Skuld spent another day out on the open savannah. She hadn't expected today to be any different than any other day, really. Skuld had been following an odd frog- he was mostly normal-colored except for a yellow spot, which had intrigued the young cheetah to begin with. She had followed it all the way out here, all the way until she was out in the middle of nowhere, watching what it did from the biggest distance she could (without losing sight of it.)
However, even the most curious creature could grow easily bored. The cheetah glanced up, and in the time that took, the frog was gone. "Hmph," She huffed quietly at the vanished-frog as her mind raced with something to do. Raced... Good idea!
Race against what? The wind? Sure, sounded good enough to her. Skuld hadn't stretched her legs in quite a while, hadn't run as hard as she could. She crouched down in the grass, eager to start her run... And then she took off! The little cheetah was quite fast for a juvenile, but she was getting older. She ran as fast as she could push herself, making random turns to practice agility until she reached her limit. Cheetahs had a way of overheating if they pushed as hard as they could for extended periods of time. Skuld slowed her sprint to a trot, then a quick walk, then a stop. She was panting heavily, but she was happy to have gotten that energy out of her system. She stood still for a moment, oblivious to anything around her.

Black toed paws trotted nearly silently on the drying grasses, the heat from the dry season was taking a toll on the plants in the open. White ears were perked attentive to every sound, every rustle that could be heard. The green striped female was out hunting, hoping to bring a sizable meal for her four growing children. Although she never could have imagined what she would find instead.
Tama heard the heavy pants of the young cheetah long before she ever saw her. She had been trotting in the opposite direction that Skuld was, her attention focused on the side and it was the pants that resulted in her calm turn of the head. Arching a brow she squinted trying to make out the shape in the distance as clearly as she could. Interest peeked she turned her body heading toward the feline.
A few paces and the lioness could make out just what had caught her attention. A cheetah... She thought cooly to herself remembering the words of her Emperor, maybe this female would be interested in join her house. She could definitely use some members, she only had her children and herself so far.

Skuld remained motionless and lowered her head until her breathing regularized (which was pretty quickly, surprisingly.) When her gold eyes returned to the land about her, they soon caught the sight of another feline, white and... green? Skuld's ears perked forward curiously as she trotted a bit closer to the figure. When she got close enough, the dark red cheetah called out, "Hello there!" She put her hope in the lioness being friendly- she didn't look dangerous, after all. She continued to approach until she was a few feet away, a decent distance for conversation. "My name's Skuld, who're you?" She asked with a little head tilt.

The minute she was called out to the lioness stopped in her tracks, waiting. A small smile spread across her lips as she replied, "Hello." Her voice was soft and polite while although it was not cheerful it was pleasant. Sinking down to her haunches she observed the young feline carefully taking into account age, species and from what she had seen ability.
All factors in her decision to work on convincing the female join her and her house. "Zagaa'Tamanio, Lady of the Southern House of Tianxia." She replied with a bow of her head. "It's nice to meet you, so far at least." She replied with a soft chuckle, a few of her past meetings hadn't been nearly as pleasant as the one was so far.

Having determined that the lioness before her was friendly, Skuld approached a little more and sat down herself, rounded tail flicking lightly behind her. "Nice to meet you too, Zagaa'Tamanio," Skuld said, using her full name since she had a title. While Skuld hadn't ever heard of Tianxia, it sounded impressive and she assumed that the lioness before her was highly significant.
"Pardon my question, but..." Skuld said, hoping it wasn't rude to say what she was about to say. "... What is the Southern House of Tianxia? I'd assume... somewhere in the South, but what's a house of Tianxia?" She hoped her cluelessness wouldn't be taken as an insult, she genuinely didn't know.

Tama's laugh was like a chime at that moment, soft and light lifted by the wind. "Tama is fine." She stated with a nod of her head before gesturing for the juve to come a bit closer. "Tianxia is my pride, or rather the pride I live in. It has four sections, The North, East, West, and South houses and the center where the Emperor and Empress live. I have my own territory within the pride, the Southern House, or Southern Territory." Tama began figuring it was best to describe Tianxia first.
Flicking her tail after a moment she decided it would be fine to continue. "My house contains the flatter regions of the highlands we live in. It's inhabitants have been gifted with the trait of speed and, or blessed by the element of fire." She continued pausing to see the other's response. "A cheetah would be a good addition." She mused.

Skuld's expression turned to a smirk. She'd never really heard of the highlands, but they sounded cool. The place that Tama described... Sounded completely unlike any pride she'd ever heard of. But... not in a bad way. In a really cool way. Her smirk grew much larger at the mention that its inhabitants were gifted with speed... Skuld loved running and while she wasn't the fastest cheetah in the world, she was well on her way. (She was, after all, much shorter than a full-grown adult.)
"It sounds... Amazing!" Skuld said when the opportunity arose to speak again, eyes alight at the idea. She'd never really given her future plans any thought... She had just intended to be a rogue. However... The opportunity to take a really cool step in her life had just presented itself, and she would be delighted to take it.
"I would be able to join you, then?" She asked, rising to all-fours, all of that previous seriousness toned down quite a bit. The young cheetah was unable to keep the excitement from her voice.

Pride couldn't help but swell in Tama's chest. She had been successful, for the most part, in recruiting her first member. "I am glad you think so." She commented. Maybe she was suited for this after all. For a while the lioness had doubted herself but now she no longer did. This was definitely a confidence booster. "I do believe you would, but you will be required to fulfill a small task as your acceptance into the pride." She stated her voice level.
"You will need to deliver a message to a white lioness with green under her eyes and upon her shoulder with the name of Malika'eusi in the pridelands," She paused to ensure the other was listening. Then she continued, "That Lady Zagaa'tamanio would like to request that she come spend time with her grandchildren in the highlands. She'll understand, then return with her message." She finished sliding to stand stretching her limbs. "Can you do that?"

((Would you like to RP Skuld finding Malika and relaying the message? Or is that how she's going to actually go to the highlands.))
Skuld was overjoyed to hear that she could join, but was not deflated when she heard of a task. She had expected something along those lines sooner or later. Skuld listened to what Tama had to say- a message to be relayed. Seemed easy enough, Skuld knew where the Pridelands were from here. Plus, armed with the name of the receiver, she'd certainly be able to find her. Once Tama had told her the entire message, Skuld played it back quickly in her head. "Got it, and I'll do it!" Skuld said proudly, glad that she had been entrusted with something she felt was highly significant. "Is that all I need to do?" Skuld asked before she was off.

[If you would like to then sure otherwise it's not needed, she can just relay that Malika's had cubs and can't come at this time. I figured it would be a good way for her to join Tianxia, Skuld that is.]
"That's all. Remember the flatter terrain is my territory." Tama reminded a smile on her features. "When you come you will be my personal messanger, alright. If you get lost and confronted by another lion just tell them I sent you." She instructed knowing just how careful her leaders and the other lords and ladies were. Trespassers were not always treated kindly, of course Skuld should have no problem. "They should help you find me if you need them to."

((I wasn't planning on it. XD Just wanted to know what she'd need to say, if we weren't going to RP it out. :3 And yeah, I think that's an awesome way for her to join. <3))
The little cheetah nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you, Lady Tama, for the chance!" Skuld said happily. She'd have to find her father to inform him, or her mother... Or any relative to spread news of her plan, but she would worry about that after she had relayed this message. Speed was important to her, as it had been in the past. Of course, it had been for fun then, it had purpose, meaning now. Skuld gave one last little dip of the head in appreciation before bolting off towards the pridelands. She repeated the message in her head once more to make sure it was cemented, and it was.

[Mkay, just set up another one and I'll reply <3]
Tama stayed where she was for a while watching the little cheetah dart off with so much enthusiasm. Certainly she had found herself a perfect messenger, a nice addition to her house. Things only seemed to shine brighter before her now. Turning she began to trot back to where she had instructed her children to stay completely forgetting about the reason she came this way in the beginning. It was no matter though, they would understand.
