He was getting tired of it. Walking along with one of his many friends and meeting females, only to be left alone as the females chose his better-looking friends. He was tired of being the only one...with no one to love. Sure, he loved his pride, his friend Neo and his family...but he had no one to call his own.
The day was cool with a slight breeze that ruffled his mane. It took away most of his worries and sorrows, but he stil worried...about dying alone.

"Pride and Honor... two things you should never forget" were the only things echoing in the lioness's mind as she walked slowly, peacefully through the tall grass. Her father had spoken these words to her brother once who bragged them to her. Was she not worthy to be told these herself? It was something that had always bugged her but eventually her mother had told her that is was 'a guy thing'. Takhi was only a child when she asked her mother about it but the words still bugged her. Before her mother passed away to the poaching of humans, her father along with her, she asked again what the words ment. Her mother merely smiled while looking to her mate, Takhi's father, "You'll know when you see it."
Shaking the words from her mind she looked about, a peacful look on her face as she enjoyed the warming day. The cool waters of a shallow pool caught her intrest and soon she made her way over.
