Neha: It wasn't unusual for Neha to walk away from her parents and explore; in fact, her parents were rather used to her disapearing for a few days on end, mostly because the clumbsy lithe thing would somehow... lose herself, and forget her way back. She always returned though, and something about her perky personality made her rather inmune to the dangers of the world, clumbsy stumbling and a tendency to fall aside.
The fact she was a hyena also helped in the matter; able to eat just about anything, she was able to survive on little. Plus, the other creatures weren't prone to bothering her species, known for their strong jaws and teeth. As it was, Neha was a rather happy-go-lucky, worry-free individual, to the point she was currently enjoying herself by jumping about as she padded along, singing a random song off-key.
She'd ventured out a day ago and had easily gotten lost; despite her wish to see her parents again, the lithe hyena (whom despite being almost an adolescent was actualy just barely larger than a pup), seemed rather unpreocupied. All roads lead to Rome! ... or something like that. She wasn't, however, looking where she was going, and endded up tripping on a random rock as she jumped; a squeal was released as her form tumbled anr rolled up ahead till she hit something that seemed to stop her, "Ow..."
Taban: Taban watched as the small hyena male ran himself around the path that Taban had pointed out. The earth was harder here, and the grass had yet to grow up too tall so it wouldn't be too hard on the young pup's short legs. He was just a few weeks out of the den and eager to jump right into his training. He'd been running in a circle, practicing his turning.
Taban was bumped forward just slightly as something small and warm simply...rolled into him. The cheetah casually turned his head and lifted an ear up. Lo and behold, a bright bundle of purple and black lay sprawled against his spotless back. Another hyena? He had been very careful to check for any pack or pride markers in this most prime of training areas. He took a moment to look around slowly before dropping his eyes back on her.
"Are you alright, miss?"
Neha: "Ow..." the word was whinned as the small thing seated herself up, shaking her head, "NOooooOoo..." she wailed slightly off-key, "I am NOT!" rubbing her head with her paws, she somehow switched from the wail, to a pout, "I fell..." something about the way she said this seemed hint that this happened often enough.
It was only right about then that the small thing turned her bright pink eyes up at the cheetah; amusingly enough, Neha had been reared up by her parents, and a lion couple. As such, the girl was rather comfortable with felines on a whole, to the point she would have never understood someone trying to explain to her WHY lions and hyenas could not form a 'pride' together.
A blink from the girl, her sadness forgoten in favour of curiosity; she seemed to lack all the violence and agressiveness her species was known for, "You're all big... thanks for stopping my stumble," a pause as her eyes fixed on the other pup a short distance away, her tail waggling about in the air as her tongue lolled slightly, "Whose that?" it seemed like she was perfectly at home with these strangers, despite the obvious reasons why she shouldn't have; naive and trusting. Happy, to boot, and obviously extremely small for her age, though not malnourished in the least. It simply seemed to be her constitution.
Taban: What a bright spirit! It was refreshing really. Lucia's pups were all in high spirits but the mother hyena insisted on raising them to become serious warriors for the troupe. They had agreed to aid the hyenas of the graveyard as soon as the pups were ready. It was a hyena affair- so it would be the hyenas that would liberate those that would leave.
"That would be Fakhir. He's training." He looked back out to the pup. Fakhir remained focused, even for one so young he seemed bent on getting the corner right. His paws kept sliding on the ground, sending him off the 'route' that had been marked for him.
"And you are?"
Neha: "Training? Wassat? Is that something you eat?" it was glaringly obvious she'd not been raised on such words or ideals; in fact, all the while, her tail wagged over the grass, her ears perked up as she looked at the cheetah with wide, innocence-filled eyes.
A pause followed as she was asked her name, however, the grin returned swiftly, "I'm Neha! Daddy says it means Brillian Thunderstorm!" she lifted her head rather proudly; the name had obviously been given to her thanks to the odd, lightning bolt-like marking on her shoulder, "Who're you? Have you see my Daddy? He's all grey and black," a pause as she pondered, "And Mommy's all purple and stuff; I think I got lost when I was following a bird."
Despite the fact she was rattling away at her tongue, her gaze kept going back to the other pup. After a moment, she looked up questioningly at Taban, as if asking for permision to go play, "Can I 'train' too?" obviously, she must think that this 'training' was a game of sort, "I'm clumbsy and never win, but it's fun anyhow!"
Taban: "Well...l training is how you get stronger, faster, more tactful. You have to excercise your body and push it to its limits you see. He is under my paw right now, tomorrow he will go learn from his mother, then Nyack." He stopped himself, the little hyena didn't really seem all that interested in all that.
"My name is Taban." He said simply, "And no, I'm sorry but I have not. The only hyena I've met are those in our troupe and Fakhir's father- but he looks nothing like what you have described."
The final question earned a chuckle, "If you would like to. Just run on that path there- and try to turn without sliding. Go as fast as you can for as long as you can." Sweet little thing...so she was lost. He turned his head over his shoulder once more. But where had she come from? There was no one but the Mistweavers for quite a ways.
Neha: "OoooOOoooh," amusingly enough, the girl did seem rather interested, in her own little way. She paused however, tilting her head, almost as if wondering WHY the other pup needed to 'train'. However, whatever notion had crossed her mind was swiftly pushed aside when the cheetah introduced himself, "Taban!" came the happy little chirp from the girl, whom wagged her tail, making sure she remembered the name; she was rather scattered brained by nature after all. Not like it'd ever mattered.
As her question was answered though, her ears flooped back, as if horribly defeated, "Awwwwwwww..." she said; it was obvious that the girl could pass from happy to sad and back at the drop of a hat, and each of her feelings was felt with all her heart. It was nothing short of amazing, in a way.
Just as swiftly as her ears had flopped, they perked and her head lifted, "WELL. I'll find them later. I always do," it hinted horribly that this situation was not new for her, which was... oddly interesting and also showed just what she was like, "OKAY!" she chirped, and rushed over to where the other pup was doing his training. However, unlike the male, she proved to be rather clumbsy even from a start. Upon her very first turn, the girl slipped on a bit of mud and was sent rolling straight n top of Fakhir. Despite this, she didn't seem put off and grinned at the male, "Hi there!"
Fakhir: He kept his eyes forward at all times, his goal being his only focus. The dirt path, the stretch between the corners, and then the corners itself. He had to slow down just slightly....running too fast made him slip to one side. Maybe if he combined his turn with a jump instead! Yes! He'd try that. The pup smirked and dipped his ears downwards.
The turn rushed for him, he was ready this time, he was gonna do it, he....was now having the air knocked from his lungs and the ground leaving his paws as he rolled and tumbled until he was on his back with an insanely bright- in more ways than one- grinning down on him.
The pup didn't answer. He was gasping for air- both from the run and from the sudden slam from the larger pup. However, confusion with a smear of outrage was more than enough to voice the only response he really wanted to give-
Who the hell was this?

Neha: Neha on the other hand, seemed rather content with the current position; she wasn't terribly larger than the male underneath, and she'd always liked physical contact. She and her brothers played and rolled around a lot, "You're grumpy," she told him matter of fact as she rolled off his back and procedeed to nudge her nose right smack against his, the grin on her maw never leaving, "You should smile! 'Cause the world's a better place when you smile."
It was hard to say where she was getting all these ideas; after all, she was lost, homeless and without parents for the time being. Despite all that, she seemed endlessly happy for some reason, which was odd to say the least.
Fakhir: Fakhir blinded slowly as he watched the female, then slowly turned his head to one side- both to escape the wide grin, her nose, and the blabbering nonsense about...sunshine and smiles, and to give Taban a look that very nearly cried out for help.
The cheetah answered only with an amused smirk. He was on his own.
Rolling his eyes back to look at the female, though keeping his head firmly turned away, he finally answered her. "...will you get off me?"
Neha: She again seemed to ponder him, however, after a moment, she pressed her nose against his again, "Why?" the single word was laced with curiosity, as if honestly she couldn't even begin to understand why she'd have to do such a thing. Turning her head towards the cheetah that looked over at them, the small girl blinked and called out to him, "Is he always this big a grumpy-poopy-head?" came the innocent question, her tail waggling about behind her.
Without waiting for an answer, she finally rolled away from Fakhir, giving him back his much needed personal space, "You're a grumpyhead," she imformed him, "You should know that love and hope make the world go 'round, and you're shoving it away!" a pause and a mock glare was sent his way, "KARMA will befall you!"
Taban: Taban was working very hard to keep himself from bursting into a fit of laughter. What kind of impression would that leave if he couldn't even stifle a laugh? But..it was too humerous. Fakhir was perhaps the most serious of Lucia's litter. He was completely devoted to his training, devoted to his siblings, and to the lessons that the four masters were impressing into him. The girl would be good for him, teach him that life wasn't all training and order.
Fakhir: Fakhir, however, wasn't so fond of learning any kind of lesson from the situation. He rolled himself back to his belly then up to his feet. Where did she come from? And just who did she think she was telling him to smile and all that... he was plenty happy, he didn't need to smile like a dimwit to express it.
He only watched her as she finished her speech. A grumpyhead? Love and peace?
"Go away." The hyena answered simply, then picked up his paws to work himself back into a run.
Neha: Her ears dropped just a tad at the boy's words, a paw reaching up to place over her maw, almost as if she'd suddenly only just remembered that she was in a bit of trouble herself, "Uhm," she said softly, her eyes looking off to the side, "I kinda can't, cause I'm sorta lost. I followed this bird, and got lost. I'm not good with direction," truth be told, she wasn't good with a lot of things; balance, for one, and strength for another. All what she lacked in physical ability though, she made up with a strength of soul and stubburness for her own beliefs.
As far as the lithe girl was concerned, there was simply no one in the world that was truly 'evil'. Thus so, the pup before her, though a complete grumpy-head, could not be all that bad. He probably only needed a hug. She refrained from Darku Angel (3:54:31 AM): carrying out the notion for the time being though, and turned to smile at Taban, "The mister over there said I could stay!" she told the other pup, even though it was obvious Taban had said no such thing yet, "HUH, MISTER TABAN?"
Taban: "Quite right my dear." This was just too precious to turn up. The look of poisen on the pup's face following his approval only seemed to enrich the whole situation. Oh if only Ush could be here to see! How he'd laugh. No matter- it would make a good story later on...one that promised to continue if he allowed the girl to hang around. Who knew? Perhaps fate brought her here as well.
Fakhir: Fakhir sighed and rolled his shoulders a bit. She was staying...just great. Maybe he could pawn her off on his sister- or one of his brothers. Even Chinedu might be amused with her. She was a wierd color too...her voice sounded funny.
It didn't matter. He had work to do. "If you're gonna stay, keep up." And with that, the pup was back to running.
Neha: Turning back towards Fakhir, the girl offered him a wide, happy smile; despite the fact she'd just been proved correct, there was no malice in it, amazingly enough, "See?" she said with a particularly strong swish of her tail (so strong her small lil bum was actualy starting to waggle along with the tail in question - so intense was her joy, barely contained).
Of course, it was already obviously clear the girl had no plans to seperate herself from Fakhir's side. In fact, had the boy been able to peek in her mind, he'd have likely ran for the hills, "OKAY!" she chirped happily, her small legs working beneath her to sprint after the surlier male.
