Please, do not post in this thread for any reason.
And this is how it feels when I, Ignore the words you spoke to me And this is where I lose myself, When I keep running away from you And this is who I am when, When I don't know myself anymore And this is what I choose when, It's all left up to me.
This is going to be a thread in which I post RPs revolving around the events and consequences of Yuki and Blackie's developing relationship. It is still a work in progress, obviously. If an RP is not finished, it will be noted at the top of the post.
I know I could have put this in my journal, but since it focuses mainly on one to three of my pets/characters, I figured that giving it a thread all its own would be for the best. I do hope that any readers enjoy what is here to be seen.
I would also like to explain Yuki as well as I can manage, for those unfamiliar with his character that might curiously wander into this thread. Yuki (as well as Dynast), here from the PSoH, is a fabrication of a member of Hitsuzen's family. For those familiar with the PSoH series, think of him on the same level as the rabbit from the chapter Daughter. He may look like her brother, but he is in fact only an animal behind the facade. In this shop, however, for the sake of more interesting RP, there is the option to give 'cosplay' pets the same memories and powers (within reason) as those they are imitating. These have been set into place for Yuki, but perhaps not entirely as expected.
Yuki is aware that he is not the real, well... Yuki. Though, as time goes on, this fact has been overlooked and basically thrown to the wind. His attention and love toward Hitsu isn't in the slightest bit fraudulent, and he'd do anything to keep her safe and content. As far as he is concerned, they are true siblings. He holds close to the same physical and magical powers as the original, though he hardly ever makes it known. Something else he does just the same as his counterpart; Tries to hide that he is anything aside from ordinary. He will only use his inhuman (inanimal?) abilities when the situation is desperate, and even then it is typically only when someone else is in danger.
Some of his memories are blurry, some are completely omitted from his mind. The Count isn't exactly sure why, but to himself believes that the forgotten bits and pieces of his life are things best left unknown. Things that would potentially stand in the way of allowing the fabrication to do what he was summoned for; Protecting his house mates and caretaker, or sister as he 'knew' her, from Dynast. As Dynast is the fabrication of the father that they both fear and despise, Yuki up to this point has been the only one, with the most mentionable confidence and lack of fear in the household, to stand up to him. His regenerative abilities, while slower than Dynast's, have always been his saving grace. Without Yuki to aid them, surely others would fall at Dynast's hand. Should these missing memories resurface, especially should they contain most any form of interaction with the true Dynast, it could result in devastation.
And this is how it looks when, I am standing on the edge And this is how I break apart, When I finally hit the ground And this is how it hurts when I, Pretend I don't feel any pain And this is how I disappear, When I throw myself away.

Guide Characters Sadie & Blackie Yuki 2D Fred & George Vincent
Took Place Over PM
The sun had just barely set as it’s glow was still apparent upon the horizon as Sadie and her ‘pet’, if you could call it that, had entered the local park. It had been a dismal day as Sadie had been ‘cleaning’ what house she could while maintaining the store of insects that Blackie would no doubt consume just as soon as they went home. Still the pair were out for an evening stroll enjoying the night air, Blackie was more then her shivering house mate.
“Come on, it’s a beautiful night.” Blackie proclaimed with her bare arms stretched out over her head, “You are too up tight, and you should sleep more then you do.” She said with a small air of concern.
“I don’t much like the cold, Blackie. I’m not hot blooded like you are.” Sadie huffed, “If I were trusting I would let you wander alone, as it is, I don’t trust you.”
Blackie snorted a laugh as she fixed her sleeveless shirt about her shoulders, her legs were bound in black slacks, her feet were bare as normal. For the life of her, Sadie could never make the girl wear shoes, or at least sandals. Something to protect her feet from anything sharp on the ground. Sadie was clothed in a somewhat long sleeved shirt and jeans, though she always eyed Blackie with envy that she never got chilled in the night air.
Still this outing was good for the both of them, if it had been possible, Sadie would drag Blackie out when it was still daylight, but that was a lost cause as Blackie hated the sunlight and always remained in her blacked out, web infested room. The only time she came out was when she was hungry and needed something to snack on. At least out here they could walk in peace and Blackie could ‘snack’ on anything she could catch…
Not too far off from the two, sitting upon the top of a picnic table with feet resting on the board that most would typically sit on, was Yuki. Typical attire adorned him, clothing that would doubtlessly gain him a 'goth' label from the older generations. He had been peering off absently in the direction of the dwindling glow, admiring the lingering colors in the sky as though he had never seen the sunset before. He hadn't seen them yet, but had overheard their conversation. They were several yards to his left, and he soon aimed his attention toward them.
Mulling over his thoughts for a moment more, Yuki rose and stepped down into the grass. Slowly, he approached them. Addressing the one who he seemed to sense as more welcoming in mood; Blackie. "Little dark out for young ladies to be wandering around alone, isn't it?"
Both heads turned toward the approaching male, Sadie of course glared as she seemed less the happy to see anyone else this evening, let alone even being OUT in the night. Blackie on the other hand gave a fangy smile, her dark eyes watching him, considering many thoughtss before answering him.
"Oh come now, don't have to worry about lil' ol' me." She teased, though looked at Sadie with a frown, "She's the one to worry about." Black smiled soon ducking under a rock that had come flying her way.
"If I had my way, you would not be stuck in your room all day and insist on these nightly walks." Sadie shouted shaking a fist at the most innocent looking Spider.
"She gets Cranky in the cold." Black whispered to the male as she had somehow gotten behind him as if expecting anything else to come flying her way. "Besides I could ask the same for you. Seems odd to find anyone else out here. Alone. Unattended."
Smiled trailing a finger up his back and about his shoulders. But that motion ended as she circled around to again stand beside Sadie who glared at her for some reason. Blackie bumped Sadie, hoping to improve her mood, but it seemed that the chilly night air was making it worse. So she gave up and merely watched Yuki, while Sadie walked over to a bench and sat down upon it. Watching the pair, but never letting Blackie out of her sight.
Sadie's glare caused Yuki to pause in his approach, a sheepish smile forming on his lips. Okay, so one of them wasn't very social. This was confirmed as he watched a rock whiz past the taller of the two, and he raised a brow at Sadie's shouting.
As Blackie slipped up behind him unnoticed, he drew in a quick breath. Yuki wasn't one keen on being surprised from behind, as more often than not it was followed by some sort of attack. He released his gasp in a bit of a nervous chuckle, just as quickly noting that he was not under threat, and no sooner had he opened his mouth to speak she'd run her fingers up his spine. Yuki gave an involuntary shudder. He silently thanked the darkness, he could feel his cheeks warming. It wasn't often a girl flirted with him, and in doing so she'd completely thrown him off. "I... Guess not..." He muttered, apparently in response of Blackie assuring him he needn't worry about her. Fingers swept through his hair, as he tried to regain his composure. He looked up to Blackie, eyes darting to the retreating Sadie, then back to Blackie again. "So, uh... What brings you here at this hour?"
Blackie shifted her stance as her dark eyes glanced up toward the skies over head, it was a nice night. Though her tongue had to escape her lips as she sighted a moth hovering around a lamp. Blinking a moment she barely realized what she had done in front of company, male company, at that. Smiling her small fangs protruded from where normal human canines were supposed to be she turned her gaze back to the skies, trying to ignore the fluttering moth.
"Doing? Out here? Getting some fresh air, my room does get a bit stuffy from time to time." Blackie smiled staking a small step toward Yuki, her movement was a little less then graceful, but enough to presume her ancestry. "plus it's a good evening to find a bite to eat, things that have been in the fridge tend to lose their flavor over time..." She all but pouted at the thought of flavorless insects "What might you be doing out here? Looking for a bite to eat as well?" she asked tilting her head to the side, minding to keep an ear on Sadie who still sat behind her... "Though I do think that my house mate should head home where it's warmer, and to her bed." Blackie shouted toward Sadie who huffed.
"Fine, but keep out of trouble, or you might had a new skylight in your room." Sadie threatened as she stood and headed back toward home, leaving her pet alone with the male. Blackie would be fine, just as long as she didn't go too far and end up biting anyone...
Yuki followed her gaze a moment, but didn't catch onto what had gathered the girl's attention so eagerly. He looked to her as she smiled, apparently not effected by a toothy grin. After all, fangs weren't at all uncommon where they had come from.
"Little of the same..." He replied, cutting himself off as Blackie practically demanded that the other woman leave them be. He quirked a brow, watching as Sadie walked off. Well, I can see who's the dominant one... Gaze trailed back to Blackie, and he continued. "It's rather... Chaotic in my household. It's nice to get out every now and again to have peace and quiet. To think."
Blackie tilted her head a little to one side, letting her short cropped hair shift with the movements, a thick lock covering one of her black and bright blue eyes from sight. She couldn’t imagine her house hold being chaotic with only herself and the human occupying it. Shaking her head some, she the house in that manner, outside her own cobwebbed room at least. Blackie had to wonder what kind of Chaos could possibly be happening back at his house, bad enough that he would want to leave.
“Is it that bad?” She asked crossing her arms lightly before her. “A little chaos sounds fun. But will you excuse me for a moment.” She said holding up an digit soon turning and slinking off toward where she could hear the flutter of moth wings.
Coming to the lamp, she stood at the base for a moment before a string of thread escaped her mouth and caught onto the lamp pole, thus that she climbed and watched the moth before it came into reach. Which didn’t take long before she walked casually back toward Yuki licking her fingers as if she had just eaten something that had gotten them mess.
“Sorry about that.” She smiled turning a little to press her back against his chest all cute like. “I would like to see what this chaotic household of yours is like. It’s got to be better then my home, where everything is always so quiet.” Blackie frowned.
"Better believe it." Yuki replied to the girl's question, his expression hinting his amusement of whatever images surfaced in his mind. "I decided that eight threats on my life in a single day gave good reason to go out for a few hours. To let things-- Hmm?" He cut himself off, watching her in a mixture of curiosity and confusion as she walked away. Had he not answered her question properly? Was he supposed to follow after her? He couldn't rightly remember the last time a woman had given him more than a brief glance or short word. Of course, in his case, even those memories were not truly his own... And the forgotten ones were safer to remain as such, but he was slowly edging toward a line that he didn't know the risks of crossing.
To say that he was surprised by what he witnessed Blackie do might have been an understatement, his eyes grew wide for a moment, and he grimaced lightly once she'd captured and promptly devoured the moth. At first, he found it disgusting, but quickly recomposed himself before she could see the expression that suggested it. However, as she approached, he couldn't help his curiosity. "So, how'd you meet up with that friend of yours? She doesn't seem like, well, your type."
Then, she'd leaned on him. Yuki fell silent, his blush returning with a fury. He fumbled with his own hands a moment, mentally battling with himself on which areas had gotten him hurt before. Waist? No. Around her chest? Oh, God no. It took only a second or two, though to him it felt longer, before he finally placed one hand gently on each shoulder. That would be safe, right?
Her statement caught him off guard, and he actually had to take a moment to absorb the words and formulate a reply. "W-what?" Some reply. "You mean, r-right now?" She couldn't be serious, could she? Though, in the back of his mind he saw himself with the girl on his arm. Alongside him. In his home. It certainly wasn't a bad picture. Especially when the daydream didn't include anything dangerous.
“Hmm? Oh Sadie, she happens to be my keeper, though she’s such a quite thing besides when she’s cranky.” Blackie shrugged just before she felt him place a hand on her shoulder.
Blackie could feel that he was fighting back some urge, a primeval one she supposed. Shifting a little, letting his hand remain on one shoulder, but making his arm rest upon her other shoulder, in a sort of ‘friendly’ type way she’d seen other ‘humans’ display out in the pure sunlight. Watching Yuki for a moment she let his last questions sink in a bit.
“Well we don’t have to go now,” She admitted, “We could just walk around the park, though I would like to know how your household is chaotic. Too many people living under one roof?”
She asked tilting her head to one side, though she offered to walk around the park for a while. It seemed harmless, perhaps a little while later she could convince him to take her to his home. Meet the… Others in his house hold. And try not to ‘bite’ anyone that just happened to look at her strangely… It was going to be hard, but she could do it. Smiling again she ‘snuggled’ in close to Yuki, giving the gesture of being ‘cold’ even if it was still quite warm outside.
"Sadie." He repeated quietly, perhaps merely to acknowledge the fact that he'd heard her. Though something about that name seemed familiar to him, he brushed it off as a coincidence. He forced his arm to relax when she moved it on her own, and once she'd tugged his hand over her shoulder he wrapped it gently around the area of her collarbone without much forethought. The other hand shifted, but just barely. He'd caught himself, before he managed to follow his desire to wrap the other around her middle. It was a miracle in itself that he didn't, really. She certainly wasn't helping make the situation any less tempting.
He seemed finally to think on what he was doing, and slowly withdrew his arm from around her. "S-sorry." He stammered, taking a single step backward to put a few inches of distance between them. "Sorry." She was clearly the one trying to be seductive, and he was the one trying to take the blame for it. He leaned his head back to face the sky, giving it a pleading glance as though the stars would give him instruction. Much to his dismay, there was no answer. He brushed absently through his hair with one hand, turning his attention back to her when she spoke. A walk? That sounded like something he'd be able to do.
"Sure, that sounds nice." He replied, forcing a smile. Not that he didn't want to smile, but standing slack-jawed seemed more along the lines of how he felt right now. He never could have guessed that when he was out, not even looking for anything at all, a girl had shown up. Not only that, but she was coming onto him. It was certainly new, but confusing. Yet, at the same time, exciting.
"Overcrowding is one problem," He started, apparently forming his words a lot easier without the physical contact. "Two large families in one house. Not to say the place is small... But, when everyone doesn't get along, you've go-" Apparently, distance wasn't something that he was allowed. She pressed herself against him again, and his speech wavered again. "P-prob-lems."
She's going to think I'm an idiot! He thought to himself, halfway panic-stricken at this point. This was bad, but fantastic. He had to regain his cool, and not destroy what chance he might have of keeping this one longer than a few short minutes. "Why don't we..." He began to suggest, gently drawing himself away from her, though only to stand alongside as to easier drape an arm over her shoulders. "Take that walk?"
Blackie had felt him tense up a little as she shifted about and drew herself closer to him. This made her watch him with a curious eye, was she making him uncomfortable? Surely not, all men liked having girls around, though some had harder time controlling the smallest of impulses. She could tell that he was fighting them, but for how long would it last before he couldn’t control them anymore and his hands… Were in other places? Stepping forward, she allowed his arm to drape over her shoulders again, though she brushed off his ‘sorry’, he didn’t have anything to be sorry about.
“Don’t worry about being sorry, you didn’t do anything… Yet.” She purred, “Though it must be frustrating in a house where everyone seems to be on everyone’s case. Perhaps someone should teach them a lesson?” she offered, not really know how chaotic his household was, it certainly would be more then she could handle.
He gave barely a nod in acknowledgment of her reply to his apology, though her added yet certainly darkened the tint of his cheeks again. Why did she have to keep doing that? He purposefully adverted his gaze from her, and began to lead her away from where they stood. "Frustrating is the least I could say..." He murmured, truth be told not intending that to be a response to what she may have interpreted it as. The next statement, however, was. He chuckled, "Fat chance, Hitsu would kill me if I got into a scuffle with anyone in the house. Save one, but there's not much choice when it comes to him..."
“This Hitsu sounds like someone who doesn’t like conflict, much like my own house mate. I cause a little trouble and she threatens with either cleaning my room, or something like that.” Blackie shrugged walking beside Yuki. “Though this, ‘him’ sounds like, I don’t know, a brute?” She paused to think, “Maybe that’s too kind a word?”
Blackie turned her gaze toward the skies, watching the night life that flickered over head . She took kindly on bats, feeling a bond with the few that shared her room with her, though she minded not to disturb them during the day as they slept. There were moments she wished she could fly with them, but that wasn’t possible, she lacked the wings and know how. Shaking her head some, her hair waving about her head, a hand placing itself upon the black and crimson chocker about her throat. At times she even forgot that she had it, a gift. Though from whom or where she didn’t quite know…
“The night life is sure lively tonight,” Blackie softly laughed as she turned her bright blue gaze back to the skies. “So many bats out, sometimes I wish I could fly like them, though I lack the wings and the know how. What about you?” she wondered turning an eye toward Yuki. “Ever wish you could do something that physically you couldn’t?”
This, he could deal with. Calm conversation, without her cruel yet wonderful taunting. "She just doesn't want anyone to get hurt." He explained, "With good reason, we've had a handful of close calls so far. Though, things have calmed down a little with the 'brute' since the second family arrived. I'm thankful for that much..." He'd looked down to her, and followed her gaze. She admired the bats, while he admired the stars. At times he had taken to the sky, just to feel closer to the Heavens, it brought quite the peaceful feeling.
"Seems so, but I can understand." He said, glancing toward the bats fluttering about in the darkness. "It's a pleasant night." Indeed it was, the temperature wasn't uncomfortable, and the weather was clear aside from the occasional faint breeze. He could stay out here all night, if nothing stopped him. He smiled softly down to her as she shared her dream with him, and nodded lightly. The question that followed gained an answer that likely was not expected. The smile on his face remained, "Mhmm." The words left his lips in a very calm and casual tone, as though his own dream was nothing at all out of the ordinary. "I've always wondered what it would be like... To die."
Blackie looked at Yuki oddly when he mentioned about dying, that was a strange thing to wonder. She had never wanted to know what it felt like, nor did she even want to think about dying. Shaking her head she looked away, a little ashamed of asking that question. It hadn’t been the exact question she had been expecting and didn’t want to pursue it any further then that. Death was one thing she never wanted to talk about, unsure as to why, but it wasn’t a comfortable subject. It made her very… uneasy to say the least, shaking it from her mind she wanted to talk about something else, what she didn’t know.
“That is one thing I would never want to experience.” She shuddered as if she had been suddenly dropped into an icy pond in the middle of winter. “Anything else besides that?” she wondered hoping for a brighter response.
He'd looked down to her after his answer, his smile fading as she gave him a strange glance. She'd asked, hadn't she? Well, now that he thought about it, perhaps it wasn't so odd that she wouldn't understand what he meant. He took the hint, and dropped the morbid subject when she questioned him a second time. He merely gave a shrug, "Otherwise? Not really."
Of course, that didn't much provide to the conversation, so he tried something further. "You know, I'm here walking with a pretty girl under the stars, and I don't even know her name..." He said thoughtfully, tilting his head to look at her curiously. It was true; He'd learned the caretaker's name, but not hers.
A pale blush came to Blackie’s face as it seemed that she had never spoken of her own name. Being that their conversation got this far and she was still a mystery girl to the poor boy. Averting her gaze a little away from him so that he didn’t see her small shame, the hand upon her choker started to fidget a little. He had cornered her like a cat would corner a mouse. There was also the comment about her being pretty, she didn’t think so, just her stare alone was enough to scare someone just about out of their skins.
“Silly me.” She laughed shallowly. “My name is Blackie. Not the most regal name, but it tends to fit I supposed.” Blackie shrugged feeling that most of the sentence wasn’t really needed to be known. “Don’t think I caught your name either, we be two strangers spending the night walking alone in the park” Her voice coming at the tone of a purr.
Then again, the stranger part didn’t seem to bad to her, it wouldn’t leave any guilt on her conscience. But this one was too cute to lure back to her webbed room and leave all tied up to feast off later. Then again, other human wasn’t really on her menu, she was perfectly fine with the bugs and insects she was provided daily, even if some were a bit… Out dated… Perhaps she could get Sadie to find better insect dealer and purchase from them, she would have to keep that in mind for later.
A grin crept across Yuki's lips, Looks like I've gotten her back. Of course, he'd blushed several times already from the moment of their meeting, so he had to see what he could do to make things even. His nerves were steadily calming the longer he spent with her, he was thankful for it. He inclined his head upon her introduction, and smiled. "I like it, it's simple. Blackie."
That tone she kept using certainly bothered him, but not in an unpleasant way. He liked it, though his mind was working overtime trying to determine how he was supposed to respond to it without acquiring a slap. "I'm Yuki." He said, chuckling lightly thereafter. "Spending the night? How long did you plan on staying out here?" Certainly, that caretaker of hers would worry if she didn't return home, wouldn't she? "But, if you can take the cold, you've got my company for as long as you like." After all, it would be foolish to leave a young woman alone out here after dark.
“I tend to stay out all night to pretty much dawn, unless it gets too cold then I return home.” She shivered at the though of the air growing too cold for her to stand. “Though I still would like to see your home sometime, perhaps meet those you live with?”
Blackie gave a smile when he had said that he liked her name, that it was simple. She liked his as well, being that he was the first that she met that either didn’t run away from her like she was the plague or try and chase her away. She kinda liked that feeling of being wanted, somewhere.
“And don’t worry about Sadie too much, it’s not like she will wait up. She knows I’ll be home, she threatens too much about my room.” She hissed slightly at the thought of a well lit room. “Anyway, it’s a gorgeous night and you’re a gorgeous man. So I can’t complain, I wouldn’t want this night to turn out any different.” Blackie smiled as an arm wrapped itself around Yuki’s waist, thin fingers tickling at his side.
"Must be nice, I usually only stay out for a couple of hours or so." He paused a moment, perhaps trying to determine how long he'd been out so far. Then again, when would he get another chance like this? "I'm sure someone would come looking for me, if I was missed." Or needed, but he didn't want to get into that. She sure seemed keen on coming home with him, and honestly, he wasn't about to argue with her about it. A girl, coming home with him. It certainly sounded like a great idea.
"I admit, I had wondered." He replied, "Though... She didn't seem too concerned, to leave you alone here." Well, not alone, but he was a stranger to them. Honestly, what if he hadn't been trustworthy? Her compliment brought a laugh, "Gorgeous? That's new, I don't think I've ever been called gorgeous before." He gave a small jerk to try and escape her tickling. Then, in retaliation, swept his free arm around her stomach, to her opposite side to return the favor. Though, this position made walking awkward, so he paused in doing so. He put himself in her path, and resorted in using both hands to tickle both sides of her. Of course he didn't know what it meant to 'fight' fair, it sorta ran in the family. He leaned in close, and questioned her with a smile and playful mock-tone. "Call mercy, now?" His smile broadened a bit. If half of the household could see him now, how disgusted would they be of this childish behavior? He was certainly enjoying this to its fullest.
Blackie just about busted at the seams when Yuki came around for a counter attack to her tickling him. But he didn’t play fair, he used both hands where she had only used one. Squirming and trying to wiggle away, too full of laughing to try and counter his attack. But she wouldn’t call mercy, she never called mercy. Normally she’d the one asking her prey to call mercy. Finally wiggling away, her laughing calming only a little before she came back at Yuki, slim fingers tickling now at his sides again. She wasn’t going to play fair if he wasn’t.
“I never call mercy.” She teased getting back at him. “Will you?”
Bearing a grin of her own, this was going to be a tickle fight that no would possibly win. Though she broke away from Yuki and folded her arms behind her head, leaning away from him a little gazing up toward the skies. He had mentioned her keeper being concerned with leaving her alone with Yuki, when they didn’t know each other. That could have been true, but Blackie could take care of herself, she wasn’t helpless.
“Meh, she would get over it. I can take care of myself.” Blackie shrugged, barely. “To tell you the truth, besides my keeper, you are the only one that hasn’t looked at me and ran for your life.” She pointed out. “Most people take on glance in my direction then move away quite quickly as if I’m a plague or something. Who knows.”
He twisted away when she came at him again, laughing more so at their scene than in response to the tickling of his own sides. Surely, if there were others here, if this were in broad daylight, they would be looked upon as though they were mad. Not that he was much used to it any other way.
Catching his breath, his fit of laughter calming and fading away, he smiled and looked up to the sky with her. She really must have been taken on the idea of flight, he might have to see if there was something he could do about that. Sooner or later... It would all depend on just how long he wanted to appear to her eyes as 'normal,' as opposed to revealing to her that he was in fact very much the opposite. When she spoke to him, he gave a small shrug. "And you're the only one who's bothered to give me the time of day, most of the other girls I've tried to talk to always have better things to do... Quite suddenly." Of course, he was trying a lot harder to make a better impression this time around, that likely had something to do with it. Though, the fact that she'd come at him so enthusiastically threw him completely off, as it was. "So, I guess we've got at least one thing in common, hmm?"
Blackie glanced over toward Yuki and gave him a look as if to say that he was crazy. Why wouldn’t anyone else want to talk to him? Surely he wasn’t ‘that’ bad of a guy, shoot, they had just met and she felt like she had known him for years and just didn’t remember. Shrugging the thoughts away, she remained standing there with her arms folded behind her head.
“Well, then they don’t even deserve your attention if they just walk away like that.” Blackie nodded, “Then again most Females never know what their missing until they’ve gone and thrown it to the wind.”
Blackie didn’t seem to think that she had that problem, she always got what she wanted. Being in her nature after all to succeed in just about anything, and right now she actually didn’t know what she wanted. Giving a shiver as the cool night air got a little cooler, her wrapped her arms about her chest, though tried not to look as if it effected her too much.
“It does seem that we are very much alike.” Blackie agreed, “Who knows what others think, for the most part, I don’t rightly care. For all I care, everyone else, except for a few, could die and blow away.” At this she looked away, feeling that maybe she had just been a little harsh on the world the had come to live in. “Oh well, life is life, might as well live with it all.”
He nodded lightly, "I suppose you're right." Certainly made the outings a bit lonely, though. On more than one occasion he'd begun to wonder if something was wrong with him. Well, aside from his constant failure to make an appealing first impression. "You alright?" He asked curiously, perking a brow as she wrapped her arms around herself. He'd felt the breeze well enough to know that the temperature was steadily declining, and apparently so had she.
He slipped his jacket off, silently thankful that he'd brought it with him. It wasn't like he needed it, in fact he was quite warm, he had simply taken it on his way out the door just encase it was needed. Though, in his case, it would have taken a blizzard for him to feel the least bit chilled. The short sleeves of his shirt may have given the idea that he'd be the one to be cold now, but it wasn't the case. "Here." He lifted it over her head, draping it gently over her shoulders. That accomplished, he stepped back to give her proper space and shrugged lightly. "I've seen many things I would like to forget, but I don't think I could bring myself to hold a grudge. Most of the time, they just don't seem to know any better." Easy for one to say, when more than half of their memories were unaccounted for.
Looking toward Yuki, Blackie gave a small smile as he placed his jacket over her shoulders and pulled it close around her lithe frame. She hated the cold, but with the help of the warm jacket she was coping better then she could without it. Though his question before giving her his coat was one that made her tense up a bit. She had never really told anyone that she hated the cold, she even hated going to the freezer at home because it was always so cold.
“Fine, just… Don’t like the cold. Cold and me don’t mix.” Blackie put it quite bluntly shivering at the thought. “That and really deep water, I can swim, but deep water is not my cup a tea."
Turning her gaze away from him, she wondered what would come next. Common reaction, laughter, there wasn’t any getting around it, she hated the cold and deep water. Shallows were alright, but anything else… Forget it, she wasn’t out of the water and sitting on the side. Now Blackie did feel foolish, to think she could take just about anyone on, but couldn’t take of a bit of cold and deep water. Some fearless spider she turned out to be…
He gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder, "It's alright, I guess I'm just used to the cold." What logically would have been credit to the fabricated man's animal species was not what was fully to blame. The talk of her discomfort with water wasn't at all laughable in his opinion. Considering the things that he'd seen under his own roof, that is. "I hear you, I know of a moth who can't stand water at all..." He reached out to gently urge her back in the direction from which they'd come, "If you want, we can head to someplace warmer?" He leaned down to her when she turned away, frowning a bit. "Come on, I can take you home if you'd like."
Turning back toward Yuki, Blackie looked at him oddly, a moth? She ate moths for supper as she so rudely demonstrated before when they first met and she had driven off Sadie. She wondered how he could know a moth, but didn’t really press the thought as he gently urged her back toward where they had come, offering to take her home. Even with it still fairly early… Or it still seemed early.
“Home, that’s one place I don’t really want to go.” She shrugged, “Because Sadie will be waiting near the door when I enter. Then again, I guess she’s always just concerned for my well being. Like a mother would be.”
Giving a small laugh, Blackie headed back down the path they had walked and looked over toward where home would be located. She could suppose that she could go home now. She would love to be somewhere warmer then the night air, she could almost feel like she was coming down with a cold or something. Turning her head toward Yuki she watched him a moment, noting that he was a bit taller then she was, she was never a tall person anyways. Just about everyone was taller then she was.
“What will you do if you did take me home, well after that I mean. Just remain out here until you go back to your own home?” Her head tilting to one side a little. “Though the night is still young and there’s still much to do out here. I can’t see myself simply going home now.”
He caught onto her strange look, and chuckled lightly. "He's... Different from your run-of-the-mill moth..." He explained, "If not for his wings, he'd look just as human as you and I. He came from a little shop in Chinatown..." He waved a hand absently in the air, conveniently omitting the information that he had originated from that same place.
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders once they'd started moving again, a bit more firmly this time in order to try and share a little of his own body heat by pulling her against his side. "Well, I don't have to take you to your place..." He suggested, sly grin crossing his lips as he glanced to her from the corner of his eye. "Do I?"
Blackie listened when Yuki spoke of this moth not being your every day moth, she gathered as much. Then there was talk of a little shop in Chinatown? She had to guess, that that was where she had come from, she vaguely remembered. Too much excitement that most memories were shoved aside and some forgotten completely. So all that she could do was nod. She would have to meet this moth someday, it sounded fascinating if not tasty in her small little mind. But then there was the sly remark about him not really having to take her to her own home, well that caused her to poke him in the side gently.
“Oh really, now. Who’s home would you be taking me to?” Smiling darkly, somewhat leaning against his side. “Going to be sneaking me through the back door and hope that no one notices?” that purr reentering her speech, as her bright eyes seem to darken just a little.
"Well, you did say you'd like to meet the people I live with, didn't you? Or have you changed your mind?" He laughed, "Sneak you in through the back? Hell no, I think I've got bragging rights. Nobody else has ever brought a girl home, what have I got to hide?" He seemed to catch himself, and gave her an awkward grin. "Unless you have an objection to that, of course."
Now this did cause Blackie to laugh when he questioned about sneaking her in through the back door. It had only been a suggestion, she didn’t know how the others of his household would take to a spider walking into their dwelling. Most didn’t take it too kindly. Shaking her head some, Blackie tried to calm her laughter, though it was hard.
“Sure I still want to go, anything’s better then going back to my place.” She pointed out, feeing how dull it was there. “So no one else has brought a girl home?” At this she merely stared to the ground, thinking that that was silly. “The others must not have much of a love life if they remain alone.”
At first, he was concerned when she laughed at him. Had he said something wrong? Out of line? Her answer relieved him, and his smile quickly returned. "Awesome." He replied with a laugh, "Haven't seen any other girls wandering around. Well, aside from the ones that live there. The only guy in the house who's been with anyone to my knowledge has probably sworn off of relationships for the rest of his life." As he spoke, he continued to lead her along the path they'd taken and away from the park. He was thankful they weren't too far, she wouldn't have to bear the cold for too long.
As they neared the house, Yuki leaned down alongside the sidewalk to scoop up a handful of small stones. What were they for? That much would soon be known. He pocketed them, and continued. It wasn't likely that everyone else would be asleep, it was still rather early in the night, but just encase.
Finally, they reached the house, which in all truth was more a mansion than anything otherwise. Though, even as such it was still slightly cramped for the amount of bodies it held. Yuki took one look at the front window; The lights were on. However, instead he decided to go through with his more cautious plan. "I'll be right back, okay? Just... Stay right here." Not that he'd be able to do much if she followed, but he didn't think she'd like running around the lawn very much.
Yuki moved what had to have been less than ten feet from the cobblestone walk, eyes set on a window that seemed to be barely lit. He reached into his pocket, produced a stone, and tossed it toward the glass. The stone hit its mark, and bounced off the window. He waited a moment, and when he got no reaction he frowned. "Damn, dude. I know you're awake up there." He took three more stones in hand and threw them all at once. The noise from those three apparently gained a reaction, as someone finally came to the window and pulled it open. "I knew you were half blind, but I thought your hearing was supposed to be great! What took you so long?" He hissed.
"I think ya' got yerself confused." 2D said, though he was the one who sounded confused himself. "Ain't you s'posed to be throwin' rocks at a girl's window...? Er... Someplace else?"
Yuki made a frantic gesture toward the front door, "Just get down here and let me in, man."
"Wot for? It's not ev'n midnight yet. Half the house is prolly down there. Jus' knock." He protested, grimacing at the thought of the noise that would meet him on the first floor. Then, the bat gave a shrill yelp, as one of Yuki's reserved stones struck him square in the forehead. He rubbed the spot, and narrowed his dark eyes. "Oi, dat's not the way to get my help."
"Just do it, or I'll make sure your medication goes missing again." He demanded.
Apparently, that was the ticket. 2D stepped back from the window, closed it, and his shadow moved away and what Yuki could hope would be out of the room.
He rushed back to the door, and wrapped an arm around Blackie again. "Okay, so I lied just a little... There's a specific house mate I'd like to avoid." He wasn't taking any chances, encase said house mate would have any desire to try and torment him. Or, God forbid, try to steal his 'catch' as soon as he entered.
Blackie walked beside Yuki as he lead her toward his place, though was curious when he picked up a handful of stones and pocketed them. Looking away a little she looked at the house, her eyes growing a little wide at the sight. It certainly was bigger then her own place, which pretty much was an apartment on the top floor.
“Wow, this place is huge. And you say there’s not enough room? It looks like a paradise compared to where I live with Sadie.” Blackie said in a surprised way. “But I can’t complain, better then living out on the streets.”
When they stopped near the front door, Blackie watched Yuki skit across the lawn a bit and start throwing rocks at a high window. The first stone didn’t seem to catch whatever was in that room’s attention until three more stones bounced off the glass and someone came to it. With choice words thrown back and forth, Blackie could only shake her head laughing to herself. If she had a house where she had to really argue with people, there would be problems. Lots of them, mainly cause she would bite those that pissed her off in the worst way. When Yuki came back and the one in the window had vanished, she could only smile lightly.
“Oh really, I’ll have to be on my guard then.” She teased, though knowing well that most times males got jealous of others when one has something that they also want or whatever the other reasons would be.
"If not for a friend of our's, we'd still be in a little three-bedroom place in the suburbs. As for the other family... They were, uh, evicted. So, they're staying with us. All of them." The last had been stated without any attempt to hide the bitter tone. Inu was fine, cute kid as far as he was concerned. It was her pets, however, that typically got on his nerves. Or, he got on theirs, whichever happened first.
Finally, the sound of footsteps could be heard from the entryway, and seconds after the door opened by the hand of a very tall, lanky individual. He looked as though he hadn't slept in days, if not longer, due to the horrible dark circles under his eyes. His eyes were as out of the ordinary as Blackie's, though they completely lacked any sort of color; Only black. He squinted lightly against the light of the room, but thankfully his vision was adjusting. His attention settled on Blackie for a long moment, before he stepped back to let them in.
"Seen Neko?" Yuki asked quickly, trying to peek down the hall.
2D shook his head, "The lot of them went out grocery shopping."
"At this hour?" Yuki rolled his eyes, "What 'lot' went?"
He started counting off fingers, but apparently forgot all of the names on his way through. He stood there for a moment, concentration plain on his face, as he tried to remember who had left and who had stayed.
"Good enough." Yuki said flatly, "Excuse us." He had begun to move toward the hall, but 2D stood in his way. "What?"
Apparently, he'd given up on his previous dilemma, but he still looked at Yuki strangely. "She stayin' wit you?"
He sounded defensive, "So what if she is?"
"In... Your room?" He added.
"Ye-..." Yuki's eyes grew wide. How could he have been so stupid? He suddenly turned to Blackie, "I, uh, forgot it's a little messy... I'm gonna go and straighten up a bit. You know, since I'm sure you don't want to be stepping over a guy's dirty clothes or anything, yeah?" He spoke so quickly, he might very well have went without being understood. "Hey, 2D? You can keep her company while I go do that, right?" Yuki slipped past him before he could contemplate an answer. "Thanks, means a lot, I owe ya one!"
"B-but, I-" He started, turning to see him dashing down the hall. "Uh." He looked at Blackie. What exactly was he supposed to do? "I... Can show you around?"
Her pale completion paled even more at the though of living with two families under one roof, she would have been suffocated. Shaking her head Blackie waited for when the door had opened and looked at the strange looking… Boy? She couldn’t rightly tell how old he was, but he was strange in deed, and seemed to eye her strangely for some reason. She remained quite as the two conversed and had seen Yuki’s eyes grow slightly wider and he slunk off to his room.
“What got into him? He acted as if I’ve never seen a messy room before.” Blackie crossed her arms over her chest a little watching Yuki vanish leaving her there with the stranger.
Her gaze flicking back to the boy, she watched him for a moment, wondering how he had come to live with Yuki and this ‘crowded’ household, that and why she had heard something about medication? This was all too confusing to her, and somehow glad to be in a small environment and only one other person sharing said place. When being asked if he could show her around, she supposed so, if it would keep him from watching her and making her skin crawl just a bit.
“Sure,” She said cheerily, hoping to get moving and not linger in one place too long. “This place is certainly bigger then home, inside and out.” Blackie pointed out more to herself then to 2D, her eyes looking around, hoping to avoid eye contact.
"Eh heh, yer not thinkin' the same kinda messy as he is." 2D replied, though lucky for Yuki he did not elaborate. Instead, he stepped out of the entryway and toward the nearest room. It was brightly lit, and 2D showed a little hesitation, pausing at the doorway.
"You lost again?" Came a young, amused voice from somewhere within. A ginger haired young man seated upon the sofa, feet propped up on the coffee table. "Your room's upstairs, mate."
"I-I am not lost." He protested, jaw agape as though offended that the boy had mocked his intelligence. "I'm showin' Yuki's friend around."
"Yuki has friends?" Different voice, not so different boy.
"That was a bit harsh, wasn't it George?" The first one said, though his expression looked more amused than concerned for the man's feelings.
"What? I didn't think he knew anyone 'round here, outside the house." George replied, leaning back in his seat to get a glimpse of this 'friend' 2D was referring to.
Blackie merely shrugged, thinking that she didn’t want to know what other sort of ‘messy’ Yuki’s room could have been. Following a bit behind the boy, Blackie stepped up to the well lit door way, glancing over to the pair that happened to be there. Raising her head up, she glanced down slightly and off to the side watching the ginger haired boys. Though her eyes darkened as one leaned back to get a better look at her.
“And what pray-tell is wrong with being a friend to Yuki?” She asked quite bluntly, a soft hiss entering her throat.
She stepped out of the dim light that escaped the door way and into the direct light, letting it bounce off her bright blue and black outlined eyes give a sift glow. Her arms crossed though she was still wearing Yuki’s coat over her shoulders. She studied one boy then looked toward the other, noting that they were twins, so it would have been hard to tell one from the other, then again when she was done with them, no would be able to tell who they were. But that would be if they completely pissed her off of course.
The look on George's face suggested his surprise; It was a girl? Frankly, he didn't know what he'd expected, but that certainly wasn't it. "Nothin'." He said innocently, offering a nervous grin.
"He didn't mean any harm by it, love. We're just givin' him a hard time." Fred explained.
George, at this point, apparently had recovered from his shock. "I guess this explains why he's been disappearing until sunrise..."
2D scratched the back of his head, looking to Blackie curiously. "You his girlfriend, then?"
Blackie eyed the pair as they seemed surprised of her appearance. Which wasn’t too unexpected, the way they talked Yuki had been just moping about somewhere doing no good. It seemed that one hadn’t been too surprised to her arrival, though she didn’t really look back to the one who was supposed to have been showing her around the mansion. Stepping toward the twins Blackie brought herself close to their backs, close enough she could have hit then if she had a mind to.
“Seems you like to give everyone a hard time.” She pointed out, “Got nothing better to do then sit and make fun of people behind their backs? Hopefully you do, or you might end up bedridden for a while.”
The threat was there as she turned away from the twins and stepped back toward the other. Barely glancing over her shoulder, then gave a small sweet smile though in the back of her mind, she already hated the two behind her.
“Shall we continue, away from the ‘children’?” She asked gesturing toward the twins at the end of her sentence. “They seem a lively couple, but also nerve wracking.
"Yup, it's what we do." Fred replied with a grin. Apparently, her approach didn't bother him much. Of course, in a house like this one, he was used to threats.
"A'ight." 2D replied, leaving the doorway of the room and heading back out into the hall. Honestly, he wished he hadn't set foot into that room, it only seemed to cause trouble.
"Ni~ight!" Came a singsong duo, as both waved from their seats before returning their attention to the program they had been watching.
"Don't let 'em get to you, they like to joke. They're not too bad, once you get to know 'em..." Though, he really hadn't given himself the chance to do that. It was simply what Hitsu has said to him upon their first meeting. Apparently, 2D wasn't too keen on the showing her around bit, even though he had been the one to suggest it. He was actually walking her slowly in the direction in which Yuki had run off, hoping to run into him on the way there. Not to say the young man didn't like women, or Blackie for that matter, he just didn't feel like being bothered tonight.
They rounded a corner, and 2D hesitated a moment. He stared at the door at the end of the hall, almost as though in a daze. Said door held a dead bolt lock; Apparently whatever was on the other side was important, if it needed to be kept under lock and key. "Yuki's room is down there." He explained, "Last one on the right." He stood there a moment longer, and started to move away down the opposite hall behind them. Whether she would follow him or not, he didn't know. "The study is this way, if you wanna wait for 'im."
Blackie gave a snort as she listened to the pair they were leaving behind, she would deal with them later. Though she stopped when the boy stopped and looked at a certain door, seemed strange to keep whatever was in there locked up. A brow raising a little she stepped closer to the door before looking to where 2D had said Yuki’s room was, but shrugged. She could wait for him at least she thought she could. Turning away from where Yuki’s room was located, she followed 2D still.
“You don’t like the light too well do you?” she asked as she followed, not that she like too much light, but endured it when she needed to. “Not that it’s any of my business of course.” She shrugged afterwards glancing back over her shoulder. “As for your question earlier, I might just be his girlfriend, that has yet to be seen.”
The boy shook his head gently, pressing a hand to his skull. "Gives me a headache, sometimes." Tonight happened to be one of those times, as his luck would have it. He led her into a room not too far down the hall, that happened to already be occupied. 2D moved to a vacant armchair near the door, leaning his head back with a bit of a wince. He'd shut his eyes for a moment, only to be quickly startled as something was tossed into his lap; A bottle of prescription pills. He picked them up, and opened the bottle without much hesitation.
"Just don't take more than two this time. I don't want to carry you back up to your room." Vincent instructed, watching him carefully for an attempt to disobey him. He seemed satisfied when 2D tossed the bottle back to him, and he replaced it to his pocket. With the amount of times someone in the household had found it laughable to hide the poor boy's medication, Vincent had taken it upon himself to keep a bottle on him encase they were needed. He set aside the book he'd been reading, and reached to dim the only light he had lit in the room. "A friend of yours?" He questioned, gesturing toward Blackie with a tilt of his head.
"Au-uh." He replied with a shake of his head, jerking a finger toward the hall. "Yuki's brought her home. I'm keepin' her company while he cleans up." He popped the pills he'd retrieved into his mouth, and tilted his head back to swallow them.
"I see." He said, looking to the young woman and offering a nod in greeting. "He's told you he's a rabbit, right?" If he had to wager, he was going to bet that the girl would say no. Vincent could easily guess, of course, that this woman wasn't human herself, if only from her interesting eyes.
So-called cleaning finally aside, Yuki had heard voices from the study and decided to peek in there first in search of Blackie. He just happened to be two steps from the door when he overheard Vincent's question, and he practically jumped into the room. "Hey, hey!" He protested, and added in a bit of a whine. "You say it like it makes me a freak or something." He had actually been mulling over how to bring up the whole 'I look like a man but I'm really not' issue, and his more serious house mate had decided to give that away quite bluntly himself. He leaned on the back of an armchair, frowning toward Vincent. "When you get technical, nobody in this house is human. I think the closest is Hitsu, and she's only half." He waved a hand absently, as though such a subject wasn't at all out of the ordinary.
Blackie leaned against the inside of the doorway, her arms still crossed as she looked over toward the two. The older one seemed very picky about how much this other more pain stricken one took from the bottle he had tossed. Then again, it wasn’t her business, though the carrying part amused her. But as things turned toward her, Blackie raised her head up some and just stared at them for a moment. She caught something about Yuki being a rabbit, did it look like she cared?
“So?” Was all that she answered before Yuki came barging into the study. “Yuki.” She purred basically sweeping over toward him and wrapping her arms about his shoulders. “Sadie isn’t exactly human either, at least that’s what she says.” She shrugged. “Appearances can be deceiving.” at this she grinned before pulling away from Yuki some.
“Now, shall we leave these less fortunate to their own business?” She teased pulling at Yuki’s shirt a little. “I would hate for a fight to break out just because of little ol’ me.” Boy she was adding on the charm…
Vincent simply gave a calm shrug of his shoulders, suggesting that he had never intended any conflict. He gave no reply, but simply watched the two as Blackie gravitated toward Yuki as quickly as he could approach.
As Blackie wrapped her arms around his neck, Yuki's hands found their way from her sides to hips in barely a second or two. It was apparent that he was trying to be not quite as timid anymore. Especially since she just seemed keen on tugging him along. He offered her a sly grin, before turning his attention to the other in the room. "Thanks, D." He said to 2D, "I owe ya one."
"One what?" He asked, black eyes looking up to him with an expression of mixed confusion and concern. Most likely, Vincent's previous instructions had been ignored. That, or the pills he'd taken a few hours before were still in his system. It was hard to tell sometimes, what might have been the cause for his intellectual damage.
"Nevermind." Yuki said, turning his attention to the girl before him. Blackie was literally pulling at him now, and who was he to argue? A sly grin crept across his face, and hands moved from her waist to her wrists. "Whatever you like..." He replied in a low tone, leaning down and nearly brushing the tip of his nose with hers. Without sparing so much as a glance back into the room, he led her out into the hall and toward his own door.
Vincent sighed softly, and reached for his book. It would be hard to read in the low light, but he was sure he could manage. "Well, at least we know he's not drunk." He looked to 2D for comment, but received nothing more than a blank stare.
-----
Yuki allowed Blackie through the door first, closing it gently behind him and locking the door. Why? Well, obviously, he didn't want anyone barging in, whether there be need to worry about what they may or may not be interrupting. "They didn't bother you too much, did they?" He asked with a hint of amusement, inwardly wondering just how awkward any conversation might have been before he arrived. "Vincent is a good guy, but a little too serious for my tastes."
The room was virtually empty, though this hadn't been the case several minutes before. He'd stashed most clutter in the closet, along with just about anything else that would fit. The walls were bare, save a general painting or two that frankly didn't look like anything a man would hang on his wall. 'Pretty' nature-related portraits, likely something that Hitsu had hung like in many other places in the house, and Yuki was just too fond of her to risk offense by taking them down. Aside from the bed, which looked quite hastily made, he lacked much furniture. Not that it bothered him, most of the entertainment lied in different areas of the house. A small set of shelves sat against the wall closest to the window, piled with various CD cases and books. A desk sat not too far away from that, with a considerably sized stereo setting on top.
Blackie smiled as she was whisked away from the sights of those within the study, though she gave one last glance back toward those there, her bright blue irises giving a sort of wink in the dim lighting. Holding onto Yuki’s arm she walked beside him before stepping into his roughly cleaned room, noting that things had come off the wall in quite a hurry, though she too notice of the pictures that had been left behind, well she had seen worse, much worse, her own room for that matter.
She looked back toward Yuki as he had locked his door behind him, seeming that he didn’t want anyone to waltz right on in while they were chatting. Stepping over to the badly made bed she sat upon it, a thin hand running through her short hair, pulling it back away from her face, revealing a few piercings that littered her face, not only in her ears. She gave a smile to Yuki and patted his bed a bit for him to join her, though it wasn’t her place to invite him to sit on his bed.
“Pleasant Group, though that one in the red coat has a large mouth doesn’t he?” Black asked with a bit of a sneer. “If anything, I’m a spider, as you might have guessed from earlier. Does that really make that much of a difference?”
Her head tilting to one side, she wondered if it did. It wasn’t like they weren’t human now, and humans got along just fine right? Shaking her head a little, she leaned back a little letting her head lull back and her gaze shifted to watch the ceiling a little. Wondering maybe she had made a bad choice, but then again, she liked Yuki, even if he was rabbit. Giving herself another shrug, Blackie looked back toward Yuki aiming to ask what was behind that locked door that 2D had stopped before moving past. She thought she had seen a sort of terrified look on his face.
“Hey Yuki? D had stopped before a locked door, he seemed kinda afraid of it. Dare I ask what is locked behind it?” she questioned, head tilting to one side again. “Or is it something that I don’t want to know about?”
Moving over to seat himself alongside her, he shook his head briefly. "Nah, he's usually quiet most of the time." It seemed to Yuki that the talk of inhuman house mates had gotten to her, one way or another, judging by her statement of her own species and her anxious fidgeting. "You alright?" He asked, eying her curiously.
Yuki perked a brow at Blackie's question at first, but soon realized which door she must have been talking about. He quickly forced a smile and tried to offer reassurance. "Ah, don't worry about that. 2D's just paranoid. There's nothing there to worry about." Blatant lie? You bet. Hopefully she'd never have to learn different.
Raising a brow, Blackie just looked at Yuki in an odd way when he mentioned that Vincent was quiet most the time, though the guy did had an air of seriousness around him, like he never had a life or anything to that extent. When it came to talking about the door, Yuki mentioned that there wasn’t really anything that important behind it, and that D was just paranoid. She could accept that she supposed, though she did have to wonder. Shaking it from her mind she leaned against Yuki while he sat beside her.
“Hmm? Nothing, just looking around, your room is cleaner then mine. Mine’s got webs everywhere.” She shrugged, though had a glance over toward his closet, thinking she had seen something sticking out of the closed door. “Though the paintings are a nice touch, where’d you get them?”
Standing, Blackie stepped over to one of the paintings to look at it more closely. It was a nice one, reminded her of something she had seen before she thought, but couldn’t really remember. Turning her head back toward Yuki, she pulled his jecket from her bare shoulders and held it out to him.
“Here, I think I should give this back to you.” She smiled, letting herself get used to the warmth within the room without feeling over heated in a way. “It’s warm enough in here that I won’t be needing it.”

Sitting back upon the bed, she laid back letting her feet remain on the floor her arms folded under her head. The bed was comfy, though a bit lumpy the way the blankets had been messily thrown upon them. Her eyes closing for a moment Blackie breather slowly before opening her eyes again, looking up at Yuki, reaching out with a hand to place it on his shoulder and tug gently as if asking for him to lay with her.
“I hope no one really minds that I’m here. I don’t wish to get you into trouble.” Blackie frowned. “Those I’ve seen won’t say anything will they?” Thinking that in a few minutes someone would be trying to break the door down to get inside.
"Well, I can understand why..." He replied, "Certainly, a spider would have webs in her room. Makes it more comfortable, more like home. At least, that's what I'd guess." Not that he had much room to talk on acting the animal that he truly was, at least not down to finding it necessary to dig burrows through the back yard nor the urge to flee from any of the other members of the household... Who, in a less abnormal and more animalistic setting, would give him full reason to worry. He looked up to her when she stood, a look of concern washing briefly over him as though he thought she'd decided better of staying. However, when she addressed the pictures, he smiled again. "Oh," He chuckled lightly, "Those are Hitsu's doing. I just didn't have the heart to take them down."
He reached out for his jacket upon her return, and laid it aside on the bed. "Yeah, and it's about to get warmer." Wait. What? Oh God, I can't believe I just said that! He hastily added, "Th-the heat! The heater is going to kick on!" It was the truth, though the way he'd just worded himself made him feel... Well, stupid. "She's got it set..." He explained, trying so desperately to cover for his mistake. "Set to heat more frequently at night, to keep the house warm." Speaking of warm, he certainly was, and now that they were in a lighted room it would be impossible for him to hide a blush this time around. This is dive bombing into failure, I just know it.
Instead of lying alongside her, he stood again and paced to the other side of the room. Nervous, no doubt. "No, no... You're fine." Something else he thought could have been interpreted differently, but it hardly compared to the last incident. "Nobody will bother us, don't worry."
Blackie nodded when Yuki mentioned that the pictures were Hitsu’s doing, they looked nice, giving the room a more roomy touch, like there was more there then just four walls a door and whatever else was within it. Having closed her eyes for a moment and almost like she had fallen asleep, Blackie was still listening and felt the bed move slightly when Yuki got up and paced across the room. Opening her eyes again and propping herself up upon her elbows, she watched him, though something he said made her smile inwardly.
Standing she walked over toward him as seemed to have his back to her. Sometimes she hated being small, but in some cases it wasn’t such a bad thing. Reaching out she put her hands on his shoulders, leaning closer, just about place her own weight against him, maybe to push him over? Nah. Reassurance maybe, that sounded better, though she was still smiling.
“I think it’s more then just a heater kicking in.” She muttered still loud enough for him to hear, her hands moving lower down his back to slip around his waist. “Something on your mind Yuki?” she asked looking at the back of his head, well more the side as she had placed her chin on his shoulder. “You seem nervous or something. Like your worried that something will happen.”
Ok, charming side away and concern slips in. She really must have liked him to show this level of concern for a guy she had just met. Then again, Yuki was a looker and shunned everyone else who turned him down, come on, who couldn’t fall for his cuteness? Blackie had no idea, nor did she care…
He felt her lean against him, and her embrace was comforting. And... So familiar. It was like deja vu, and for a few moments he was unresponsive. She'd spoken loud enough, though her words were like buzzing in his ears. His subconsciousness, however, clung to them. Though, with Blackie's question, another voice joined in. A voice echoing in his mind, that seemed so very familiar, but how?
"Something on your mind, Yuki?" A sweet, feminine voice. She sounded concerned, and he felt a pang of guilt. "You're so nervous, like you're afraid something is going to happen."
He heard his own voice, though no words actually passed his lips. "It's nothing, Love. Nothing you need to worry about..." His chest hurt now, it felt tight, what was going on?
He gasped, and his eyes darted around to confirm where he was. He didn't look behind him, but took a moment to catch his breath, as a nonexistent weight was lifted from his chest when he'd left his strange thoughts. He stared at the wall, wide-eyed, wondering what might have just happened. It was odd... But, he was used to the abnormal, and he forced himself to focus on the matter at hand.
"I-It's nothing..." He reassured, "Nothing you need to worry about." It wasn't until then that he'd moved again, turning his head to face her. Of course, he'd known she was close now, but it actually startled him to realize just how close when he found himself touching his cheek to hers. He went tense, and drew in a quick breath.
Blackie just looked at him as he seemed to go very distant from her. She wondered what he was thinking about, and even if he had heard her. This went on for a few minute before he said something and turned his head to brush his cheek against hers, she also felt his quick breath in, this was really puzzling her. Tilting her head slightly she watched him as he said that there wasn’t anything to worry about, she wasn’t so sure.
“Ok,” She nodded slightly as she let her chin slip from his shoulder and she leaned still against him from behind. “Though you went all distant there for a moment, as if you were in deep thought.”
Pulling away some, she moved to lean against the wall beside him watching. Wondering what he could have been thinking, or what could have pulled his attention so quickly. Had it been something she had said? Maybe, though the blankness then the shock, she could have called it that came to his face before he had looked around was strange.
“You want to talk about it?” she asked before even realizing what she had even asked until it was already too late. “Or would you like me to leave and visit another time?” she offered thinking that maybe he would want some time to himself… The choice was his.
She moved her head from his shoulder, and he relaxed a bit. He'd never admit that he'd been expecting, no... Hoping for a different response. "I'm... Fine." He said, trying to convince himself along with Blackie. He frowned to himself when she stepped away, "Just didn't get enough sleep last night, I guess." That would be the only 'talking' he'd be doing about it if he could manage it, and he shook his when she asked if he'd like to explain further. Her offer to leave, while not entirely unexpected, appeared to worry him.
"No, no! You don't have to go." He said quickly, closing the gap between them and reaching out to take hold of her by the sides of her shoulders. His grip was firm, but not too rough. "I'm sorry, I'm just... Nervous." About what? Wasn't he always striving to get the girl? Now that he had one, his head was spinning and he had no idea what to do. He realized what he was doing, and quickly released his grip on her, though his hands still rested on her shoulders. "U-unless... You want to. I-" I knew it, chance blown. He gave her an apologetic look, "I'll walk you out... If you don't want to stay."
Blackie looked a little surprised when he grabbed a hold of her shoulders, when he closed the gap between them almost, to her, demanding that she didn’t leave. Placing a hand upon his once his grip was eased up on she just watched him silently, he had apologizing look upon his face that made her feel a bit guilty about something. She shook her head and kept her hand upon his.
“I’ll stay. You just scared me, that’s all.” She smiled moving closer to him, her arms wrapping around him again in a embrace. “I seem to scare a little easily, just so you know.” Sap she thought to herself, You're growing soft Blackie, and just for a guy you barely met.
Pulling a way some she reached for his hands to try and pull him back toward the bed where she would sit again. Though the night still seemed young, she was starting to feel warn out and there wasn’t much point in going home now. She didn’t think she could make it home and she wasn’t about to be carried either.
“I don’t think I would make it home even if I wanted to go. And I won’t burden you with carrying me, if you didn’t get much sleep last night and are feeling worn out.” She pointed out, trying not to yawn, though she could feel one building. “I’m quite happy with staying right here.”
Now she did yawn though covered her mouth to try and hide the fangs that would surely be seen. Leaning back a little, she watched Yuki to see what he would do, or what he would say.
He smiled, and gave a very short laugh. Relief? Not quite, though he was. The stifled laugh had been to her comment of how easily she was frightened. Was it really a good idea to have her in this house, of all places? He wrapped his arms around her when she embraced him again, "Don't worry, I'll keep the Bogeyman away tonight." A joke? Of course it was. Though, at the same time, he really did have someone in mind when the statement was spoken.
She moved away again, and tugged for him to follow. He did so without resistance, and sat alongside her. Everything she said, was she serious? She couldn't be much more obvious of her intentions, other than to just say it outright. She planned on staying here, with him, all night. She could come up with all of the excuses she wanted, but the result was the same. She didn't want to leave. Did that mean...?
He leaned in closer. "Thank you." He said, and kissed her softly on the cheek.
Blackie gave Yuki a smile as he followed her over to the bed and sat down beside her. He talked of a bogeyman and well that was silly, but it sounds fair enough. A slight tint came to her face as he kissed her cheek and thanked her. In truth she didn't understand why he was thanking her, but all the same she didn't really want to know. Turning away for a moment, she looked back toward him of of the corner of her eye, her shoulder hiding a fangy smile from sight.
"Your welcome Yuki." She whispered moving closer to him to where she was just about in his lap.
Moving a hand to place atop of his, Blackie moved closer to where she had her face not too far from his, reaching up with the other hand she placed it upon the side of his face. Watching his eyes for a moment she kissed him, her hand moving slightly to the back of his neck in a caressing manner. If anyone was watching they might have been a little grossed out, but Blackie never cared about what 'animal' they were, to her they were both human and humans mixed. Losing herself to the outside world, her eyes opened slightly, though she did keep in mind not to bite him with her fangs...
At first, he just watched her in silence. She was blushing, and he took that as a promising sign. She moved closer, and his smile widened a moment. When she'd placed her hand on his, he grasped it gently, cupping the underside of her chin with the other. Certainly, he had hypothesized where this was headed, and as she leaned in for the kiss he had as well, meeting in the middle and pressing his lips to hers. Eyelids had slipped shut, but when he dared to break their kiss he opened them just barely to find her already looking at him. He felt the urge to laugh, but resisted.
"Does this mean I haven't scared you away?" He questioned softly, thumb gently trailing along her jaw. He hadn't drawn himself away, nearly brushing the tip of his nose to hers. She wanted to be close? He certainly could keep it so, and perhaps even more if she let him.
"I don't think a cute bunny like yourself could scare anyone away." She whispered pressing her forehead against his. "It's normally I whom scare people away as they fear of getting bitten." This came with a shrug.
Blackie sat there in silence now, her black and bright blue eyes looking into his tealish ones, wondering how long this will last and what would happen if someone else were to barge in despite the locked door. At times, Blackie forgot where she was, as she leaned closer to Yuki once more, to kiss him again. With a little most force, in the attempt to lay him back against his bed with her atop him, though in some cases it should have been the other way around. She didn't want this to end, only wanted the world to go away for just this one night and maybe forever if she wished it to... Then there was her keeper, she had to go home at some point, or Sadie would come looking for her and then the fur would fly.
"Is that so?" He murmured, expression curious. When she did advance, at first he was taken by surprise. However, he certainly didn't try and stop her. What kind of moron would that make him? For as long as he could remember, he'd searched in vain for a girl. Now, he seemed to have one, and while he was clearly dumbfounded by the majority of it all she seemed to have enough confidence for the both of them. As it turned out, the continued persuasion effectively wore away his fears.
His dreams, however, only introduced more.
Yuki stood in a furnished room, though it was far from the style of the home in which the fabrication slept in reality. It was small, but cozy. One might hypothesize that it was an old home, but it really was not. It was, merely, a common structure some several centuries ago. His gaze moved around him, looking to the oil lamps that cast a dim and almost eerie light on the surroundings to the dark wooden floorboards.
He was pulled from his thoughts at the sound of movement nearby, to which he looked up toward the doorway. A moment later, a young woman appeared at the doorway. Yuki smiled to her, and received one in return. She was a beautiful woman; Fair complexion, thin frame, long brunette hair that fell down her back in delicate waves. The sight of her eased his tired mind, and any worries he might have had from the long day were temporarily forgotten.
"You're home late, I was beginning to worry." Such a soothing voice, though the sadness that lightly embraced it inflicted Yuki with a pang of guilt.
"I'm sorry, Love..." Yuki replied softly, frowning.
The young woman closed the gap between them and Yuki leaned down to her as she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head in the nape of his neck. "You're home now, that's all that matters."
He embraced her, inhaling deeply to take in her scent. "Don't worry about me, I'm not going anywhere." Fingers brushed gently through her hair, cheek resting gently against the top of her head. "I love you, Kioko."
He murmured in his sleep incoherently, and while in his dream world he held Kioko in this reality he embraced Blackie just the same. "Ki-oko..." It was barely more than a whisper, but their closeness likely made it audible.
Laying against Yuki, Blackie felt contented with the feeling of his flesh against hers and being lulled to sleep by his heart beat drumming along with her own. Pulling the covers a little higher, she didn’t notice him wrap his arms around her, Blackie had awaken for a moment as she felt a small chill against her back as the blankets had been pulled more Yuki’s way then hers and she went to fix that. Looking up toward Yuki as his embraced her she wondered what he was dreaming of, he had muttered something before saying something very clearly.
‘Kioko’
Who was that? She wondered, did she dare wake him and ask? Or wait until sun up and then ask. She didn’t rightly know, shifting a little, she leaned against him again wrapping an arm around him, her eyes closing again to listen to his breathing and heart beating with her. Hoping sleep would come back, though her mind wondered who this Kioko was that he had spoken of…
What had begun as a pleasant dream began to turn darker.
As he stood there, despite his closeness to Kioko he began to feel cold. Not just chilled, it felt as though their home had suddenly been plunged into winter. Which was far from the season; It was summer, quite the opposite. He felt his lover begin to shiver in his arms, and he rubbed at her exposed skin gently but vigorously.
"Wh-why is it so cold?" She asked, pressing herself against him.
Only one thought surfaced in his mind, and Yuki desperately tried to push it aside. "The fire... The fire must have gone out." Yes, that was it. He would go and tend to it.
However, once to the fireplace, there was flame. Despite this, each exhale from either of them brought small puffs of their breath visible into the air. What was going on? Yuki rose from examining the flames, which seemed eerily absent of heat. He turned, and his stomach gave a sickening lurch.
Yuki's heartbeat began to speed up, and he took short, gasping breaths. Whatever was happening now, in what was quickly turning into a nightmare, had him frightened.
His eyes were wide, fearful, and it was only a second before Kioko had turned in confusion. Then, she gave a startled scream when she realized a man had been standing less than a foot from her. She backed quickly toward Yuki, who took no time to pull her to him and place himself between she and their sudden visitor.
"Get out." Yuki said, wishing so desperately to sound intimidating. His fear betrayed him, his voice shook.
"Don't worry, dear boy, I'll only be a moment." Dynast had replied casually, arms crossed lightly across his chest as though he'd been waiting impatiently to be noticed. He lifted a hand, and a weapon materialized out of nothing but the air. A long, thin lance of ice. A smile parted his lips, "You must learn to follow instructions, son."
Yuki felt Kioko pressed against his back, and she sounded on the brink of tears when she spoke. "Who is he!?"
He did not answer, only stared. His mind was reeling, trying to figure out how... Why this could happen. He'd tried, he'd tried to keep them safe.
"Your seal is a joke, Yuki. Did you honestly think it would keep you out of my sight? Keep you safe from me?" He laughed aloud. "My, you must have gotten your brains from your mother."
"Run, Kioko..." Yuki whispered, "Just run..."
"I can't have you doing that, Darling." Dynast stated, in a tone that was all too gentle. In one swift motion, he flipped the lance in his grasp and hurled it at its mark. It sailed across the room, penetrated at the base of his son's ribcage as though he'd been no obstacle at all, and half its length continued out the other side.
He jerked backward from the force, Kioko screamed behind him, and Dynast's cold laughter rang in his ears.
A sharp gasp, and he jerked awake. He'd broken into a cold sweat, and at first only laid still trying to catch his breath. His fearful eyes settled on Blackie after a few seconds, and his breathing slowly began to calm. The pounding in his chest began to ease, and he tried to shake the nightmare from his memory.
Having been on one side of his bed, Blackie laid upon her side with her back to the wall. If she had been awake, she would have been watching Yuki, but her eyes were shrouded in darkness as she snuggled under the blankets, placing herself close to Yuki at some point in the side. Though she just about jumped when yuki jolted awake as if someone had kicked him or something. Sitting up, though keeping the blankets pulled up close to her body she looked back at Yuki.
“Something the matter Yuki?” she asked quietly, though listened to the silence of the room, wondering what time it was. Surely still the middle of the night.
Tilting her head off to one side a little, Blackie moved a little closer toward him, placing a hand upon his shoulder, wondering what was wrong. From how he looked now, he looked scared though calm was covering it, she wondered what could scare him that badly. Shaking her head she laid back down, still watching him, further more, who was this Kioko he had spoken of while in his sleep… She would ask him later, right now didn’t seem like a good time.
He'd startled Blackie awake as well, and when she stared at him he gave an apologetic smile. Or tried, it was a bit weak thanks to shaken nerves. "S-sorry..." He breathed, "Bad dream." A simple answer to her question, but he didn't feel the need to elaborate. Awake, at least for the next few moments as the adrenaline ebbed away, Yuki shifted and sat up to rest his back against the headboard. Resting his hands in his lap, he leaned his head back and shut his eyes.
As much as he didn't want it, the dream replayed itself in brief flashes behind the closed lids. His expression was displeased, but he didn't speak of it. He just thought. Thought about who she could have been, why she seemed so familiar yet unknown in the same breath. A strange, uncomfortable feeling of deja vu, as it were. Could these be surfacing memories? Those memories that had been locked away, large voids in the memory of the life that the man he so flawlessly fabricated had lived. Was it real? Had his own father killed someone he cared for? It wouldn't have been unlike him, but the Dynast this Yuki knew was merely a fabrication himself... Despite his ruthless demeanor such a swift murder seemed out of his typical habits; He liked to savor mental and physical distress for longer. What reason could he have had? Follow instructions... He mulled over this, one of the few bits of conversation he could actually recall upon waking. What could he have meant?
It was the last thought that crept into his mind, before he began to doze off again.
Blackie had pulled herself up pulling the blankets up around her as she shifted closer to Yuki. Closing her own eyes she leaned against his arm. Dragging the blankets with her as she did. Ignoring that he was puzzled over what ever the bad dream was, she wasn't sure if she could help him with it. It seemed like something he would have to figure out on his own. For now she tugged on him gently to lay down with her again, not wanting to be the only one laying. "Come on Yuki, we can talk about it in the morning, alright?" she yawned wrapping a pale arm over Yuki's chest in a huggish like motion to get closer to him. "For now we can sleep, I feel that the morning will be coming soon."
She might have been right as the hair on the back of her neck had started to rise. It normally did when the sun was close to rising and she hated the thought of it. Though it also made her think that she had been out all night and her caretaker had been home all alone. This made her sit up, wide eyed and awake. Though conscious enough to keep the blankets pulled up around her chest. She should have been home long ago, oh she was in trouble is Sadie came knocking to see if she was alright... Maybe Sadie wouldn't be too worried... She hoped...
He'd nearly fallen asleep again when Blackie started tugging at him, and he stirred again long enough to lie down. "Sure thing..." He murmured, merely to acknowledge her suggestions. For just a second or two, he'd relaxed, before Blackie suddenly sat bolt upright and scared him halfway out of his wits. The movement startled him, and he sat up just as quickly. Though, unlike her, he'd quickly looked toward the door. Then, around the room. They were still alone.
"What's wrong?" He asked, unable to hide the panic in his tone. Though, to her he probably just sounded concerned. For an instant, he was sure that someone had intruded on them.
Blackie turned and smiled at Yuki, though she bore a bit of fang with it. Was there something really wrong? Besides her being out all night with a friend she had just met and slept in the same room with? Maybe, her caretaker would have a fit, she knew it. There went supper that night, maybe all meals if she wasn't careful... Then again Sadie wasn't 'that' cruel. "Nothing, just that I've been out all night without even telling Sadie. Oh I'm so much trouble when I get home, worse I fear her coming to find me... She doesn't even really know where I am or 'who' I'm with. She just knows you to be a stranger." Blackie puzzled it all over, yep, she was doomed. "I should really get home, before anything else happens... Not that sleeping here wasn't a bad thing." She quickly added to the end as to not seem rude.
Oh she was in hot water, Sliding along the covers a little she grabbed her clothing and started getting dressed beneath them, though it took her a couple tries to get her shirt on right. Oh the things that happened when one was in a hurry and couldn't think straight. She just hoped that Sadie wouldn't be too angry with her. "Perhaps I should bring her over sometime? Don't think your house mates would mind... Do you?" She wondered tilting her head to one side as she stuffed her arms through their respected sleeves.
Oh yes, that was a bit of a problem. As Blackie went about trying to dress, he got out of bed to do the same. He was calmer about the whole ordeal, though that likely had to do with the fact that he knew that only one person would fail to respect a locked door and be able to get past it, and he was securely confined last he knew. When it came to that one, though, being caught indecent would be the least of his worries.
He'd quietly allowed Blackie to explain her concerns until he had thrown on his clothing from the night before. Then, he turned to address her. "Where do you live? I'll have you home before she even notices you're gone." Of course, assuming that Sadie had gone to bed, and hadn't awakened yet. It wasn't yet dawn, so he hoped for that much.
"Hmm?" She looked up as she yanked her pants into place before pulling on her shoes. "Oh, on the other side of the park where we met. It's an old crumbling apartment building. Been trying to get her to buy a bigger place if she ever thought that maybe she would be having more come and live with her."
At this Black shrugged and hoisted herself to her feet. Pulling herself closer to Yuki, wondering just how soon the sun would be up. She knew that Sadie was an early riser, though some days she slept in really late... When Blackie refused to let her sleep that is. She could only hope that her being out all night with Yuki wouldn't upset Sadie too much.
"She's normally asleep right now, though a little after Dawn she will awaken, unless she chose to sleep in today." Blackie puzzled it over, "But I think it is best that I get home before the sun rises. or I have a feeling she will come a looking for me..." This even made Blackie worry even more. She didn't even know where she was, Sadie had left Blackie with a stranger, it was only after she left that Yuki told hr his name. "Oh dear..." She said finally looking toward him with concern, thinking now that Sadie would most certainly be out looking for her if Blackie wasn't home when the sun rose.
Yuki gave a quick nod, recalling the run down building from memory. He'd passed it a handful of times during his lone outings, and knew exactly where it was. He outstretched an arm to her when she approached, gently pulling her against him. One arm around her shoulders, opposite hand resting underneath her chin. She was already looking at him, but he wanted his words to be heard and for her attention not to stray. This could turn out very awkward as it was, best make it easy.
"I'm going to ask that you close your eyes... And I'm going to count to three." It sounded like a child's game, but there was good reason. "Don't open them until three. Alright? Just trust me." His final questions followed soon after, "Can you get inside alone, or do I need to take you? I'm afraid I've never been inside, though... You'd have to give me directions, or it might take a bit longer." He wanted it to be instantaneous. The less time it took, hopefully the less risk of distress.
"I can get in on my own." She nodded as she looked up into his eyes.
She did trust him, if she hadn't he would have more then likely wrapped up in a web somewhere screaming to get out. Still looking at him as she drew closer to him, his arm wrapped around her shoulders, a nod came to her when he had asked for her to close her eyes and not open them again until he said 'three' she could do that.. Right? Well of course. Who had ever heard of a scaredy spider? No one to her knowing.
"Alright, I trust you Yuki, if I didn't worse could have happened." She gave a small grin bearing a little bit of fang, letting it go she closed her eyes as he had instructed, though pulled herself closer to him as if not wanting to let him go.
"Good, that'll make this a lot easier." He stated, wrapping his free arm around her middle as she complied and pressed herself against him. "One..." He started, a calm whisper. He visualized the destination, specific area in which he wanted them to reach in order to be out of sight of the passersby. "Two..."
His grip on her tightened, firm but not painful. He could never recall carrying someone with him in teleportation before, yet like other things this night, he felt a sense of deja vu. The sensation of wind rushing around and against them lasted barely a second, and the feeling of weightlessness vanished with it as their feet once again met solid ground. "Three."
He relaxed his grip to allow her free of him, though he still loosely held his arms around her. Inwardly, he expected some sort of shock. Or, worse, rejection for such a freakish ability. He never was one to show them, unless the situation was desperate. This one, at least in his mind, had been. Keep her from being caught out all night, and perhaps she'd stay with him again.
When she felt his grip become firmer around her, she grasped a hold of his clothing as her eyes closed even tighter, as if she would be reluctant to let go once whatever happened was over with. Feeling the momentary wind at her back and soon the ground firm under her feet again, Blackie opened her eyes as he finished saying 'three' and looked around. The brisk night air met her skin making her shiver a little before realizing where they were. There had been an alley way beside her keeper's home, that must have been where she was.
Letting go of Yuki's shirt she looked up at the side of the building she could see Sadie's window, it was dark and the small window beside it was Blackie's web filled room. She was home before her keeper's light would shine out into the dim darkness, all around them it was silent besides the few cars that would pass every now and again, it really was becoming the morning hours. How long had she been with him?
"That's my room up there, the small window beside the one with white drapes. Of you ever wanted to come and visit." She smiled pulling close to him again. "You know I had a good time tonight, even if we slept through the most of it." At this a giggle came from her as she stood almost on her tippy toes to kiss him on the cheek. "Also you have to show me how to do that little trick." She winked pulling away from him and started scaling the wall a little to the fire escape that head up toward her room. "Night Yuki" She called down with a wave unknowing what would happen sometime after...
She hadn't even paid it much mind. He was surprised, but admittedly relieved. He let out his breath, and smiled. Following her gesture, he gazed up to her window. "I'll keep that in mind." He replied, before chuckling quietly himself at her statement that followed. "But not all of it..." He added, wiggling his eyebrows teasingly. He accepted her kiss, "Hmph." A laugh, though brief. "If I could, I would. It's just something that runs in the family."
Sooner or later, he'd have to show her another 'trick' at his disposal. He hadn't forgotten what she'd absently said in the park. He stood quietly in the alley, observing her as she scaled the fire escape. Once she'd reached the top, he shook his head at her lightly. It seemed a bit stubborn of her, to decide to climb to her window instead of allowing him to take her inside. When she turned her attention to him for a final time, he waved. "Goodnight, Blackie." He called, though quietly enough to not risk anyone inside overhearing. Once she'd safely slipped in through her window, he vanished from the spot as though he had never been there.

Guide Characters Yuki Sadie & Blackie
Took Place Over PM
It had been more than a week, since he'd been here. Yuki looked up to Blackie's window, silently, contemplating whether he should have come or not. She had invited him when he'd dropped her off, but perhaps she'd not appreciate an unannounced visit. Gaze shifted slightly to one side, to Sadie's window. It was dark, and he assumed that her caretaker had already turned in for the night. Good.
After another few minutes, he apparently made his decision, and in a blink moved from alley to fire escape. His feet landed lightly on the metal, carefully placed as not to make a sound. He lowered himself near the windowsill, trying to peer inside first. He'd actually walked this far, seeking her out in the park where they had first met. When he didn't find her there, he was only left to assume that she would be here.
Finally gathering his nerve, he rapped lightly against the window. Should she be awake, she'd hear it. Asleep? Well, that all depended on how easily she could be awakened. He wanted a few seconds, and tried again. Just barely louder this time, attempting not to startle Blackie, nor wake the woman in the room alongside.
She hadn't been asleep too long that night, it had been very hard getting to sleep as of late. Laying on her stomach, that seemed to just churn with pain and kept her awake most nights. This one seemed no different, groaning she rolled over on her hammock made of spider silk. An arm wrapped itself over her eyes as a soft rapping came from her window. The only one that lead to her bare, yet 'cluttered' room. The blackout shade had been opened to let the moon light in, though was always closed when the sun rose.
Blackie finally rose from her sleep as the second knock came from her window. She wondered who would be at her window anyways, forgetting that she only showed Yuki where it was. Sadie had shooed Blackie to bed a few hours before when her keeper headed to bed. How could she sleep? It was night and Blackie was a night creature. Yawning she slipped from the hammock and stepped over toward the window and slid it up to as far as it would go. The brisk night air rushed in around her as she did, awakening her senses and driving her to full awareness. Blinking she looked out at Yuki.
"Oh, Yuki." She said a little surprised, "I didn't think you would remember me." At this she smiled leaning somewhat on the window sticking her head outside a bit. "How are you to night?"
Head tilting she pulled herself back into the room and made a gesture to him to come inside. Her room wasn't really that small, a fair size, big enough to fit a king sized bed easily with other furniture that one would think was needed. No there was only a few webs here and there that held onto things and of course her hammock. The walls were a pale shade of gray, the ceiling a white off tone. Home sweet charming home to a spider.
"Please come in, no need to worry about Sadie in the next room. She's out cold." Blackie nodded pointing to one of the walls before pulling herself back onto her hammock that hung just a couple feet off the floor.
At first, when she'd opened the window Yuki expected to be denied entry. He offered a sheepish smile, as though silently to apologize for waking her. The surprise in her voice, the hint that she was happy to see him (let alone remembered his name), both were a relief.
"I thought you were a night person..." He said barely above a whisper, making his entry through the window carefully. He wasn't exactly large, but coming in through an apartment window was still a little bit of an awkward affair. Once inside, he stretched to ease the muscles that wouldn't have ached for long to begin with. Ah, the bliss of regeneration. Stretching accomplished, he finally addressed Blackie's question to him.
"I'm... Fine, I suppose." He rubbed the back of his neck slowly; An absent action. "I just thought I'd take a walk, and ended up here." A sweeping gesture was given with his hand, referring to her apartment. Or, generally, this particular room.
Until now he hadn't paid much mind to the surroundings, but once Yuki turned his attention away from Blackie momentarily he was able to get a brief look around. Frankly, it was a lot easier to act as though he understood a spider's habits when he wasn't standing here. However, he wouldn't have too rough a time keeping himself composed in such a creepy room. Just... Keep one thing in his sight. Ignore the atmosphere, and just pay attention to the girl. So, he adverted his gaze from the webs, and back to Blackie.
He smiled softly. Weakly. Perhaps it was the lack of proper light, but it appeared that he had rather dark circles under his eyes. "What about you? Miss me?" He asked, reaching out gently toward her shoulders to pull her against him. He had missed her. Having her close helped to ease his stress of the nights before, if only a little.
Blackie had had flopped back onto one of the many webs that were hanging about the room. One could tell that it was a rather dark and gloomy one at that. Being that all around them were webs of all sizes, though none meant to catch anything. Blackie patted on of the webs beside her to motion Yuki to have a seat.
"Normally I am a night person, but Sadie decided to drag me with her shopping." Blackie groaned a bit rubbing her head. "I don't see how many girls' do such things. That sunlight was killer."
Rolling over onto her side, Blackie watched Yuki before sitting herself upright again. She had wondered if he really had come to see her, she wondered if there wasn't a deeper meaning to it all. A yawn came from the spider before she shook it away. What was wrong with her? She was really tired and she didn't know if it was from her day out? Or something else...
"So you were out on a walk and came here?" She mused leaning back a little. "Strange that your feet lead you here, How's everyone back at your home? That serious one still just as serious as ever?" She wondered remembering Vincent, Mr Bigmouth. There had always been one question that had been nagging at her, that she forgot about way back when, but was it really the time to ask it? Perhaps... "Yuki, back when I slept over at your house, you muttered a name in your sleep. Kioko... Might I ask who that is?" She only hoped it was the right time to ask...
He hesitated a moment, inwardly put off by the idea of willingly reclining in a spider's web. Though, this was Blackie, and had she wanted to harm him he guessed that she would have done it by now. If it had been safe to sleep alongside her, certainly sitting wouldn't pose a problem. Yuki approached her, and seated himself. He was careful about it, as though afraid his weight would destroy the webbing. For how delicate it all looked, he was surprised that it supported him without any trouble. Unusual might have been an extreme understatement for the feeling of this 'handmade' hammock, it took a bit of concentration for Yuki to not show disturbance toward the fact that it clung to him. "Just... Don't let me take any of this home." He said, with a soft chuckle thereafter. "Hitsu hates spiders."
It had passed his lips before he'd thought it over. He frowned, and quickly tried to make up for the statement. "The, uh, 'normal' kind..." He clarified, gesturing a very tiny space between two fingers. Not to say she wasn't a spider, so much that every spider in the world didn't have the pleasure of coming into contact with the mysterious Count D of Chinatown. "I'm sure she'd be able to adjust to you just fine." He was nervous about making Hitsu out to be a bad person; She was quite the opposite, as far as he was concerned.
Rather than dwell on the subject, he offered response to her. "Hitsu has taken me shopping before. Of course, I think that's because I'm the only one who'll go. Well... Go, behave, and not get looks from the old folks like I've popped out of a horror movie. Last still depends on how we're dressed, of course. Some of those humans sure are hard to impress." He laughed.
His amused expression remained when she yawned. She appeared approving of his presence, but still fighting not to doze off again. He couldn't deny that he too would enjoy a good few hours of sleep, but 'good' wasn't a type of sleep that he was granted as of late. Her first question received a nod, though inwardly he wondered if she found his visit questionable. The following statement suggested it further. Best to try and brush it off, he was certain she'd make it painfully clear that she wished him to go, if it came down to it. He rolled his eyes lightly upon mention of Vincent, there need not be mention of names for him to know exactly who she was talking about. "As always, of course." He mocked a pout, "Gee, asking about him first? If I didn't know better, I'd think you were making nice with me to get to him."
Well, he tried to lighten the mood, but her sudden recap of their first night caught him completely off guard. Well, she certainly didn't beat around the bush. He looked startled, and he stared at her for a second or two while he tried to form a response. His mouth worked silently for several seconds, before any words finally came out. "I-I... I didn't know I talked in my sleep..." He explained, his complexion going a bit pale. Was this why she was being so short with him? "She doesn't mean anything to me, I swear." He added hastily, though in the back of his mind he himself questioned the honesty in that statement. She'd been absent in his dreams since that first night, in fact he only remotely recalled her face. "I don't even know who she is." Well, apparently she was Kioko. "I've just been... I've been having some really, really weird dreams lately." He put a hand to his head, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Very, very much hoping he wasn't about to get told off for dreaming about some random woman.
Blackie laughed at him when he spoke of Hitsuzen hating spiders, it wasn't uncommon she was sure. There had been a few people out in the open that screamed and fled at the sight of her not completely knowing why, but she supposed it was because they saw something that they didn't like or which ever. Blackie often shrugged it off as she had followed her caretaker through the streets and shops looking at things. Mostly looking for a new place to live... Was she really looking to have more additions to the family? Shoving the thoughts away she looked at Yuki whom sat on one of her many webs in the room, the ones that could hold just about anything that didn't weight over 300pounds at least.
"Don't worry, it comes right off. And it dissolves within a couple hours." She pointed out as a couple of her webs were starting to dissolve already, but they were only small ones. larger ones took longer given the temperature. "So I wouldn't worry. I have a feeling that it would be gone before you got him." This she nodded leaning back against the threads of the web, her eyes watching the ceiling.
When things turned to her asking about the serious one of his household she flinched and looked at him with what could have been a very teriffied look as if someone had just tried to burn her. What was this about her getting to him to get to the other? Oh that wasn't happening. Turning the tables a little, to her mind, she rounded on Yuki placing herself in his lap, her hands on his shoulders. Her eyes looking into his own.
"What? Why would I want to get with that serious old thing? He looked like no fun with how he always has to be so blunt about things." Sitting in Yuki's lap she remained there, her legs just about wrapped around his waist. "You are much more fun then that one. I don't know how you can live in the same house."
A giggle came from her as she sat there, the web had bounced a little with her movements soon slowing to a soft sway. Much like a swing on someone's porch, maybe if Sadie did find a new place to live, there would be a porch swing, or she could make one... Soon things turned to the grimmer points of that evening she had spent at his house, in his room. Head tilting to one side she watched him as a horrified look came over him as Blackie had mentioned a name he had muttered in his sleep and he started making telling her he didn't know of the woman he spoke of.
"Alright, alright, calm down. I was just asking. You just muttered her in your sleep and it sounded pained. But if it doesn't mean anything to you besides being a very strange dream, then we'll just leave it at that." Blackie nodded as she had pressed a finger to Yuki's lips. "Alright? We'll just let that subject go, it seems to make you uneasy and being uneasy really starts upsetting things." She gave a smile as she rolled off him and back onto another part of the web, there she climbed up the strand that held it to the ceiling.
Giving the thread a small tug she made sure that it would remain stuck. Though she added another bit of spider silk in order to make sure. She scurried over the ceiling to do the same to the other strands that held the web. Satisfied she slipped down a strand and back onto the web, she was sure it wouldn't move or let them fall to the ground that was only a couple feet at best. Laying back she rolled onto her side and watched Yuki silently, Wondering if he was going to stay the night at her place this time...
He raised his eyebrows when the spider had looked as him as though he was insane, and once she'd spoken in protest of his accusation he laughed aloud. "I was just kidding, Love." He assured, and he'd wrapped his arms around her to briefly trap her where she sat. "You've only gotten a taste of how fun I can be..." He replied with a grin. Silently, he wondered if she'd even thought about any reactions on his part toward what he viewed as a very lascivious gesture.
Unfortunately the mood had swiftly changed with her question, and his answer. She didn't seem upset with him, though. That was a bit of a shock, but he certainly wouldn't complain. When she moved against his hold, he let her go. He sighed softly, eyes slipping shut briefly as he reclined in the strange hammock, seeking what relaxation he could get. When he felt her alongside him again, he looked at her curiously when she stared at him. "So, what time does this caretaker of yours wake up?"
Blackie wiggled herself up closer to him as she laid on the hammock with him. She wondered if he would have preferred an actual bed besides her webs, truly felt comfortable on both. She closed her eyes as she rested her head near him, an arm snaking over his chest as she just about leaned against him.
"She doesn't wake until at least 0700, or 7am at the very earliest and we still have a good few hours before her alarm goes off." Blackie smiled as her fingers walked up his chest before slipping over his side and folded under her head. "Why do you ask?"
Pulling her legs in close she reached down for a blanket that had been thrown to the floor earlier. not that it was really of that much use on a bed made of webs, but at least it was something of some small comfort. Dragging it up off the floor she pulled it up over herself though the king sized blanket had enough space under it to cover a good few people besides herself. When the blanket was spread out and somewhat dangling off the sides of the hammock her arms snaked around him.
"Planning on spending the night here?" She asked her fingers teasing at his sides a little, a fangy grin crossing her face as her black and bright blue eyes opened again.
"Good." He had replied, "I just wasn't sure if she was one to wake up before the sun rose." Yuki draped his arms gently over Blackie when she'd laid against him, finally to remain from the look of it. He tugged the blanket around himself as well before pulling her close. He wouldn't be fooling himself if he tried to deny that he just wanted the company, he knew well enough that it was exactly what had brought him here.
Her gentle teasing brought a small smile to his face, and he returned her gaze with half-lidded eyes. Truth be told, he was very tired, and it probably showed, if only mildly in the darkness. "If I say yes?"
Blackie gave a laugh as she poked at Yuki's side as he pulled her closer, her arms wrapping tighter around him as if she didn't want to let him go. If she had her way about things, he wouldn't leave even if he had wanted to, but with his little trick, she supposed he could flee away from her anytime he wanted. Though she would have to tell him that her keeper was thinking of changing homes with the growings want to take in other 'pets' like Blackie herself, though different 'species'... Whatever that was all about anyways.
"I wouldn't turn you away Yuki, if I could, I would tie you up and keep you here for ever." Blackie grinned before frowning a bit, "But you could use your little trick to get away," At this she pouted playfully. "But I would have to smuggle you to my keeper's new place if I were to do that. Not sure how I would do that, Sadie has a sense about things that shouldn't be there..." She shrugged, resting her head on Yuki's shoulder.
Her eyes slipped closed, not really taking in that Yuki was exhausted, if she had, she would have been concerned. But she was well contented with just snuggling up close to him on her web. If anything, she could speak more to him in the morning, if her keeper didn't come to look in on her and find him there... Nah, she wouldn't do that, she was a heavy sleeper and it would take a lot wake that one up. Yawning, Blackie cracked open an eye and looked at Yuki.
"As long as you are comfy here, I have no objections. Perhaps in the new place, I can spring Sadie to get me an actual bed. So you don't have to worry about leaving covered in webbing." She yawned again shifting a little to only pull herself closer to him, her bangs falling over her eyes a little.
Yuki chuckled softly, "Well, you could very well tie me up... But that wouldn't be a very loving thing to do." Well, now that he thought about it, it would depend on the situation, but he'd keep that thought to himself. "I figure she'll learn about me sooner or later, yeah?" If not, he'd have to get even better at sneaking around.
"I won't lie, the... 'Furniture' takes some getting used to." He replied, "But wouldn't Sadie find it strange if you didn't prefer your own webs anymore?" She was still tired as well, it seemed. "We don't have to talk about that right now, though."
Blackie gave a grin as she watched Yuki and wiggles still even closer to him. Not really wanting to let an inch come between them as he spoke of being tied up wasn't very loving, it would depend on the person and how well they liked being tied. She wondered if this one would like being tied up, given the way and means. That she wouldn't mind finding out on a later date and time.
"I suppose she would find out about you. Sadie tends to find out about just about anything and everything that happens within this apartment." Blackie sighed lightly,
When things turned to her room and what was in it for furniture, she laughed softly. She had this sinking feeling that her keeper would get suspicious if Blackie asked for an actual bed and things instead of just her own webs. Nodding, Blackie yawned and curled up beside Yuki.
"I suppose your right," She yawned again making really no motion to cover it. "But I'll figure all that out later, right now lala land is calling." She smiled calling sleep, 'lala land'. She was tired and she could sense that he was tired too, best to sleep now, talk later.
Yuki smiled softly, amused by just how persistent Blackie was in clinging to him. It was... Comforting. Here he had been afraid that she wouldn't have spoken to him after he'd been absent for an entire week, but it had turned out the exact opposite. She soon fell silent, and he tried to calm his thoughts. Thoughts of the dreams of the nights prior, trying to push aside the growing realization that they were more than harmless nightmares.
There had been good reason he'd forced himself to stay awake to the point of exhaustion, and he would soon be reminded.
There was no quaint little house this time, but instead a large, stone room. It held only two people, and the tension was almost suffocating. Yuki stood with his back to the other, staring at the furniture that had been thrown askew, or shattered on the floor. Whoever had been here had struggled, but their absence made it clear that the unwelcome visitor had gained the upper hand.
"He came, and went, before we could even process that he had been here." A voice from over his shoulder, "I'm sorry, Yuki." A visibly young man with short, violet hair placed a hand on Yuki's shoulder, but quickly withdrew it when he flinched.
"How!?" Yuki demanded, wheeling around to face him. "You were supposed to keep her hidden, you were supposed to keep her safe!" He looked furious, though a look into his eyes would betray his attempt to intimidate. He was afraid, and his eyes were clearly brimming with tears. Yuki stared at this man for several long seconds, even when the Priest had returned his glare with those unnerving oculars of his own. When he spoke again, his voice was barely above a whisper. "I'm not going to lose her too, Xelloss."
"And your time is limited, what good are you here?" He replied, calmly, taking a step backward and gesturing with his staff toward a door that the Mazoku knew well enough that Yuki would not use. "You know where he's taken her. There's no need for me to tell you."
Yuki simply gave a nod, and vanished on the spot.
It was as though time had skipped forward, with a void in his memory still left in between. As much as he did not want them to be, the memories of his true counterpart were slowly completing themselves, and the fruition was swiftly approaching with no hope of being stopped.
Yuki stood now in a world of blinding white, squinting against the biting wind, his breath catching in the air as tiny clouds. He was perched hazardously on the ledge of a massive glacier, gazing down below at the fortress that he knew he'd have to find a way into. He knew that he was expected, and he knew that once he got in... There was a high certainty that he would not be coming back out.
A cold, quiet laughter echoed around him, as though it had come from the wind itself. Then, a whisper; "We've been waiting..."
A chill slipped up Yuki's spine, he growled, and his face contorted with rage. Presence known, caution was immediately thrown to the wind, and his form flickered again and was gone.
In his sleep, he had grown colder to the touch. The area immediately around him gradually began to cool, while he himself felt as though he'd been plunged into his own dream world. He shivered lightly, and clouds of his breath were visible as they left parted lips.
Much to his confusion, he had gained entry without challenge. He'd taken little time to seek out who he had come for, only barely cautious as he opened doors, and when he had found her it was as though a huge weight had been lifted from his chest.
"Oh, thank the Gods..." He breathed, taking his sister in his arms when she'd run to him, in a protective embrace as though he feared that she would be torn away if he let her go. Though, she pulled against him, and his hug drew slightly slack.
"W-what's going on, Yuki?" She pleaded, "He... He said he w-was my..."
Yuki looked pained, but nodded his head to silence her. "It is true... But there is no time to explain. You have to run, Hitsu."
"Not without you." She whimpered, shaking her head.
He withdrew his arms from around her, and carefully removed a ring from his left hand. It was old, weathered and very well looked like it could have turned to dust when he had taken it off. It did not, however, and he pressed it into her hand. "I'll come to get this back. I promise."
She had stared at this, but finally gave a slow nod. "B-but... Where will I go?"
"I'll help you get outside, from there I want you to teleport. Back to Xelloss and Aisuru... Back to the mainland... Anywhere. I don't care, as long as it's far away from here." He looked at her sternly, "No hesitations. It is very important, you understand?"
Reluctantly, she nodded again. "You'll be right behind me, right?"
"You bet." He replied, with a soft, feigned smile. No. He would not be.
He groaned softly in his sleep, even through his dreams, it felt as though something really had struck him.
He cried out, more in surprise than in pain, and quickly found himself meeting the ground headfirst. The back of his skull throbbed from the impact, and he rolled over onto his back quickly to view the source of the attack. He knew, even before his gaze adjusted, who he was going to see.
"I suppose I didn't give you enough credit." Dynast said, a devious grin forming across his lips. He threw aside the large rod of ice he'd used to kindly slow Yuki down, "You're not as much of a coward as I had thought, after all." He removed his gaze from Yuki on the ground, and stared off in the direction in which he had been running. "So, she has escaped... What a bother." He sensed the flicker of hope in Yuki's emotions. "Foolish boy... Her safety is only temporary. Once I've killed you, nothing will stand in my way." He lifted, and pressed a foot to Yuki's stomach to brace himself as he leaned toward him. "I'll kill her much slower than that little wench of your's... I want to enjoy myself this time."
It was hard to ignore the anger, but Yuki forced it aside. "Don't get ahead of yourself." He stated, and thrust an open palm inches from Dynast's face and unleashed a ball of flame. Sick satisfaction welled up inside him for a moment when Dynast wailed out in pain, staggering backward and clenching his face with both hands. Yuki got quickly to his feet, and sprinted out into the snow covered wasteland.
Yuki's attempt to put distance between them was even more short lived than he had anticipated, when Dynast materialized behind him not three feet from the threshold, virtually snatched him mid-step, and teleported no less than one hundred yards to the icy cliff sides. There, Dynast thrust Yuki against the ice as though he was little more than a rag doll, pinning him with one arm, glaring murderously with quite the frightening appearance. Even then, most of the burning had faded away, the redness of his eyes and seared flesh that remained quickly repaired itself before Yuki's eyes. "You'll have to do better than that..." He hissed, and literally tossed Yuki aside. Then, stood with arms spread in invitation, daring the halfbreed to approach.
Though, the idea had never been for Yuki to kill Dynast. His job was to be the diversion.
It was as though time was moving in fast forward, with the speed of Dynast's attacks, and Yuki's injuries were swiftly accumulating. Defense quickly became his priority, dodging spells and dodging physical attacks seemed the only thing he could manage. Eventually, the demon had dwindled Yuki's energy, and even that began to fail. With each strike, it was harder for him to remain on his feet, and once they had begun to send him to the ground, it took longer and longer for him to pull himself back up. All the while his father had waited for him to stand, before striking him back down, like some sort of twisted game.
When he'd fallen a final time, and lie motionless on the ground, Dynast had approached him with a look of resentment. "A pity, I'd have hoped that you would have been some sort of challenge..." He huffed, "Had you stayed here, you could have been." It sounded as though he regretted his next action, though sounding such was all that it was. He reached out into thin air, and his hand vanished behind it. He drew it into view again, and with it a long, silver blade. "At least I can finally take care of my mistake." He murmured, and flipped the blade in his grasp before swiftly plunging it into Yuki's chest.
Yuki barely made a sound, clenching his jaw against the pain. Initially, he tried desperately not to give him the satisfaction of his screams, but when the blade made a swift vertical cut he choked out a shout.
Dynast, of course, smiled. "I'll carve out your heart, and present it to your dear little sister..." He laughed at the very thought, "Doesn't that sound like fun?"
Something large, and black, soared overhead. They had both heard it, and Dynast wheeled around to see what had made the sound. Yuki barely clung to consciousness, Dynast's words muffled in his ears.
"A dragon!?" He shouted, "You fool, do you have any idea what you've done!?"
Yes... For once, I know exactly what I'm doing. Yuki thought to himself, a faint smile tugging at his bloodied lips. The dragon had unleashed his attack, the light that was quickly approaching was blinding. The split second it took for the spell to reach them felt like slow motion, and no sooner had Yuki heard Dynast's scream the pain had hit him as well. A white hot burning, an excruciating pain that threatened to tear him completely apart from the inside out. He'd drawn in a shaking gasp, but had not the time or the energy to scream.
He gasped and choked. The scream that couldn't be uttered in his nightmare was let out in Blackie's room instead. He writhed and clenched his chest, as though doing so would keep his heart from feeling as though it wanted to explode.
Blackie was accustomed to the temperature dropping in her room and merely snuggled closer to Yuki in her sleep, unknown to her that his sleep was tormented by dreams. Pulling the blanket closer around them, Blackie rested her head on his shoulder, though with the decrease in temp made the webbing a bit fragile. Shifting a bit and squirming small pieces had started to snap and fall off to the floor that was about a couple of feet below them. Shivering herself Blackie stirred and pulled the blanket more tightly about herself and around her head. Blinking a little half asleep she thought that her Owner had turned the Ac on again and was really freezing the room. Really too tired to get up and check she rolled over and went back to sleep.
It didn’t seem long after she had fallen asleep the most god forsaken scream echoed around her room. Sitting straight up and tumbling from her very webbing bed, Blackie looked at Yuki wide eyed and gasping a little herself. What the hell just happened? Scrambling back over to Yuki she placed her hand over his mouth, already she heard something else ‘thump’ in the room near hers. Something else shattered as it seemed that her keeper was awake and coming her way.
“Oh just great.” Blackie exclaimed as she scurried over toward the door of her room, though got caught up in the blanket and landed smack on her face.
The door to Blackie’s room sprung open as the silhouette of Blackie’s keeper, Sadie stood there with a foot raised as she had kicked open Blackie’s door. Her eyes were wide with the sudden shock that had awaken her. Held within her quivering hands was the handle of a boom, the bristles at the end rattled against each other as Sadie tightened her grip. All around them were the shouts of other owners on the floors below them.
“What is going on in here? Who screamed?” Sadie was nearly shouting herself between gasps as she waved the broom around.
Her eyes darted around the light washed room, the only light coming from the hall light. Sadie looked at Blackie who was struggling to get herself untangled from her blanket to the figure laying on one of Blackie’s webs. Stepping over the threshold and into the room she held the broom over her head watching Yuki, in her dazed state she didn’t recognize him from a week before. Blackie having gotten to her feet and untangled from her own blanket, rushed over toward Sadie.
“Now now.” She started before she felt the bristles of the broom atop her head. “Ouch! Now cut that out.” She retorted grasping a hold of the broom. “Just go back to bed, there’s nothing wrong here.”
“Nice try missy. Who do you have in here with you?” Sadie all but demanded from Blackie tugging at the broom trying to ripe it free from her hands.
“It’s only a friend, now go back to bed.” Blackie hissed, though Sadie didn’t budge, she wanted answers and the people shouting up from below wasn’t helping.
“Oh shut up down there. Mind your own business.” She shouted stomping the floor with a foot before looking back at Blackie whom was merely standing there holding onto the broom. “Now answer me.” She glared, Blackie really didn’t know where to begin as she looked back at Yuki wondering what was going on herself…
Yuki's movements, the delicate webbing, on top of the temperature he had unconsciously plunged the room into quickly worked against his favor. It had only taken a moment for him to meet the floor, and the impact jarred him awake. Another sharp gasp, and his eyes shot open. He scrambled into a sitting position, initially startled by Blackie, unaware that she'd only been trying to muffle his scream. Frantically, he looked around the room. Yuki didn't look much better upon realization that he'd been asleep, he still looked completely rattled. When he remembered where he was, a new look of panic washed over his face.
"Oh shi-" Bam. Yuki's attention jerked toward the doorway as Sadie made a hasty entrance. He was frightened, better ******** believe it. He looked from Sadie to Blackie as they bickered. Even though Blackie seemed to be sticking up for him, all he could think about was which one of them... If not both, was going to throttle him first. He wanted so badly to leave, it would have been such a simple thing to do, but he did not.
"I-I had..." He stammered, "I had a... Nightmare." He explained, though that would provide no answer as to why he was here in the first place. "I... Should go." He added hastily thereafter, all the while looking worriedly between the two startled women. He'd not dared to move until now, and even then was cautiously scooting backward as though afraid that one of them would attack if he took his widened eyes off of them.
Sadie glared at them both, not making heads or tails of what was going on. She had long given up on pulling the broom from Blackie and let her have it. Blackie in turn tossed it back out of her room so if Sadie wanted it she would have to leave the room to get it. Crossing her arms, Sadie eyed Yuki seriously as she was finally coming to be completely awake.
"A nightmare? A NIGHTMARE?!? What are you doing in Blackie's room in the first place?" Sadie interrogated stepping closer to Yuki pointing a still quivering finger at him.
"Oh Sadie, it's late. Your still tired, why not just go back to bed and we'll talk about all this in the morning." Blackie smiled trying to be innocent, though Sadie merely glared at her stepping toward Blackie.
"WE will talk about it NOW!" She shouted the last word. "Do you even know this man?"
"Oh course I do, His name's Yuki. We met him in the park a while ago." Blackie answered that one with a hiss before getting around Sadie and started pushing her towards the door. "Now out of my room."
Sadie struggled against Blackie's shoving, but stumbled out of the room to hear the door close and lock behind her. Ears flattening down on her head, Sadie sighed and picked up her broom before wandering down the hall. Blackie on the other hand was leaning against the door with a hand on her own forehead. What a night, she didn't think she would ever survived from all this 'excitement'. Catching herself, she looked over toward the equally frightened Yuki.
"Some dream huh?" she asked trying to brighten the mood a little. "And it seems that I will have to make a bed again." She pointed out as it laid in shambles on the floor.
The shouting made him wince, and he rose his palms to his ears to try and muffle the sound. He would have complained about it, but right now he knew better than to try. Sadie's demand for answers was met with a gaping jaw, but thankfully she continued on with a question toward Blackie instead. This left him free to remain in his wordless state. What was he supposed to say? 'I was only sleeping with her!'? Yeah, he was sure that one would go over great.
As Blackie finally got fed up and shoved Sadie out the door, Yuki shakily brought himself to his feet. He hastily dusted himself off, looking up to Blackie when she addressed him, still half stunned. He gave a very short, sarcastic laugh. "You have no idea, believe me..." He really didn't want to clarify, so he said nothing on the subject past that. Instead, he looked to the destroyed hammock and frowned. "Sorry about that." He would have offered to fix it for her, but obviously he lacked the ability. "My magic." He added, "Sometimes it... Does its own thing if I'm under a lot of stress." Honestly, that was little more than a stab in the dark. He could only assume that the dream had caused it. He couldn't recall these things happening until recently. Either way, this was just something else she had to learn about him without it leaving his mouth first. Fantastic.
Yuki glanced toward the door, which he had heard Blackie lock, with a bit of nervousness. "I think..." He looked to Blackie again, his expression pleading for her to understand. "I should go." Then he reached an arm out to her, a gesture to call her to him. He didn't want to be leaving entirely on a bad note. "Before that caretaker of yours comes back with a knife or something." He joked, chuckling softly, while wondering to himself just how possible that really might have been. God knew that if Yuki ever found a strange man in Hitsu's room in the middle of the night, the poor b*****d wouldn't see sunrise.
"Bah," She dismissed his apology about the hammock. "Webbing spin, webbing torn. Simple things, simply done." She smiled as she stepped closer to Yuki at his beckoning. "Oh you don't have to worry about her, I think she's gone back to bed. She wouldn't raise a knife to anyone... Well not that I know of at least."
Shrugging lightly she leaned against Yuki, not really wrapping her arms about him, though her hands pressed against his chest as she leaned. Looking up with wide awake eyes, she looked at Yuki questioningly, but didn't say anything. really she didn't want him to really leave, but had a feeling that he needed to.
"When will I see you again?" she asked quietly as silence fell around them. "hopefully sooner then a week." She smiled up at him.
He'd wrapped his arm around her shoulders in a one-armed hug, free hand, moving to gently stroke the soft skin of her face. His body was still cold to the touch, perhaps his nerves hadn't settled completely. "A couple of days, probably..." It was a guess, but he didn't see what could stop him. "I think I'll just have to pick you up next time." He suggested, with a soft chuckle. "Just to be safe."
He dipped his head down to her level, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. Even this was cold, and he withdrew with an apologetic look. "Next time, I'll try not to freeze you." Yuki relaxed his grip on Blackie, stepping out of her reach and teleporting away. Though, not home, simply down to the alley. He looked up to her window for a few moments, waiting to offer a final wave farewell should she look out to see him.
His walk home was long, thanks both to distance and the speed in which he stepped. Lost in his thoughts, mulling over his dreams... His memories. The week had been a long one, and much had been remembered. Tonight, however, he wasn't sure what to make of it. Over and over again, he replayed the events in his mind. The truth had indeed crossed his mind, but was it really possible to dream one's own death? He would assure himself that it was not. But, in his case, that would do little more than temporarily ease his busy mind.
Blackie had looked up at him as he stroked the side of her face, her eyes watching him. She nodded as he said that he would have to pick her up the next time. That was alright to her, before she could say anything his lips pressed to hers. An arm wrapping around his neck, she didn't want him to stop, or let go. But after a moment he stepped back out of her reach and she merely stood there watching until the space where he had stood was empty leaving only a cold spot.
Stepping over to her window she lifted it open and bent out it. Looking down past the fire escape that stretched along the side of the building and down towards the alley way below her. There she waved back to Yuki as he had turned and vanished from the alley way and she guessed to his home. Pulling herself back into her room she closed her window and leaned against it. The still cold feeling remained on her lips as she touched them with her finger tips. She hoped it would last as long as it could, but the room was returning to its normal she looked around.
"Guess it's time to make a new hammock and get what little sleep I can before the sun rises." She sighed stepping away from the window and over to where the threads of the last one still hung...

Took Place Main Shop Thread
The full RP continues past Yuki's exit, but I am only including the posts from the beginning of the RP to slightly after Yuki has taken his leave.
Suto Adolphus The bell to the shop gave a gentle ring announcing the presence of a new customer. Dim lighting from the street entered the room for a sort second before the door closed with a click. “Interesting.” The man mused looking over his surroundings. He had heard of a petshop in china town that held unusual pets and often things people had never seen before, that alone had him interested. What better way to expand his collection? Taking a few steps further into the room Suto’s eyes moved from the cages containing birds to the table of sweets by the sofa. “Don’t mind if I do.” Casually walking forward he took a sweet between his fingertips and pressed it to his lips engulfing it with his tongue. The rush of sugar to his system was almost instant and the devilish smile grew all the more as he moved his fingers away from his mouth to press his glasses back up the bridge of his nose. From there he continued to stand and wait to see who would appear. This was an unusual set up for a petshop which had his hopes high that he might acquire something interesting. Sukkubus "You look particularly happy today, Dear Heart."
A smile curved Vittoria's soft mouth, her dark eyes flickering in the waning light. The day thus far had been uneventful -- well, except when the mail had come in. She had retrieved it for Nonna, as per usual, but before she had time to even sift much through it the old bat had swept in and plucked it from her hands like a vulture. There was nothing astounding about the mail, to be sure, but if she remembered correctly, there had been a thick, square envelope the color of creme amid the regular house and medical bills. Neat, slanted script. Her mind had taunted her for a good part of the morning after that, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something - no, someone - was coming.
Someone familiar and beloved and missed oh-so-dearly.
"There's a secret in that smile, and you're not telling me."
"Secret? Secret? I want to know!" Not even Tut's shrill demand was enough to steal her joy. She gave a small skip, her lacquered shoes clicking musically against the pavement, and spun on a short heel.
"You'll find out, I promise!" she all but sang.
"And how?" Baron pressed.
"When!" the mummified boy-king whined. Vittoria flashed him a rare grin, her gloved fingers lacing and folding beneath her chin in a way that could only read Shirley Temple-coy. She tapped her chin in mock thought, catching Baron's amusement from the corner of her eye.
"I think a bird will do him good...."
Tut's questions fell upon deaf ears. The trio made their way - noisily on the mummy's part - towards D's shop. There was no particular reason for going; perhaps a visit, perhaps for a special gift. No occasion, really. Several minutes after the soft jingle of Suto's entrance had echoed off into the quietly lit room, the bell sang again as it admitted three more to his company.
"Behave, Tut, all right?" Vittoria murmured hastily as the mummy pressed ahead. Baron closed the door behind them, his whiskers twitching in subtle agitation.
His fingers pressed into Vittoria's elbow, a steering touch, "The Count has a visitor."
Vittoria scanned the room with a flurry of blinks, her shoulders drawing up as she realized the fourth presence. Oh...well. A nervous smile tugged the corners of her lips; Tut had already scampered near Suto for some snacks of his own.
Though his ward gave a gentle 'hello' in greeting, Baron hung back, his whiskers pressing so far forward his face ached. Something was definitely eerie about this man; the base of his tail, hidden behind him, bristled. Riyo the Neko Youkai Riyo had been just far enough behind to not spot the odd trio. Today, she wore a different outfit. Today was a casual day. Which meant a light colored ensemble of clothing. The beginning of spring had sprung, and she was all but delighted to see the different colored flowers giving a wave hello as the wind wooshed by.
A light jacket, a lime green shirt, and a cat hat sat atop her golden hair. Her jeans were black, as usual, but didn't seem to stand out from the rest of her attire.
She took in a deep breath, absorbing the spring-flavored air.
Cain seemed almost... Appauled at her behavior. For this wasn't the dark and gloomy Miss Riyo he'd grown to know. "You seem almost in a good mood today. it's a bit shocking." He said with a little smile. Though, she was a woman. And woman liked flowers.
"A good mood? Parish the thought." Riyo almost sang out as she glanced back at her companion. "It's simply Spring."
Cain raised a brow at this. "Either way.. The color change is nice." His meaning was obvious. Since the clothing she usually wore was either black or red. Nothing else. And while she wore it well, it did get a little dull. "My, I'd like to just take the clothes off of you right here."
That comment received a swift kick to the gut. "How about not ruining a lovely day with your malice intentions?" The glare she sent his way after her harsh yet sweetly phrased words was expected... But still unpleasant. "Yes Miss Riyo." He said with a cough and tried to regain his composure before they entered the shop.
Alucard hadn't followed them, due to the obvious beautiful spring day.. The sun was shining. And it was just enough to keep him in. She'd put a lock on the boiler room where they kept the ... Pyramid Head... Though, whether that would be enough was a mystery to them both.
"Hello?" Riyo called as she opened the door and let herself in, leaving Cain to close it behind them. Kesmi Being up nearly at the crack of dawn and dragging the unruly spider from her web bed, Sadie had come down to the shop quite earlier. At the moment she dozed in a corner out of sight of just abut everyone that entered through the door, though in clear sight of the couch and those that chose to sit upon it. A yellow and tabby striped ear twitched as if someone was flicking it from behind, her tail twitched at her side. For the moment, Sadie was wrapped in a blanket that looked to be made of spider silk a curious thing, but it seemed to keep the lithe girl warm at the very least. Over head, within the darkness of the rafter, a pale female sat enjoying the shadows and the quite, though when more arrived she glances down. Bright blue irises that were engulfed in black themselves seemed to only be like small spots in the rafters. Dressed in a casual shirt and black slacks, the spider did her best to remain still, though once and a while looked down at her sleeping keeper, thinking the girl needed to sleep more at night and not worry as much about Blackie's well being...
"Silly humans, always worrying about the littlest things." She sighed running a pale hand over her own stomach, that was starting to look a little pudgy... thinking back to when she last saw Yuki... Suto Adolphus Suto didn’t have to wait long before he was no longer alone as the bell gave a soft jingle to announce someone else’s presence. Needless did he know that he had never been alone to begin with but he had failed to see Sadie or Blackie in the darkness. Turning to face the new patrons to the shop Suto gave a soft smile placing his hands casually in his white lab coat. “Good day to you.” His voice was friendly enough but his eyes looked over the girl and turned toward her company curiously. “You have such odd companions. A cat and a….rather worse for wear looking crocodile.” He could not see the human forms of these creatures, only the animal forms intended for those that were not customers of the shop. He only had a short time to look over the odd looking crocodile for a moment before another girl entered with two companions of her own. These two seemed to spark Suto’s interest a bit more for they were not your typical being. “Good day to you, as well.” He smiled at the cat girl staring into her crimson eyes. They reminded him of someone but that was not important at the moment. “I must say, the creatures that come in here are becoming more interesting by the moment.” A devilish grin began to worm its way across Suto’s face as he looked over the company he was now in. This was a very interesting shop indeed. If this was any indication of what this shop could hold then there was no doubt he would not be disappointed. The Petshop of Horrors The curtain leading to the back corridors of the shop suddenly swept aside to reveal the Count, who seemed to also be happy about the change of season. Garments were just as intricately designed as was typical, but colored in lovely pastels and scattered with images of birds and countless flowers. If there wasn't another moment in which Count D looked feminine, and God knew there were many, this had to be close to the mother of them all. Arms outstretched when he looked upon all of his visitors, and he smiled warmly. "Welcome! It's nice to see you all, on such a lovely spring day." Folding his arms neatly in front of him, he offered a more well-mannered bow of his head toward Suto. This gentleman, he hadn't seen him before.
The Count swept around toward one of the armchairs, settling himself down into it to pour himself a cup of tea. He was glad he'd set out the sweets early this morning, he'd had the feeling he'd have several visitors today. It was far too nice to be cooped up all day, and he quietly wondered to himself if he'd have the chance to go out for a walk before the evening. Once he'd taken a sip of his beverage, he turned his attention to those in the shop. "Come now, have some tea." He offered, gesturing from the small crowd to the vacant seats. Then, to the pile of cookies and cakes on the small table, "I just bought this fruit tart this morning, it looks delicious."
There was a few seconds pause, in which the Count took another sip of his tea before sitting the cup down gingerly on the saucer. Then, he looked up to Suto with a curious expression. "I don't get many of your sort here, are you looking for a pet for yourself?" What 'sort' D had meant would remain a mystery, but it was quite obvious with Suto's attire that he wasn't your everyday client. Kesmi Ears twitching again and the wharf of cool air from the outside of the shop ruffled Sadie's shortish hair as deep pools of crimson peeled themselves open and she started to stir. The smell of tea alarmed her senses and the sounds of ripping threads rattled her ear drums. Oh what a sound it was, like nails over a chalk board. Shaking her head, Sadie pulled the threads from her body though was scowled at by Blackie whom had looked down to see her masterpiece being torn, well that was just bad luck. Standing, Sadie stretched again and shook the kinks out of her body much like a feline would before walking over toward where the food and tea had been laid out. Wondering how long she had slept in today, certainly not that long.. Blackie rolled her eyes before she slipped from the rafters and bounced back up onto her feet as if she had just been standing there. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked over toward the scientist looking gentleman before stepping over to place herself behind Sadie whom was reaching for a tart that looked good to her, Blackie turned her nose up to teh stuff, preferring tings that were still... Wiggling.
"You know that stuff will make you fat right?" Blackie teased as Sadie gave her a glare."Not my fault that you pigged out this morning." Sadie glared thus getting her own glare and she turned ot put her back to Sadie's back, muttering something. Sukkubus A courteous smile graced Vittoria's face. You couldn't say it wasn't stale around the edges, though, caught against the corners of her mouth while her brows were just barely dimpled with anxiety. Not because of the man's presence - it had already been well established in the Bocelli household that she was the type of girl to take candy from a stranger - but simply because, well, he was a man. She still had her fears, of course. However, she had been practicing her very best to keep her old habits at bay. That is, to keep from darting back through the door and all the way back home. UnLuckily, Baron's tall figure blocked the door.
She picked up the corners of her skirt and gave a bobbing curtsy - ultra formal and wailing loudly in the matter of her upbringing. She hadn't much time to say much else as he pointed out that....
"Worse-for-wear?! I am a king! I-" Tut puffed up, arms folding and squashing the small cake in his hand and smearing it (accidentally) over his arm like a badge, "Am majestic~ Tell him! Tell the peasant I am pharaoh!"
Instead of waiting for Vittoria's admittance, the boy-king turned and pointed a bandaged and cake-y finger at the tall man, "I am pharaoh!"
But the bell rang again, and Baron quickly took both of her shoulders and steered her out of Riyo and Cain's path, twisting her around to face them all at an angle. The young woman tripped over her own feet and scrambled for purchase on the tabby's gloved hands.
"Sorry!" she said hastily. Her unconscious getting the better of her, she stepped back closer to Baron to flee from Cain as he followed up behind the pretty - but eerie - blonde. Her black eyes darted from figure to figure, still unsuspecting of the woman just stirring from her nap and the woman in the rafters. Distracted, she turned her gaze back towards Suto, as though his words were beginning again to register. It wasn't until she had realized that he had said 'crocodile' that it dawned on her (after all, Baron was a cat. Just a large, bipedal, top-hatted, dapper cat.).
"I...so you don't...um, see them--"
"We should get some tea. Come now, Dear Heart." Baron sounded stiff, and when she looked up to him she found his gaze fastened ahead. He made a curious face at Tut, who had long since dropped his arms to finish off the frosting that coated his wrists like a second layer of bandages.
"But I'm not- I don't want- not yet!" Baron finally dropped his attentions to her, and it really looked as though he had just seen her for the first time. His ears flicked.
"Good day, Count." He bent forward, "Now you have a perfectly plausible reason for going forward."
Vittoria turned and smiled guiltily, "Hello, Count D! You look very...very...--" handsome was definitely the wrong word to use in this situation. "Pretty today! Just like Spring!"
Baron squeezed her shoulders encouragingly. Riyo the Neko Youkai Riyo blinked as she seemed to be in the company of well.... Many people. Not that she had been expecting an empty shop! But it seemed like everyone had felt the urge to get out of the house today... Perhaps for different reasons.
"Afternoon Count. Afternoon everyone." She said and gave everyone a fragile glance. Not one to shoot fear, but simply a greeting. Her eyes, however, stayed on Suto a little longer than the rest. For what reason, she wasn't sure. Perhaps just because he was a new face... Perhaps because he seemed to be here alone... Or perhaps he just gave her a different feeling. "Good day." She replied to him, not exactly pleased at him referring to Cain as a "creature". She silently shrugged it off and perked up at the sound of tea.
"Lovely!" She said with a small smile that was uncommon to everyone who knew Riyo.
Cain jumped at the opportunity to be a gentleman and gracefully stepped over to the chairs, pulling one out for his 'owner' and gesturing her toward it. Riyo gave a soft nod to him and sat down. Cain, promptly taking a seat next to her. Only then did he pay the strange man a glance. He didn't like the way that man looked... But said nothing about it. This was the Count's store. And that might've been one of his customers. So, he kept his mouth shut.
At that moment, Riyo got a chill up her spine. Glancing in both directions, she let the feeling go as just another trick of her old body.
Of course, she didn't let the feeling go that something was about to happen. But he always seemed to get a surprise out of her.
Out of Riyo's shadow on the floor, formed a solid figure, who slowly arose out of the darkness and stood behind her, his hands reaching for Riyo's throat. Suto Adolphus “I see them well enough,” Suto replied unsure what the girl meant. Was she confused in some way? She did seem a little frazzled. At the Count’s appearance Suto turned toward the man? In question, his smile faded for a moment as he looked the Count over. Was this a man or a woman? Well, that was of little importance really, as long as Suto got what he wanted. “Ah, tea. Splendid.” Taking a seat across from the Count, Suto poured himself a cup of tea and lifted the cup to his nose taking a whiff of the contents. The aroma was soothing while a strong scent of sugar and honey filtered through his nostrils. Taking a small sip Suto almost spit the tea back up having been caught off guard by how sweet it really was. “My,” He coughed a little swallowing the tea at last. “Like liquid candy.” Setting his cup down on the table beside his chair he listened to the Count speak. “You probably don’t see many of my sort because people like me rarely leave our work. But I felt it high time I got out for a while and got some fresh air. As for a pet…” Suto though about it for a moment. In a way he was looking for a pet, all his experiments were like a pet in a way, but it was more of a collection. “We will see. I may need to get a friend for my dear Flopsy.” Leaning back in the chair Suto continued to look at the occupants of the room. Some who he didn’t think were there before had appeared as if from no where, and was that…a spider? Interesting indeed. “You have a very interesting place here. I would be lying if I told you I didn’t want to see more.” His golden orbs finally rested back on Count D as he spoke, a more serious expression on his face though his smile remained the same. Hitsuzen The shop was beginning to crowd as it was, but what was one more? The door opened for a third time, the jingling of the bell announcing the entry of yet another person. This time, it was one person alone; Yuki. As he pushed the door closed, eyes adjusted to the dimmer light of the shop. There were several people here, and he looked uneasy. Though, his awkward expression was nothing compared to how startled he looked when he noticed a particular visitor. His eyes grew wide, he appeared panicked, and took a step back before blindly groping for the door handle. Could he get out before she saw him? He doubted it, but he could certainly try. The Petshop of Horrors D kept his attention on Suto momentarily, a small smirk tugging at his painted lips as the scientist reacted with obvious distaste to the tea. Not to say the reaction was uncommon, but occasionally it still amused him. His attention turned to behind him as Baron and Vittoria spoke up, and he offered a delighted smile toward the young woman. "Why thank you, dear. You are looking lovely today as well, as always." He took his attention toward pouring more tea for his guests, setting the cups upon the edge of the table for them to retrieve.
The Count lifted his mismatched gaze back toward Suto, "Flopsy?" There was no doubt that this was a pet he already owned, and the common name pointed toward the species. "And is this companion of yours social around other animals?" He studied the man, watching him as he looked around the lobby. There was something about him, he was different, and not the sort of different that this shopkeeper was accustomed to. "I am sorry, but what you see here-" He swept a hand casually around to suggest the creatures in their cages and aquiariums nearby, much less exotic animals that the more common customers could purchase without the need of a contract. "Is all that I have available right now."
The bell caught his ear, and he cast a glance over his shoulder. "Ah, Yuki." He paused, looking at the door a second or two before he continued. "Alone? That's unusual. Is everything alright?" While his voice suggested concern, his expression did not change. Certainly if something was amiss, he wouldn't have been trying to leave just as quickly as he arrived. The Count did, however, try and follow the boy's gaze, to see what had seemed to frighten him so. Suto Adolphus Suto smiled, “Well, I would say Flopsy is very sociable.” When the Count made the statement about the animals that Suto saw were the only animals that he had, his smile broadened. He didn’t believe the lie for one moment but he would play along. “I see, well that is interesting to say…” Suto’s attention was torn toward the door again as yet another person, or what he thought was going to be a person, entered the shop. Instead all he saw was a small white rabbit letting itself into the shop and closing the door behind itself. What was stranger was the fact that the rabbit was alone and that the Count was speaking to it as if it understood. “How strange indeed.” Suto mused, mostly speaking to himself as he stared at the frightened bunny on the floor. Standing to his feet Suto allowed D to socialize with his other guests while he had a look around and mingled. He was originally intent on looking at the various birds in the shop but quickly became side tracked by the blonde headed cat girl and the dark figure looming behind her. It appeared as if the ‘thing’ was reaching for her neck but he did not say a word to stop it, instead he only watched excited to see what would happen. Sukkubus "Oh...you do?" She couldn't shake her confusion, though - he saw them, but he saw them as they were. And what were they exactly? Even she had no idea. Nonna couldn't 'see' them either. The who's-who and what's-what of the Count's game had never been understood, and to be honest, Vittoria didn't really want to figure out his secrets. It was just better to think of Baron as her feline-guard, and Tut as her undead ward; she enjoyed their company, and that was really all that mattered.
Baron's fingers pressed between her shoulder blades and ushered her gently towards the table. He was ultimately grateful that the shop was teeming with life. He couldn't shake the soft tufting of his tail, or the way that - as they neared the table - even the fur at his neck ridged with apprehension. Tut, it seemed, felt nothing as he remained situated between D and the tall man, waiting impatiently for a cup of tea.
"No manners these days," he grumbled, taking a cup in both hands and bringing it to his mouth. The boy-king savored the enamel shattering sweetness of the tea, taking a moment to mumble happily how 'it was the nectar of the gods' and that 'only Count D really knew how pharaoh should be treated'. He set the cup down. Unfortunately, his hands came off with it.
"Oops."
When the bell rang, Vittoria turned to see a familiar face enter the shop, and immediately felt lesser for it. It wasn't really the person she'd like to forget, so much as the event, and from the rumble of laughter she felt coming from Baron she knew he hadn't forgotten either. It was number one on her Most Embarrassing Moments list (that yes, does exist) and the color spreading like fire across her face was testament to the memory that arose. Her smile was furtive at best, fleeting and awkward and apologetic. Not to be rude, she offered a wane greeting to Yuki, wondering only briefly why he appeared so panicked.
"Holy Horus! It's Set!"
Whipping around, the young woman saw Tut back away quickly (forgetting his hands on the table). She followed his line of sight and what she saw made her start right out of her skin - and give a hearty scream.
"M-Miss! Miss!" Kesmi Sadie was too busy being her quite and unseen self well quite anyways. She barely looked over toward Yuki whom seemed to want to leave quite hurriedly soon after he came in, curious. Though this scientist dressed male seemed to see everything for what she couldn't. Had he seem Blackie as her animal form? She only saw Blackie as Blackie, not a creepy crawling spider. Shaking her head, Sadie stood and walked over away from the group, she was never really 'that' social with others after what happened before getting Blackie. She still felt like an outcast of sorts. The toll of the bell didn't escape Blackie's hearing though as her head swung to the side. Her blue and black eyes lit up, so this day wasn't about to be as boring as she thought it was. Just about falling over when her keeper moved, Blackie straightened up and brushed the wrinkles from her slacks before basically floating over toward Yuki.
"Yuki." She squeed, rather loudly and wrapped her arms around his neck. "And here I thought my outing with Sadie would be boring." A purr coming to her throat as she leaned against him, though a glance backwards was taken, quickly to see if anyone else was watching. "How are you today love? Why do you look as if death is knocking at your door?" her tease became concern to why he was acting in such a way, hoping it wasn't something she had done.Riyo the Neko Youkai Riyo's hands immediately went to her ears as the screaming began. And to think, she had expected the day to be quiet....
That's when she felt ice cold hands touch her neck. Her eyes widened. Her pupils slitted to the point where they were almost not visible. She let out a gasp.
That's when her eyes turned to anger. "YOU b*****d." She yelled louder than she'd meant to.
Cain sighed and put a hand to his forehead. "Now really Alucard. Does it please you that much to see the lady squirm?"
"More than you know." The figure said and took form. It was indeed Alucard. This time, he had his big, red hat on.
Riyo looked up at him from her seat with a mean glare. Though, Alucard didn't seem to care. "I see the sunlight wasn't enough to keep you inside."
"Sunlight isn't some great enemy to me. I just hate it." Alucard said and looked right back at her. A snide little grin on his face. "By the way. Those colors look atrocious on you. By no means do they complement who you really are." His grin turned to a look more accurately described by disgust.
Riyo's eyes became quizzical. But didn't stay that way for long. He was right. She wasn't about to deny it. "Great. Now you're my parent. Telling me what I should and shouldn't wear."
"Well I think they look lovely on her." Cain mumbled and got himself a cup of tea, bracing himself for the sickeningly sweet taste. It didn't help much. He was still a bit shocked... But tea was tea.
Riyo smiled at Cain. Always offering kind words to combat Alucard's painful yet true ones. That's when a little thought came to mind. "Alucard... You did lock the boiler room before you left... Right?" She asked with a glance up to him.
Alucard raised an eyebrow at the question... Then that grin came back. "... And what if I didn't?"
Riyo's face turned from moderately satisfied to shocked, then to fear. "That's not funny. At all." Hitsuzen "Y-yeah. I'm alone." Yuki replied, wincing lightly as he dropped his hands to his sides. He caught Vittoria's glance, and gave an awkward grin of his own to acknowledge her. Well, there was no escape now, but at least he knew the one he'd wanted to speak with was here. The Count's additional question brought a hesitant reply, "N-n... Yes. Yes, everything is fine..."
Then, Vittoria screamed. Riyo shouted. Yuki nearly jumped from his skin, jerking his attention to Riyo. He placed a hand to his chest, trying to calm the pounding of his heart. He stared at them for several seconds, slowly calming at the realization that there was no harm being done to anyone. No real harm, anyway. Unfortunately, in his distraction looking toward Riyo in her argument with her pets, someone had approached him. Much to his alarm, when she joyously spoke his name and immediately embraced him.
He tried to compose himself in an instant, not as well as he would have liked but hopefully it would suffice. "H-hey, Blackie." He murmured, forcing himself to smile. He wrapped an arm around her middle long enough to offer a gentle hug to the girl before he released her and carefully tried to pry her arms from around his shoulders. "I'm f-fine... I just need to talk to him." He said dismissively, apparently not as enthusiastic about company as she was. Once free of her, he approached Count D almost timidly. "Do you think I could, uh, have a moment?" Suto Adolphus Suto didn’t quite know what to make of this shop but it was certain that it contained far more than met the eye. Why just in the room a crocodile and a creature Suto was certain was an incubus were enjoying tea, a rabbit was being face raped by a widow spider, and a strange dark figure stood behind the cat girl obviously tormenting her. But somehow the images of these strange animals and their behaviors didn’t seem to shock or even phase Suto. No, he was intrigued and intent on watching for the time being, his quest around the shop temporarily forgotten. It wasn’t until the crocodile seemed to erupt into a fit of distressed hissing that Suto turned his attention back to the creature and its supposed owner. “I say, what is the matter?” The girl had given a shrill scream that made Suto smile unconsciously. Oh how he loved the sound of screams, it was like music drifting in the air. That aside he tried to follow the girl’s line of sight to figure out what had her in such a fright and settled his sights on the dark figure standing behind Riyo. Suto had to admit that the creature was very dark and slightly spooky, but for some strange reason that seemed normal in his mind. Though what a fascinating creature it was. To just suddenly manifest and appear like that was definitely unusual. The Petshop of Horrors The brief moment of excitement that erupted seemed to have no effect on the Chinese man, and he simply sipped his tea even through all of the noise and leaned back in his chair with cup nestled gently in his palm. "Now, Alucard. Please behave in my shop, or you'll scare my clients away." He said, only a hint of annoyance in his tone. After the cold months, it was nice to have visitors, he didn't want them running out just as quickly as they'd come in.
Gaze moved to Yuki as he approached on side of his armchair, and the Count frowned lightly. "Can't you see we have guests? It would be inconsiderate." He waved a hand toward the table before them. "Sit and join us. I will speak with you in a moment." More specifically, when he didn't have the feeling one of the potential customers shouldn't be left unattended. He busied himself cutting a small cake for his guests, "So what has drawn you all to my little shop? Aside from the lovely weather, and the chance to finally stretch one's legs." Kesmi Sneaking a small peck onto Yuki's cheek she let him go as he said that he needed to speak to the count about something. Nodding she stepped out of his way and off to the side and lean against the wall watching the commotion that had disrupted the silence of the shop interior.
"Alright Yuki, I'll be here when ever you come back." Blackie nodded as she got comfortable upon the wall, before vanishing into the rafters once more...

Inu-Mitsu Moving through the crowded streets of China Town, Mitsu tried to keep her goal in mind of visiting Count D’s shop. It had been a while since she had last visited and she was sure that he would be angry with her for that. “Hey Mitsu wait up,” Vash said through a mouth full of doughnuts. There was a doughnut shop on the way that Vash had to hit every time they came this direction. It was sort of like tradition.Mitsu looked back at Vash with nervous eyes. Her demeanor over the last few months had changed quite a bit. Ever since Neko had shown up Mitsu was becoming more and more shy around everyone and he often heard her in her room at night, tossing and turning ultimately to wake up in a start. Turning his gaze to the said feline, Vash narrowed his eyes as if in annoyance. What was it about this guy anyway? “I…I just want to get there as soon as we can,” Mitsu mumbled. “Now now,” Neko cooed wrapping an arm over Mitsu’s shoulders earning him a glare from Vash. “No need to be so nervous. Think of it like a walk through the park.”Furrowing her brow Mitsu looked into the crowded streets as if trying to do what Neko suggested. But how was she supposed to picture grass, flowers, trees, and singing birds when all there was were people, concrete, cars, and street noise. “L..let’s just get there quickly.” Mitsu said softly continuing her journey through the crowd. Ran-Ran-Chan From behind Mitsu a warm blast of air came rushing down from the East heading towards the petshop. As it past the budding trees lining the streets framed at the base with wire, swirling rapidly around them in serpentine fashion they burst into full bloom. On the breeze was the fragrance of sakura flowers and a noise that reverberated within it as faint as a baby sighing. The sound was powerful, but subdued; that of a wolf's howl. Once the street was filled with full trees of pale pink the breeze seemed to turn around; shooting straight into the entrance of a familiar petshop of China town. Sukkubus Vittoria felt goosebumps rush up and down her arms with a feverish temerity to the point that her tiny body spasmed with a shiver. Baron's fingers dug into her arms, pulled her back against the protective barrier of his body as if that would hide her from the phantom rising from the chair. However, the moment the form solidified, his hands relaxed. Somewhat. He couldn't say that he trust the tall figure, but right now - while content to bicker with his owner - he was no immediate threat.
"Creeping up behind others has never gotten old, has it, Alucard?" he said with casual amusement, whiskers picking up as the corners of his lips propped upwards. Vittoria, on the other hand, made no move to even dislodge herself from the cat-man's hold. The other one, Alucard or what have you, was hardly her idea of company. He was too tall, too long, too...too everything. His clothing may have hailed back to an era of charm, but ultimately there was something about his face; she couldn't place it and she refused to look long enough to figure it out. Instead, Vittoria burrowed helplessly again Baron, painfully embarrassed and flighty and frightened, to which the tabby offered her a consoling stroke on the head.
"Baron, I want to go. Please."
Green eyes crinkled and fastened to her black gaze, "No, no, no. It's quite all right, Dear Heart. He's..."
His eyes flicked up towards the ceiling with a frown, "....harmless." Then he proceeded to remove - albeit gently - Vittoria's fingers from the lapels of his coat much to her chagrin. With that guiding touch of his, light as a butterfly on her back, he steered her in the direction of the others. The look of apprehension on her face was priceless, and she carried her feet as though she were going to the cutting block. She looked just about ready to bolt.
"Tea, Vittoria?"
"I'd...rather not, no thank you." Baron pressed a cup into her hands anyway.
Tut, in the meantime, was absolutely fascinated with Alucard. The undead boy-king rounded Riyo's chair like a territorial dog, scampering hither and thither for a better look at the trio. If he wasn't Set, he must have been related to one of the gods, 'cause good Geb he was pretty awesome. Nosy as he was, he sidled close to them and puffed out his chest, bandaged brow lowering over his bright eyes, "What is in the boiler room!"
It was no more a question than it was a demand.
"Tut...Tut, could you take your hands off of the table?" Vittoria pressed over her cup of tea. She looked distracted, apprehensive. Her eyes flicked around to each of the inhabitants of the shop before she settled her beetle-black gaze on the soft points of her shoes.
Inu-Mitsu Feeling the warm breeze move past her, Mitsu looked skyward to see what might have went by but saw nothing. Neko and Vash stopped as she had looking around for what had gathered her attention but saw nothing as well. “What is it?” Vash asked Mitsu didn’t answer, instead she quickened her pace toward the shop. It took her a few more minutes of fighting the crowds before she was finally making her way down the stairs to the Count’s shop. Taking a break on the stairs for a moment, Mitsu relaxed. She was finally out of the crowds and thus a little less stressed. After another deep breath Mitsu continued downward until she was at the door and slowly pushed it open, the shop bell giving a gentle ring once again to let the inhabitants within know someone else was about to join them. “Hello?” Mitsu’s soft voice came through the door first before she did but she halted wide-eyed at all the people that were gathered there. Why so many people? A gentle hand pressed against Mitsu’s back to push her on through the door, “Hello!” Neko chimed as he stepped through the door quickly followed by Vash. His eyes were alight with mischief and he was excited to see the ladies that no doubt miss him. His cheerful look, however, faltered as he set eyes on a particular man in the room. White lab coat, messy shirt, glasses, eerie golden eyes, messy hair. “No..” Neko said softly making Mitsu turn toward him before she had spotted Suto. “What is it?” She questioned. “N…nothing,” A smile crossed his face again as if nothing was wrong. Suto Adolphus Suto smiled softly giving off a small chuckle. Such an interesting group, he rather wished he could steal a few of them away to have a little playtime. The thought of the experiments he wished to do made the smile on his face twist into something a bit more wicked. The bell at the door gave another chime and he turned to see what other interesting people might enter but nothing came in besides that of a gentle breeze. Odd. Passing it off as just a normal occurrence Suto turned away from the door back toward the inhabitants of the shop. That was, until the door chimed yet again and his attention was diverted for a second time, but this time there was someone there. A certain someone he had not expected to see. For a moment the smile on his face faded as he stared at the white haired girl, the animals at her side barely even caught his attention. Regaining his composure, a friendlier smile adorned his face as he continued to stare, catching the cat’s odd glance toward him. Two tails? That was rather unusual. Hitsuzen "No, you don't understand." Yuki replied quickly, "I need to talk to you." There wasn't much of an attempt to hide the desperation in his tone, though he spoke quietly as not to be overheard. He stared pleadingly at the Count, gripping the arm of the chair absently. Truthfully, he was doing it in hopes of keeping himself from shaking, his nerves had indeed been iffy the past few days. Then again, a severe lack of sleep would do that to a person. "Please." The Petshop of Horrors D sighed softly, looking to Yuki again from the corner of his eye. "If you insist, but let us be brief." He set down his tea, and rose from his chair. He cast an apologetic glance toward Vittoria and Baron, since they were the closest and seemingly the only ones not moderately distracted at current. "Please, excuse me. I will return in just a few minutes. Help yourselves." He gestured to the table again, though by now certainly they would know well enough. He offered a soft smile to Vittoria, before leading a fidgeting Yuki toward the back. Hitsuzen A sigh of relief. He'd agreed. Yuki gave only a nod in response to the Count's instruction to make it brief. He didn't know how long it would take, for him to say what he'd like. He could only hope that he was right in coming here, and that this man would be able to help him. If anyone, Count D would have the answers he needed right now. He followed him anxiously through the curtain without so much as a glance behind, never had he meant to be rude, but this was important to him. On top of that, the longer he was absent the higher the risk that something could go wrong before he returned. Paranoia, that luckily in this case was no more than that. The house was safe, at least for the time being. The Petshop of Horrors The noise from the lobby slowly faded, though could vaguely still be heard when the Count paused in the corridor and turned to Yuki. "What has happened? Has someone been injured again?" D looked at him expectantly, apparently wagering a guess that Dynast was the reason for his visit. He was far from correct. And yet... So very close, at the same time. Hitsuzen "N-no, it's not that. Not exactly." Yuki shook his head, waving a hand wildly a moment as though trying to silence the Count so he could speak. He noticed a flicker of confusion in the expression, and Yuki mentally fumbled over the words. Everything he'd been trying to figure out on the way here, everything he'd tried to rehearse in mind, it seemed so much stranger now that he had the opportunity to put it all into words. "I... I'm..." Well, to start simple might be for the best. "I'm dreaming again." The Petshop of Horrors No change of expression, there had to be more to it than that, or else they would not be standing here and Yuki would not look as though he was on the brink of exhaustion. "Had you not been dreaming since you left the shop?" He questioned, folding his arms in front of him as he studied the boy for a reply not put into words. Hitsuzen "No. I mean, yes..." There was a pause, in which he looked away and tried to compose himself. "These are... New. Memories that I didn't have before, maybe. He's there," The look of contempt that was briefly shown made the identity of said 'he' obvious to the Count. "and he… There's a girl. No matter what I do, I can't stop him from… From killing her." He frowned, and stared at the floor as though it could provide him with comfort from the Count's piercing stare. "I feel like I should know who she is, but I don't." He sighed, "Blackie... Said that I was talking in my sleep, speaking a name. Kioko." The Petshop of Horrors "Blackie?" D replied curiously, "Blackie has been visiting you?" There was a knowing look in his eye, and he waited. Yuki was ignorantly running straight into another problem he hadn't foreseen, let alone even thought he'd need to prepare for. "That would certainly explain her affections toward you, she practically lit up upon sight of you." Hitsuzen "Yeah." Yuki said, dismissively. Blackie was hardly his concern right now. "It's not important right now, that's not why I'm here." The Petshop of Horrors D interrupted, "But it is important, Yuki. What is your relationship with her?" Hitsuzen He hesitated. Wasn't one's private life supposed to be... Private? "We've interacted. I'll leave it at that." He said shortly, though the meaning got through. "I'm here for help with my dreams, not my love life. Are you going to help me or not?" For someone begging for help, his attitude was certainly moving quickly toward unpleasant. The Petshop of Horrors Count D smiled. That smile alone would cause Yuki to silence, the timing of it made him uneasy. That, however, would be nothing compared to the dialogue that followed. Within them, the phrase that no pet or patron of the petshop ever wanted to hear in regard to themselves. "I see. Well, that is very unfortunate, Yuki. Your contract has been broken." Hitsuzen Yuki felt as though he'd just been kicked in the chest, "Wh-what?" He looked fearful, "No. No, there's got to be some misunderstanding. Hitsu never did anything wrong, how-?" The Petshop of Horrors "You, Yuki, were not supposed to interact with any women, as you so kindly put it. You've broken your own contract in a manner of speaking, though I must admit... Had she kept a better eye on you, this could have been avoided." He shook his head slowly, "A pity, perhaps she has too many to care for. She's forgotten her obligations..." Hitsuzen "No!" Yuki shouted, reaching a hand toward the Count, balling it into a fist. The space between them, it kept him from following the urge to grab him up. That, and he knew full well that if he did... There would likely be a much greater price to pay. "Don't punish her for my mistake." Mistake was such a kind word. "Please, whatever you have to do. It's my fault." The Petshop of Horrors "I do not deal in punishment, Yuki. You know that." He said softly, though to Yuki it still offered little comfort. "You know our policy. If any terms of the contract are breached, I will not be held responsible for the consequences." He gave a tilt of his head, "It sounds to me, that these dreams began when you breached that clause. I'm sorry, but I cannot help you further." A pause, and he offered just one bit of advice. "You should speak to Hitsuzen, perhaps she can remember the things that you cannot." Another smile. "Now, if you don't mind, I will be returning to my visitors." Hitsuzen This can't be happening... Yuki stared at him, slack jawed. That was it? He wasn't going to help. There didn't have to be any worry about Hitsu, from the sound of it. At least that much was a relief. However, the thought of bringing this up around her wasn't something that made him happy. In fact, it was the very reason he had come here. He didn't want her to know, he didn't want to tell her. If these memories were painful to him, when he couldn't even rightly remember who the woman in his dreams was, what if bringing it up was upsetting for Hitsu? He shook his head, gaze on the floor. "I shouldn't have expected you to understand." A lie, of course, as he wouldn't have begged his audience otherwise. He didn't look up to the Count, be it an act of anger or submission, and turned to walk quickly down the corridor and back to the lobby. Once there, he paid no mind to any present. His eyes were locked firmly on the door, and he made a hasty retreat for it. Kesmi Having spun herself a sort of hammock like structure within the rafter of the shop, there she swing gently, waiting for Yuki and the Count to reappear from where they had vanished. Humming slightly to herself she almost missed Yuki when he came storming into the lobby once more. Flipping backwards and landing near gracefully upon the floor. Straightening up and walked over towards Yuki's path, reaching out she tried to grab his arm gently. If she succeeded, she would pull herself up to her tip toes to whisper in his ear. She could feel the tension in the air around him as she moved.
"I'll see you tonight... Ok?" she whispered, looking at him with concerned eyes, though let go of his arm and stepped off to the side to let him leave, not really wanting to upset him more then he was.
Though before she did let go, she gave him another peck on the cheek, hoping that everything was alright. Her dark eyes looked over toward the place where Yuki had come from and watched for the Count, wondering what had happened to make Yuki look so... Upset. She had to wonder, but then again, she didn't want to ask, feeling that if Yuki wanted to tell her he would on his own and in due time. Riyo the Neko Youkai Alucard looked at the Count and gave a bow. "Sorry Count." He said in a softer tone than he usually used with Riyo, who gave a frustrated sigh. Always nice to the Count, but a total asswhipe to her.
When Alucard heard a familiar voice, his head glanced over before his body turned to face the cat man. "Of course not, Baron. The world wouldn't be complete without the boogeyman."
Which was when he noticed the girl. Looked like Riyo wasn't the only one he'd almost given a heart attack to. He held back a grin as he saw the girls frightened yet embarassed face before she hid it in Baron's coat, but couldn't hold in his laughter as the feline called him harmless.
Riyo wasn't really interested in the conversation they were having, but she was looking at both of them quite strangely. How the hell did Alucard know this cat guy? Cain also seemed a little curious as he sent both of them a glance while sipping his tea.
Riyo's attention, however, quickly turned to the little mummy boy who was now encircling her chair. She blinked as she watched him examine her little group. Did he really just ask command that? Better yet, how could she explain what was in the boiler room. She gave a bit of thought before answering. "Well." She started, then glanced up at Alucard. "Imagine him, only a lot less friendly, a lot less clothing, and a lot more muscle." She gave a shiver as she thought of that... Monster who took up residence in her house. She hoped Alucard had been messing with her when he refused to say he'd locked the boiler room. Though... Knowing him, he was looking for every opportunity to see her squirm. Like a weird fetish. Ugh...
That's when she noticed yet another person had decided to take a trip to the Counts shop on this lovely day. It was Mitsu. Ah, good to see a familiar face among the new ones. Ran-Ran-Chan The warm breeze dissipated quickly in the threshold of the Count's shop, leaving behind no more than the scent of flowers that was quickly consumed by the scent of the Count's incense. At least, so it would seem for those who were present in the front of the shop.... Hidden away in one of the shop's rooms, away from the speech and laughter of others, lay a being in the dim light of a single lamp of a dark room. Across the hall was the room in which the Count had spoken with Yuki; the being having tried to get as close to the infamous D as possible in search of help. Heavy breathing sounded like the panting of a dog, and the shape resembled one until the Count's incense had settled in on her.A faint light crawled from somewhere under the long tendrils of hair, and within three bounces it stopped on what was now the masked face of his companion. "Hey... Ammy!" The tiny voice called. Little more than an inch tall, the sprite was growing worried at the affect the exertion had on his companion. Inu-Mitsu Turning her gaze back through the shop the first person for her eyes to settle on was Riyo. Nervously she tried to smile and gave a small nod before moving into the room and out of Yuki’s direct path to the door. She didn’t know he had came out today, if she would have known she would have offered to walk with him. "Hi….” He seemed focused as he walked passed borderline angry, so when she finished her greeting with “Yuki” it came out as a soft squeak. “Now may not be the best time,” Neko said softly pushing Mitsu further into the room. “Just take a seat.”With a nod Mitsu did as she was instructed and sat down close to Riyo her eyes for the first time settling on the man in the white lab coat. Initially she didn’t know what to think of him, but as she continued to take in his appearance something about it seemed to spark a memory buried deep within the labyrinth of her mind. Wincing, Mitsu placed a hand on her head as if the sudden thought were painful, thus tearing her gaze away from Suto. “What’s wrong?” Vash asked through a mouthful of doughnuts. “N..nothing,” Mitsu said softly trying to smile. Hitsuzen He hadn't noticed her, not until she reached out for him. Despite her gentle touch, he flinched, quickly jerking his arm away. He took a quick step sideways, putting distance between them, staring at her with an almost startled expression. "J-just..." He interrupted, putting a hand cautiously between them to effectively block her from the second approach. "Just leave me alone." He shook his head, frowning. That hadn't come out right at all. "I just need time." He continued his movement toward the door, backing toward it blindly. "I just... I just need to figure this out." This time, in groping for the door handle, he managed to find it. Then, just as quickly as he'd arrived, he was gone. Kesmi She blinked as he jerked away from her, had she done something to hurt him with the simple gesture? Her eyes grew in size when he said for her to leave him alone, now she was completely confused. What was that that just spouted from his mouth, 'Just leave me alone'? Stepping backwards she looked as if someone had just struck her. Standing speechless, she watched him move further away and then out the door as if he had never been there. Barely hearing what else he had said to her. just those four words echoed within her ears. 'Just leave me alone.'
"Yuki?" she whispered moments after he had vanished and the door had once more closed. "YUKI!" She shouted stepping toward the space he had once filled. Soon after vanishing to darkness within the rafters where she could be alone, though the muffled sounds of sobs could be heard, with the accompanied soft hiss in warning to any that tried to come near her. The Petshop of Horrors For a long while, the Count had just stood there. Watching Yuki go, that knowing grin formed onto his lips. He was sure this wasn't the last time Yuki would seek him for help, but unfortunately, he would continue to get little to none. "Their time is drawing closer, it seems." He said to himself, stepping slowly down the corridor and back toward where he'd left his guests. "Her need for them will soon fade. I hadn't expected it to come so soon..." He trailed off, pondering silently as he crossed the threshold and returned to his company.
"Forgive that little interruption, if you will. All has been taken care of, for now." Count D moved back toward his seat, casting a brief glance toward the rafters to where Blackie had retreated. It was a shame, there was certainly no need for Yuki to upset her before he left. Figuring it best to leave her be for now, he shook his head softly in disapproval, and settled down in his chair once more. "My my, sometimes it only takes one sour person to ruin a good mood."
