifadhi didn't know anything about Yue's family situation, though.
"Well, my name is Hifadhi," he said with a warm smile. Hopefully the name wouldn't seem too odd to the cub, since it was obviously very different from Yue's family.
"Aaand. I guess you're asking aobut what I am." He flushed a bit, hoping that it wouldn't make him some sort of outcast here. "I'm a leopon. Namely, a mix of a lion and a leopard." Oooh, he sure hoped that he'd be allowed here still. His tail was the main thing that gave him away, not his body shape.

"Ooohhh!" Now that was something that he wasn't expecting! He had never heard of anything like that before! ...then again, he'd never even seen a leopard before, so he didn't know much about them. The pride was only made up of lions at this point, and so the thought jsut boggled his mind!
"Ummm...ok! Hifa! Let's go see if my Dad is around here somewhere. I'm sure he is, he's always being a bum around here." Yue wasn't actually a bum, but he did have to watch over quite the gaggle of children since Mom disappeared. That just meant that Xundao got to spend more time with him, which was always a good thing. Sure, Dad would get mad a bit easily, but that didn't mean that he wasn't fun at times!
"I'm sure he'll like you! C'mon!" The cub grinned, turning to bound off towards where he hoped he dad would be, assuming that Hifadhi would be following right after him.

Hifadhi blinked, surprised at the quickness of everything. Was this really going to go so smoothly, or should he be careful when he really entered the lands more deeply? It didn't seem like any sort of trick, as the cub's emotions all seemed to real. Perhaps everything would be okay, as long as he held some faith into that.
"Well..." All right. He'd give it a shot. He had nothing else to do with his life, why not try to start over here? He trotted after the little white cub, hoping that they would find Yue soon. A good talk with the lion that had helped save him would seal the deal.
It felt good, almost like he was alive again.
