 Shiboo sat under a tree, picking apart a poor flower as he waited for Obi to show. Ishie had told him that today they would be going on a "date" to get reaquanted with each other. He had never been on a date before, so it only made sense that he was nervouse. What if I mess up? On the picture box that Ishie always watches, men usually brought flowers to their dates. Shiboo looked down at the destroyed flower that he held in his paw, he had messed up already.

 She was so nervous about this "date" thing. She only heard about it last night, and naturally, she was mauled by Matrix, Dancer, Artemis and even Lucas so she could look pretty. As she rounded a tree and saw Shiboo sitting under a large oak, she walked slower just as a breeze picked up and caught her hair. Her hood was down and her long flowing ebony hair was billowing gently in the breeze, a few strands drapped over her topaz eyes.

Shiboo wasn't aware that Obi had arrived. He was to preoccupied with ways that he could ruin this. WWith each new thought he sunk lower and lower to the ground. The paw holding the flower slowly rose to his mouth. Unknowingly, he bit the flower off its stem. His eyes widened as the nasty taste brought his mand back to reality. Flowers petals flew out of his mouth as he spat the flower out. "Yuck!"

Obsidian giggled as she saw Shiboo absent-mindedly eat the flower. "I'm not sure you're supposed to eat those", she said as she sat there, the sun beaming upon her left side and her hair flowing to the right in the wind. Her eyes half closed in a cute expression that she learned from Matrix, the sun making them look ablaze.

Shiboo jumped in startlement, his cheeks ablaze when he realized he was caught. He turned to face Obi and he froze up, as he usually did when around her. He searched him mind for words, any words! "You look pretty." Of course that's an understatement, she looks gorgeous!! Start speaking up more ya idiot!! e hushes his inner voice and held out the flower's stem. "This is for you." Looks and suddenly remembers that he bit off the flowers. Lets out a nervouse laugh, his lips formed a sheepish smiles as he tossed them stem away.

She turned her head to the left, letting her hair billow out more, her right eye looks towards Shiboo as she mutter, "Why thank you...your looking..dashing yourself, and I loved the gift." Her head turned suddenly and her eyes opened wide, "Oh..but I don't have anything for you...", she lowered her head and her hair drapped down over it, "I failed..."

Distress filled Shiboo as his mind furiously worked to come up with a way to convince Obi that she's done nothing wrong. "No, you didn't fail. In the things Ishie watches on the picture box, the guy brings a gift for his date. The only time a girl brings a gift is when it's the guy's birthday or something. And it's not my birthday! So no gift." While all this flew from his mouth he resisted flailing his paws in the air.

She looked up towards Shiboo, her eyes once again ablaze in brillance from the setting sun. "Shiboo .... do you love me ...", she asked only because she's been thinking about all that she did. The Mirror Palace, the evilness that consumed her...her heart felt so broken from losing the loves of her life. The more she thought about it, the more it hurt, until a single tear slipped from her left eye and ran down her face.

Shiboo's distress level went up to the point of near panic. "Yes I love you, have I done something to make you doubt that?" He lifted up his paw to wipe away her tear but stopped about half way there. If she was mad at him, then maybe she wouldn't want him touching her.

Her spirits lifted when he said he did, thus she just lunged at him into a hug. "Oh Shiboo...I'm so sorry....I am so .. so...sorry", to this point she was crying. "All that I did ... and your love still stood strong....", she sobbed before going back to bawling hard.

His paws found their way onto the sobbing and rubbed in small circles in an attempt to soothe her. The fact of the matter was that he didn't know all that she did while she was away. And honestly, he didn't want to know. All he cared about was that she was back. He nuzzled the side of her head, trying to convey that he was still with her, and that he wasn't going anywhere.
