Phoenix stood in the middle of one of the many hot pools of water. The hot spring steamed and gathered into red toned mist above her as she bathed. Although she was a saber with a thick pelt the heat of the water and within the cave did not bother her nor did she feel it. She hummed a haunting tune to herself. Whispers from the souls of the dead hummed about the cave as she sang her voice ringing out in the cave. Her flaming mane rippled and shimmered down her back as if it was true flames.

Iyce hesitated as he padded further into the cave, he was about to come face to face with the legend herself, phoenix. "Hello?" he called out as he wandered into the cool misty, but hot cave, in complete darkness. He swung his head as he heard a haunting tune 'must be her' he thought.

The song cut off sharply. Her ears twitched back as she heard someone enter her domain. She moved from the water and leaped upon several ledges to get up higher and into the mist where she was be hidden. Suddenly she belted out a roar at the trespasser.

Iyce froze then hesitated as he moved closer into the darkness of the cave. "It Is I the seer Iyce" he called out trying to sound polite to not intrude. But while he was walking and talking his front paw slipped into the ppol, sending ripples of water and echoes across the cave. He quickly jumped back but froze, his breath stopped too.

A growl sounded and seem to bounce and echo off the cave walls. There was sound of movement, but it seemed to come from several places. Not at the same time but rather one after the other and quickly as if something was coming. There was a sound as if a large animal let out a puff of air from it's efforts and another low growl. "Why have you come here," a voice asked.

"I wish to speak to you" he said as he breathed out slowly and stood straight again "I believe we both contain information from which we can both learn and discover with" he said as he turned his head to every sound of movement as it quickly changed from place to place.

"You want information from me?!" she said in a rather harsh tone. She has stilled somewhere in the cave having moved so much her true location was now unknown. Her voice echoed off the walls hidding her location further. "Information from me is not free."

"Well I do not have much to offer, only my powers and knowledge on healing and being a seer, and some of my finest ropes and jewels" he said as he tried to locate her though all the echoes confused him.

Iyce looked around trying to think where she was trying to tell him where to go, but he was blind. So he closed his eye's and waited till the picture form, it was the cave and the holes where to what seemed like his left, but everything was blurry and unclear. He opened his eye's again and walked left till his nose bumped into a wall, he placed his paws on it and sure enough found the holes. Inside he placed his prettiest jewel, a ruby red gem, very sparkly and clean. He also offered a very well knotted rope onto which could make jewelry "There you go m'lady" he said as he walked sightlessly back to where he felt the heat coming off her in heaps of waves.

A sound of soft foot steps alerted him to her movement as she made her way down from her high up perch to the holes in the walls. She inspected the treasures he laid inside. "Very well" she called and once again leaped to a high up ledge. "What is is you want to know first?"

"What I want to know is how I can rid of my curse!" he said as he turned to where he had heard her. He was pleased to know that she had accepted her gifts, but would she know enough to help him?.
