I was glancing around a few tab sites and found that there is a near infinite number of ways to play these songs. I, personally, have been playing them like this:
Smoke On The Water:

I've never heard the first song, but Iron Man is best played in Power Chords like this:

l_Shamrock_l I've never heard the first song, but Iron Man is best played in Power Chords like this: e|------------------------------------------------------- B|------------------------------------------------------- G|------------------------------------------------------- D|-4--7--7-9-9--12/11-12/11-12--9-9-7-9-9---- A|-4--7--7-9-9--12/11-12/11-12--9-9-7-9-9---- E|------------------------------------------------------- I'm pretty sure the tabs you have up there are wrong, though. I tried playing it, doesn't sound right at all =x He's actually closer to the Randy Rhoads way of playing it then the Iomi way. Yours is closer to the way Iomi played it, but still not quite there. I was recording a video, but my camera steals the sole of every battery that it gets near, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Oh, I forgot to mention that you should look up "Dream on" by Aerosmith. That's a fairly easy song that would be good for a beginner/intermediate to learn in order to clean up their dexterity with their fingers, because of the strange chord shapes. It's also a well known song that not everybody plays on the guitar, but it's definitely a guitar based, and driven song. EDIT: Er.. that sounded like it was directed at Shamrock, but I meant it for Mathew

Meh. It probably is wrong. That's just how I heard it.
And that first song is Smoke on the Water. I coulda swore I put the name up there... Meh.

Those tabs look pretty good but I can't try them out. I refuse to play either of those because those are the two songs that every guitar player knows.

Iron Man starts out on the 7th fret of the low E string and goes up from there. Tony Iommi almost always plays all the powerchords on the Low E string, if possible. He's said in many many interviews.
