"Come on... The stream is this way." She smiled brightly as she lead her younger brother through the woods towards the stream that she had played in when she was younger. It was the sort of stream that seemed to stay nice and cool no matter how warm the day was and today was certainly a day for cool water. Beautiful as it was with the bright sun and gentle breeze she thought it would only be nicer.
He shook his head to clear his mind from whatever it was that he'd been thinking as he stared off, turning to quickly trot after his sister. "Yes, Memory." She sure was nice, taking him along with her and all. The forest was so big... At least his sister knew where she was going. She said that it would be fun. He hoped so.

Naina was glad to have a nice walk this morning,but she had not been fond of being up so early..She had been woken by her rambuctious colt, that had since taken over her nights and days.
She yawned a bit, while she kept a careful eye on her young son and brother as they ran beside her, sometimes dawdling on one object for too long, making her have to retrieve them.
"Boys, stay with me now."
She called as they started to go a little faster than she was willing to keep up so early.
Soon there would be the stream, and then there would be a good drink.
But never did she remove her eyes from Julian or Marc.

Julian had been playing a bit with his nephew, though Marc didn't look his nephew at all. He could have been Marc's brother in age, and thats almost what he was. Though Julian outright disliked the colt that carried his sisters blood.. He was too prissy..Too flouncy, and by God, Julian knew he looked better hten Marc, even as a Colt.
He rose his eyebrows a bit as they came over the hill, and the promise of the stream was too great, and he took off to the water without listening to Naina's call.

Marcellin had been frolicking his way through the plains. He was happy to have the sun on his back, and have such company as his mother and Uncle..Though he saw Julian as more of an older brother..Julian always seemed to be angry at him..
But Marc didn't mind..He accepted the mean behavior that was sometimes Julians own, and continued loving him.
"Yes mama!"
He called back, and slowed slightly, watching Julian take off.

She glanced up as she heard movement, pausing in the bushes beside the stream. Had her wings been made of anything more than light she would have stretched them out to stop her sibling from moving forward, instead find that he passed through them easily. "Eid..." She murmured softly, not wanting him to get into any sort of trouble that she couldn't get him out of.
He didn't hear his sister say his name and paid no mind to the shimmer that he'd passed through, quite used to soft, glowing things from being around his mother. He trotted right on up to the stream, poking his muzzle at the water to take a drink. "Mm..." It was good and cold, just like Memory had said it would be.
"Eid..."

Julian bulldozed down the hill like he could not control himself, and as he reached the water, he tried to stop,and did nothing more than splash into the stream headfirst.
Sitting up, he grumbled. His nose ached now, and he had made a fool out of himself.
But why should he care?
Looking to the other colt, he narrowed his eyebrows.
Why had Naina taken him where others were? She knew how he felt about other Soquili...
But then henoticed themare,and something about the colts traveling partner was familiar.
Marcellin was next over the hill, trotting in a prance down the side. He had seen Julian fall in, and he gave a small giggle. He lived for moments like that.. Maybe it would remind Julian that he was nothing more than normal himself.
"Julian? Are you okay?"
He called out, as he walked.
When his hooves reached the streams edge, he took took a look at the pair, and cocked his head.
"Momma!"
He cried out, as if warning her others were here.
Naina came over the hill, and still she blinked away the sleep in her eyes, and yawned once more before she heard her sons cry for her.
"Marc?" She called back, as he was a bit further than she was, and shecould not see what they were both staring at.
As she picked up her pace a little bit, she finally started to see the other colt, and her chest sighed with relief..Least he wasnt danger..

He heard the splash, eyes going wide as he backed up quickly, skittering towards the brush that Memory was standing in. "Mem..." He frowned, attempting to duck between her legs. The noise had been loud and unexpected... Although, if he had been paying attention to his sister in the first place he might have had a bit of warning.
"I tried to tell you." She leaned down, carefully touching her nose to her small sibling before glancing up, head tilting to the side as she eyed the two foals. One of them was a very familiar shade of blue... And there was something... Something she couldn't quite place her hoof on about the shade of brown on the other.

Naina smiled as she neared the edge of the stream,and looked to her sister with utmost delight.
"Mems!"
She called to the mare who was glancing at Julian. Naina could only guess that Memory was trying to place him..He did look alot like father after all..
Julian raised an eyebrow again as Naina called out to this mare..She spoke to her like she knew her! What was this about? He flicked his tail, looking back down with his colder blue gaze at the other colt hiding behind Memory..
"Wuss.."
He muttered quietly.
Marc stayed at his mothers legs, watching the two strangers,and trying to peice together why hismother knew this strangely familiar mare.. She almost looked like mother..Except she had fluttery wings,and Marcs mouth dropped as he simply stared

"Naina!" She smiled brightly, stepping around Eidolon so that she could trot out to meet her sister. Her neck stretched so that she could touch her nose to her sister's cheek before shying back to look at the two foals. "Are these... Both yours? I didn't think it had been that long since I'd last seen you... Foals!"
He stepped up, watching his elder sister for a moment before moving after her. If she thought it was okay to talk to these strangers than it had to be, of course. She wouldn't do something that would wind up getting them into trouble.

Naina nuzzled her sister, inhaling her scent and enjoying the little bit of sister time they got every now and again.
"Oh heavens no!"
She giggled.
"This is Marcellin," She said, motioning to the foal at her legs.
"He is mine."She said, beaming with pride, and lowering her head to nuzzle the little colt.
"And that brown sour puss over there." She glanced at Julian, pointing him out with her muzzle.
"Thats your half brother Julian."
She smiled at the colt.
"Is that one yours?"
Julian's ears perked at this,and he widened his eyes.So that was it..That mare was his older sister? Geez.. Father had really been going for the special ones hadnt he..He thought, looking at the mares glowy wings and pointy curved horn.. She was indeed a special one..He looked to his sister and almost laughed. Naina and Memory were fools to show their closeness so openly..Only fools were vulnerable and let others know their weaknesses.
At that thought, he hmphed and lowered his eyes, staring from under eyelids.
Marcellin smiled, so this was his aunt? Oh he loved meeting relatives..They were so interesting! Both his fathers sister andhismothers sister had Flutter wings! They were gorgeous!
Marc bowed slightly and looked up from under his two-toned mane.
"Nice to meet you."
Then he looked to the colt by Mems legs.

"That one... Oh! No! That's..." She turned, motioning for Eidolon to come closer so that she could introduce him properly. "This is Eidolon, our little brother... And we have two new sisters as well." She smiled brightly before turning her attention to the foals, particularly Naina's son. "He looks so much like you..."
He puffed up at the sound of his name, standing as proudly as he could before bowing his head in the direction of the other mare. "It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am."
At that she giggled, shaking her head slowly before leaning down to give Eid a gentle nudge. "Not 'ma'am', silly. Naina... She's my sister, like Era and Elysia are yours."

Naina smiled, and nudged the colt gently.
"Its a pleasure to meet you little brother."
She said, smiling has warmly as she could.
Looking back up at Memory, she smiled and nodded.
"Oh yes. He does bear a striking resemblance to me.. Hes such a good boy though..Really.."
Julian stood, growing very bored of his position, and approached..Mainly to sniff theother colt and to pass his final verdict.
He raised an eyebrow, his mouth sort of in a stern grimace.
"Hello." Was all he offered.
Marc looked at the colt and smiled.
"My names Marc! Do you like to play?"

"As long as he's staying out of trouble." She chuckled softly, giving her head a light toss. "To think... That they're all foals together. I imagine it must be nice, growing up alongside others. Do they get along? Your children... And Father's?"
His nose scrunched as he was eyed, leaning back to stare in return at the odd foal that had said 'hello'. "Who're you?" That question, of course, was quickly forgotten as he caught sight of a bright smile and a better question. "Yes! Memory brought me here to play in the water. She said that she used to play here with her brother when she was little like me... Well, little like Era, because she's not a boy like me."

Naina nodded, giggling.
"I would have loved to have other foals about when I was raised,thats for sure. It was just me and father in a warm little cave in the mountains."
She looked at the three young boys and grinned.
"Oh for the most part.. "
She leaned in to whisper.
"Though I think Marc likes Julian more than the other way around."
She laughed.
Julian groaned.
Foul woman..whispering her words against him..His sapphire eyes twinkled and he shook hishead. The little Eidolon stared at him and he glared back a bit.
"So hes my half brother..and you're my half sister?"
He asked, looking at Memory.
Marcellin beamed.
"Really?! I love to play! Julian never wants to really..But I enjoy catching butterflies.."
He s aid, looking as if he was going to bounce about.

"I'd at least like to think that we're starting to make up for lost time though." She nodded, smiling brightly before glancing down at the foal who seemed far too cold for as young as he was. "I'm your half sister... Your father is my father. Eid is Naina's half brother because they share a mother. The two of you don't have any blood ties to one another..." It was strange thinking about it that way, really.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Julian."
"I've chased them before... But I've never tried to catch them. Memory says that their wings are very delicate. One of Memory's friends has wings like a butterfly. They're very pretty." He nodded slowly, tail flickering behind him.

Naina beamed and nodded.
"Lost time is definately being made up. Who knew that you and I were going to be close when we aged? Its a lovely miracle."
She said nodding and grinning.
She looked down at Julian and nudged him.
"Why dont you let your sisters talk girly things, and go play with your Nephew,and Eidolon."
She said, her eyes soft.
Julian gruffed. He was not about to be told to move along..
"I don't play.. I learn."
He said as he stood up, not really liking the idea of girl talk either.
He walked back to the edge of the water., and laid down, watching the fish under the surface.
Marcellin smiled and nodded.
"Oh yes, they're very fragile. My Aunt Mittrei, my fathers sister, she has large moth wings that glimmer in the night. They are so pretty.."
He said daydreaming a bit.
He blinked and shook his head.
"Youre it!"
He said, tagging Eidolon and taking off.

"I'm glad that we are." She smiled softly, closing her eyes for a moment as she drifted into thought. "Watching Draven's daughters grow up together... It... Showed me what I was missing, growing up with a sister. I really like knowing that we can run into each other like this... And have these talks... And be a part of each other's lives."
"My mo-- Hey!" He laughed as the other took off, turning so that he could chase after the other foal. It was fun to have someone his age to play with that wasn't a sister. Sister's were fun and all... But they just weren't another boy.
