In these dark times, I feel it is important to remember what brought us all here. It is important to remember the things that founded this fine guild. And, while no one aspect can be singled out as more important than any other, I feel it is the duty of those of us who remember to remind the others of some of the less mentioned aspects of the guild. In particular, I'm talking the love of Glasses and all the entail, in the tradition of our absent vice captain.
So, I hereby dedicate this thread to all things megane. Show your bespectacled pride!

I have one pair...they black metal very thin and have duct tape holding them together.

Ouch!! I can understand one pair, but duct tape?!?!?! I thought they only used that in hospitals??

I need to make an appointment to get new glasses again. Worst part about an astigmatism is that it gets progressively worse over the years. And my insurance only covers a new pair every couple of years, so I only have my one needing-replacement pair at the moment.

Astigmatism gets worse over the years?! Great. I swear I'm gonna be blind by the time I'm 30. I've been wearing glasses since I was nine; my current prescription is approximately -4.25 and probably needs to be updated. Maybe someday I'll be able to get laser surgery; doubtless I'll need it.
And Karasu, I love your Sylar picture. You a Heroes fan?

Well, laser surgery might work...until your eyes started getting worse again. Though...I'm not entirely sure it would work in the first place. I'm not really planning to try it to test this out though...the procedure freaks me out a little. Also, my mother is pretty much blind even with her glasses and she's only 40. Things are certainly grim for those of us with this defect as far as sight is concerned.

Oh s**t, really. Man we'll both be blind. I dont know but my exact script but man can I not see anything without my glasses.
